AmeriBag Classic Distressed Nylon Healthy Back Bag Medium

This is my second Healthy Back bag. I had my first one for eleven years! I regularly washed the bag and, amazingly, it maintained its appearance. The bag is still in great shape; no ripped out seams or worn patches, but the light color has begun to show its age.

I carried that bag to work daily during that time. I would tell people that I could survive for days in the wilderness with what that bag contained. All of the pockets and compartments, both inside and out, allowed me to organize everything for easy access.

When I purchased my new bag, I pleasantly surprised by a feature that my original bag did not have--a non-slip surface on the strap. Thank you Ameribag! Nylon on nylon could be quite slippery, but I have no difficulty keeping the bag on my shoulder even when wearing a lightweight nylon windbreaker.

I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in a quality product with great design features.

This is my second Ameribag, of distressed nylon. My first was the small size which is by no means Small! I have stuffed it to the gills and have no trouble finding items due to the great interior pockets, some with zippers as well as the outer pockets with zipped and/or velcro closures. Because I now own an IPAD with a nice case around it and with airline restrictions on the number of carry on bags one have travel with I wanted my "personal" item to hold all my expensive electronic gadgets including the IPAD plus the other usual items. Note: the IPAD also fits in the SMALL size Ameribag, but I wanted even more room. The Medium size is excellent for these purposes, with an additional 2" in height and 2" in width over the small size. I prefer the "distressed" nylon bag, as I live in Florida and want a cool fabric, when I travel either on road trips or via airlines. Note that this bag will hold the following items easily: IPAD, cell phone, camera, GPS, Flip Video, IPOD, plus small umbrella, rolled up "shawl" (to keep me cozy on a plane)plus large wallet, keys, snacks, a bottle of water (purchased once I go through security of course!), cosmetics, meds. Easy to find all these items due to huge interior space and the many separate pockets. The non-slip strap is great and is also adjustable allowing for wearing bag across your back still with ease of getting into main zippered compartment, or on shoulder. Keeps thieves away from zipper by wearing zipper placed against your body. Distributes weight well to prevent achy back. Just want to note that some reviewers said they wished instead of the velcro closings on two of the 3 large outer compartments, that they were all zippered. Let me tell you that the velcro is so "sticky" that you won't have a problem worrying that something might fall out or get nabbed. You really need to pull on the velcro sections to open them. I usually keep my passport in one of those velcro-ed areas. You will love this bag when traveling by plane, as you'll have all those $$$ items at hand and not in your checked luggage.

I have never felt comfortable carring a purse, they are always to big, to small, to long or to short. I don't mind carring a backpack but sometimes they are just not practical. This bag is the best of both worlds. It is not a backpack so a little more upscale and yet it can be tossed over your shoulder and has the ease of one.

Tons of space and great compartments inside and out for keeping things organized.

I purcased the Medium size as I intended to use it when I went on vacation. This bag fit all my needs. Easy to carry and not bulky. It could be worn over my shoulder or extend the strap and I was able to sling it across so the zipper rested in front for those crowded areas were pick pockets are plentiful.

I was able to carry: larger wallet, small digital camera, 1 guide book, 1 paperback novel, 2 glass cases, a water bottle, gloves, a small umbrella and a shawl for when it got cold on the way home. All this and it did not seem heavy, clumsy or bulky...AMAZING...there was even space left over...Amazing....and it wasn't like lugging around a sack...Amazing. Like my trusty backpack and yet so much nicer to carry around and absolutley no back or shoulder pain.

An added bonus, no one gave me the stink eye when I went into shops to browse as often happens if you carry a backpack. I wish I had found this years ago.
