Perfect size to use on campus when I don't need my laptop. It's simple, yet holds a lot more than it looks like it would. The colors are great, and the straps are comfy. The front pocket zipper pull, however, fell off the first time I used it :(

I first discovered Crumpler a few years ago while looking for a camera bag. Ever since then, I have been an avid fan. The design of these bags is absolutely superb. Top quality fabric and construction that would put any worries to rest. Add in the lifetime warranty, which states if any part of the bag, like zippers or stitches break or tear, they will replace the bag for free without any receipt whether you are the original owner or not, and you have an irresistible purchase or your hands.

Heading off to college, I wanted a new bag for my laptop that could also hold my books for class. I immediately went to Crumpler to look for a bag. I purchased the Private Zoo in Black/Gunmetal Grey. To be honest I was disappointed by the color choices. I found them to be a little too obnoxious, but I digress.

The bag is extremely comfortable to wear. The adjustable straps are securely sewn to the bottom of the bag while the shoulder pieces are a part of the backpack. This mean that your shoulder straps will NEVER rip away from the bag again...genius. Thick soft pads line the shoulder straps and the back. The design fits ergonomically to your back. The design of this bag is so fitting that I sometimes I forget that I'm wearing it!

Do you live in the city? Are you ever paranoid that someone might steal something from your bag while you're waiting for the train, on the train, or if you are in a crowd? Worry no more. Crumpler has designed the zippers to tuck under a small piece of fabric, like a lip, at either end of the bag. But there are two zippers how does that work? Well, there is a small hole for one of the zippers to easily hide in.

As far as complaints, I have only one. For $85, you aren't getting a whole lot of space. I can fit my 15' macbook, pair of Shure headphones, backpack charger, one change of clothes, and maybe a journal. This sounds like it might be a lot, but I often find myself running out of space when going home for the weekend. I know this is a daybag, but would be nice to get a little more space.

All in all, Crumpler is a fantastic company that makes superb products. If you buy this bag, you won't forget it.

Solar Bear Solar Powered Laptop Backpack

It would have been GREAT if this product worked.. Unfortunately, I was sent a defective unit. I charged the battery pack to full via ac/usb cable, the LED1 light turned from red to green and still, it does NOT charge anything when flipped to 5.5v.. I tried charging my Ipod, cellphone, camera, tablet, nothing.... The good news? the LED2 flashlight works which is built into the battery unit.... Another thing which is VERY weird, when I plugged in my Droid Razr Maxx cellphone into the charging battery unit, my cell phone started freaking out and dialing numbers on its own like it was possessed. Very weird..

After modifications, this is a good solar backpack. Replace the battery and all attachments.:-). 3 stars.

update, the backpack is still holding up well but it chafes the back of my neck a little and one or two of the zippers has fallen off.

I own this bag in orange and have owned it for over five years. I use this bag as my fishing back pack and it is holding up very well. While not advertised as water proof this bag is always dry ever when it is in the back of my kayak getting splashed on from the top and bottom since it rests right above a scupper hole. All day comfort when hiking to mountain streams and lakes but this bag it rarely loaded with more then ten pounds of gear. I currently own four outdoor product back packs and love them all.

Purchased as a Christmas gift. Product received was damaged and appeared used; not new. Searched for a telephone number for product distributor & could only find an address, no telephone number to discuss return/replacement of product. Barely fits a 15.6" notebook.

I LOVE the beautiful design on my case, and the cushioning is top-notch for protecting my computer. However I deducted a star because it has a chemical odor, I put it through the wash and air dried it but the odor still persists (though it is lessened). I don't know if machine washing is recommended (probably not) but doing it once worked fine for me, no damage to the design or durability.

I thought it would at least have a inside pocket or something but it doesn't. It looks nice and goes with everything else I got but it is not very thick and pretty flimsy. The strap to carry it with is nice. But I think if I had to pick again I would have went with something a little more durable.

This carry on bag fit very well under the seat or in the overhead compartment. I was able to fit a long weekend's worth of clothes into it. The bonus bag is great. The carry on is very attractive!

It's super cute, larger than I thought, and really easy to store. Might not end up being the most durable, but again, very useful for overnight stays and doesn't take up a lot of space when not in use.

European Style Rucksack Backpack Heavyweight Canvas Bag

I bought two of these for light hiking and weekend trips. The pack is sturdy, the pockets useful. But with a 50" chest, I couldn't get the thing on, even with the straps all the way out. Its' now my 9 year old's camping pack.

The should straps aren't padded. So be careful how much you pack or that weight will start working it's way through you.

Tons of room and very sturdy.

I'm an art student, so I'm pretty brutal on my bags--they get really dirty and sit in some gritty stuff and get roughed up and banged around. I also live in the city and I don't have my own car, so I have to take the bus, and sometimes it can take a long time to get from the store to where I live, so it's great that I can cram a lot of groceries in here and I don't have to carry all those bags.

I've had my bag for about five months and it has served me excellently. The bag I had before showed wear after less time than this one, with less use and didn't hold as much.

Some of the things that I like about this bag:

-Draw-string top with a strap-down cover, to keep out the weather.

-Metal covers on the ends of the straps that buckle, making it hard for strangers who might want to help themselves into your bag.

-Three useful pockets.

I always worry about someone getting into the top pouch, or the zipper getting caught, or somehow not zipping this and having things fall out, so I only use the top pocket in case of extreme emergency.

I'm about 5 foot 2 and I cannot use this backpack casually cuz it's too big. It's great for trips though. I can easily fit a weeks worth of clothes, small bottles of shampoo and lotions as well as a travel size blow-dryer. The only problem is the clasps where lose and I had to squeeze them tight with pliers.

We wanted a backpack when it came to the diaper bags. I didn't want my husband to have to carry around a girly diaper bag and we both have shoulder problems, making the two-padded straps ideal. The front flap-over pocket is nice and deep perfect for what you need to grab in a hurry. The interior is your standard straight down, open-faced backpack with some nice inner pockets for things you want to isolate like a binkie. Comes with a great changing pad conveniently tucked in the outside pocket (but it's covered by the front flap-over. We haven't put any wipes in the provided wipe container so I'm not sure how efficient that but I'm looking forward to using it all the time! Really a great product for the price.

My daughter is 4 months old and I already have a hole in the top of this bag at one of the seams. If you have a similar problem they will send a replacement if you call Fisher Price. The backpack feature is awkward to use. We've found it easier to use the long strap and throw it over like a messenger bag. The baby wipe compartment is always coming open so it's useless. Since they're replacing it I'll keep using it, but I'd pick another one if I were to buy again.

Product is exactly as pictured and a good size. I can fit everything I need for my 2 month old and 1-1/2 yr old. When it's filled, it does seem a bit "boxy" and looks a little bigger than I would like on my petite 5'2" frame, but I needed something big enough for both kids' stuff. I like that it can convert to a back-pack style, and tried it out for a short time, and it was comfortable enough. The wipes dispenser on the outside is a nice idea and convenient, but it did not pop open when I pressed the tab. It was fixed easily by putting a small firm piece of cardboard under the plastic tab that's supposed to act like a spring. In hindsight, I think I should have gotten the brown color bag, with the green interior, as this one's gray/black interior does make it hard to see/find things at the bottom.

The changing pad it came with is very lightly padded, so I substituted that with another one.

ChicoBag Lightweight Urban Messenger Bag with Waist Strap

I really like this bag! I have had it for about a month now, and I am using it as a work bag. I love the bottle pockets on each side, and all of my different sizes of reusable water bottles have fit nicely. This bag is very light weight, but I feel like it is constructed very nicely and I don't worry about overloading it with heavy items. My only reservation to anyone looking at this bag is to let you know that it is a little on the small side for a messenger bag. If you are looking for a large bag to use for school or to carry a lot of bulky items in, this would not be it (there is no way to fit a computer AND other items in it). However, I typically can fit my slim lunch box, a book, a few folders, and then any small items I need throughout the day in the bag and carry it with ease. Also, the opening of the bag is rather narrow, which can make it a little difficult to just "throw" your items in and go, but once you get them in, there seems to be enough room for me and for the person who doesn't need to carry a lot of things. I also like the front zip pocket which makes it convenient for small papers and items you do not want to throw in the large compartment. The size limitations is the ONLY reason I gave this bag 4 stars instead of 5.

Update: I forgot another reason to deduct this rating the shipper sent this item via FED-EX! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, retailers if you are in the mail-order business and interested in keeping your customers happy STOP USING FED-EX! What is the point of using and paying for 2-day shipping when it NEVER arrives on-time. In addition, FED-EX, I feel, has no interest in working with the recipients, and actually has policies in place to make this more difficult (i.e. not being able to hold a package at FED-EX location before delivery attempts are FAILED, which you know they will be because the drivers never attempt to deliver when people are actually home). STOP, please, just STOP using FED-EX!

i bought this bag to go on the gruz to cozumel and to the mayan ruins. it was great! i packed 2 bottles of water and 2 pairs of sun glasses and my camera and extra batteries and extra stuff and the strap was long enough to put across my chest and left my hands free to do whatever. then went swimming in the sinkhole and packed my suit back. it dried really quickly. loved the bag

First of all, I'm not UNHAPPY with this bag... It's nifty. It's super lightweight with plenty of storage compartments. I love the two water bottle feature, which is primarily why I bought it. I love that it's made from recycled bottles. I love the color. Love the magnet closure. Why only 3.5 stars? Well, for what it is and despite what I love about it...the price is a bit over what I would have paid for it if I had seen it in person. Although the bag boasts "designed in california", nowhere can a country of origin be found. I had to look up on the Chicobag website to discover that it is made in China. They rattle on a bit about being members of the FLA, but truthfully that probably means that they just make sure the factory workers get a break once a day and get paid 25cents an hour rather than 10. I MAY have been able to justify the pricetag on this if it were made in the USA...but a very thin, extraordinarly wrinkly and somewhat difficult to unwrinkle, parachute material bag that, from the looks of it, costs very little to produce? Meh. I do appreciate the one year warranty on this, and maybe that's where the higher price point comes in...as a sort of insurance to offset returns. It may also be that this is a niche market sort of thing...cyclists etc..but as I will be using it just as a vacation bag/carryall perhaps I should have looked around a bit more. Overall, I think there's a lot to love about the design of this bag, but cost to value I'm not so sure about.

Also, as a side note, please refer to main picture and the purple bag in the thumbnails to the left for and idea about sizing. I'm not sure that the green and blue bags they picture to the left are the same model. This bag is definitely not a full sized messenger bag as shown in the pictures on the left. You will not be able to get a full sized laptop or full sized textbooks in this.

Travelpro Luggage T-Pro Bold Backpack

I got this along with some suitcases in the same series. I kept the suitcases, but returned the pack. Unlike most travel packs, it had very few small pockets and organizing features, but pretty much just 3 large pockets. So it might be fine for clothing, but not for business travel.

The only thing that would improve this backpack would be additional compartments/pockets. Other than that this is the best backpack I have ever had!

It probably isn't any better or worse than many backpacks that most people already own and I'm not sure I would have bought it without buying the matching rollers but I'm really glad I did. Burton Treble Yell (Camo)

I bought this for my 5 year old son for camp and school. It is a good size to keep everything he needs. When it's full, he has a hard time carrying it. It is also great for a parent day trip. The only complaint is that in the picture, it looks like gray camo with gray straps in the front. When the bag arrived today, it is actually the typical green camo and the front straps are black. Although I prefer the gray, my son is thrilled with the green! If you don't mind the green, it's great. If it were for me, I would have sent it back because of the color difference.

I just received my backpack today its awesome!!! I needed a backpack to keep my stuff organized in my car and to carry to work it easily holds my cell phone, ipad, sunglasses, and hoodie!!! There is absolutely no cushioning and the case is very thin. I got it for my Sony Vaio VPCZ1 13.1" and the case is slightly big for it, especially width-wise. Carrot Ab-24021 Polkadot Print Canvas Backpack

The backpack was sturdy and made of aa good matereial, but when i got it in the mail (about a week late i might add) i was sorely dissapointed in how small it was. I needed a good backpack for school but this won't even hold a 1" binder. I think that it will hold strong for a purse like use, but this backpack for school is an awful choice. It's up to the buyer on the size that you like your bags. This was way too small.

I admit, being really scared of buying this bag because of it's size, but for a tiny-looking bag, a lot can fit in! My binders, my textbooks, phone, wallet, everything! But then again, I don't carry around a 1290 page textbook, so I'd recommend something not TOO heavy. The design is cute, adorable, and goes with a lot of my outfits ( I bought the black polka dot design :) Overall I LOVE, LOVE THIS BAG! Only thing that would have made it even better would have been side pockets to hold a water bottle, but it's only a minor thing really. So get this bag! You may be surprised because of the size once you get it in the mail, but you will NOT regret it! :D

This backpack while overall cute, is quite small the small front pocket isn't separated to the large pocket therefore items slide around in your bag. Also the interior pocket doesn't hold anything very well and once again things slide around. I still use this product just not for school.

High Sierra 2502-Cubic Inches Caldwell Daypack

I normally don't spring for anything more expensive than the very cheapest thing I can find. (I'm a "broke" college student.) But I had a similar backpack from High Sierra that lasted me 4 years, and I wanted to find that same kind of quality and durability in my new backpack. This backpack was really cute and quite similar to my previous one, so I ordered it. And I am VERY pleased. It is a large bag, has a cushioned laptop compartment, and many pockets so you can organize if you'd like. I've been using it the last couple weeks, and it's been so durable and comfortable. It sits great on me and makes even my heavier loads of books feel more comfy.

The only negative for me is the little handle on the top being a part of the straps. It's really handy for picking up the bag, but for wearing it, the handle digs into the back of my neck just a bit and kinda makes me hunch a little if I'm not thinking about it.

But overall, I would say this is an excellent purchase and an excellent backpack for a college student or any student. I am almost certain to buy another High Sierra backpack when I need another. They've won me over.

These backpacks are really compact. They however are not made of the thickest material. They are also not overly huge. They will work or a few items though.

Something in this backpack smells of uncured plastic/foam. It is very strong and did not dissipate after a few days. I'm going to have to throw this one out and start over.

I've had this item for a few days now and I am really happy with my purchase. At first reading the reviews I was a bit worried that the case might be too big but it fit perfectly. It is a bit loose by my trackpad but it doesn't bother me at all, honestly if it was tighter I'm sure my macbook wouldn't even fit in it. As for overheating I can't tell yet but if i use it for a longer time the bottom tends to feel slightly warm but every computer is like that so I don't think overheating will be an issue. I'm very happy with this product so far and I definitely recommend it! Not to mention its design is gorgeous and anyone who sees it compliments me that the case is really nice!

Decided to go with this case despite some reviews that were on the fence with whether or not it was worth it and I can tell you that it is truthfully probably worth more than the $18 I paid for it! Just like a few of the other review, the magnetic strap is kinda awkward, but as other suggested, I just tuck it under my laptop and it doesn't bother me. The only reason this product doesn't get 5 stars is because it is not a completely PERFECT fit. The part that goes around the wrist rest, on either side of the touchpad, kinda sticks up and doesn't lay flush to the laptop. Annoying at times, but after having this case on my macbook for a few weeks, I rarely notice it anymore.

Another benefit to this case that I'm not sure the other reviews mentioned is that the inside has a very soft lining, so you don't have to worry about the aluminum being scratched as with the hard plastic cases.

I've wanted a more protective and professional case for a while (no more of these cheap plastic ones) so I got this one. I didn't like the flap closure at all, but it's the best one I found that I liked. So I just stick the flap between the computer and the case and it's out of the way!
