I just finished packing this Overton backpack for a 10-day vacation in Cancun. It now contains 1 pr. Teva Omnium sandals, 5 pairs cotton socks, 5 pairs briefs, 3 cotton T-shirts, 1 short sleeve cotton shirt, 3 Hawaiian nylon shirts, 1 pr cotton cargo shorts, 2 pairs nylon long pants, 2 nylon swimming trunks,1 bucket hat and a 9 x 12 folder full of papers containing information on Cancun. I rolled up all the cloth items tightly. In the extra pockets I added 1 pr sunglasses, 1 belt, 1 calculator and a handbook on Cancun and Cozumel. I still have extra room in the pockets for my MP3 player, cell phone and my Kindle Fire. When I board the plane I will be wearing a light long sleeve shirt, a nylon jacket, a pair of lightweight long cotton pants, and casual shoes plus socks and briefs. As a carry-on personal item I will have a fanny pack which holds my 1 quart TSA bag with liquids, and various toiletries, etc. The bag seems quite substantial and I discovered no rips nor tears while loading. I hope that this list will give travelers an idea of what the bag can hold.Read Best Reviews of ful Unisex Adult Overton Backpack Here
I absolutely loved this back pack..that was until the front straps came out out of the seam. I carried my yoga mat on the back..it was absolutely perfect. I had it for less than a month before the strap broke. I was disappointed because I have not found anything similar yet.Want ful Unisex Adult Overton Backpack Discount?
So, I'm one of those "take your tablet, kindle, computer, charging cables, camera, medicines, etc with you" kind of guys, I was using a small tactical duffel but that started to wear out and I needed something for travel. After looking around I decided I liked the look of the Ful Overton, mine is black grey and blue. Wow!Pros:
-breathable, less of the back sweat, yeah you know what I mean.
-tons of room and plenty of pockets, it hold a lot and you can keep it organized.
-stout construction.
-Ful is freaking awesome to deal with. My bag was missing the cell phone holder(missing when I bought it), no problem they just asked for my address and gave me a new one. I follow them on FB, They are GIVING THE BAGS AWAY as a back to school promo, so now I have 2 Overtons.
-handy pockets where you need them, between the mp3 pocket, the small assorted pockets, and the cell phone case, everything you need is always right at hand.
-padded well, no sharp jabs in the kidneys from the stuff you keep in the bag.
it is comfortable to carry, I've run through DFA(Dallas airport) with this thing stuffed to the seams trying to catch a connecting flight. it's very comfortable to take with you. the small straps on the front straps are great for clipping stuff to,cell phone cases, mp3 players, pocket knife, carabiner, keys.
Con:
-Doesn't cost as much as some alternatives, I know some of you lie to spend that extra money so people know you have excess disposable income...
-did not come with a hitch hikers guide to the galaxy.
-I haven't developed super powers, although it's spacious enough that I've started bringing work out clothes to work and those may be forthcoming.
so basically this is an inexpensive, high quality back pack that looks good. So if you set your expectations right this will blow you away.
17.3" Laptop Sleeve with Extra Side Pocket , Soft Carrying Handle & Removable Shoulder Strap / Note
Thank you very much. I'll be backI just needed a sleeve for my 17.5" HP. I don't carry it much but when I do it's very uncomfortable. This one has a nice strap and I don't know about others but mine holds pretty good. It doesn't sit on the lap top as tight as I wanted it but I still find it usable. AS I said, I don't take my 17.5" around much so may be I haven't used it too much to know the negatives...I packaged up my brand new laptop in my brand new sleeve. I put my power cord in the extra side pocket and slipped the strap over my shoulder. I walked from my kitchen to the front door where the strap broke and my brand new laptop went crashing to the cement.
Pretty bag but WORTHLESS!!!
Midnight White Sparse Floral 15.4-Inch Laptop Notebook Padded Compartment Shoulder Messenger Bag
Case Logic 17" Laptop Messenger Bag
My 17.3" laptop fits in the laptop compartment with about a finger's width leftover. The laptop compartment is well padded on both sides.
In the flip part of the messenger bag is 2 separate compartments, which easily fits my drawing tablet. It'll probably fit files and documents easily, too. There's a zipper compartment in the front as well which has a few pockets and pen holders, and other little things. The zip pocket on the outside of the bag isn't as big as I thought, but I think it's mostly decoration. It'll fit a cellphone and a few other small electronics for easy access.
Overall the laptop bag is great. The strap is comfortable. It's not bulky or awkward. As another reviewer said, the clips for the strap are made of a mix between plastic and metal which could be built better. But unless you're known to destroy purses or backpacks, then it shouldn't be a problem.
My only complaint is that the inside of the bag isn't that pretty baby blue as advertised. It's more of an aqua green. It's not a bad color, but that was part of what sold me on this bag was the blue. I like the look of this bag, and use it as my new work bag, taking my laptop to/fro and my daily papers. There isn't a lot of space in the bag, though -I mean, it's rather narrow from front to back, so I have difficulty fitting much more than a couple thin books and my laptop in it. For those who were wondering, considering it's flap front, it is NOT a messenger bag, but rather a fairly stylish, slim, yough'ish looking laptop bag.
Pros:
* It fits all my 3 laptops (13.3", 15", 17") with ease (separately), and with reasonable padding.
* It's fairly stylish -more on the younger person style than and older more staid person's.
* Easy access to zippered pockets, including the one on the front which is surprisingly well placed
Cons:
* Too thin from front to back -it's not very forgiving, and doesn't fit larger objects with any reasonable width.
* The front flap, after a couple weeks of normal wear, is starting to butterfly out, as if the plastic / cardboard lining is out of whack
* While stylish, it isn't really "professional" looking enough to use it if you're going to take your laptop with you on a business trip where you'll be running into clients (in my opinion).
* I fear the clap which buckles the front flap to the body of the bag will eventually stretch out the nylon belt it grasps on to.
* It's wide -I'm 6'1" and a pretty big guy, and this definitely goes fully across my back. It might be too big for some people's preference. IT took a little getting used to in my case.
On the whole, a good bag, but given the option again, I think I would choose something else.

I finally got a chance to test out this laptop bag when I traveled last weekend, and I thoroughly liked it. I have a 17-inch laptop that's plenty heavy, plus I like to take the cords (with their big power brick) and the mouse, so the fact that the bag added little extra weight was a plus. I was able to pack the computer and all its gear, plus two stacks of CDs, a fat paperback, and a magazine, with room to spare. I've always liked Caselogic products, from way back when I'd buy them for the cassettes in my car, and this bag was no exception. It can't be beat for the price.Read Best Reviews of Case Logic 17" Laptop Messenger Bag Here
I have a 17.3 laptop and the bag is able accommodate the size of my laptop, the power cord,a mouse and my sketchbook and a folder with little room to spare. The bag is definitely meant for those who travel light. I love the contemporary style of the bag. The minimalist aesthetic was what i was looking for in a bag. However, the durability of bag is questionable. I have had the bag for a month and the nylon strap that messenger flap clips on to is already beginning to tear away from the bag and the zipper for the speed pocket is not functioning properly. I will be definitely be taken advantage of the warranty once I figure out how to.Want Case Logic 17" Laptop Messenger Bag Discount?
I LOVE MESSENGER BAGS!....Post-Katrina I seem to have collected them, I generally break `em at the strap and start over losing lovely bags... plus-side the Caselogic messenger bag has a 25 Yr. Limited warranty, thankfully. It has top-load access for laptop and loads of zippered pockets and additional storage with practical organizational details. It fits all 17" easily and w/padding.
The overall principle here being you can carry everything you need in one easily to find it unit. If Considering travel by plane or simply using the unit for work it is pretty cool. Plenty of additional storage External Speed Pocket for securing phones or timey-wimey accessories, billfolds maybe keys all for easy access. Internal Power Pocket holds cords and power-bricks or other tech accessories. Inside accessory pockets to organize portablables (mini-mouse, MP3 and pens). Document organizer for folders and/or mags.
It Sports a luggage strap for attaching messenger to rolling luggage. This model's External dimensions are 17.75" x 13.75" x 3.25". I do Love the nylon-microfiber make of the bag but, on the downside, the front-flap is a weaklink, overall the case may not be big enough for much more than your 17" laptop & its accessories, if you are using this bag for a smaller computer it is loads more convenient. Overall, sturdy and stylish, but a but unwieldy.

Besides all the compartments, there are lots of smaller pockets. The very first compartment can hold all your knickknacks. It has pen/pencil holders, zippered pockets, non-zippered pockets, "velcroed" pockets...you get the idea.
The second compartment has a mini pocket up top designed for an mp3 player. Above that pocket is even a port to push a headphone jack so you can listen to your tunes as you walk.
There is a tiny soft-lined pocket at the very top that I normally use to store things like my camera, phone and mp3 player i.e. things I don't want scratched. That's one of the things I like most about the bag.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th compartments are great for books with lots of room. However the fourth compartment held a surprise laptop pocket complete with a strap and buckle. I didn't have a laptop at the time I bought this, but now that I own one, I'm really happy it's there.
The straps are nice and wide also, making it easier to carry around on your back.
The ONLY thing I do not like about this backpack is that "Vapel mesh" that they added to the back. That thing has caused trauma to my polos and t-shirts you would not believe. Every polo and T-shirt I wear with this has caused the fabric to twill BADLY. I've never had clothes damaged by a backpack like this has. And for this reason, and this reason alone, I wish I never bought this bag. No one else has mentioned this problem, so it may well be only me.I've had numerous backpacks over the years, and this one is the best one I've ever owned. Yes, it's large. Yes, there are tons of pockets and organization. The previous reviews have listed them in detail.... what I'd like to emphasize is the extreme comfort! A couple of days ago, I ran abt a quarter of a mile in the rain with this bag, a 13" macbook (b/c there are adjustable straps on the inside of the compartment to make the bag fit the laptop instead of the other way around! Serious SCORE!), a notebook/binder, 2 super heavy college text books and various small items. Not only was I able to run, I was able to do so comfortably! It cinches down easily. The padding on the back ROCKS! The lumbar portion makes it fit easily to the contour of your back, and the suspension straps give when they need to without pulling on your shoulders and neck. The only thing I didn't love is the waist strap, but it tucks away easily behind the lumbar padding; honestly, I don't even remember it's there anymore. This bag has taken a beating over the past year, and it still looks beautiful! I'd like another colour, but I can't really justify the expense b/c this one is going to last a loooooooong time.
A seriously satisfied customer who is finally hooked on a backpack and may never feel the need to hunt for another,
**Update** After another year of constant use, the bag still looks great! No visible signs of wear or tear either. It's holding up much better than other expensive packs I've tried.

I purchased this backpack for extensive general everyday and weekend use (aka my "man purse"). I carry my gym clothes and other miscellaneous gear to and from work every day which involves daily repetitive usage of the zippers and pockets. I also use it for travelling and weekend trips, sometimes with large (heavy) loads and can be VERY tough on a backpack in general. In the past I owned a North Face (Recon) pack which at almost 6 years old was dated in design though not falling apart. This pack seems on par with the quality of the North Face pack, as far as materials go and at less than half the price. The design is PERFECT for travelling (with three *separate* large compartments, as well as lots of cool little stash spots). Perfect, nay -IDEALfor organization on a 3-day+ trip. The feel of the pack is solid, and very well made. The zippers, a crucial fail point on cheap packs, are thick-toothed and burly! The laptop pouch is great, and easy to access in line at aiport security via it's own special zipper right above the straps. It is also WELL padded, including the bottom (where it rightly has the thickest padding) The carrying handle on top is a dream padded and comfortable. I often carry my pack using that handle, so it's nice to see it becoming standard on many packs these days.
I initially wondered why the water bottle pouches (2) did not have cinch straps at the top like North Face does but in actual usage I actually prefer them like this. I tend to use the side pockets for quick-access storage, and these flush-mount pouches are superior to the loose, floppy North Face design. They are deep as well, so they hold tall bottles WAY better, as well as a bunch of random stuff when I want to quickly dump things somewhere when on the go.
The very top small storage pouch is awesome and PERFECTLY designed when I go to lunch I can dip right in for my wallet and keys without having to dig around or even move the bag at all brilliant. Perfect for "ready access" items. The front "organizer" pouch has a killer little Velcro "phone pocket" in it (this is better for storing smallish items like lip balm, coins and extra batteries rather than a phone) the rest of the organizer area is pretty "meh" like most organizers in backpacks. Things tend to just get thrown into that front pocket. I find the side (water bottle) pouches better to drop a phone into (it's easier to hear it ring too).
The shoulder straps are the best I have ever used on a daypack. The High Sierra "integrated suspension system" WORKS (I was very doubtful). This thing feels like a dream on the back. Also, a really cool feature is that the bottom straps have stopper clips on them to prevent that annoying "run through" where a strap comes out of the fastener and hangs free. How is this the first pack I have ever seen this on?? These stopper clips also have super handy "pullin' holes" where you can tighten them with one finger, another incredibly innovative design that took me by surprise.
High Sierra has hit a home run with this pack as far as I am concerned, and obviously I am very anal about my backpack performance and specs (it literally goes EVERYWHERE I go, in all conditions, with all types of loads). I appreciated the very detailed reviews of various packs when I started looking for a new one, so I hope others of like mind find this of interest!
Side note: Several reviewers expressed concern over "that extra fabric covering the two main zippers". These are rain flaps which help prevent water intrusion through the zipper. I guess only `backpack idiot savants' like me know that. Yes they can get in the way sometimes, but you'll be very glad it's there during a downpour they make a big difference.
I paid 39.00 (with free Prime shipping 2-day delivery black/black model) and boy does this seem like one hell of a deal!
UPDATE: I have discovered that the laptop pouch also doubles as an amazing beer cooler. I can easily fit 3 bottles (more possibly) in there, along with my gel icepack. It's essentially *AS GOOD* as any softsided cooler, and found it kept my drinks cold and safe all night. Sweet!!
Also, I have to re-state this, the little "stash pouch" (on top) for ready-access stuff like keys and wallet, is perhaps the best single innovation I have ever seen on a pack. NO MORE digging around in other pockets for my keys & such! At concerts, it has proven to be a godsend when I am slightly inebriated. Not to mention at work when I need to grab my keys and run, I don't even need to move my pack.
***UPDATE TEN MONTHS LATER***
The pack still looks brand new! It has been to two multi-day camping music festivals, a week in New Orleans on foot, several day hikes, 7 concerts, MANY weekend trips, MANY beach trips, and DAILY use back and forth to my office (where it is often used to courier my Amazon purchases home). If there is a known punishment that humans can inflict upon a helpless backpack, verily I have delivered it unto this High Sierra!
Is the fabric made of a futuristic, impenetrable teflon-adamantium fibre? Are the zippers forged from molten eagle talons? Was the design itself created by a 13-year-old boy with Asperger's living in the Ukraine and enhanced with gamma rays? I DON'T KNOW!!
But it is one hell of a pack!

This is the 2nd High Sierra back pack that was purchased in our home in 4 months. Upon a recommendation from his younger sister my older child, an 11th grade boy bought the exact same bag. He is not real particular about the color, the number of pockets or the style. The most important thing we looked for was durability and the large space for many books and binders.Everything works with this bag. I picked 4 other bags at retail stores, some more expensive, some less and one brand name that he didn't want to wear but he wasn't happy with any of those choices.
This is a perfect bag.I was a bit apprehensive when I selected the color(charcoal blue) since it didnt give the bag a fresh, new brand look. I got my bag withing a week and when I saw it, it was not at all disappointing. Overall, I like the bag very much. Too comfortable to carry al sorts of things that u need. My only concern(and a trivial one) is that my laptop has to be pushed in it with a little force. It would have been better if the laptop compartment would be a bit larger. But overall..the bag is too good. An indeed very good product to have!!
Yens® Fantasybag Urban sport sling pack-Royal Blue,SB-6826
Another good aspect of this bag is that it has five different pockets in total. There's the two "big" ones in the front along with two small ones to hold your mp3 player and pencils. Finally there's the tiny one which is on the strap. Having these multiple pockets makes it easy to organize stuff.
For those worried about how the one strap thing works, you basically just sling it over your shoulder. The strap is actually detachable so you can attach it to the other side and sling it over whatever shoulder you're most comfortable with.
The trade-off for all this is that you really can't put too many things in there. All the different pockets are pretty small. I find that the pocket located on the strap is perfect for things like your keys and maybe a chapstick-it's the easiest to access since it's in the front-but that's all it can really fit. I use this for school so I put a stapler and pencils and erasers on the two smaller pockets in the front. In the two larger bags, I put my books/notebooks and my calculator/kindle. The water bottle holder can hold a typical 500ml plastic bottle or a thin stainless steel bottle. It'll be tough to get a fatter 1L water bottle in there. It's a tight squeeze but even after all this it still manages to retain that sexy slim profile.
If you're going to use this as a gym bag, it'll work perfectly because it can hold a towel and a change of clothes with relative ease. However, if you're going to use this for school, it might be a bit hard if you want to fit more than two medium sized textbooks in there. Quality wise it seems to be holding up strong after two months of heavy use.
I'm giving this product 4 stars because it's good quality, looks really slim, but suffers from a lack of space. When I bought this, it was at it's original price of around $18.00.
=UPDATE== 4/30/13
So it's been a little more than half a year of regular daily use with this bag (I've been using it as my main backpack), and it's still working perfectly. It's a bit dirtier now, but zippers are still functioning perfectly, the straps are fine, and nothing's broken, so +1 to the quality!

You may think I was carrying bricks and overloaded the bag for it to fall apart on its first trip, but I wasn't. I was just carrying clothes. This is a big bag that is supposedly designed to carry a lot, but it had better be pillows, styrofoam or air if you want to get to your destination with it in one piece. This may be a "Mossad style" bag, but I am absolutely sure that it has nothing in common with any military or tactical bag in existence other than it looks similar.
Spend a little extra money and get a bag that will serve you much better than this cheap, cheap knock-off.defiantly bigger than i thought but i didn't mind. it is awesome, very study and durable. fits my entire wardrobe.

This backpack is too small to fit anything more than one textbook and my water bottle (which has to go in the bag, because there is no compartment for it). It could fit more, but the zippers are very bad, and it will not close if they are not perfectly aligned and there is a lot of space for them to close. The front pocket is almost impossible to open and close. I would not buy again.Want Everest Luggage Stylish Backpack Discount?
Excellent quality for the price. I bought two of these to use as "possible" bags fill them with a spare change of clothes, flashlight, multi tool, duct tape, first aid kit, cordage, rain kit, etc. and toss them in the trunk of a car.I'd recommend spending a little more money on a more durable bag for every day carry.
It is slightly smaller than the average school backpack.
