I wore this money belt to Haiti 4 times in the past year on mission trips. Its cool, comfortable, hides easily, washes well (a must in >100 degree weather), has enough room for "essential travel documents" as well as cash and is easy to access in a restroom or other semiprivate place. Best of all, when you look in a mirror and ask "does this make my butt look fat?" the answer is no. It has held up well through rigorous circumstances and I have purchased extras for family and coworkers on subsequent trips. I would recommend this for casual and serious travelers alike.

From the two other reviews, I got the impression that this is a higher quality pouch for the money. My problem with this and all other pouch design is the elastic belt. The elastic does not last long before it loses its elasticity. For the price, I thought the belt would be more sturdy. I just cut the elastic belt off and replace it with a velcro strap. The velcro is more sturdy and is easy to adjust the tension around your waist. For those who do not like the feel of the loop against your skin, I just create a casing (similar to a pillow case with both ends open) with about 1/2 inch of velcro at each end to prevent the casing from coming lose during velcro adjustment. I bought this pouch to carry money on my summer vacation. The silk is soft and smooth, and fits well under my shirt/pants. However, the plastic lining retains body heat, and precipitates sweat, making the pouch uncomfortable. Without the liner, there is the possibility of having damp money.
