Amy Michelle Lexington Diaper Bag

I didn't order this from amazon, but love this bag so far. I will admit the baby isn't here yet so we haven't actually used it but this is number two for us and I like the style of it so much better than the bag we had for out first. It seems as though it will be big enough for all of our needs and I love that it has a zipper closure on top. Our other bag didn't and the contents would fall out and roll all over my car. Also love that it has a pocket meant just for mom's (or dad's) stuff. I will try to remember to update this when we actually start using it but it really is a very pretty bag and I can't wait to use it.

i love the lexington over the skip hop duo. my favorite feature is the option of wearing it as a backpack or shoulder bag-i didnt see many diaper bags with this option + gender neutral colors (so my husband can feel ok carrying the bag around). Also, i like the zipper to expand/collapse the bag. now my wishlist--i wish there is more than 1 outside pocket for bottle--i think side pockets would be SO useful. and i wish the straps were more comfortable to wear for more than 15 minutes. i worn this with a tank top on, and the straps really cut through skin!

I ordered this bag in black. The first impression upon receiving it was "wow it is great and unique." It is light weight, gender neutral, has green lining, has mommy pocket, and can be a backpack. In the following days trying to play with it by putting my stuff in it, I realized that I (or the manufacturer) needed to alter it to make this bag work for me:

1)the slip pocket at the front needs a zipper closure. It is a shallow pocket, and without closure it is useless.

2)the grab handle is great, but this bag needs 2 grab handles! With weight in this bag, the bag sags to the side without the grab handle when I try to pick up the bag.

3) the internal pockets need to be redesigned. The slip pockets are too small for wipes case and size 5 diapers. I ended up putting these items in the middle space and they will fall all over the space unless I pack the bag full. The 2 side bottle pckets are too wide for bottle water so they don't stay securely in them. Admittedly, I did not try to put large sippy cups in them.... May be these pockets are good for that purpose?

4)the idea of zip out expansion is great, but the zip-out section does not seem as sturdy. I would prefer the manufacturer just makes the bag the size of the fully zip-out bag and gets rid of the zip out function. This way the bag would be roomier and has better structure.

Once I saw the "bumble collection Brittany" bag, I know the Lexington bag won't serve my purpose without significant change/alteration by a professional. So it's going back.
