I bought this for my 13 year old that is built like a walking string. Regular backpacks strained his slight frame if he put too much in them, so we tried this type and he likes it much better, having the weight across his hips more than his shoulders/upper back. The quality is...well, JanSport one of the best!
Once a JanSport user, no other will do. It is roomy, sturdy, and comfortable. I carry to and from work, just took it on vacation via Amtrak and found it to be a "must have" to carry all of my essentials...computer, i-pod, camera, cords, "you name it".
