Ordered this bag beccause it's a little bigger then the one the ARMY issues. Held about 15-20% more grear., Currently using it in Afghanistan....its just like the regular duffle bag only bigger...good to go

It is what it says it is, a canvas military style duffel with the military style closure and it's perfect for kids in college to carry their laundry and soap. Because, let's face it, they do not do their laundry every week and when they do manage to get their laundry done, those little bags do not cut it. I learned about these from a daughter who while living at home was meticulous about her clothes and caring for them. Once she went away to school she was just too busy. She was the one who told me she was jealous of the kids who had their dad's (or mom's) army (or navy, air force, marines) duffel. Sturdy enough to carry all of the dirty clothes, sheets and towels and the laundry soap. Square bottom to stack the clean clothes in for the carry back. Straps to carry it backpack style which is easier and distributes the weight better.

straps are poorly made,the stitching rips easily.

no point in purchasing this bag, if you have plans to use the straps for portability.

The product worked well, with one exception on my week long trip aboard the USS Stennis. The only issue I had was with the buckles on the shoulder straps. They want to twist and hang vertically instead of horizontally. I may have to sew the loop on the buckle a little tighter to keep this from happening.
