Samsonite Luggage Xenon 2 Backpack

I recently decided to switch from a computer bag to a backpack for my business travel (2-3x per month).

I looked at quite a few backpacks (online mostly) and decided the Xenon 2 was the one for me principally because it featured a strap to connect to the handle on my roll-aboard (or so I thought).

The bag has lots of nice features and appears to be well made. It does sit upright when you set it down, that is a plus.

Oddly though, the strap is too narrow to fit over the handle of the rolling bag and therefore is of no use what a drag!

Also, inexplicably for a business bag, there is no where to hang your keys. Every backpack I have ever seen has one of these.

Well, nothing is perfect, I guess. I was going to send it back after I saw the strap would not work, but the other features and room were good and I liked the TSA friendly computer sleeve, so I am sticking with it and just continuing to hold it onto the rolling bag manually.

The Samsonite Xenon 2 Backpack is perfect for any person that prefers a pack that is rugged, refined, organized and has a great look to it! I looked at over a hundred (no exaggeration) packs. I needed one that gave me easy access to all of my folders, supplies and laptop. The Xenon 2 was definitely the right choice! Plenty of pockets, most of them padded for added security for other electronic devices, the folder slots in the main compartment are reinforced and sturdy, not flimsy fabric folder slots like on other packs. The padded laptop slot is easily adjustable and locks your laptop in like its fort knox Lol! I can fit all of my books, laptop and all of my supplies including drinks and snacks inside. The pack is just the right size, not too large, not too small. The back pads and shoulder straps have very thick and comfortable padding. The external side pockets have rugged elastic in them so they stretch to fit drink bottles. Im very pleased with my purchase.

it is a very good backpack for laptops max 15.6", it has plenty of space for many gadgets and an extra pocket for your tablet.

Y have kept my hp 15.6", my logitech cooling pad, my dj's style earphones, other gadgets , cables, etc., and everything fits very good.

The backpack is it not so bulky and the armbands are very confortable, as it back.

okay well, i bought this as a gift for my husband cos the previous one I got for him died on us after 10 years of use.

I'll just say that this bag is definitely one that grows on you rather than one that is a love at first sight type of bag. The reasons why you kinda go right, huh, bag are

1. The bag is a little bulky with all the padding

2. The handle on top is very obvious and doesn't just flush into the top of the bag

3. The bag is a little heavy even when empty

The reason why you would then quickly come to love it, especially the user:

1. The compartment for laptop promises that you might not even need to take it out of the bag at the airport cos the bag opens up flat

2. The compartment in the centre holds a decent amount of documents and keeps everything pretty much neat (rather than dog ear your soft files)

3. The front compartment with the bits for your phones and is well designed

4. It is very comfortable when you have to carry your laptop and files on your back all that padding for bulk apparently is for your own good

5. Your laptop looks very happy and snug where it is strapped down

So, you know it doesn't overwhelm you at first sight but once you actually use it the reaction is kinda like huh, who knew ... you're quite the bag after all.

Just got back from 3 weeks exploring Uganda, Africa with this pack. It was AMAZING! Used it as a carry-on and carry-all....it protected everything I carried perfectly. Lots of inside pockets to carry whatever you need and nicely padded straps. It is a little heavy even empty, simply because it is so well padded. Not a con for me. i expect to use this backpack for years to come. It still looks brand new even after all of the abuse it took! Definitely a quality item. Highly recommend!!!
