Targus Radius Backpack, Fits Up To 15" Screens

Since I practically live off my laptop, this backpack has been a lifesaver. Like others have said, there is LIMITED space for anything other than your computer (a little compartment for a notepad or a magazine). For me, this is a plus because when given ample amounts of space, I tend to overstuff... which ends up weighing me down. So, I'm actually thrilled this bag forces me to take only what's essential. I'm sure my fellow subway commuters are equally thrilled -I'm no longer whacking them in the face with a protruding backpack.

Oh, and the included padded sleeve is fantastic. It has a handle on it, so if you really want to downsize, you can just carry that. The only downside is that the bottom of the bag rests on my lower back/upper rump -which gets a little annoying after a while. But if you happen to have a long torso or are tall, you wouldn't need to worry about this at all.

Basically, this is a great simple bag that provides a lot of protection. Perfect for walking jaunts to overcrowded coffeeshops.

If you are looking for a bag that will protect your laptop without adding a lot of bulk, this is your bag. The sleeve that comes with it is very padded and can be used on it's own since it has a handle. The bag itself is nice and streamlined. There is enough room for all your power cords and mouse in the front pocket. I also carry my iPod and digital camera in there. There is a pocket for a file or two or a magazine but not much else. This bag makes me feel very comfortable in the fact that my Macbook is well protected and keeps me mobile and light. Perfect bag.

This backpack is pretty good. I bought it because it looked thin and simple. When it arrived the backpack was too wide for me. The shoulder straps were durable but looks-wise it was poorly designed. It didn't fit me very well. I'm about 5'5" that's why it was too wide for me. When the designers designed this, I think they had it in mind for larger people.

The pockets were great, the storage area for the mp3 player was well thought out and the covers were great. The colors were mediocre and the arm strap didn't fit well. This backpack was designed to look good while not being worn, for me the way my clothes and my accessories fit me is most important, followed by how it looks visually. I was disatisfied with the way this backpack fits.

If you don't care about those factors, this backpack will work great to store your computer in and serve its function.

I bought this as a birthday present for my husband, and he *loves* it! Super comfortable and light-weight. We're still young enough (and in Japan) that the fact that it's 'cool' looking is an added bonus. We have to bring backpacks everywhere, and this one not only holds laptop plus books, pens, etc, but looks awesome while doing so.

36 inch Drop Bottom Wheeled Duffel With Backpack Straps

I work in a marine environment. Durability, resistance to environmental stresses such as direct sunlight, moisture, corrosion, and incidental physical abuse on my part are always part of my criteria when purchasing anything I might bring on a boat. When I first started buying bags I was a lot younger and didn't mind carrying around 50 pounds of gear on one shoulder but as I got older I started buying duffle bags with wheels. I used to buy Samsonite wheeled duffle bags thinking they were of higher end quality, and this is partly true. However, all the Samsonite bags I've owned so far have lost most of their functionality due to the rigid frame where the wheels are set snapping because the rods stop before they can offer any support and the wheel base has no extra support molded in.

It's time for me to purchase new bags again and I'm not made of money so I want a good value. I looked at Thule, Dakine, Samsonite and High Sierra. Thule and Dakine seem way over priced. I decided to take a chance on High Sierra this time and bought two bags of different sizes. The first thing I looked at when receiving this bag was the frame. It's a much better designed component than what I had on the last generation Samsonite bags I owned. The Rods extend all the way to the bend where the wheels are set and the curved wheel base has some reinforcement design molded in. This bag has two interesting features that caught my attention. Instead of having one shoulder strap it has back pack style straps built in to the bottom. Any time you run out of flat surface to pull you can always carry the bag with the weight evenly distributed on both shoulders. Also theres a zippable base in the top compartment, it's a good design in case you need extra space for large items that wont fit in the top compartment itself. You can just unzip the bottom and utilize both compartments as one, however the bottom material is very thin. It's made of the same sheer material as the liner that is used to cover the frame. The upper compartment is therefore heavily reliant on the support of whatever you pack in the bottom compartment if it is to last. If the thin material were to ever get cut the rip might continue to travel over time until it hit the zipper unless a patch was sewn in immediately. The consolation is the bag is still functional as one big compartment. Outer zippers are decent quality but snaps are not as heavy duty as I would like. The fabric used is not as good of quality as the Samsonites I've owned but decent enough and the design is much better considering the added features and better frame. The Samsonite equivalent is about 50 dollars more and has a 3 year limited warranty which I was told by them might not cover the base if it snaps. The High Sierra has a 5 year limited warranty and I was told by them that the bag would be covered under warranty if I were to have that problem. Without the key rollable feature being reliable better fabric doesn't mean a whole lot so I'm fairly happy with my purchase at the moment. After 6 months of use I will revise my review accordingly.

This seems a very good duffle, but be warned if you want to flight with it, most companies will charge you for oversize luggage. Continental asked me $200 to check in this duffle!

I'd like to praise the seller luggageguru, they understood my mistake and were very helpful in getting the smaller one.

It's big, roomy, durable, and portable (can carry it on your back).

One negative remark i have is that it's not watter proof (one airport apparently let the luggages out in the rain, so i got my clothes all wet).

I did extensive research online -even went to sporting goods stores that had clearance sales (Gander, Academy, etc)and this duffle bag is -by farthe best you can possibly buy for the money. I was hesitant to make this purchase precisely because of the low price, but now that I've seen it "in person", all my doubts are gone. It's big enough to take on a two-week trip and you can use it as a backpack as well as a wheeled duffel bag, which is very convenient. I am very happy with this purchase. Maybe its just me but this stuff is expensive!!! I am still giving a 5 star because they do provide you with the two large breakable pieces of foam which is a plus. The foam was easy to tear and my camera case looks wonderful because of it. I would reccomend using a razor blade to help you cut the foam though!

I am an amateur photographer and so I naturally have less equipment than a professional. Nonetheless, this bag is fantastic for allowing sturdy transportation of the equipment I have. It's also large enough that I can include other items in addition to my equipment and laptop, which is a bonus given the restrictions on luggage on airlines nowadays.

Some other useful features: it has an included sleeve for your laptop, straps for a tripod, an included padlock and lots and lots of pockets. I feel very confident placing my equipment in this bag to keep it safe. The price is a bit high, but it's a durable piece of luggage and equipment storage that will last a long time.

It is perfect for holding all of my camera and laptop equipment. I like the mesh that zips closed to hold the camera equipment in place in case the main area is unzipped while not laying down

I've had countless consumer-level camera bags, an enthusiast-level bag, a hard-shelled padded case, and now this Vanguard professional travel bag. This is definitely the best of the lot; very high quality with a thoughtful design.

I have no trouble getting two SLR bodies, 5 lenses, and a flash unit in it. Could get another lens in there, or if not carrying a second body, a larger telephoto or two more lenses.

PROS:

* High quality all around that should stand up to many years of use.

* Sturdy extendable handle

* Widely positioned, quality wheels

* Lots of space, configurable compartments

* It looks like a soft bag, but offers a lot of protection, The sides are over an inch thick, sturdy inside, with nicely padded surfaces.

* Two external straps for attaching a tripod (there's also a hidden pouch in the front that when unzipped and pulled out makes a great base for holding the tripod upright and secure.)

* Comfortable, padded handles on three sides, providing many convenient ways to carry the bag.

* Nicely padded lap-top pouch

* Come with a combination lock and an accessory pouch

* Pockets for memory cards or accessories

* Claims to be waterproof (but I'd consider it water resistant)

* Great for air travel

CONS:

* As nice as the bag is, it's hard to justify the price tag for a typical hobbyist.

* I would have liked a few more pockets, either on the outside, or more compartmentalization in the front storage pouch. Other than the memory card pockets, there's really only one other miscellaneous pouch, so extra accessories like cables, chargers, filters, tend to just get thrown in together. A little more organization for those items would have been nice, and could have been accommodated.

Great bag. I'm sure it will become my new all-purpose travel bag, likely replacing my bulky hard-shell case for good. If you feel spending a little extravagantly on a bag to protect your expensive photo gear is a good investment, I would definitely recommend this bag... it's almost as strong as a hard shell, waaay stronger than a typical hobbyist bag, and a lot more stylish and easy to transport.

The bag is very well made, with lots of sections. The sections are held by strong Velcro joints, so you can change the size and number of the sections as you need. All sections' inner "walls" are located inside a thick padded perimeter frame that fits inside the bag snugly. You can pull it out completely with all the inner sections and use the bag's shell.

The front flip is also padded well and has an inside pocket for a laptop; my 15" HP EliteBook fits just fine! When you unzip the front flip, it will not fall to the floor, as it would in most bags: two inner straps hold it on both sides, so nothing will fall out unless you unfasten the strap locks.

It would have been GREAT if this product worked.. Unfortunately, I was sent a defective unit. I charged the battery pack to full via ac/usb cable, the LED1 light turned from red to green and still, it does NOT charge anything when flipped to 5.5v.. I tried charging my Ipod, cellphone, camera, tablet, nothing.... The good news? the LED2 flashlight works which is built into the battery unit.... Another thing which is VERY weird, when I plugged in my Droid Razr Maxx cellphone into the charging battery unit, my cell phone started freaking out and dialing numbers on its own like it was possessed. Very weird..

After modifications, this is a good solar backpack. Replace the battery and all attachments.:-). 3 stars.

update, the backpack is still holding up well but it chafes the back of my neck a little and one or two of the zippers has fallen off.

I've had the bag for 7 months now, and I use it every day. Yes, it is pricey, but it is so worth it! I love that I can zip and unzip the changing pad with one hand, while I hold the baby in the other. I can fit 6 bottles in it at a time (just in case) and still carry everything else we could need. The back-pack design is great. I put it on, grab the baby in one arm and my purse over the other shoulder effortlessly. This high-contrast color combination along with the shiny buckles and straps keep my son occupied when we go out to a restaurant more than any other toy. And the plastic-y surface is great to keep clean. Mine still looks brand new and like I said, I use it every day to bring with him to daycare.

What I like: I like the pockets inside. I like the outside fold out changing pad with pockets for diapers. It keeps that part so organized. I like the side pockets for my son's cups.

What I don't like: It's deep so I have trouble finding things. It's heavy, even with not a lot in it if I strap it to the stroller and take my son out of the stroller the stroller flips back. My first diaper bag (Skip Hop) didn't do that even when it was full. After having it just a week the color in the canvas started bleeding together on the back side of the bag where it rubs against my body. My first bag came with stroller straps, petunia Pickle Bottom sells them separate for $20!!! The Velcro top flap, hate it! The price.

I've only owned it 6 months and I'm in the market for a new diaper bag. After spending so much money on my Petunia Pickle Bottom Bag it is a little frustrating to now be looking to spend the money all over again. I'm tempted to write to Petunia Pickle Bottom with my unhappiness. Maybe I will be able to sell it on E-Bay, besides the bleeding of the color on the back it has held up real well, I guess that is another like.

All in all I would NOT buy it again and I do NOT like it.

This is a beautiful bag. Beautifully made and lightweight. My only complaint is it will not hold a ring binder. So if all you want to carry is your laptop and a few accessories, it's brill, but if you want to take any work home with you that's in paper form, you'll find it's not very accommodating.

This is a GREAT looking bag, HOWEVER, the reason why it drives me NUTS is that the bottom part is slanted. It curves upward so if you want it to sit up against a chair, desk, etc...it falls over. It has to lay flat on it's side in order to actually dig through it to get out what you want...so on a plane or in the airport, you cant just unzip it and reach down into it...you have to support it. I hope that makes sense. Annoying. But great quality.

My little guy is a big Elmo fan.

He is using this backpack for his school (P-K), it is perfect for P-K, K or first graders. I don't think it could handle to be carrying a lot of books or stuff every single day.

But it works great for a little kid. What I don't like it is the lunch box, it only have one zipper, I prefer a double zipper lunch box it could make my life easier.

Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack Diaper Bag (Classic Copenhagen)

I splurged on this diaper bag and have been very pleased with the purchase. I only have one negative, the inside of the bag seems quite small so you really have to be a good "packer". I am constantly getting comments on the bag and the fold out diaper pad is wonderful.

It took me a while to find a diaper bag that I could use and love and I have to say I found it. The material of this bag can just be wiped off, it has plenty of pockets to help you stay organized, and having a chicco travel system I love having the back pack option since I don't have access to the basket while the carseat is in. I was worried that the diaper bag was deep and not that wide on the inside but it has worked out fine it helps me from over packing. :)

I absolutely LOVE this purse! It's pretty and classy and big enough to hold basically my entire life. I tend to run purses into the ground, but so far this one doesn't even have so much as a scratch. LOVE IT.

I was very pleased with the quality and look of the leather tote when I received it. What I did not know when I purchased it was that they absolutely would not take the tote back after 30 days. The slip said they would send it back to you if you tried to send it to them. This would not have been a problem if it had been for me, but I purchased it in November as a Christmas gift. It would have been impossible to give the recipient the option of returning it or exchanging it. In addition, if you return it within a 30 day period they still charge you a restocking fee for sending it back. Internet purchases are tricky because you don't see the product in person, so a very restricted return policy makes it very unlikely for me to purchase from this company again.

I was looking to replace my old CPak rolling laptop backpack which had lasted so long I couldn't even find the same model on eBay anymore. Looked at a bunch with reviews and finally chose this one for a few reasons:

1 Larger wheels. I use the bag when commuting downtown or traveling and I never really carry it like a backpack. The larger 3-inch wheels provide a super-smooth ride and I barely feel I'm pulling it. Fantastic! Had I known it would make such a difference, I would have replaced my old bag long ago.

2 Dedicated section/sleeve inside for large laptops. I have a MacBookPro and the pocket in the back is right inside the opening for easy access.

3 Lots of pockets. Traveling with the laptop, I also have to carry around a fair amount of extra hardware and this has plenty of pockets to keep all that stuff organized and still out of the way so I can put the big stuff in the main compartment.

I was only dubious of the single pole handle as it didn't look as sturdy as the 2-pole models. So far though, I've noticed no difference. All in all, a super buy!

This is the best rolling backpack / overnight bag I've ever owned. It looks like a normal small suitcase until you unzip the back pocket and take out the well made straps. Very clever design with a padded laptop area and oodles of space. It also is more squared on the top so I can toss my purse on top and roll through the airport without it slipping off. Then when I pick up my large suitcase, I can toss it on my back so I don't have to roll 2 bags. I travel almost every week and it's held up remarkably well. Highly recommend!

Kelty Women's Redtail 26 Daypack

I really wanted to love this backpack. It's made of what appear to be nice, sturdy materials. The fabric doesn't feel cheap at all, and is a good thickness. The padded straps are super soft and cushiony. The color scheme is really nice, the carabiner loops are well placed, and I love how there are handles at the top and bottom to make it easier to grab the bag. The pockets on the inside of the bag are also well thought out. I have a bag from another similar manufacturer, and their bags are strangely narrow and deep. Kelty's has good dimensions, and isn't too big or small for a day pack. The sternum strap is a little higher than men's bags (much more comfortable if you're on the busty side), and it has a removable waist belt. And to top it off, the bag is light weight, at just under 2 lb. (They do not claim that this has a laptop sleeve. It's a hydration sleeve good for keeping a bladder in there when you're hiking. There's no padding at all, so your laptop will not be protected.)

I really wanted to keep this bag, but I had to return it because for some reason, the back panel of the bag would not lie flat against my back. It's made of what appears to be a plastic panel. Kelty has padded portions along it to create an "airflow" along your back which I'm sure is useful while hiking, but the core of the back panel is a plate of plastic. I put in my normal day's carrying load--my netbook (yes, I still have one of those), two small books, a notebook, and a few papers along with pens, pencils, and phone. There was plenty of room in the back to put in much more. The weird thing was that the back panel actually concavely warped, and and pulled the bag away from my back. It was completely bizarre considering how well made the rest of the bag is. I lightened the load, but still the same problem. When the bag was empty, it lay flush against my back.

I cannot understand how the rest of the bag is so well made, but the back panel could be so poorly constructed.

I really wanted to keep this, but I sent it back. I can't have my bag pulling away from my back. Had the back panel been functional, I'd have kept it and given this bag 5 stars.

In my rating, I added an extra star because of the rest of the rest of the bag's construction.

I received this as a gift from my husband. He said I needed another "pack" because I've been using our Redwing 3100 for a few years and it always looked like I was ready to leave on a multi day trip. Although for a guy the 3100 may seem like a decent size, it was always too bulky and overwhelming for day to day stuff with the kids (traveling, pool, beach etc..) We are headed on a parent's only trip and he got this for me as a gift since we will both need separate packs for our trip. It is just the right size for my frame. Where I had extra room before, I'm now packing it right and it feels great for "running" around. Kids towels, extra clothes, wallet, cell phone and iPad fit great without the extra bulk. It's more the size of what I would think as a college backpack, but works great for what I need and do. I'm looking forward to our trip since it will carry what I need and not be overpacked, but not under packed either. Overall, it's Kelty construction, same material, but without the added features of some of the larger packs (no optical case or the long side pockets like on the 3100). It's definitely a day pack since I couldn't imagine going overnight with this, but for traveling or a day trip, it more than adequate and comfortable too! I recommend it if you are looking for the above qualities. If you wanted something more substantial and you're a woman, I would recommend the Kelty Redwing Womens Pack which has the same features as our Redwing, but the fit of the Redtail.

I am very happy with the size and fit of this backpack. It has a lot of different pockets for your things to stay organized. It is lightweight and fits comfortably on your back and shoulders.

Agree with the reviewer who returned it because of the concave back. I thought the charcoal colour was very nice, the construction sturdy, enough but not too many functional straps and buckles. However, the way it bends away from your back (even with hard objects like a laptop and books inside the back sleeve) doesn't make it good for carrying heavy loads. I know a couple of brands do this sort of anti-sweat construction, but it's not for me.

Everest Luggage Stylish Backpack

Dont confuse this bag with a sturdy mountain backpack...it aint. It IS however a good lightweight bag for an emergency 72 hour bag.

I bought this for Disneyland and it was perfect. I didn't want to pay much and I was really happy with the quality for price on this bag. I'd buy it again!

This backpack is too small to fit anything more than one textbook and my water bottle (which has to go in the bag, because there is no compartment for it). It could fit more, but the zippers are very bad, and it will not close if they are not perfectly aligned and there is a lot of space for them to close. The front pocket is almost impossible to open and close. I would not buy again.

Excellent quality for the price. I bought two of these to use as "possible" bags fill them with a spare change of clothes, flashlight, multi tool, duct tape, first aid kit, cordage, rain kit, etc. and toss them in the trunk of a car.

I'd recommend spending a little more money on a more durable bag for every day carry.

It is slightly smaller than the average school backpack.
