Mobile Edge ScanFast Onyx Backpack- 16-Inch PC/17-Inch Mac
I love this bag!!!!!I am 5'2" and am always dragging around enormous bags for all my work stuff. Hard to keep up with people at the airport. LOVE this bag; doesn't look bulky, holds all my stuff without looking overstuffed, and very comfortable on my back. Leaves hands free for other things (like Starbucks). Awesome!!!

The Amazon description should have said that this Mobile Edge model is designed for women. I am petite and found that the straps stayed on my shoulders much better than previous laptop backpacks I have owned. It also seemed lighter to carry even though I had more in it than in the backback I had been using. The ScanFast feature worked great -I just unzipped the compartment and was not asked to remove the laptop at the airport checkpoints. Note this backpack does not have a water bottle holder or a waist strap.Read Best Reviews of Mobile Edge ScanFast Onyx Backpack- 16-Inch PC/17-Inch Mac Here
This bag is great! Lightweight, lots of compartments for all my gadgets and plugs, don't have to take my laptop out in airport security and fashionable. It is very well made and a great value for the price. The only thing I would improve is the way the file folder section is made, hard to reach into since it is just a zipper compartment. Also I have no real good place to put my laptop power cord, I make do though since there are so many other perfect compartments.

I saw a woman carrying this bag at a convention & it immediately caught my eye. I asked where she got it and did an online search the next day & placed my order. Great buy! Lots of pockets and compartments to store various items. Light but durablle & very stylish! Love, love, love it!Wheeled Backpack

PEGASUS from SwissGear by Wenger Computer Backpack
My single complaint is that it does not have a lower band or strap which allows it to securely wraparound a roll-on luggage's handle useful when airporting around.
I probably need a life, but this bag has improved the quality of it immensely. The other excellent bags are the Synergy (same price) or the Maxuum (slightly cheaper), both by Swissgear but I don't think anyone makes a better functional or aesthetic bag than the Wegner Swissgear folks! This is a very well constructed bag, but the odd design of the diagonal separation between the larger back and middle compartments, and their equal depth, really limits what you can put into the bag. If you want to carry lots of legal pads, this would be a great bag. I want one large section for all of my books, etc., and a thinner section for the computer. I exchanged this for the Maxxum (also Wenger), which is perfect for me, as well as cheaper! The Maxxum also adds an adjustable kangaroo pouch on the front which is very handy. Ah, I should also note that both of these packs have an across-the chest strap that is placed too high. I still use it because it really helps with weight distribution.

I got this for my sweety and he LOVES it. It fits his Dell Inspiron e1705 perfectly and for those reviews complaining about the zippersthey must have something different. The zippers on this bag are slippy but they lock, if you know what I mean. They won't unzip themselves. It's got plenty of room for his accessories, work things, books and an extra change of clothes for overnight trips.
I have to admit, I thought about getting one for my e1405, but can't justify the expenditure when the laptop in a neoprene case transports well in my beat-up old Jansport. And he needed a backpack anyway.
We saw an airline employee traveling with the Pegasus from SwissGear and he had nothing but wonderful things to say about it. The only worry was getting one to fit his 17" computer. I bought this backpack with a niggling feeling from the iffy reviews, but let me put your mind at rest. He slipped it in and latched it and voila! Perfect fit. Snug but nowhere near worrisome. Plus, it's got a pocket for your Swiss Army knife. (but remember to take it out before heading to the airport!)
Highly recommendedand the price right now on Amazon is the best I've seen so far, saving up to $30 on other sites.

When I decided to get a high end laptop with a 17" screen, equally important was getting a nice-looking, roomy backpack that would adequately protect it. The challenge about finding a nice 17" backpack, though, is that most of them are very bland and the overall selection is extremely narrow.I quickly noticed how Wenger's Swiss Army backpacks were nice looking (and they even feature colors other than black or gray), but scouring many website reviews I read a repeated complaint that Dell's 17" laptops "barely" fit in this pack, the zipper "barely" got around the machine, etc., etc. Now that I finally jumped off the cliff to risk this pack without testing it in real life, I want to assure you this lovely backpack has ample room for Dell's monster notebooks. The only thing "snug" about it is that the laptop pocket is tight around your hardware. This means you can't just mindlessly drop your notebook in: you have to line it up with the pocket, but once in place, your machine slides in easily and there are zero problems with the zipper clearing around the edges.
After that, there's space for a three inch thick textbook, if you want, and/or a large zippered leather portfolio folder. I can fit those in, along with a coiled, long USB cable, oversized headphones and a full-sized wired mouse. There's a separate zippered, breathable bag to store your power cord, battery and a travel power adapter if you choose. And I still have more room after that.
The laptop compartment is padded on all sides (including the bottom) and there's thick, firm padding along the shoulder straps and the back. There's a sternum/high chest strap you can clip as well, if you're feeling particularly mountain man-like.
Externally, if you love the Swiss Army white cross on red background logo, you'll love this pack, because the little design is on every single zipper pull, on the shoulder straps, and elsewhere. The blue color that looks so strong in the photos is actually much more subdued in real life and could even be mistaken for gray. The red logos set things off, and the little media player pocket on the top front is completely lined in red material, which adds nice punch to everything.
Another cool touch is the main hand grip at the top of the pack-it's metal coil wrapped in clear plastic, and then wrapped again in a soft rubber grip. Very cool looking.
Best of all? Unlike other backpacks (third and first party) you could bundle with your purchase at Dell's website, this pack doesn't come emblazoned with a screaming "steal me, I'm an expensive computer" Dell logo smack in the middle of it. This pack could easily be seen as a plain ole backpack.
Heartily recommended. Dell 17-inchers (and otherwise): have no fear.

I've had this backpack for a week and took it right away on a trip to Vancouver. It's built strong and it looks strong too! The extra compartments on it made me feel queezy at first but I soon learned to love them, you can compartmentalize all your stuff and keep them accessible. My laptop is well protected and you can keep all your accesories handy like your mouse, cables, printer cables, etc. The shock absorbers at the straps really take the pain off carrying a lot of stuff on the backpack. I definitely recommend it to all those looking for a great product to keep your laptop and your stuff safe and handy!STM Bags Switch Large
In terms of comfort I love the padded back and carrying it around all day never seems to bother my back.
All said and done, I would highly recommend this backpack for anyone who just needs to carry around the electronic essentials. It won't carry much beyond that, but that's not what it was designed to do. My laptop feels incredibly secure and safe inside the bag, so I would also recommend it if you are looking for a shoulder bag case for a laptop while carrying a normal backpack on your back.Pros: This bag is made well. Design and craftsmanship are outstanding. Provides good protection for a laptop. Soft padding on shoulder pads makes carrying this bag very comfortable, almost do not feel the heavy weight of 17' MacBook Pro. The two way design is also desirable; can be used as a shoulder bag or a backpack. Nice compartments, iPad pocket, iPhone pocket etc.
Cons: No any extra space. 17' MacBook Pro fits pretty snuggly and no space left, even for chargers. Pretty bulky and boxy.
Bottom line: If you need a bag to carry ONLY a laptop then it is very good bag. But if you looking for a bag or backpack to carry a lot of stuff besides the computer then it is not going to work.I've been using this bag for nearly a year and it is amazing. I couldn't ask for a better bag. I carry around a 17" laptop, an iPad, laptop charger, wireless mouse, iPad charger, iPad stylus, and a couple of extra USB cables and they all fit nice and snug inside this bag. The strap is highly adjustable and is very comfortable. I feel that my tech is protected in this bag, but the bag is still small and compact. It doesn't have all kinds of noisy things hanging off of it and it looks great. I love this bag.
I don't use the backpack feature, but I imagine I would if I had to carry this for an extended period of time and I'm sure it is just as comfortable as the strap is.is made of high quality materials, it does the job, it is very comfortable, you can only carry a few things in the backpack. does the jobI brought this bag for my sister and she loves. The bag serves its purpose and is just as it is described. .

Ogio Newt II S Laptop/Tablet Backpack
This backpack comes with several compartments, one for your laptop, sunglasses, plane tickets (I use this one for wires), tablet sleeve, and a nice compartment at the top for other smaller electronics such as a phone or camera. I use all of these compartments and they are wonderful. They are each lined with some fuzzy material to prevent scratching. I don't even need a laptop sleeve anymore! (Perfect for the electronic maniac like me.)
This backpack has some serious stitching, I pack everything in here and not one seem out of place. It has foam lined straps and foam lining the back area (where the backpack rests against your back). This can be a real life saver when your campus is over a mile long.
Overall it is top of the line quality. There is one fairly large compartment for storing textbooks and what not, and it's all I really need. It may be a bit small for some, this is no camping backpack. I'm able to fit two full sized text books, and four notebooks in there. This compartment also has the tablet sleeve in it.
I'm not sure if I'm missing anything... The material is of great quality, it doesn't show stains much (it rains mud where I live), I haven't attempted washing it or anything yet. Still looks brand new and I've had it for about four months.
All in all I highly recommend this product. Order in advance m the shipping can take a while, but it is well worth it.
Edit 6/10/2013
I've had this backpack for just about a year now. I've taken it with me everywhere. I've even been using it for light travel. Nothing has torn, nothing has ripped. Everything still looks fairly new. (And this is after I brutally drug it through a dusty canyon)
During finals, I maxed the crap out of this backpack with equipment, and still had room to spare. Camcorder, camera, wacom tablet, nexus 7, 15 inch laptop, 3DS, safely stored safey goggles in the sunglasses compartment, game controller, loads of pens, and arts supplies in the front pocket, 2 one inch thick textbooks, and up to 4 notebooks (bounded). I could have possibly fit even more. The weight was tremendous, yet I didn't experience excruciating back pain as the weight is distributed well. The straps can help move some of the weight to your center. The strain of all this weight for my previous backpacks would have left them in shreds by the end of the week (I mainly used Swiss backpacks through high school).
The backpack is easy to surface wash, and the color I purchased (cereal) shows little dirt. I accidentally got melted crayon on it at one point, but that all came out without an issue with just a warm wet cloth, same goes with pen markings.e
The only issue is the soft material that lines electronic pockets has began to wear down. That's really it. If you have electronics that have exposed screens, such as a tablet, then I would eventually get a case for it, just to be extra careful not to scratch the screen. (I still don't use a case for my laptop, as the built in sleeve still works wonderfully)
Now let me just say that after I while, I tend to get very rough with my backpacks. It's typical for a backpack to last me just over a semester before I end up using a cheaper, and even worse quality bag to get me through the year. I throw them on the floor, sit on it, grind it up on cement, load it up with as much crap as possible, sling it around everywhere, jog with it, brutally shove sharp notebooks in, you name it. However, despite all the abuse, this backpack still looks brand spanking new, and I am not purchasing a new bag for the next academic semester. This is the first time I've ever had a bag that will probably last me 2, even 3 or more years. The material they use is of very durable quality, and the stitching is just beyond impeccable.
I'll be uploading pictures of my bag so check them out.I ordered this backpack because I am deployed and I needed something that I could carry my whole day around in. This fits the bill just right. I am a female of smaller stature so I also wanted something that I could lug around comfortably. The should straps are comfortable and have a good bit of padding and I am sure when I get home that I will use the phone holder on one of the straps. I like that the computer compartment is separate from the main compartment and I really like the side zip option. I have 15" computer and there is more than enough room, plus all the compartments are lined with a soft liner that is anti-static. I love that. There is plenty of padding in the computer compartment and I don't feel like my computer will get damaged when I set it down and swing the backpack around. There are two nice compartments in front of the main compartment to hold all my gadgets, cords, pens, lotion, external drives, etc. There is also a small compartment at the top, near the handle, that holds my mouse. It is a well made product. The zippers are smooth and the stiching is very nice. I really think this backpack will last me for the rest of my life. I am not kidding, it is really well made and I am very hard on backpacks, especially in this environment. The product was shipped to my house, they won't ship to an APO, bummer, but it arrived there in a timely manner.

I'm a college student who was looking for a light, comfortable, durable, and spacious backpack. I initially got the Newt II Mono, but ended up getting this backpack because the Mono was hurting my neck. I love this bag it's pretty much the perfect backpack for what I need.Light definitely. The sternum strap helps distribute the weight more evenly and that in combination with the two shoulder straps (as opposed to the Mono's one strap) let me load this bag up with a ton of stuff and still feel light. Now if this thing had a waist strap it would be epic but it'd probably look dumb. Hey, aesthetics are important too, right?
Comfortable absolutely. I think someone mentioned the padding was cheap I politely beg to differ. My bag looks nothing but premium and feels accordingly. I walk around all day with a ton of stuff in this bag and get almost zero back pain (I carry a ton of stuff so it's inevitable).
Durable yup. Both the Ogio Newt II Mono and the Newt II S are made of the same nylon-synthetic-ballistic-whatever material, and the stitching is top-notch. Again, like the Mono, I would have liked a skid layer on the bottom, but the material is thick and strong so I'm not too worried.
Spacious dude. So many pockets. So much space. I can carry a 1" textbook, two notebooks, my tablet, my netbook, my lap desk for my netbook, all my electronic accessories (chargers, headphones, etc.)...and still have some room. It's ridonkulous.
The bag does everything I need and more, and it looks sweet. Totally worth the $70 I paid for it.

Very thick, very stiff, and worst of all, poorly made: seams do not match, sewing is sloppy, threads are everywhere that were not cut off, and the inside cell phone pocket is upside down... in fact that whole panel inside was put in upside down which makes one of its nice features totally useless. And this is supposed to be a high quality product! I don't think so. Strap is nice and long and zipper fobs are nice quality with the brand name on them. Obviously I got a defective item though no real fault of the shipper. I have reordered a black one and will update the review when I get that one.I got the black one and it is a world different. It is nicely made, softer, no threads, all pockets and zippers are correct. So I have upgraded my rating to 4-stars.

I bought this for my daughters HP Ultra sleek notebook and it perfectly. She uses it to protect the outside case and puts it inside another bag to carrry to school.Fun, reasonably priced, and well sewn. I wish the foam was a bit thicker, but it seems like it should last for a while and the fur won't come off. It's a cute casethe zebra design is fun and it's not too furry (to the point where it's shedding on everything). The only problem with the case is it's very thin. This did not bother me, however as I'm just using it to keep small scratches from appearing on my macbook. It fits perfectly and is not too loose (I have the new white macbook) and the zipper opens smoothly. In certain light the zebra stripes have a purplish hue but it doesn't look bad.JanSport Overexposed Backpack, Fluorescent Pink

Secondly, even with the big pack (the one with the wheels and handle) fully loaded, when you load the front small backpack, it will fall over when you try to let it stand on its own. I didn't even take the tag off, this one's going right back.Bought this for my son so he could carry school books in one part and other stuff in the outer portion. Thought he could zip off the one part and put it in his locker but it doesn't fit. The bigger issue though is that the weight inside the outer portion weighs it down and it drags. It wore a hold right through the bottom in the FIRST WEEK. Great idea went south. I regret taking a chance on such an expensive back to school purchase.

Dadgear Backpack Diaper Bag
After conducting extensive diaper bag research, I found a bag that either parent could carry (a definite plus, as some diaper bags are "girly"), with organization to spare, plenty of room, plus an ergonomic backpack design that makes it easy to manage the kids while out and about: the Dad Gear Backpack Diaper Bag.
Can't say enough good things about this bag! First, the wipes are easily accessible without even opening the pack, via a flip-down compartment on the outside. Genius! Second, there is a pocket for diapers that's on the very top of the bag, so you never have to dig around for them. Next, there are two deep side pockets (one on each side), and I routinely fit four cans of premade formula on one side, and a bottle on the other side with a zip-lock bag of extra drop-in bottle liners. Then there are two mesh pockets on the outside of the bag, perfectly sized for a sippy cup or spare bottle (or even my own water bottle)
There are two organizational pockets in the front, one of which I use to store diaper supplies (lotions/creams, changing pad, extra wipes, hand sanitizer and the like), and the other I use for crayons, books, and a zip-lock bag with a bib and baby spoon.
Finally, there's a huge middle pocket, which I use to store a spare outfit for each child (right down to the socks, in case of catastrophe), snacks for the toddler, baby food for the baby, toys, coloring books, board books and a few other odds and ends that make life easier.
This bag is comfortable to carry, as well. We live close to Disney, and have used it on our frequent, all-day park excursions. The straps and the design of the bag make it easy to manage, and I highly recommend it to parents with more than one child!
Worth the money! Daddy will thank you. Comfortable, lots of pockets, lost of room for 2 babies in diapers. The built in wipes dispenser is great read the instructions before you try to put it together.
Just a good bag.
It may say dadgear, but 100% of the moms I am married to say its good enough to be momgear.

My son recently hit 2 and we have another on the way so I set off in hopes of finding a diaper bag that would accommodate 2 kids. We decided to look for a backpack style diaper bag so our hands would free to wrangle the 2 year old. I'm surprised by the lack of selection of diaper backpacks. In my research it came down to this one, an Okatots bag that folds open like a cabinet and a Ju ju be backpack. I could never get my hands on any of them in advance and just had to go off of pictures online. I didn't think my husband would ever agree to carry the Okatots or Ju Ju be bags so we went with this one.Other reviewers have called into question the durability of the bag materials. I'l agree with them to an extent. This bag does not have the quality fabric or zippers that you'd find on a Jansport, North Face or Kelty backpack. I'd say it's made of the same materials as you'd find on a $40 backpack. I don't expect the bag to last 10 years, but it should easily last a few years as long as you're not hauling around 30 lbs of stuff in it constantly.
The back and straps are lightly padded and comfortable. The mesh pockets on the side easily hold a water bottle or sippy cup, but the size zip bottle pockets slide down behind the mesh side pockets. If you had a bottle loaded in that side pocket it would push out toward the mesh pocket and make the side pocket hard to use. The diaper wipes dispenser on the front is really convenient to get in and out of. The bag has 3 main pockets and then the diaper canopy on top. We use the front pocket for Mom & Dad's stuff. It has 2 tall mesh pockets in it. The second pocket again has the 2 tall mesh pockets, but then it has an additional inch of space in that pocket so you can fit lots in there. We pack in plenty of snacks of the day and just slide the juice boxes into the size zip pockets. The main compartment is plenty spacious, the size zipper pockets do take up space on the side if they're filled and the diaper canopy comes down into this main compartment. That said, there is still plenty of room. We keep a packing cube with a full spare outfit for my son, his hoodie, his favorite stuffed animal, and can still stuff his winter coat (3T), hat and mittens in here. The diaper canopy on top is a nice touch for keeping diapers close at hand, we just throw our diaper cream right in there along with the diapers to keep it accessible.
Overall, I'm happy with the bag and I think it's the best of the limited selection of diaper backpacks available.
**Update 2/19/13 After 1 month's use**
This bag has gone almost everywhere with us over the last month and I LOVE IT!! It's comfortable to wear, holds a ton of stuff and is very easy to get in and out of. I wish I'd bought it 2 years ago. It feels light even when it's loaded down with a day's worth of supplies. The front dispensing wipes are so convenient to grab for a quick clean up of dirty hands or a runny nose. I'm not as concerned about the quality of the bag as I was a month ago, it's holding up very well and I can't find any weak spots.
My only complaint on the bag is the lack of a separate pocket for the diaper changing pad. You can either put the pad in the 2nd pocket from the front which has a good extra inch of space in front of the mesh pockets, but that's where we store snacks so I'm not sticking it in there. We keep ours in the main compartment with the spare clothes and bigger items.
All in all, I'm incredibly happy with this bag and I'm moving it from 4 stars to 5 stars.

This bag is designed great. It holds everything you need and then some. However the construction is really poor. We purchased the bag in June 2010 and it already falling apart. Both my wife and I use the bag. We are not rough with the bag. The inside linner is shredding in several of the pocket areas. The stiching is seperating on the the outsided pockets. For the price the bag should last longer. I can understand the outside getting beat up. But, the inside should not be falling apart.

I purchased this product to travel to Spain with my 1 year old. The interior contraction is inferior and cheap. The diaper changing "pad" is a piece of nylon. I had to use the changing pad from my JJ Cole bag.The main compartment was not big enough to fit my ergo when all the other pockets were occupied.
I did like the separate compartments for drinks, but quickly learned it was not water proof.
The diaper wipe compartment on the outside was handy, but rarely will you find a diaper changing area that supports your child & this big bulky bag ( if it is full), so you still have to remove wipes prior to a change.
The biggest problem with the bag is that the snack compartment tore on the second day of use.
THANK GOODNESS TO for allowing me to return the product after the 60 days. (we purchased early to make sure we were set for trip)
They said they would only exchange product if they found manufacturing defect.
So, a big thumbs down for a really expensive bag.
