Very Soft denim material. It looks like a worn pair of jeans.

The shoulder straps and padded and very comfortable, all in all it's a great looking and feeling great looking back pack!

We've only had it a few weeks, but it seems to be very well made and hopefully durable!

It also features a nice big inside pocket which fits letter sized folders easily as well as a ½ letter size outside pocket. For misc items or quick to reach things.

and an out of ordinary one due to material. I could have the cheaper one made with polyester (1/2 the price) but I have chosen this one and still happy with it. The backpack is like I wanted and expected; size-wise and function-wise. I have no complaint.

I have a neoprene type sleeve for my 13" macbook, so the lack of padding of the pouch was no problem for me, I loved the color I picked up, it looks and even feels like "weekend jeans" to me. The size and shape were perfect to hold my computer, a binder, three notebooks, my keyboard Kindle, a tin of colored pencils, and a couple other toss-ins, with the front pouch storing pens, my phone, bottle of Aleve...that sort of thing.

I'm not a student any more but I think this would work well for most students, assuming they didn't have to carry all their stuff at once (lunch would likely leak or get squished, for example, there's not really anywhere to put it!)

In a perfect world, there'd be a water bottle holder, but it wasn't advertised for that, so no harm done!

Actually I purchased this due to my love for "The Amazing Spiderman" movie. Its a well-built bag compared to my Eastpak and Crumpler bag which I have been using them for many years.

Took a chance, found out online (eBags laptop bag finder) that my 15.6'' laptop wouldn't fit in the sleeve, but I bought it anyway and it did fit!

It has a really nice worn-in feel and looks great with anything. I'm in college and don't pack a lot, but it could probably fit my laptop, charger, several notebooks and a textbook if I needed to.

At first, I was concerned because the straps seemed too thin, but they're comfortable and have held together so far. And in the case that something breaks, it comes with a Jansport Lifetime warranty where they'll replace it.
