I can put my bike helmet in the front pouch, plenty of storage for water bottles, books, groceries, change of clothes, but not all at once. The hip pockets are small, good for a Clifbar, gel or keys, not a cell or ipod. The cinch on the go is amazing, get your fit and then cinch it all down, keeps the pack tight which is great especially if you're moving fast or biking.

This pack is very comfortable and well made. Its many pockets are handy for all my gear when I do day hikes, or snow shoe, and I am very glad I got it.

This thing is perfect for the day packer and extended day packer. The only problem I have is the clip for the waist stopped clipping after about 10 uses. I still need to look into what they can do for me.
