I bought my kindergartener a NASA astronaut backpack for his first year of school. He is very much a fan of NASA and aspires to space travel. Unfortunately the first backpack was enormous, even for an adult, and it dwarfed my little guy. So I went hunting for another NASA backpack that would suit him better and found this sling pack pretty handily.

Even with the photos and description of this sling pack, I was surprised by the small size. It's very small, not suitable for text books or some of the larger children's books. But it's the perfect size for a kindergartener and my son adores it. Lightweight and durable, there's plenty of room for papers, notebooks, snacks, and water bottle. The small size has another benefit: he can very easily wear it slung in the front, which is required of bus-riding students in our area, and it doesn't hinder or hamper him in any way.

Good things really do come in small packages. A+.
