Leather backpacks are expensive and i don't see a great choice anyway. But the quality of leather on this one was okay. I could carry a 15.6 laptop, a micro 4/3 camera (panasonic G2) in a low pro case w/additional lense, and small bag of cables/ps, and external hard drives. all in the main compartment. It was tight but it did hold up. I thought the shoulder straps were thin like a purse. I bought some shoulder padding for them to make myself feel better but i had to constantly shift them when i put on the backpack. I used the bag for about a year until I broke down and bought the Tumi leather backpack which i got a great deal on from an tumi store that had a big sale and of course everything on that bag is proper. Then I gave this backpack i'm reviewing to my mom. We will need to have the shoulder straps sewn as some but not all of the stiching has come undone from carrying all that equipment i listed above on a daily basis and then there was a small tear in the zipper cloth. But despite this, she's happy with it and I'd say it's a durable bag because most people won't cram that much stuff into it or use it like that daily like i did. So it's not a bad bag but I think the thin straps and then the snap magnet faux buckles overtime for me was...like...ehh its a little girly???? Also for this much money and I have no idea why i didn't think of this before i purchased this but should there really be any velcro on the bag? If they had better hardware on this bag buckles, buttons, zippers and bigger shoulder straps. I would have been much happier even if it means increasing the price.
