17 Inch American Princess Plaid with Hearts Organizer Backpack School Book Bag

This backpack has lasted so long for my daughter with no problems. She is not gentle on it but we have never had a problem. It has been washed a few times and still the colors are bright. Great size, lots of pockets. The built in organizers hold her mp3 player and phone safe and she says the curved straps are extra comfortable. I'm thinking about buying these for some of the other kids in the family too, it has been that good.

Backpack actually arrived with broken zippers.

Threads don't close and then zipper handle comes off of clasp when any firm pressure is applied.

It's junk and I'm just too Christmas exhausted to go through the hassle of returning yet another inferior Amazon buy.

I've bought a lot each year from the early days of Amazon.

Quality is most certainly declining.

I bought this American Princess backpack for my daughter in September for school and she loved it. In November i opened her backpack and noticed pink pieces of plastic in it and started to look where it was coming from. The inside of the backpack is lined with plastic because the backpack itself is only made of a thin cheap fabric and the thin lining of plastic is meant to thicken and water proof it. Within two months it was crumbling and falling apart. The biggest annoyance is that it must be cleaned out every few days, cause of the mess. Once its gone, the bag should still hold up for a bit longer, but wont be nearly as strong and have no water proofing at all. With my head inside the bag, i can see straight through the bag in the spots with no liner. I'm not expecting this to last till school gets out. As for the zippers, i have had no troubles with them as others have complained about. I personally will not be buying this brand again as it is safe to say they are all made by the same process.

I bought this product as a birthday present for my daughter. After using it for a week, the zipper for the main compartment broke. I bought the bag a few weeks in advance before her birthday, so the day the zipper broke already past the expiry date of returning the bag.
