Received 2 backpacks a month ago and are currently travelling overseas with.So far have stood up to 40 to 50 pound loads and a lot of handling.We are satisfied with purchase.

I don't hike or climb mountains.I am an actress. When on tour I need a piece of luggage that I can manage with relative ease. This bag is serving me quite well. I have had it for a year now. I love the versatility of being able to take of the smaller back pack for overnights.It rolls well. It's roomy. Not too big not too small. When flying I check the big part and put my electronics and makeup in the smaller back pack to carry on board. Then when I land, I can either reconnect them and roll them out in one piece or wear the back pack and roll the base. I love having he choice. When I head for the theater, I use it for props and makeup. No problem with zippers, wheels or handles yet. Money well spent.

Love the color and style. Love the zip on backpack and the backpack straps on the big luggage helped in Paris metro stairs but not terribly comfortable as a backpack.

One major con for me is it DOES NOT have the pictured zippered mesh compartment in my suitcase. So basically it has only ONE compartment on the inside and hard to organize my unmentionables, etc. I just bought packing mesh bags to help solve this problem, but this is annoying.

I've had the bag for a few months now and taken it on a few week long trips. So far stood up great EXCEPT the expanding handle started to crack after this last trip and I'm worried that the whole handle is going to break off making the bag useless :(

Update: still my go-to bag but wheel tread broke off already so the bag wobbles as you pull it now and makes thumping noises. The zippers and fabric have held up pretty good. There is one wear spot on the backpack fabric. Bag stands out but not standing the test of time :( love the idea.

What I generally do is use the backpack portion as a carry-on for trip out then as I purchase stuff I fill the backpack then zip it on the suitcase for return home extra storage instead of paying for an extra bag free at airport. Always comes up as just under 50 lbs even packed to the brim!
