The zipper seam is nice and wide for full access to the main compartment. Although small, a second zipper compartment on top makes for the perfect spot to hide the little treasures. Great for day trips and packing toys for plane trips or longer getaways.

my two year old boy loves it. the only concern is that this bag just have one zip, not as shown in the picture.

I bought this backpack in January, and by May I had to throw it out. It is very cute but poorly made. My 2-year-old toddler only used it once a week for preschool -and by "use", I mean carried it to school and back. So all in all he used it less than 20 times, and in that period the material ripped (2-inch hole) and the zipper on the small pocket broke.

I purchased this bag so that my son could have his own bag on our family vacation. Unfortunately, the bag (though "cute") was not useful for carrying many items. The bag was extremely small and lacked height and depth which is frustrating when trying to pack clothes, books or other various items that are useful during vacations or short trips away from home.

This bag could prove useful for small boys (under 4 yrs old) who want their own pack to feel like a "big boy". However, it is very ineffective for older boys (5 9) who want their own personal luggage.
