The first time I ordered a bag from this company, I was initially puzzled by why the shoulder strap interfered with zipping the largest compartment closed. When my son got this one, he was also puzzled. The bag is shipped with the cushion in the compartment but can easily be slid out of the compartment eliminating this problem. I won't comment on how long it took me to figure that out. The waist strap when used with the shoulder strap works well for anyone who would get annoyed by the bag hitting them in the hip as they walked or ran, and wanted both hands free. There is more than enough room to pack everything you would want in your carry on bag when boarding a plane. I would recommend this bag to anyone who traveled with their laptop often. The bag was bought on Amazon by my wife, because she started using Amazon before I did, and has a prime account.
Cons: (for some this would be a Pro) its big. there is actually enough room to hold two laptops one in the TSA compartment and one inside the zip up section. If you fill up this bag and use all the compartments it has you wouldnt be able to carry it.
Pros: the TSA compartment is nice, you dont have to remove your laptop from that compartment.
