I bought this bag because I take public transportation to & from work. I've recently needed to start carrying a work laptop, so I was looking for a sleek bag that could safely hold the laptop and a few other things. Until I found this bag, I had been using a Swiss bag, but despite that bag having side cinches, it was still very bulky and I felt like I was going to take out my fellow commuters with it. I strongly dislike people with bulky bags that pay no heed to their surroundings and whack people with the bag like they have a right to occupy that much space during crowded rush hour commute. This bag is the perfect size. I've only had it for a week, and here is what I've been able to fit into it comfortably:
15" MacBook Pro
2 subject notebook
1 textbook (soft cover, about 200 pages)
Nook
Small make up pouch
small pencil pouch
There's room enough to get at any of the above without feeling like it's all squished. I would wager that I could probably also fit a small knitting/crochetting project and/or lunch.
The price is also very good, I had been looking at one of the incase laptop bags, but they're about 80 bucks. This is a very similar size (a coworker has an incase bag). The quality feels quite sturdy. And the straps make it very comfortable, the other bags I've tried with my macbook felt heavy, this bag makes the load feel rather light.
*** UPDATE ***
The seaming where the two straps meet up at the top started to split a few months ago. It hasn't gotten bad and seems to be holding, but I thought I should let others know. Was looking for a bag to use on my motorcycle for my laptop. This bag was perfect. The chest strap inspires confidence and the bags lining ensures that I have adequate space, and care for my belongings.
"Typical" size for me (5'8", 140lbs). Would recommend!!The build quality on this bag is awesome. I own an OGIO golf bag, and love it, which is why I decided to check out this backpack. It's awesome. It might not have enough room for some people, but I like somewhat sleek backpacks. It's similar in size to the cheap jansport backpacks, but then the laptop compartment and the padding take up some room.
Awesome bag, highly recommended
