After dragging my old pack around for years of hiking and canoeing from the Canadian shield to the Andes of Peru I got tired of sewing it up every few months and, with a fair bit of research, chose this as the replacement. I have been thoroughly pleased with it thus far and, although not abused as much yet as the old one was, appears to be holding up better. I found the aluminum zipper pulls a bit "fiddley" but they were easy to remove and the strings underneath them work great by themselves. Overall a great pack!
