Keen Springer 1000537 Backpack

I got this bag for taking my two boys to the park, and it is great! I can take everything we need, snacks, diapers, extra clothes, and of course a book for me. I have everything i need right with me, even a seat. It took a while to break in, but its definitely better once you use it for a while... I let the kids play with it at home so I didn't actually have to break it in! I love Keen, great company, great products!

I am not very pleased with this backpack, the issue I have with it, is that it's not comfortable whatsoever. The seat on the back that folds down is really stiff. I understand that it's stiff because it's a seat but it's hardly practical. If you are using this for hiking alone, I could see how it would eventually start to hurt your back. Say I am bending over to tie my shoes... With the said backpack on of course, I lean over and the bag does a 90 degree angle on my back. I carry my books for school in it and when I bend over the bag is so stiff that I can't.

I like this bag for it's colors, simplicity and the fact that it will hold my nalgene and that it's waterproof...(so far)

I am debating on sending it back and getting something more practical. The seat only works if you fold it down on a smooth surface, the ground, another chair.. etc. If you were hiking and found a tree to sit on, this wouldn't be any better than sitting down without the seat.
