I was looking for a backpack that would hold a 3" binder (full), multiple text books, notebooks, and folders. When I received this bag, I was excited to find that it held all my college materials with room to spare. The air pack in the lower, back part of the bag was also amazing. I found that my lower back wasn't hurting quite as much as it had in the past when using other various backpacks. I would strongly recommend the backpack to anyone who needs the packing room it supplies and walks a lot while carrying heavy objects in the bag.

I bought this bag for my spouse, and she used it to carry her laptop and books. The bag is large, but it didn't seem to hit her at the right spot on her back. Also, the size of the bag enables a person to carry more than is necessary to have good posture. The bag comes with a pump to inflate a tube in the side facing a person's back. The tube would inflate, but it didn't seem to help my wife with her back. She continued to have back/shoulder pains. Also, parts of the bag would start ripping after using it, and she didn't own the bag that long. We ended up throwing away the bag because it was ripping, and it wasn't helping her pain. Instead, we bought a small/medium size female North Face bag, and the bag has helped her quite a bit. It is large enough for her stuff, and it hits her at the right spot on her back. Also, the North Face bag hasn't ripped yet in comparison to this bag. I would not recommend purchasing this bag for ergonomics.
