Ogio Metro Backpack -711105 Black

Have used several back packs over the years for carrying product literature, computer and other office supplies. Most rip out at the bottom and/or fall apart within a year. Just purchased my second OGIO as the zipper on front pocket wore out. Have had old unit for 3 or 4 years and am pretty hard on them. If zipper hadn't failed, the pack would probably be good another few years.

I have previously owned an Ogio backpack the Privateer and liked it but the zipper eventually broke. I have looked all over the internet to find a nice looking backpack to replace it. I must have looked at about 500 backpacks before I chose this one and still picked it with some trepidation. When I have received it I was actually pleasantly surprised as the backpack seems to be better designed than the old one. Mainly the straps are much better designed as they do not slip off my small shoulders. There are plenty of smaller compartments to place all kinds of items so you don't have to be fishing them out from the larger one. The laptop compartment is approached through a side zipper so one less zipper at the top. Yeeey. Now the main larger compartment is not that big so I don't think this backpack can be used to carry your groceries or lot of books. It is a great backpack for work though. It is sturdy and looks like it will last for a while.

This bag was for my boyfriend, who works in a place where it takes alot of abuse... We searched out this particular bag because he had one like it that survived 5 years of hard use, heavy loads and a motorcycle accident, until it finally needed replacing after a zipper broke. Straps have no seams to rip at the top, lots of pockets, good laptop pocket in the back that you can get to without taking other stuff out for airport travel. All around great backpack.

This is my second Ogio Metro backpack. I bought the first one 3 years ago to lug my laptop and other work stuff back and forth to work everyday, as well as on the road with me when I have to travel for business. It is the perfect size, and had enough pockets to accommodate all of the wries, cords and charging apparatus for the multiple electronic devices I lug aroudn with me. After taking 3 years of my abuse, the interior lining began to separate, but that was my own fault. So I bought a replacement backpack, and went with the same identical bag. I am extremely happy with this bag and was delighted that I could find the same bag 3 years after making my first purchase. Me and my new Ogio Metro are once again on the road again!
