Eagle Creek Luggage Emerson Carryall Bag

I'm tired of velcro closures and pressure snaps on messenger bags and even the most vaulted brands don't fit my 17 inch laptop with the battery attached. It sticks out and I still have to put it in a sleeve. Unzipping a commute bag and laying it flat on the conveyer is still a hassle and seated on a plane its a struggle to get the top flap up without pulling the whole bag up onto your lap.

I disagree with the other reviewer that said this is not a laptop bag. If you have a BIG laptop like mine, you will be happy for the room, one side for the laptop, the other side easily will hold electronics.

Anyway...I wanted a sweet, viciously strong, tear proof, over the shoulder bag with top zippers and the zippers are beautiful silver and they have toggles to secure them shut at the ends. The bottom is sqaure and flat with feet and the material is tough. Love the straps and the hardware, very nice. The interior of this bag is separated by two equally sized compartments, both separate zippers. Loaded up, one side easily holds my laptop and the other holds my computer gear, files, music speaker, electronics and my smaller purse, etc. There are pockets inside, there are two extra zip pockets on each side of the bag and they are long and useful. It goes on my rolling luggage with a pass through sleeve on one side...genius! The berry color is really nice, soooo tired of black and greys.

This is a gorgeous bag, with fine details, good pockets and the raspberry is a lovely color. However, it is not a laptop bag. The 2 padded compartments are both too big for a laptop (it flops around, so you'd need a latop sleeve). Also this is a huge bag; you could consider it an overnight bag. Room for shoes, and outfit, and more. It was ultimately not right as an attractive work-style laptop case.
