It's cute and it will protect your computer from getting scratched, and probably also from spills (though I have not tested that particular hypothesis), but it's very thin, so if you're looking for something with real protection from bumps etc., forget this one. It's not padded at all, so it will do virtually nothing to protect your computer if you drop or bang it accidentally.Also, there was some red ink on mine fresh out of the packaging. I'm guessing that's a random issue, not something that will be a problem for most people buying this product. Still, it makes you wonder...
