UPDATE: I carry this bag with me every day, and it's still holding up! A few threads have come undone, but that's expected. Great bag!

The shade of brown is a bit darker than the picture shows, but that's my only concern. I've only had this bag for a few days, so I won't be able tell you how well it holds up until later. But it looks very well made with good materials. And it's VERY roomy! Almost as if it is bigger on the inside, because it looks small, but can hold all of my schoolwork and my laptop, which is a 13 inch Macbook Pro. Laptop has a somewhat loose fit with about 1/2 inch of space left on each side. (This WON'T hold a 15 inch computer, just to let you know.) Comfortable on my shoulder too. As of now, I'll definitely recommend this.

I really like this bag. I searched for a new bag for weeks and finally settled on this one. I would have preferred a black one, but the color on this one was nice and subtle enough to be okay. The material is soft but sturdy, the strap is strong, and I especially like the front pocket. It's big enough to put your wallet and other small things you might need to have easily at hand, but not so big that you have to dig to the bottom of the bag. The bottom inside of the bag is strong and sturdy as well, but not so stiff that it won't mold to your side while carrying. The inside main pocket is a nice size but again, not so big that you can't find what you need relatively quickly. Overall I would highly recommend this bag.

The leather buttons on the corners are nice for protection against wear and the hinges have leather for durability. The zipper pocket is very useful and both interiors have a water resistant lining.

I bought this bag for my teenage daughter to use for school, and within two months it had begun to show signs of wear, and after only four months, it was in tatters and she was unable to use it at all. It is not made of canvas, only a thin material with a canvas-like weave, the lining is thin and caught on everything and was fraying at every seem, and the leather-look vinyl that attaches the strap tore in no time at all. This is definitely not worth the money.

Strap broke a couple months into its lifespan. The actual weight carrying capacity of the bag is extremely limited. Do not recommend.
