I made sure to measure my laptop before purchasing this bag, luckily it was the perfect size. The padded pocket is amazing, snug and the velcro strap is very nice, prevents my laptop from slipping out unexpectedly. I love the extra space and the outside pockets. This bag was made very well, the strap on the inside is textured so it doesn't slip off your shoulder, nice touch. There's nothing worse than watching your laptop slip to the ground. *shudders* I love the pattern on the front of the bag too. Overall I think this bag is great, and I would recommend this bag or any others from this company to others. I use it for school, so it's perfect! I hope everyone else is as pleased as I am.
This bag is so much more than I expected. I shopped around for days trying to find an affordable laptop case that didn't look like it belonged to a 40-year-old businessman, but couldn't find a single one until I stumbled upon this collection of KCliff bags. My 15.6" laptop fits perfectly in the designated area, even though it's for 15.4" (though my laptop is nice and thin). Also, the material and padding in the bag makes the whole thing very soft and plush, but not bulky. The strap is magnificent and extremely comfortable, the lining is very soft, and the pockets expand significantly. Honestly, I wish I had enough money to buy every single different style of this bag. It's the best purchase I've ever made on Amazon (which is saying something, considering I order EVERYTHING from here).
Oh, and it came in double boxed and with lots of padding, so it was very well protected.

This bag is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a bag that had a padded compartment to fit my 14" laptop with a separate compartment for books, etc. and a smaller pocket or two for my ipod, phone, ID, etc. This bag has exactly that. My laptop (an HP Pavilion) fits quite easily into the padded compartment, which has a velcro closure for extra security. The non-padded pocket has ample space for books or other supplies and the two smaller zippered compartments are good for incidentals. The drawstring keeps the large compartment secure and the bag closes well with the velcro on the bag and flap (if the bag is REALLY stuffed I have to make sure to pull the flap down all of the way).
The strap works well for me, but I am 5'6" and shortwaisted so I didn't really need to extend it (no issues with velcro that some have reported in reviews of similar bags).
My only complaint is that I was choosing between 2 designs and went with this one because it did not have the KClifs logo embroidered on the cover in the photo. I wondered why as while it is not listed as a KClifs bag, it is designed exactly the same as the ones on the site that are. Turns out that it is and it does have the logo. It's not as ugly as I anticipated, but it bugs me that the bag isn't accurately represented in the photo. That's the only reason it loses a 1/2 a star.
Oh, it did have a chemically smell from the materials when it arrived. I just left it sitting outside on my covered deck overnight when I got it and it was fine after that.

I rated this low because of the simple fact that the picture is not what the bag looks like. There is fairly large print across the front that says K-Cliffs Lifestyle. How hard is it to just post a picture of the actual bag so I know what I am getting, after all I am paying honest money for it, so post an honest picture. So if you are expecting the bag to look like this when you get it, well your in for a surprise.
As far as the quality, well it seems to be really good otherwise I would have rated it a 1 star.

There are some things mentioned in other reviews that are definitely true:
1) Bag will barely hold a 15inch laptop. If yours is any bigger, it probably won't fit. By the way the length requirement is a lot stricter than the width/thickness, my laptop fit fine even though it's got an extra battery pack that gives it an extra inch thickness-wise.
2) Bag says the brand name very clearly, even though this isn't in the picture
Some other problems i got the bag had a pretty obvious zipper defect, i saw immediately that the zipper was misaligned in 2 places. (this is fixable if you're good with zippers, so i guess they're not just doing that much Quality Control?)
The inside of the bag had a small tear in it. kind of annoying. the material that separates the two compartments isn't the best.
The strap is velcro-only, so when the velcro wears off you'll have to either sew it or get a new bag.
Some good things the design-flap is actually very large, so even if you stuff the bag the design is still visible and still closes
As shown in the picture, there are no side pockets or flap pockets on this bag! It does hold pencils though.
Still 4/5 stars, it gets everything else right.
I bought this bag for two reasons: its cheap and its simple. I don't like shopping for back packs because there are a million designs and colors and they are all expensive, and this backpack is perfect. I needed something to take with when I go hiking to hold my water bottles, phone, and wallet: this backpack met all those needs. Then I started using it daily to take to work with meI have been using it daily on hikes, walks, and to work for almost 8 months and it still holds up fine. I even ordered a second one just to have it around in case. Also, it does hold a lot of weight. When I hike, I like to add some weight to the backpack to increase the challenge, and I once had 80 lbs in weights plus two 32 oz water bottles in there and it held up perfectly for the 3 hour hike. Love it!
