Antler Litestream II Carry On Wheeled Backpack

This bag was sold as having the following dimensions: 13.8 x 9.1 x 21 inches

However, is is NOT the case. The bag barely measures 8" deep at the very base including the wheels, and is only 6" deep at the top. These are the outside dimensions. The actual usable space inside the bag is about an inch or so less than this. I wanted a carry-on bag that would be close to the maximum carry-on size (9" deep) and at only 5.5 lbs, this bag seemed to be one of the only ones on the market that was the maximum carry-on size with trolley and backpack in this light weight. The stated dimensions are a lie -it was too good to be true.

Because the seller was a 3rd party (LuggagePoint), I had to pay for shipping costs back, which were twenty-five dollars! I am now out this money even though the description was a lie. The box that it arrived in was also badly torn up so I could not even use the same box to ship it back. The seller was lucky that the bag didn't arrived damaged given the poor condition of the Antler box they shipped it in. Overall, I am VERY unhappy with this purchase.

This is high quality luggage for those that like to travel light. It would be a shame to use it as a book bag as it is an ideal carry-on and will meet airline requirements as such. What it has that most carry ons lack are backpack straps tucked flat in a zip closure compartment. This is the type of bag used by Rick Steves in his on the go style(which I hope to emulate). After careful examination of the construction, I feel that it can serve for many years of trips. Just don't give one to a child to use as a book bag as they can trash anything.
