I really like this laptop bag. It looks very sleek and fit my 17" laptop, along with a few books and notebooks in the main pouch. There's also ample space in the front pouch, but be warned! Don't overfill this bag, especially the front pouch, as this can lead the zipper to separate from the bag and make it unusable. This happened to me after about six months of using it, and I will admit I often stuffed it full when traveling. But I like the bag so much and it's very affordable, so I'll be purchasing a new one.
I bought this exact bag from Macy's. This is the nicest messenger/laptop bag I have owned to date. It has two main compartments. The back compartment has a nice, padded spot for your (up to 15.6") laptop, which provides great protection without too much weight. In that compartment, you also have two netted pockets for whatever you'd like, be it your mouse, power cord, etc. The other main, front compartment is very spacious as well. This compartment is split in two by a divider. Also within the compartment, there is one "large" zippered pocket, two open pockets (one is netted), and two pockets sized for pens/pencils. The shoulder pad on the strap is great. The bag is also great for travel. It is "checkpoint friendly." The large pocket for your laptop opens up completely, thanks to a zipper that goes around the outside, allowing you to open the compartment and lay it flat. You don't even have to take your laptop out of the bag going through a TSA checkpoint...at least you shouldn't. Depends on how pissy the TSA agent is on that day. For my use, I don't really carry my laptop around that often. I use this as my main, everyday bag to and from work.
HOWEVER, I've been using the bag for a full year now. Finally found a flaw. The other day, one of the zippers on the front pocket popped off. I was still able to use the bag (able to open/close with the second zipper) for about a week, until that zipper popped off the teeth. Bag is basically useless now. Was really close to buying a second one, figuring it was just bad luck, until I read the other review listed here and saw that someone else had the same issue with the zippers on the front pocket. Lovely bag, but apparently not very durable.
