I just logged into amazon to see if they still make this bag so I can buy one for my brother who is getting a bike for his 40th birthday. Yup they do. This is a great bag. The mesh back has no comparison. Not only does it keep me cool, but I no longer warm my water through my body heat as I did with my cannondale and camelback. The quality is there too. While my mountainbike is trashed, the bag still looks fine, if a little soiled. My only comment would be to make sure you don't need the larger size of the Race EXP instead. While the Race X is very sleek, it only has room for a jacket and maybe a pair of flipflops in the main compartment when it's full of water.Taking into consideration that this is meant to be a small bag, if you're just carrying a few things (light jacket, trail mix, water bladder, camera and some bike tools), its perfect. I used this non stop on a week long trip though Germany during the hottest heatwave in years, and its mesh straps and cool Aircomfort back really kept me comfortable in the 95 degree heat. The built in rain-cover is also excellent. The bag is not a lightweight pack, as it has some rigid support, but I think this will add to its stability while running of on a bike and ultimately to its longevity. Also, I must add that the Dueter water bladder is the best I've ever used. I love that the top completely opens and the mouth piece is easily taken apart to clean. Has never leaked. Really great.

My husband hiked 28 miles in one day with this on his back, and loved the amount of storage and the weight. He can't stand a sweaty, overheated back, and the construction of this pack kept his back nice and cool. Also, have successfully used the rain fly to keep our stuff nice and dry. The hydration pack insert is easier to fill than the camelback, but the part that goes in your mouth is slightly harder to clean, as it has a spring and small parts that have to be disassembled.Read Best Reviews of Deuter Race X Air w/2L Res.
