Patagonia Refugio Pack (Black)

This is really a great backpack. It has everything I was looking for (15" laptop compartment, two water bottle holders, comfy strap, plenty of pockets) and looks awesome! Riding my bike to school with this on my back is no problem. I hardly notice that it's there half of the time. This is the first product I have purchased from Patagonia and I couldn't be happier with this backpack!

Great product, plenty of pouches and separators for different items. I use it for travel and hiking. I'd definitely buy it again.

I got this backpack some months ago and I am more that satisfied with it! It has 3 compartments and a small one near the handle. Also the main compartment has 2 pockets, one for a laptop and a small one (where you can put the power cable). I use it for school and the small compartment is great for personal stuff that there's no need to be seen as I open my bag in the classroom. The middle compartment has many pouches for pens, wallet etc. The front compartment opens vertically which might be stylish but it's a little annoying sometimes when the thing you are searching for has rolled to the side. The straps on the side keep tall things, like my umbrella, on their place on the side pockets.

The color (deep mango) is great and true to the picture. Some of the elements that appear black on the picture are dark green and it looks nicer than I thought. Some reviews said that the bag looks cheap but I think it looks beautiful and also got a lot of compliments for it. Maybe it depends on the color.

It's a little tall for my size and for my stuff. I usually carry books, my laptop and a notebook. The notebook covers 2/3 of the height and so does my laptop, but still it stays very steady because it has a solid bottom. In cold days I put an extra sweater on the gap between books and the top of the bag and it's nice that there's extra space there. But I would prefer the second compartment to be bigger and the bag shorter.

The back of the bag is very very comfortable, the back straps are soft but durable. I have it for many months now and they are exactly in the condition they were when I bought it. It is water resistant. I walked home while it snowed without an umbrella and everything was dry when I got home. Also I can put a cold bottle water in the side pockets and don't worry whether my laptop will get wet.

In overall, although I can complain some more about small things I don't love, the bag is the best I ever had.

I love it! Very comfortable, love all the compartments and I can stuff it with a lot! I use it everyday for work, great for traveling etc.

I was a little skeptical at first because this seems like a campers backpack, however after using it for a while I realized how well designed it is. It's nearly perfect. Nightmare with the shipping process though.
