Seems sturdy so far. My second grade daughter has used it for a school bag every day for over a month. The net for water bottles on the side is a bit tight but we make it work. Velcro closure is secure. Second compartment inside makes it nice to separate books from lunchbox etc.

ALREADY starting to fall apart and I bough it at the end of February...my daughter is very disappointed with the product.
