Christmas so he would have a quality pack for his books at college. He loves the quality and storage space this pack has. Overall a good purchase and experience.

After owning this bag for about 7 months now I believe I can give it a fairly honest review. First off, I was coming off a Wenger bag that I really liked and cost about $40 less than this bag. This bag cost me about $110. If I were to base my opinion of this product on the price alone then I would be disappointed. I do not think the bag is worth anything close to $100. There are far better laptop bags out there that would be a better purchase.Positives:
-Roomy. Can fit my laptop, sneakers, gym clothes, rain jacket and a few other items with relative ease.
-Lots of pockets.
-Sternum strap. I like the secure feeling of that bag being strapped onto me.
-Unique design
Negative:
-Expensive.
-Questionable build quality. Stitching is starting to come apart in certain areas. The lower back cushioning is fraying.
-No exclusive compartment for files and folders.
-No water bottle pocket/sleeve. If you carry around a water bottle in the side compartment it will fall out. It does not hold it securely. My old Wenger bag would securely hold a water bottle and a compact umbrella in the side compartments, no such luck with this bag.
-Unnecessary clips. There are 2 useless clips in the front bag. They serve no purpose but I guess give it a rugged look?
-Uncomfortable if bag is full or worn for long periods of time. If the bag is filled to the brim with your stuff it will fit up against you uncomfortably. The cushioning could be a lot better and more breathable. I could feel the back of my laptop being pressed up against me at times.
-Does not stand up properly when on the floor. If you take public transportation it is common courtesy to take off you backpack and put it on the floor in between your legs. This bag doesn't want to stand up straight and keeps falling over. It gets annoying after a while.
To sum it up it all comes down to the price point. If this bag costs $40-50 then I would say go get it. It would be worth it. But at over $110 I would recommend that you go with a different bag. You will be disappointed after a few months use. This is a great bag for anyone looking for something bigger. It's not so good if you're looking for something small and compact. Would recommend this bag :)It's pretty much a decent bag, but just not even close to what I was looking for. Very poorly designed, padded, etc. Just really didn't like this as much as my "Boss" messenger bag that I was trying to replace. I must say I have some pretty stiff requirements for what I need in a bag, this hit about 4 of them, but not all 10. However I feel that most would be happy as a personal bag and not a work bag. Bag looked nice, has a few features, but it seems it wasn't their latest version of this bag either, which dissappointed me. Probably why it was so much cheaper, so that's likely my fault for not reading the fine-print or knowing they had a V-1 of this bag.
