It is not the solution the company has for carry-on for airlines(they sell another bag/frame for this purpose). This one does (technically) meet the TSA dimension criteria. Be prepared to gate check it... It will probably not fit in your overhead but may fit under the seat in front of you. The frame is very durable and it seems to have traveled well so far.
