Kelty Mockingbird 28-Liter Pack

I'm a longtime fan of Kelty bags, and I've owned quite a few models, but this isn't one of their best offerings. I get the whole throwback bag movement, and I've long used old USGI and foreign military packs as well. This bag feels cheaply made, the zippers grab, and the lashing system to get the main cover down is annoying due to the fact that it doesn't unbuckle. If this were less money I wouldn't gripe as much, but in this price range there are many other options that are better quality. Bummer because the style and fit is actually ok.

But if you are a serious hiker there are much better options out there. It is small by current standards and really only fits individuals who are small in stature.

Everest Luggage Oversize Deluxe Backpack

I'm really happy with this backpack. I received it a few days ago and I like the quality of this backpack. It has lots of pockets to put all my books and equipment for my computer and school work. I don't use a laptop but I do carry lots of cables and audio equipment with me. I got mine in a nice navy blue color and the quality of the stitching on mine is good. I've read review on another site that state there's a quality control issue with some of their backpacks, but mine is good and if there's any issues I'll post an update. The zippers are functional and dont feel bad at all. The smaller pouches on the back have pockets on them and inside of them, while the main compartment and the side pouch are, each, only a single compartment. The straps and area that covers your back is padded and feels decent. Very good and large backpack for what it cost. Just be sure, as with any product, to check the quality of the one you get. No problems so far.

Overall, for $25 you can't beat this backpack and I love mine. Lets me get my work done and carry everything I need for my daily tasks. I'm glad I purchased this backpack cause the prices other brands want are ridiculous. I'm very satisfied.

Several years ago, I purchased a Nikon D-90 camera package that included a nice and fairly expensive camera bag if purchased individually. As I've added lenses and other accessories, I needed to replace the bag in order to accomodate the extra equipment. When I priced camera bags, I found them outrageously expensive and not much more practical than the bag I already had.

I then looked at backpacks and found this one at a fraction of the price of a dedicated camera bag. Though I had some misgivings, I ordered it and when it arrived, I found it to be perfect for its intended use as a camera pack. I added a 12 x 12 x 4 in. piece of closed cell foam into which I cut custom holes for my camera and lense, four additional lenses, batteries and charger, two flash attachments and a flashlight in the main compartment.

The backpack itself offered excellent padding at the back and I added another piece of closed cell foam (12 x 12 x 1 1/2 in.) on top. I was especially pleased that I was able to include a cutout for my 650mm reflector telephoto lense which had always had to travel in a separate container if I traveled with it at all.

With all of the major equipment included in the main compartment, I was then able to use the outside compartments for additional equipment such as camera manuals, a card wallet, electrical cables, batteries for remoted shotter release and flash attachments, lense wipes, USB cables, USB card reader and other "stuff." The exterior straps allowed the attacfhment of a small tripod on the outside of the bag.

On a recent cruise of the Italian Amalfi coast and a land tour of Rome, I added a handheld GPS, a Kindle Fire, a guidebook, a walkie-talkie and still had room to dump all of my pocket change, keys, headphones, lighters, etc. to use as a carry-on for going through security.

With it fully loaded, the bag weighed about 35 pounds but still was functional as a sling bag and was easy to get on and off as a backpack. It was completely comfortable and functional as a backpack/camera bag on a three-mile walking tour of Rome.

This is a quality daypack and well worth the investment as a camera pack with the minimal modifications I made.

Dakine Laptop Sleeve

I ordered this Sleeve for my MacBook Pro 17 (Early 2011). The sleeve fits perfectly in width,but there is about an inch of play in the shorter length dimension.

This sleeve has plenty of padding across the top and bottom, yet like many sleeves lacks real padding on the edges. I need a sleeve to slip inside my Osprey Momentum 34-Litre Commuter Pack backpack that will protect the edges of my MBP.

Therefore this sleeve is not going to work for me. I am going to try the Brenthaven ProStyle Hardcase III (13 ich version -> Brenthaven Prostyle Hardshell I for Macbook 13-Inch (2123101)). Sadly. when I upsized the one inch in width from the 15" MBP my selection of stylish cases and sleeves drastically reduced. (I would rather not have a boxy bag that screams steal me, I'm a laptop bag)

I ordered the large in citron, it is the exact color showing, and fits my 15" laptop perfect. Enough room to store some extra papers or anything flat in there, but not enough for the computer to move around or store cables.

I really like this case. I ordered it with standard shipping and recieved it in two days which was fantastic. The case is great for me. The only thing negative I would say about this is that the sizing when ordering is a little bit confusing. Also, I ordered the 'Devin Checks' and in the picture it showed the case to be gray, blue, and white. The case I recieved is teal, pale yellow, and different shades of gray. This doesn't really bother me because I like the colors I got even better than what was on the picture. However, be careful if you really have your heart set on what it looks like online. Overall great value, and great service.

I very carefully measured my laptop. According to the interior dimensions listed here, my laptop should have fit into this sleeve. It didn't. Aside from that annoyance, the sleeve was fine. It appeared reasonably well made, and the smell was not unbearable. I returned it due to the size issue, but I assume the faint smell would dissipate in a few days.

The only thing that would have been nice is for it to have a little more room for me to put a charger. I guess thats why people get actual computer bags. Really, thats not even that big of a deal, I just put it in my purse whenever I need it. Overall, like I said, simple but good.

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Signature Quilted Backpack

I NEVER carried a diaper bag. When my son was pre-sippy cup, pre-snacks I just carried a slightly larger purse... But he outgrew that at about 6 months and I needed another option.I was going back and forth between this one, a Stephen Joseph (non-signature) backpack, or a Skip-Hop. They are all so darn cute! I got the dinosaur (wanted the monsterbut I went with DH's wishes on this one!) Signature Collection backpack. I am so glad that I got the signature collection backpack because it holds SO much without being bulky or stiff (such as the skip-hop). It holds with the drawstring top closing completelya change of clothes, two diapers, a package of wipes, a water bottle, two formula packets, a squeezy food packet, spoon, bib, a snack dispenser thingy, a sippy cup, a toy or two, my cell phone and keys. I can also put a jacket, mittens and hat in there and still get the flap snapped closed but with a little gap under the flap. I frequently just put this on as a back pack. The straps are adjustable. I can imagine that this would be a little large for a toddler to carry. If I were getting it for him to carry in a year or two, I might have to go with the smaller one. :/ Can't test that out, DS is not yet mobile!

This backpack arrived on time, packed flat. I am using it for my 35" tall 18 month old son to carry changes of clothes to and from daycare. He loves to wear it but it is still too big on him and flops around. There's enough room for his sneakers, two pairs of socks, two pants, two shirts, and a sweatshirt. I love the design and many have complimented the backpack. He will gets lots of use out of it in the years to come! Seems durable and well-made. Would definitely order again.

My son (7 years old) likes it. I do not like it but my opinion is not very important. The backpack is light and wide enough. My son puts in it different cars plus 2 small juices and 2 cakes. And takes that to summer camp. It is suitable for summer period not for cold autumn and winter.

In general, cute, with good quality materials. However, if you look at the photo closely, you will see that the top flap looks off-center. I did notice that myself, and just assumed it was the was simply how it was laid out for the photo. Actually, it is completely off-center, and looks terrible. The magnate latches don't line up, and the whole thing pulls itself out of wac and looks goofy and poorly made. I sent mine back, it's not workable at all. I thought mine was an aberration until I saw the picture again.....can't imagine what somebody was thinking. Very odd.

Vagabond Traveler NESTOR - 21" Leather Overnight Travel Duffle Bag

I'm going on a 2 week vacation to Spain, France & Italy & wanted to look somewhat fashionable with my luggage being that it is Europe. I did extensive research looking at other brands: Saddleback, Bric's, Mulholland Brothers but all those leather duffel bags were in the $500.00 range. Someone on internet mentioned this small company Vagabond Traveler & I must say I am Extremely impressed. This duffel could easily pass as a $1200.00 Prada or Polo. The leather is very supple, the photos show it to be hard but it is really soft. The zippers & clasps are high quality metal & really large lobster clasps to connect the shoulder strap to the bag. The interior is lined in high quality silk or nylon, the type that is really soft & found in high end bags. They say leather will have natural nicks and marks but I did not find one blemish. The dark chocolate is really dark almost black but in a good way. I prefer silver hardware to gold hardware on bags. There is alot of pockets & zippers so looks kind of light a motorcycle jacket which they may have been going for. The Vagabond Traveler logo is fairly discreet, just on on front top and branded in the leather. This duffel was a steal at this price. Now the only quibbles I have is that the metal hardware clasps are held by small 1 1/2 inch leather loops. If I filled the bag up with heavy items, over time that leather loop will stretch & break. They should have made the loop double thick even though it may distract from the look. Another item is that the bag is slightly smaller than what I expected. This is truly a weekend bag, good for a 3 day trip. It will fit easily in overhead bin in plane though. The air is dry here in Arizona so I treated it with Chamberlains leather milk which is somewhat pricey but worth it for preserving high end leather. Someday I may fork over the $600.00 for a Saddleback duffel but this will do fine for now.

This is a solid bag. It fits well. 15L is perfect for carrying iPad, Nikon D7000 DSLR camera (with lens), 2 additional high quality lenses (with hoods), plus other knick-knacks for the camera. I will be using while traveling overseas, so I needed something a little more secure. Aside from the cut-through resistant fabric, the zippers can be latched in place to prevent someone from unzipping and dashing off with your valuables. The bag also allows you to clip one of the arms around a table or chair which is designed to discourage thieves from running by and grabbing your gear. I do not own RFID enabled credit cards or passport, but the bag does advertise protection from thieves that can scan for these devices.

Update It is now July 2013. I have used this bag since April 2013. I took it to Greece and Turkey and felt safer using the backpack with its features. The fit is great compared to other backpacks I have used for this same purpose. My camera equipment is a little heavy (obviously my choice because I carry so much stuff), but the slightly rigid/padded spine on the backpack makes for a more comfortable fit. I'm still enjoying my purchase.

I purchased this in anticipation of a trip to Italy this Sept/Oct. I used a similarly sized backpack, in place of a bag or purse, last time I was there and it was great as I cannot stand the feel of a cross body pack and also like the hands free wandering. After being advised, and warned by friends who had recently travelled through Greece and Italy, that pickpocketing and theft are at all time highs, I wanted to get something more secure. Quick shipping got it here within a week. Color is very accurate, the material is soft but feels substantial and you do not feel or see the internal mesh safety wire on the body or in the straps. The padding on the pack and the wide straps are very comfortable and stay in place even without the extra chest strap. It is even comfortable carried on one shoulder for short periods of time. I am only 5'5" and walk pretty fast; this sits nicely on the center of my back without bouncing or being too long and hitting the top of my butt! The two side pockets for water bottles are ample and accommodate fairly large diameter bottles. The security clasps on the zippers are easy to lock and not hard to open but you would definitely notice if someone was trying to get them open while you were wearing it it is a two handed operation. The small exterior zippered pocket has three compartments, one being RFID for passport or wallet with credit cards (wallet would have to be on the small side and it fits my passport with little room to spare). Only minor complaint would be that it would be a tad more accessible with two zippers creating one large flap instead of one zipper going 3/4 of way but not a big deal. The interior is spacious and my tablet easily fits in the padded pocket with room to spare. This medium size would accommodate a smaller laptop with no problem! The large interior is roomy and easily fits my SLR camera, extra lens, scarf, paperback book(s), small purchases, travel umbrella, rolled up rain jacket, and it wasn't stuffed full. Pretty high price point, but it appears well constructed and should last a long time. Will write update AFTER the trip this fall. Would recommend!

I purchased 2 of these backpacks for my sons in elementary school which requires clear backpacks. I selected this particular style because I thought it would last longer with the fabric bottom and back. At first, I was very pleased since the plastic seemed so much thicker than packs we've had in the past. However, the first week they used them, the plastic cracked wherever it was bent. Soon those cracks led to tears. I used packing tape to help patch the holes, but new ones just arrived at the edge of the tape. We didn't have these packs one month before they totally fell apart and the boys' school things fell all over the ground. My oldest son is in 3rd grade, so he carries books home daily. My youngest son is in kindergarten. All he brings home are worksheets in a folder. Both bags cracked and tore. It didn't matter how much weight was in the pack. I wouldn't recommend these bags.

Used to carry supplies to back horse pasture. Practical, washable, and cheap. (why do these reviews have to be so many words?)

I've bought about 6 of these over the last 3 years. My sons usually manage to get about 1/2 school year out of one. I haven't seen anything from any manufacturer that I thought would hold up any better, so I just order a few here and there. They're made pretty well, and the PVC is quite thick. The problem is that NO clear material is made to be used in this kind of way. Plastic is the only option, and it will always be weak in this application.

The other review said theirs cracked and tore in a week. I wonder if that was in a cold climate? I'm in FL, so it's never cold enough to make the plastic very stiff. Maybe that's why I get acceptable life out of one?

Until the paranoid idiots that run our school systems realize that nonsensical reactionary measures like clear or mesh backpacks don't do anything at all other than inconvenience us, I think we're stuck buying these things!!

Acme Made Clyde St. Messenger Bag with Bombshell Technical Ballistic Nylon Fabric for 15-Inch Noteb

As a professor, I bought this bag to carry around my laptop, textbook, papers, and various other essentials. It is a very sturdy and professional-looking bag. I love it!

I believe this is a newer version of the Clyde Bag, I have the one with orange color inside, got it from a thrift shop years ago.

I am a bike commuter, have always been wanting to buy a "real bike bag". like Seagull, Chrome, and Timbuk2. Aside from saving money, this Clyde bag's shape is so alike with the other bike bag, similar size (other's medium), adjustable strap (though on the different side than bike bags). What different from other bike bags that I like the most, is that there are many compartments, big and small, enough to neatly carry my 15" MBP, loose papers, folders, stationaries, etc.

It also has a handle, makes it easy to carry by hand. Bike bags don't have handle at all, perhaps for practical reason, as the handle gets on my way when I tighten the strap for biking. The material, though not recycled truck material, is very durable. It looks elegant and fancy! Zippers are strong. I lost the Nexus clips (that closes the cover) several times, this is the problem with this older Clyde, there's nothing to hold the clip until I use an office paper clip to seal the open straps. And my Clyde is not totally water resistant, small rain is fine, but things does get wet when it's pouring.

Since I have already get used to the compartments feature, to calm my desire to buy a Chrome, I bought a Timbuk2 Deluxe Strap Pad, and made myself a cross-chest stabilizer. Now it's closer to a bike bag.

I have the largest size and the add-on piece. Both are gorgeous and high quality. The roller wheels move freely and allow for quick mobility. This large piece has a few scuff marks from airport handling but that is normal. It held up very well and still looks elegant.

This luggage was basically destroyed on my second trip using it. The top handle broke off. I have emailed eBags.com about a warranty. Very, very disappointed. It didn't withstand the airport.

The organizer was well-made. It keep my diaper bag organized and no more digging / searching when I need to get something out of the bag. However, it have a very strong odor. I have to wash it 2 times before I use it.

Glo Bag: Ladies Gym Locker Organizer Bag in Hot Pink

UPDATE -At a minimum, Jennifer gets VERY high marks for fast and attentive customer service. It's clear that she really believes in her product and cares about making sure customers are happy. She sent a new bag in the mail right away, and made my return of the old bag super-easy. The zippers on the new bag also feel stiff, but I'm thinking maybe they'll ease up with more use. Hoping the straps on this one hold up. If they do, then I'd add another star to bring it up to 4. Would have 5 but for the little things noted below (and the first one breaking -but that can happen).

ORIGINAL POST -I purchased a Glo Bag on Amazon a few weeks ago. When it arrived, the zippers felt stiff, as if they're going to break easily, and almost immediately all the small tabs that are attached to the zipper pulls came off. No big deal on those. They're non-functional anyway. But this morning the entire strap that attaches the backpack straps to the body of the bag broke off. I have used the bag NO MORE THAN FIVE TIMES so far. And by so far, I guess I mean ever, since the bag is now useless. What gives (other than the straps on a Glo Bag)? I read good things about this product. Not sure if I'm just having an unusually bad experience, but the one I received is cheap and poorly made. (Side notes -I also agree with another reviewer who mentioned that small items fall from the middle shelf to the bottom around the edges, but that is mostly just a minor annoyance. One other annoyance that I wouldn't have bothered to write about had the bag not broken this morning is that the ribbing along the edges of the bag gets caught on the edges of my gym locker, which makes it very hard to get the bag into and out of the locker. I'm sure it's challenging to make a bag that's as big as possible while at the same time small enough to fit standard gym lockers, but I'm not sure they've gotten the formula quite right yet.)

If you frequent the gym you need this bag. I am an organization freak and love how everything has it's place. I know where everything is in this bag, in my other bag everything was a jumbled mess. It really helps save on time too when getting ready. My only complaint was that there was a stitching issue on the mesh pocket. The mesh broke out of the stitching the first time I zipped it up, but since I know how to run a needle and thread I fixed it right away. I would have sent it back and exchanged it for a new one, but I needed a new bag ASAP. A little piece of advice is buy the cosmetics bag with it. It seems expensive (an extra $25) but it is worth it I assure you!

This bag is so perfect and very well made. It's super strong. You can pack it full of stuff, hang it in the locker, but easily reach for anything you need. It's like installing portable shelves with everything you need organized and right at your fingertips. The compartments are removable so you can adjust them to what you need. It comes with a wet bag for wet items which is awesome.

I love this bag and although it's expensive, it's worth every penny.

Scooby Doo Large Rolling Backpack - Shaggy

I was very excited to order this for my son; he loves Scooby and needed a new backpack for a trip we were about to take.

We've used it all of 3 weeks and there is already a hole in one of the seams, some of the piping is worn down, and one of the Scooby dog tags has fallen off [despite my noticing it was loose and tightening the loop]. And we're not talking about hard use here: he used it to transport toys on a car trip, and he's used it for 2 camps to carry his stuff to and fro.

Otherwise, it's fairly roomy, seems to roll ok, and the handle slides up and down fine. We've never tried the wheel cover, but another complaint I have is that it tips forward making it a pain to load up and causing it to fall all over the place.

All in all, I'm highly disappointed with this product, and would return it if I could. :(

My sister asked for a Scooby Doo backpack for my nephew. I did some research and found out from the reviews that the larger one was the way to go. I'm glad I did. He loves it. The cover for the wheels is a plus and keeps the clothes clean. It's a very good quality as well.

The North Face Wayfinder 19" Travel Bag Black Mens
