Case Logic 17" Laptop Messenger Bag

I bought this for my new 17.3" laptop. I read a lot of reviews trying to find a bag that would actually fit my new computer, and I was running out of luck. When I found this one I decided I liked the style of it so much I'd take the risk, and it was so worth it.

My 17.3" laptop fits in the laptop compartment with about a finger's width leftover. The laptop compartment is well padded on both sides.

In the flip part of the messenger bag is 2 separate compartments, which easily fits my drawing tablet. It'll probably fit files and documents easily, too. There's a zipper compartment in the front as well which has a few pockets and pen holders, and other little things. The zip pocket on the outside of the bag isn't as big as I thought, but I think it's mostly decoration. It'll fit a cellphone and a few other small electronics for easy access.

Overall the laptop bag is great. The strap is comfortable. It's not bulky or awkward. As another reviewer said, the clips for the strap are made of a mix between plastic and metal which could be built better. But unless you're known to destroy purses or backpacks, then it shouldn't be a problem.

My only complaint is that the inside of the bag isn't that pretty baby blue as advertised. It's more of an aqua green. It's not a bad color, but that was part of what sold me on this bag was the blue.

I like the look of this bag, and use it as my new work bag, taking my laptop to/fro and my daily papers. There isn't a lot of space in the bag, though -I mean, it's rather narrow from front to back, so I have difficulty fitting much more than a couple thin books and my laptop in it. For those who were wondering, considering it's flap front, it is NOT a messenger bag, but rather a fairly stylish, slim, yough'ish looking laptop bag.

Pros:

* It fits all my 3 laptops (13.3", 15", 17") with ease (separately), and with reasonable padding.

* It's fairly stylish -more on the younger person style than and older more staid person's.

* Easy access to zippered pockets, including the one on the front which is surprisingly well placed

Cons:

* Too thin from front to back -it's not very forgiving, and doesn't fit larger objects with any reasonable width.

* The front flap, after a couple weeks of normal wear, is starting to butterfly out, as if the plastic / cardboard lining is out of whack

* While stylish, it isn't really "professional" looking enough to use it if you're going to take your laptop with you on a business trip where you'll be running into clients (in my opinion).

* I fear the clap which buckles the front flap to the body of the bag will eventually stretch out the nylon belt it grasps on to.

* It's wide -I'm 6'1" and a pretty big guy, and this definitely goes fully across my back. It might be too big for some people's preference. IT took a little getting used to in my case.

On the whole, a good bag, but given the option again, I think I would choose something else.

I finally got a chance to test out this laptop bag when I traveled last weekend, and I thoroughly liked it. I have a 17-inch laptop that's plenty heavy, plus I like to take the cords (with their big power brick) and the mouse, so the fact that the bag added little extra weight was a plus. I was able to pack the computer and all its gear, plus two stacks of CDs, a fat paperback, and a magazine, with room to spare. I've always liked Caselogic products, from way back when I'd buy them for the cassettes in my car, and this bag was no exception. It can't be beat for the price.

I have a 17.3 laptop and the bag is able accommodate the size of my laptop,the power cord,a mouse and my sketchbook and a folder with little room to spare. The bag is definitely meant for those who travel light. I love the contemporary style of the bag. The minimalist aesthetic was what i was looking for in a bag.However, the durability of bag is questionable. I have had the bag for a month and the nylon strap that messenger flap clips on to is already beginning to tear away from the bag and the zipper for the speed pocket is not functioning properly. I will be definitely be taken advantage of the warranty once I figure out how to.

I do Love the nylon-microfiber make of the bag but, on the downside, the front-flap is a weaklink, overall the case may not be big enough for much more than your 17" laptop & its accessories, if you are using this bag for a smaller computer it is loads more convenient. Overall, sturdy and stylish, but a but unwieldy.

The zipper on the back pack is broken already. My son is in kindergarten and he carries one small notebook to school in it. I noticed it had a tear in it the other day and now the zipper is just gone. He has only used it about 4 or 5 times.

I have had this back for five months and the I had to get the one of the shoulder straps done because the seam was giving away. The inside lining giving away and this one cannot be sewed back since it would need to re sew all the inside of the backpack.

I carry a D90, a Nikkor 35mm, a Tamron 17-50mm, a Tamron 70-300 and a SB700 speedlight I thought this bag would be enough for this but it seems that it isn't.

This bag is really nice. I love how versatile this bag is! You can either have a backpack or sling on either your left or right side. It holds my canon 60d with battery grip, 430 ex flash, 70-300 lens and I still have room for about two more lens. The top compartment is awesome, holding all your other items. The rain jacket is very cool too! The only thing I don't really like about the bag is the laptop holder; it's nice, but the compartment is kind of small and with all my equipment plus the laptop it gets very heavy. But I would recommend this bag to anyone who is just starting out in photography and doesn't have that much money for a nicer bag.

The backpack holds multiple lens and other accessories. When we flew from the mainland to Hawaii it also held the laptop. It is easy to slip off one of the backpack straps, sling it across your body and have easy access to lenses while hiking. I could not give this product 5 stars because on a recent hike, in 80+ temps the backpack caused discoloration to my husband's T-shirt.

Bag was in overall good condition. A handle was missing but luckily I work somewhere that the ladies here (fantastic at sewing) were able to make and attach a handle with no problem. Otherwise, I love the feature the bag has room for a trolly to be used, the tripod clips and foot holders, access from both right and left sides of the bag, etc. I'm very pleased with the product. Wouldn't hesitate to order another one maybe for my mom.

I purchaseed this product for my daughter to use to college. She tells me that after a month of use, with only 3 textbooks it became heavy and the straps did not give her the comfort and support she needed. Now its just sitting in her closet. I guess it wasn't originally made for school books.

Good durable product, but pockets do not fasten securely (if at all). Not recommended for carrying any small items in as they will surely fall out.

I love love love this bag. My MBP 13" fits very nicely, and it has two other large pockets, one outside the bag in the back, and one directly in front of the slot where the macbook goes. I've seen many people complaining about how their phone doesn't fit-I have an iphone 4 and without the case it fits perfectly. With my otterbox commuter case, you have to pull the top lip up a bit to zipper the pocket and its snug, but it zips nonetheless.

I like the extra padding for the laptop. It rests comfortably on my shoulder and is a good length. It can be a little hard to undo the button on the front, so I am glad you don't have to undo it to get your laptop out.

AmeriBag Healthy Back Bag Micro-Fiber Small

I purchased my Microfiber Healthy Back Bag to use while my nylon one was being repaired under warranty (the key clip broke). Although the nylon one has been returned to me, I haven't bothered to switch back to it. The microfiber bag is lighter weight and seems to be a little tougher more difficult to scar on the exterior. I think it's worth the extra cost to get the microfiber bag based on weight and durability.

This is the 2nd one of these that I've owned. They're very durable & sturdy! The first one I had, I used for over 6 years every day. OK so I'm not the type who changes bags w/ every outfit. Only reason I bought a new one is because I machine washed the 1st one a couple of times & it was (finally) starting to look a little faded. It's such a practical shape & size w/o being bulky or distracting. The way it hangs & expands is deceptively accommodating. I've used it on travel & stuffed lots of snacks in it for the movies & probably fit as much in it as someone else might put into a small backpack. I like the microfiber version because it's lighter than what I assume the leather would be and I think the fabric ones might attract & show a little more dirt. You can view all the different styles on the Ameribag.com website. I would've bought the special edition w/ the black-on-black embroidered "I Love my Life" on it but it was quite a bit more ($75). One thing I noticed w/ this new bag is that it has a slightly different strap buckle. Holds better than the 1st one, which tended to slide. I would secure it w/ large safety pin on the inside of the strap near the bottom & it was barely noticeable. The original one also came w/ a wrap-around shoulder pad that they apparently don't include on this newer one. I took it off the old one & snapped it onto the strap of the new one. And same like I did on the first one, I carefully removed the 2 plastic squares of the hook-side of the Velcro patches, which tended to be 'scratchy' when pulling my hand in & out of the side pockets. All in all a great practical bag!

I received my third Ameribag Healthy Back Bag promptly from Amazon this afternoon. These bags really do take the pressure off your back, and the straps have a pebbled surface which keeps them on your shoulder. There are two generous outside pockets, one zippered and one with a Velcro flap. The zippered outside pocket has another Velcro-fastened pocket just behind it for stashing receipts, tickets, and such. I've never lost an item from an Ameribag Healthy Back Bag. My pocket umbrella fits in the long, narrow pocket on the curved outside of the bag.

The silver lining helps me locate everything inside the bag, so I don't lose things at the bottom. Just inside the bag, adjacent to the zipper is a short, elastic key leash, so I always know where my keys are. I slip my cellphone into the handy small pocket and can carry a small water bottle in the long,narrow pocket at the back of the bag. There are two large slip pockets, narrow ones for pens, and a zippered one for a wallet and/or credit card carrier. There's plenty of room for a tablet and/or Kindle, too. My big sunglass case AND regular glasses case will fit in the bag along with a small camera in its case. I can stash coupons and/or a guidebook into the outer pocket. I sometimes stuff in a couple of "Envirosacs" to grocery shop. The strap can be lengthened to carry in front of you or across your body as well as over your shoulder.

While Healthy Back Bags may not be the height of fashion, they are not hard on the eyes and are wonderfully functional bags for everyday use and travel. They are also big enough to hold a little bag if you want to leave this one locked up someplace as you go out. I got the black microfiber one this time, and it is very attractive and smooth. I have a distressed nylon one, too, and a medium size (which to me is huge!) which I take on longer day trips where I might be putting my sweater, souvenirs, and books when traveling. I've washed them on the delicate cycle or simply spot cleaned my others, and they've stayed fresh-looking. I love designer bags and own a couple of them, but for comfort and functionality, you cannot beat these bags! They are terrific!

I saw this bag at the Relax the Back Store and was pleased to find that Amazon had them at a much better price so I was able to get two (black, brown) for the price of "one." Unfortunately, months later, I find that the material is very hard to clean. Something as simple as a sunblock smear doesn't rinse or wash out in the machine. My bags, even after washing, now carry every stain, smear and sweaty mark they've managed to acquire in the past few months. I find this kind of strange but then I've never had a microfiber bag before. I'll keep washing them and hoping they bounce back to their original clean form but I'm wondering if I should have saved up for the leather versions.

Marware jurni Kindle Case Cover, Red (fits Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle, and Kindle Touch)

Like a few others, I ordered this case after finding out about Kindle Touch. I wanted to take my kindle touch on a long, rough hiking trip (20 days), so I looked through the zippered covers carefully, and I ended up with this one.

Here are a few things I really enjoy about it:

1. This cover is very protective. To imitate the rough circumstances I might face on my trip, I have tried punching my fists together across one cover (not two), and a few punches don't hurt a lot. Through this test, I decided that my kindle touch will be safe from any reasonable collisions.

2. The zippers pull smoothly, much better than the zippers on my average clothes. So on my trip, I won't have to worry about breaking these zippers. The reason I'm so obsessed with zippers is that they keep most of the water (from rain and rivers) outside. I'm confident this cover will get the job done.

3. Most of the cover is fiber, not leather. I know a lot of people would prefer leather, but I like fiber, because most leather can't stand hard scratches. Fiber usually can.

4. The Marware zipper handles are very nice. They are soft, durable, and smooth. I would describe it as one of quality and careful design.

Now, for the two minor design flaws:

1. If you wish to place your kindle touch upright and apply the hand strap to your left hand, you'll be seriously disappointed. The reason is that the cover doesn't fold back properly; when you hold it with your left hand, you'll be forced to exert additional force to keep it folded. (I'm left handed, so it is a big problem for me). Someone has suggested doing fold-and-zip. While this can certainly be done (I've tried it, and it worked), it cannot be done without effort, because the zippers are pulled backwards. Also, since the zipper handles will be zipped to the inside after this is done, unzipping the cover takes lots of effort and endangers your zipper to breaking (I did not break mine on the first try, but I know the zippers pull weirdly when I tried to unzip it from the fold-and-zip). Clearly, Marware did not design the cover to be used this way.

The only real solutions are to hold it with your right hand or insert the kindle touch bottom-up, since you will then be holding the cover by its zippered edges, allowing your thumb 's natural position to push the cover down (I've experimented with it, and this really works without intentionally exerting any additional force).

*** NOTE: both the fold-and-zip and my solutions will leave a bend mark on the leather piece.

2. Even without a kindle touch in it, this cover's side pocket is very tight, so extracting almost anything from the pocket will prove difficult without tools. This renders the side pocket useless (I wanted to use it as a substitute for my wallet, but I had to change my mind).

Even with these minor flaws, this is a great cover that serves the purposes of both being comprehensively protective and looking nice. I would definitely recommend this to any kindle touch user. Excellent work, Marware!

*** UPDATE, with the actual kindle touch:

The side pocket doesn't feel any different with the kindle touch; however, it is still too tight to be useful.

The kindle touch fits perfectly, and the cover zippers can still zip and unzip without any trouble.

After folding the cover and making the kindle face up, the kindle touch's weight is enough to keep the cover folded.

My right hand hand strap method works, and my thumb will not touch the kindle touch screen when I use the method. It works even when I take the cover-and-kindle facing down.

Plugging the charger into the kindle touch can be slightly troublesome, since the cover bends up on the sides and can get in the way. (Pushing the cover's sides down works.

The cover has two zipper handles, so you can zip the cover even while charging.

One of the complaints about the Marware Jurni Kindle cases is that they don't lie flat. The solution appears to be running the zipper partially back once you open the case. The illustration in the Amazon listing even shows this.

However, when you look at other Marware products and read the reviews, you might come to the conclusion that the company doesn't always "get it". The reverse zipper trick is a bit of a "The dog ate my homework" excuse. If Marware had intended the case to work this way, they would have used the kind of zipper pulls that can be moved from one side of the slider to the other. My guess is that they designed it, has the cases made overseas, and when they got their hands on the production models, got that sinking feeling that comes with realizing you messed up.

You CAN make this case work properly and fold open without a lot of effort. Just take a sharp knife or good embroidery scissors and cut away the fake leather hinge piece. Work carefully on the threads that stitch the hinge to the cover and pull the piece away a little at a time. You'll be rid of it in a few minutes. It does leave some unfinished looking areas on the case, but it FUNCTIONS like it was supposed to, and the zippered pocket on the outside is actually usable.

The Jurni is just another Marware design with problems. In this case, the back "hinge" piece is made of materials that are too stiff, and want to fight back at you. Marware may have forgotten (or may have never known) that for many of the activities undertaken by Kindle users, the ability of the Kindle to lie flat is important -otherwise you might as well be reading a paper book.

I would be happy to trade my (now fixed) Kindle Fire Jurni with a truly functional production model, should Marware ever fess up and get this thing fixed.

I was looking for something that was durable and adequately protected my Kindle, and this works beautifully! As another reviewer pointed out, the cover doesn't stay open well, but if you bend it back and slightly zip the cover closed, the cover will stay open.

It's about 1 in. thick, but it's still small enough to fit in my purse. I'm very happy with this purchase!

EDIT: Since I've been using this with my new Kindle Touch, I've noticed that the cover is more flexible now and doesn't require me zipping it to stay open! Also, the side pocket (as other have pointed out) is pretty useless. I tried to put the power cord in there...no go. I can see how CC would fit, but honestly I would be scared I couldn't get them back out! I still give it 5 stars because it fits my Kindle Touch so well. I can turn it on and charge it without having to remove it from the cover.

I have read all of the other reviews for this cover, and I think I may offer another point of view.

First of all, to the people who say their Kindle's do not fit in this cover/case; it is made for the Kindle and Kindle touch. If you own a Kindle keyboard, then you need to look at Marware's case for that model.

For those who say that the hand strap is useless, you are just being overly critical. If you take an extra 30 seconds, you can fold the case over and zip it shut and it works perfectly. The zippers are not reversible, but it can be done with a little care.

The pocket is very tight, and really will only hold a card maybe, but that is why I have a wallet so I am not really concerned.

All in all, I am very pleased with this case. It holds my Kindle touch very snugly, and it is quick and easy to take in and out if need be. The case is strong enough so that I am not worried about my Kindle getting damaged by normal use at all. I love the hand strap when I am reading, and it can be used with either hand. The design may not be perfect, but I think it does what it is meant to do. I am not claiming that they have every bug worked out, but to quite honest, to fix the all the imperfections would make this product more bulky and less attractive.

I read the reviews for this product, and almost didn't buy it, but I'm glad I did. I carry my Kindle in my bag to school, and wanted something that would potect it from getting smashed or spilled on. The other covers, with their open sides, were not what I really wanted.

No, the pocket is not really big enough to carry much, but that's why I have a purse and a bag. I did not try to fold back the cover and zip it, as some have done, but I really don't intend to use the hand pocket. I am already capable of holding my Kindle, I just wanted something to protect it. Terra Collection Campus Pack For Macbook 15 " Blue Denim

I've been using a lot of different laptops backpacks, bags and cases for around 10 years or so, and this is the first time my computer gets damaged while being inside the back pack. The back pack Fell from the bed to the ground and got an awful bump on the corner of my 3k+ Macbook pro. I Assure Is not the first time any of my computer cases fell onto the ground on a minor height but it is indeed the first time it gets damaged,

While the design On the Campus Pack is cool, it fails to fulfill the simple function of protecting your precious machine. Cant really recommend.

I have gotten my fair of compliments on this backpack, and I would purchase it again if mine had broke. Perfect fit for my Macbook 15" nad iPad simultaneously, and the pockets inside are pretty useful.

A word of caution: Be careful when zipping up the front pockets, the interior cloth was sticking out while I quickly zipped up a pocket and I badly ripped the interior. Can no longer use the top pocket because of this error. :(

Cons: the shoulder straps are not adjustable on the top and are very short, i am 6'0" 225 lbs and the pack does not hang well. would work for a smaller framed person but if you are large framed look for a pack with adjustable shoulder straps.

Overall this is a great deal, would compare to packs like 5.11 and others

I was looking for a solid bug out bag that had plenty of mollie attachments, just the right size, and just the right features...this bag was it. I've set this bag up as my primary home bug out bag and love to take it on hikes with me when I get out on tough day hikes. The construction is tough and it's just the right size.

This bag replaced all the other backpacks I have, and blows away the other ones I have had. I had two woodland camo MOLLE Gen 1 bags, but did not prefer them because the plastic brace sheet was easily deformed. Also, there was a single row of MOLLE loops above the external pocket, which was placed inconveniently.

This bag by Condor swooped in from the heavens and saved me from the one-off inadequacy of what I had been using. The bag is covered in MOLLE attachments, has pockets with a rubberized interior, the removable kidney strap has a dozen sets of MOLLE loops, and the generous pocket inside the main pocket will accommodate two 2 liter hydration packs. the lower external pocket has a large velcro panel, and there is a secret map pocket see if you can find it!

The only confession I have to make is that I did not buy this bag from amazon, I found it at a local thrift store for 15$, but its an amazing bag for 65$ nonetheless

Haven't had the chance to field test it but I bought this pack to keep in my truck with some survival/ medical essentials. It feels tough and is plenty big enough for 2 days of gear if you pack essentials (maybe a couple of luxury items). I love the molle attach points all over it, I have a canteen on one side, a survival knife on the other and a 2 Mag M-4 pouch and IFK on the back molle loops. I love the Olive coloring. Judging by the quality of the pack I'd say condor has worked out some of it's prior quality control issues. I gave it 4 stars bc it doesn't have a way to adjust the top of the shoulder straps and I'm a tall broad shouldered guy but it's not that big of a deal bc I won't be actually wearing it much if I have to use it for intended purpose.

The case really is pretty, but it turned out a lot darker than the skin. The skin has all the right colors--vibrant blues and the watch is a great color. I'm very happy with the skin, though I'm still smoothing out a few of the bubbles from application (my fault, not theirs). However, the case is just...lacking....oh, it's pretty, but it's much duller than the skin. The blue just looks a little tired and there isn't the same amount of contrast between the background and the butterflies, making it hard to make out the entirety of the picture. It's also a little thin, so while it does my job of protecting my net book in my purse, if you're looking for something that will protect your hardware in high impact instances, look elsewhere. To get a good feel of how much it will protect your technology, go to walmart and feel the inside of the cases with the handles. They are about the same, though this case is made with a better quality.

Wanted a bag to lug my gym stuff and would not be out of place in the office.

Don't want those 'sport' bags with logos. Bought this leather duffle and is satisfied.

The leather feels thick and may actually be real, except for the thin layered straps.

But so far it has not gave way, been using it for about 2 months now.

The "stone" design refers to a patchwork of smaller pieces (remnants?) sewn together.

I guess that's where the value is. Was not sure if the 19" size was big enough. Turns out to be huge. Fits all I need for the gym or for a weekend trip. It still fits a gym locker, have to push it in though, due to its squarish size (from the side).

Good quality zippers, but I find it awkward when opening/closing the top zippers. Specifically, I am not able to do the action in one sweeping motion as the bag folds towards the center. Also, the backside (side without pockets) seems shorter than the front.

There is no divider inside the bag. The side pockets are generous. There are 4 total, 2 on each side and 2 smaller ones in front.

Overall, this bag is good for the price.

I gave this bag to my youngest, adult daughter. She LOVES it. She uses it to carry her college books. The bag is large, sturdy, and very appealing. It is large and has enough compartments to be useful and stylish.

UPDATE -At a minimum, Jennifer gets VERY high marks for fast and attentive customer service. It's clear that she really believes in her product and cares about making sure customers are happy. She sent a new bag in the mail right away, and made my return of the old bag super-easy. The zippers on the new bag also feel stiff, but I'm thinking maybe they'll ease up with more use. Hoping the straps on this one hold up. If they do, then I'd add another star to bring it up to 4. Would have 5 but for the little things noted below (and the first one breaking -but that can happen).

ORIGINAL POST -I purchased a Glo Bag on Amazon a few weeks ago. When it arrived, the zippers felt stiff, as if they're going to break easily, and almost immediately all the small tabs that are attached to the zipper pulls came off. No big deal on those. They're non-functional anyway. But this morning the entire strap that attaches the backpack straps to the body of the bag broke off. I have used the bag NO MORE THAN FIVE TIMES so far. And by so far, I guess I mean ever, since the bag is now useless. What gives (other than the straps on a Glo Bag)? I read good things about this product. Not sure if I'm just having an unusually bad experience, but the one I received is cheap and poorly made. (Side notes -I also agree with another reviewer who mentioned that small items fall from the middle shelf to the bottom around the edges, but that is mostly just a minor annoyance. One other annoyance that I wouldn't have bothered to write about had the bag not broken this morning is that the ribbing along the edges of the bag gets caught on the edges of my gym locker, which makes it very hard to get the bag into and out of the locker. I'm sure it's challenging to make a bag that's as big as possible while at the same time small enough to fit standard gym lockers, but I'm not sure they've gotten the formula quite right yet.)

If you frequent the gym you need this bag. I am an organization freak and love how everything has it's place. I know where everything is in this bag, in my other bag everything was a jumbled mess. It really helps save on time too when getting ready. My only complaint was that there was a stitching issue on the mesh pocket. The mesh broke out of the stitching the first time I zipped it up, but since I know how to run a needle and thread I fixed it right away. I would have sent it back and exchanged it for a new one, but I needed a new bag ASAP. A little piece of advice is buy the cosmetics bag with it. It seems expensive (an extra $25) but it is worth it I assure you!

I LOVE the way this diaper bag/purse looks. It's great that it comes with a changing pad but it makes the entire back of the purse like a flat wall. I paid $100 for this. Its just ok. Feels FAKE and gets dirty easily. I am using it as my everyday bag, could take it or leave it. For the price, I wish I would've bought something else.

***Update 6/25/13 last month (5/10/13) the handles on this bag starting falling apart, took me about a week to be able to reach the company. They asked me to send the bag to them so they can either fix it or replace it.

Over a month later and about 20 (maybe more) emails I still dont have a bag. They cant replace it with the same one because they no longer carry it. You have to pick from the available items in the inventory (which none costs $100) and they cant receive money from you so here I sit with a credit with them waiting to see if one day another bag comes along for the same price because you cant pay the difference in price.

In conclusion: STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAG!! I am staying away from ANY michael kors purchases altogether! I had a problem with a coach bag once and it was taken care of in about 3 weeks from start to finish.

High Sierra Cirque 30 Pack

I was looking for a backpack that I can use for both day hikes and for backpacking (I pack light when i go backpacking!). This pack is extremely comfortable, and has the perfect amount of storage for carrying all my gear. It has a sternum strap (which has elastic so it doesn't constrict your breathing), and a waist strap. padding on all the straps, and the padding on the back of the pack itself, is plenty comfortable. There is a phone/mp3 player pouch on the left shoulder strap, and the top of the pack has a special thru-hole for use with a water bladder.

My only complaint is that the zippers are a bit tricky to use. The zippers seem pretty durable, but it can be a pain in the butt if you have to unzip and zip the pack frequently. I think other reviewers pointed this out too. It isn't a deal-breaker, it's just kind of annoying. There is a fabric strip that covers the zippers (like most backpacks have), and if you pull it away from the zipper before you try to unzip the pack, it is much easier.

As far as capacity is concerned, I am able to fit all my backpacking gear (sleeping back, tent, food, fishing gear, etc), my full-size camera tripod that collapses to 15", and two 1-quart bottles in the mesh side pockets.

My backpack is still good as new after 3 years, and I even use it as a carry on bag at the airport frequently, however the carrying handle on top tore off about a year ago. It didn't cause any damage to any seams or anything, so I just cut off the remaining material for the handle and continue using the backpack without it. I do miss it sometimes though, it was a great place to grab hold of the bag to toss it into my car trunk. If the rest of the bag ever bites the dust, I will definitely consider buying this exact same backpack to replace it.

I recently bought this backpack to use while cycling and must say the quality is quite high. It seems to be made of a high quality water resistant material that will likely last a long time. The straps on this bag are thick and the back of the bag is made of a rather stiff foam. The pack is also versed with every attachment option imaginable, but I find it has too many straps that can get quite annoying. Inside there are not many pockets, just the two main pouches each with a thin separator and a small zip pocket. Overall for the price, this is a great backpack to use for outdoor activities.

It is extremely comfortable, the waist and chest straps see to that well. Do not get me wrong

I bought the black one and paid $49.95. What a bargain! I have paid much more money for much less pack. It's well made, comfortable, easy to organize and great for a grab and go hike. I wouldn't load 50 lbs of books in it and you can't use it for a four day backpack trip, but I have to carry a lot of water for my dog and this pack is a blessing. I have an arthritic shoulder and this pack gets the weight off of the painful spots and shifts it to the hip belt. I love it!

Eagle Creek Luggage Heritage Weekender Bag

I purchased this bag for 2 reasons: It slides over the handle of my rollabout suitcase, making it easy to transport through airports and city streets, and it has plenty of additional storage space. I also like the quality of Eagle Creek luggage. It's a bit pricey, but a good long-term travel investment

It has a compact profile but holds a LOT inside. I was amazed how much I could stuff into it. There was concern it would be too narrow, but the width fit the Eagle Creek Half-cube just fine (and then some), and has more than enough room to pack for a weekend. As a carry-on, it fits perfectly on airplanes "under the seat in front of you", if you like to keep an eye on your valuables.

Very light, but very sturdy. Genius outer-rear pocket also serves as a slip-sleeve to pull-over the handle of your suitcase/roll-aboard for ease and convenience. Inside organizer pockets help keep smaller items sorted so they're easy to locate in the main compartment. Unhook the shoulder straps to secure to your seat while waiting for your train/plane, or remove if you decide to check-in your carry-on at the gate.

My only disappointment is that there is no key ring or fob holder sewn into the rear pocket or inside the main compartment. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this to my adventurous friends.
