URBAN TRANSPORT 50OZ/1.5L BLACK
Jan 14, 2013 Update, I was looking through backpacks for an upcoming trip to Thailand that my wife is making. I had a good look at my sons Camelbak and you know what? Apart from a little dirt here and there it's still going strong. All stitching and zippers are like brand new, no wear spots, and if this thing keeps going he'll probably end up using it for college. I can't say enough about how pleased I am he hasn't been able to kill it. I highly recommend this backpack. So choosing a backpack is pretty tough. There are so many brands out there plus even when you look at camelbaks, there are dozens of styles and types. I chose this one because I needed laptop storage and wanted an every day carry pack. I looked at the urban assault but decided I wanted one that wasnt so big and bulky. Another tough thing is that very few stores carry these tactical camelbaks its not like you can just go see it in person. You have to rely on video reviews and online research. After carefully considering my options and double checking my storage needs, I went with this bag. It has plenty of storage and pockets for anything you will need on a day to day basis. The resevoir is smaller than the standard camelbak one, but it does ok for day to day, this is not a hiking pack. Camelbak quality is unsurpassed and im glad I went with this model. The only thing that is a bit of a bummer, which is not like camelbak to do, is that if you choose to keep the resovoir in the main pocket and go with over the shoulder with the hydration tube, there is no small hole between the large compartment and the outside, so you have to just leave zipp around the tube, which works, but it would be ideal if it had that passage for the tube, Overall a great pack and the laptop protection is very good.

Great bag.It has ample space while not being overwhelmingly big. I would recommend this for others looking for a big bag with useable pockets

This is my favorite camelbak pack. I have the HOGG and BFM as well. The reason I like this pack the most it is that the water bladder is held in one of the side pockets, which frees up the space normally used for a water bladder to be used as a waterproof laptop compartment. In most of the other packs, I would have to put my laptop in the main compartment when carrying a water bladder. Although because of this location it carries a 1.5 Liter bladder while other packs of its size carry a 3 Liter.
Highly recommend this pack

I've had this thing for a couple of months and it still looks brand new. I don't use the hydration pack, but it's cool that it matches. The laptop compartment is perfect for my 15.6" laptop and the padding is adequate. It's risen a little off the bottom of the backpack so when it drops the laptop won't hid the ground first. However, this only really works if there's something like books in the larger compartment to break the fall.I've used it for carry-on and daily use just lugging stuff around. It's not comfortable unless you get the straps set up just right, but once you do it works well enough. The sternum strap is especially nice because it's elastic on one side.
It has plenty of room for books and a great organizer compartment. The "hidden pocket" isn't hidden at all unless you cut the paracord off the zipper, but that makes it harder to open. The side pockets are huge and fit the 1 liter Camelbak bottle perfectly. Overall it the best backpack I've ever had and it looks like it's built to last a lifetime.

Maxpedition Rollypoly Backpack
I highly recommended the Maxpedition Rollypoly Backpack.I used this to tote stuff around in Europe. I wanted something cheap that would carry some guide books and a sweater and cameras. It was lightweight, which was awesome, but the straps hurt my shoulders after a few hours of wearing it. And I wore it for 10 days. So that part is a bummer. It's why I docked it stars. And I would be better if they could throw in at least another inside zippered pocket, but it wasn't that big of a deal. It held up perfectly and folds down and stores nicely.

I commute with bike, rain or shine. Usually no bags, I pretend I do not need them. Then I stop to get a cup of coffee or something, and see a book I want, few magazines I end up buying even I really don't need them, buy some fruit or socks or some chocolate that were in sale and I just had to get those... out comes the RollyPoly.I only wish it was a little bigger. Well, twice the size really, so I could roll up my heavy leather jacket in it, or fit my 3/4 sized large helmet in it. Then it would be just perfect. Still I do like my tiny backpack, and have it attached to my handlebars or on the sidestrap of my jacket, just in case. And those cases come up every now and then. Ended up getting one for my friend too, he saw mine in action, compared to his clunky tank-bag and was sold.
Beautiful product even on the small side, then again it does fold in small too, nice and neat, and rugged enough for my abuse. Yes, one can get cheap backpacks for kids for a few bucks from your local *mart, but not quite the same thing. I'm keeping mine and looking forward for bigger versions!Maxpedition makes top notch products and this one is no exception. I use it as an emergency backpack that I keep in my car. The straps are thin, but its great for what I need it for.Well designed and constructed. It'sonly negative(due to the fact I'm a big, fat, broad shouldered guy) it could a slight larger bag , and longer straps. Then it would fit larger guys, like me, perfectly.
Powerbag Rolling Office Case with Battery for Charging Smartphones, Tablets and eReaders (RFAP-0018
Then, because I missed my connection back home and was stuck overnight in a Denver hotel without my checked luggage, I learned two more things: Make sure to get a bag with space enough for an extra change of clothes, toiletries, and medicine. And make sure I have a way to charge my iPhone and iPad--both of which went dead overnight as I realized I had packed my charging cords in my checked and unavailable luggage.
This Powerbag fits all my newly learned criteria. It rolls, with a telescoping handle (though I hope the aluminum handle proves strong enough). It has several separate zipped compartments, including a padded one for a laptop and a large one suitable for overnight needs. And it has a rechargeable battery that can charge iPhone, iPad, and other electronic devices. A variety of connectors come with it.
If I had had this Powerbag during my recent West Coast trip, my misadventures would have been far more manageable. I'm glad I found this product, both for my next trip and for my daily commute to my office.I was looking for a "gadget" for my gadget-guy husband. This is, to be blunt, the gadget-person's ultimate "gadget holder". My husband had never seen one -didn't even know he wanted it but he LOVES it.
There is nothing like the feeling of being able to **SURPRISE** a gadget loving person with a gadget they didn't even KNOW about!!! The idea of having not only a case to carry ALL his devices, BUT having a battery source so easy to transport and plug in anywhere is GREAT. He can get all his "stuff" (err ... wait a second -what's in my purse is "stuff" ... what's in his case are his "devices" -*rolling my eyes* LOL) he can get all his "devices" into work, and yet plug it in and they're all right next to him but charging!!
He can "carry" it or "roll" it -whatever works best in that particular situation (he has to climb some stairs and bumping it on steps wouldn't be good but it's easy to pick up and carry because the handle collapses.I just took my first business trip with this bag. The one thing it's missing is what it needs the most: the strap across the back that allows you to slide it over your rolling suitcase's handle so it rests on top of it. How can they design such a useful bag and leave off this simple but necessary feature? It makes it very difficult to travel with. I will use it much less because of this, unfortunately. I may even return it.I originally bought the powerbag backpack at Costco, but I had way too much to carry and it got super heavy. The powerbag rolling office is a major improvement. I really like the fact that it charges devices plus it is super roomy and smooth rolling. I teach at a trade school, so I have lots of paperwork and tools to carry. No complaints, I would purchase this again! The charger for the ipad doesnt work. I guess i should contact the company to complain about this before I really give the entire purchase a low score...
But other than that as a bag it is great. great for travel and storage as it has so many pockets of every size and in varying compartments.
It seems to be of relatively sturdy constructions and the wheels are strong and seem to be able to handle hard services .
The brain behind the placement of the wiring, charging cords is suspect as the obvious Ipad storage area is not where the charger is and so you cannot place your charger in the bag to store and charge at the same time. Just not smart!!!!
Overall the bag is a great idea, very convenient and great for leisure, , work , travel and just basically charging your electronics when other sources are not available.
Eagle Creek Pack It Shoe Sac
Pros:
1) Waterproof
2) Efficiently holds dirt within the bag
3) Durable
4) I like using the handle
Cons:
1) Zipper Placement I think the zipper would have been better placed along one of the long edges of the bag rather than down the middle. If this were done, dirt could quickly be removed form the back. In it's current placement I have to turn the bag inside-out to remove the dirt. I love all the Eagle Creek pack-its. I use everything they have and everything is organized. This case can fit 2 pairs of smaller shoes like loafers, sandals, or sneakers. For running shoes or heavy hikers, only one pair.

Shoes, shoes shoes!!! I have them and I take along at least 15 pairs when I'm off to holiday!Make these shoe sacs a must-have, no more dirty clothing, they easily hold more than one pair of shoes (think stockings, belts and other accessories) and are double-sided so you can even put wet items in them with no fear of soiling other items in your luggage!

Quality: Seems pretty good so far.Characteristics: Nice that you can see enough to know what's inside but it's not fully-transparent. The fact that it is waterproof is great because you don't have to worry about wet or dirty shoes destroying anything else in your suitcase/bag. Also great that it has a carry-handle (it's the little things that make it work for me)
Size: I am a men's 11-12 depending on the shoe and I find that my smaller dress shoes fit just about right but anything bigger will either not fit or get seriously squished inside when traveling. I often have to put shoes heel-to-toe like in a shoebox which is fine but they still get squished in just a few hours. I really can't imagine how people are fitting more than one pair in these bags, but I suppose it' possible since they are indicating much smaller sizes. It would be nice if Eagle Creek made a larger size; I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
Hard decision to knock two stars for the size issue: I'm not a fan of people who rate low because they can't read, or because of something not inherently "wrong" with the product itself. This product is good for smaller shoes. That being said, however, I decided to knock two stars off in the end since the issue here is that Eagle Creek did not clearly mention that this was for smaller sizes only in their specs. I feel the manufacturer should clearly state that and not force customers to rely on reviews to find that out.

This Eagle Creek Pack-It is really a nice looking and quality shoe sac.I always carry an extra pair of sports shoes with me and as this is waterproof, it does create a pretty good "odor" barrier as well so I can finally pack my shoes inside bag neatly rather than in several plastic bags and instead of stuffing them in the outside pocket which makes for a very lumpy and frumpy looking bag as well as making the bag much larger.
I only gave it 4 stars because I just don't see why for $13. they couldn't have made this Sac just a little bit larger. My sports shoes are only a men's 8.5 4E and they just fit in there, on their sides, and the bag just barely zips closed...no way they fit laying side-by-side which would make the space the Shoe sac takes up a little less thick and easy to compress a bit.
I can fit my swimming shoes and sandals in it and it still has the length limitation but both pairs of these fit nicely (size men's 9).
I also bought the (3) nylon shoe bags for $8.29 at the same time (nylon travel shoe bags set of 3 now $6.64) Nylon Travel Shoe Bags Set of 3
They are sized about the same once closed with the drawstring (I will be adding one of those pinchy backpacking things to keep them closed more easily and tightly).
I really like the look and convenience of the Eagle Creek Shoe sac. The materials seem very durable. Time will tell. The handle is a great addition.
Case Logic SSMA-311 Welded Sleeve for 11-Inch MacBook Air and Ultrabooks up to 11.6-Inch (Black)
The quality of material seems to be very good for this price range. Recommended !!I like this case. My MacBook fits perfectly and feels secure. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it has a flap on top that folds over when the case is closed (seems to provide some sort of seal) and the flap is stiff and awkward to fold. I'm hoping it will become easier with use.I have had this for quite a while now and it has worked extremely well for me. I can even put this in another computer case that I have (with handles) for longer trips. My 11-inch MacBook Air fits snugly inside. The velcro closure is tight, and there is almost no gap in the top of the envelope. The pouch is slim enough that I can slip it into my briefcase or backpack.
Jeep 3-In-1 Backpack Harness
Now my daughter has inherited both the Monkey and the Jeep backpack. We took the leash of the backpack so she can use itand she loves it. (Thus the 2nd star.) We use the monkey when we need a harness.
Oh, and the strap that holds the leash on was almost pulled off when we got itand I know my friend barely used it. So even if I did want the leash, it wasn't going to last anyway. I strongly recommend a different harness product.

My daughter is convinced this is coo. I dont know what the general public thinks but it works for us.This has been a life saver. My son recently went on his first plane ride and this was great for the airport while waiting for our flight. My son got to walk around and stretch his legs before and after sitting on a long flight but provided the safety of keeping him close and controlled. He really didnt mind it much which was great and was perfect size for holding his snacks and sippy cup for the plane ride. Plus got lots of comments from people liking it and wanting to know where I got it. It is a little more descrete compared to typical leashes.I love the backpack harness i got for my son. I recently took him to San Francisco there are big crowds and my 4 year old likes to run off sometimes. The harness was great didn't have to worry about him running off i give it 5 stars.Le Donne Leather Four Compartment Waist Bag

I recently used it to take a 3 day trip. I had clothes, my IPAD, a few files, a point and shoot camera, all my chargers and my cosmetic bag. There was a compartment for everything and I could find everything easily.
It is sturdy, well made, and easy on the back or shoulder too. My niece pointed this pack out to me. I wished I had discovered it sooner. It is my travel gear of choice now. They really thought of everything when designing this one. I have storage for all of my peripherals, the pack is comfortable, and priced great.

I love this Backpack, it's my second Metro Backpack and i can carry my laptop, a lot of audio gear and most important of all: a bottle of water! heheMy first Metro was a black one, and the only difference from this is that the black one was made from ballistic nylon, but it did'n t last very well. This new Metro, (Petrol) is made from a more rugged fabric that i hope is stronger. But for me, these Metro backpacks are the greatest backpacks around today.

I ordered this item after seeing one at a local store. Not wanting to pay the high price I came online and found just what I wanted. When I recieved the backpack, it was exactly what I wanted. Room for everything I need to carry, comfortable straps, and a nice look.I know, it's a girl thing (I'm 52, and a feminist, so I can say that!) Regardless, I love this backpack! It's nice quality and is a good size for her. It's not flimsy. It's a tiny bit big but I wanted something she could use until she's 5. She needs a bag for her clothes at preschool in case she has an accident. (and for those moms who know a 2 year old can come in many different sizes, she's long and lean at 26 pounds).
We'll also be using this for weekend camping trips.A medium size back pack for preschool or kindergarten. It has a side pocket for a water bottle, not included.

Everki Advance Laptop Bag - Briefcase, Fits up to 18.4-Inch (EKB407NCH18)
ASUS G Series G73
ASUS G Series G73JW
ASUS G Series G73JW-XN1
What bag will we use, and will we be able to back up our power supply?
I bought this bag with the aforementioned laptop. I can carry the laptop with a little bit of room to spare (in the main compartment). I can also pack in the power supply (front pocket) and my Kindle also with a 400 page 'real book'
This is the smallest bag I would buy for the Ausu G73. If you need bigger there is another one by Everki on this website.I can't begin to tell you how many hours I spent looking for a bag that would hold at laptop this large. I could not find any backpack that I trruly felt was a guaranteed fit. Let's face it, laptops with 18.4+ screens really are desk-top replacement computers (DTRs). My machine really won't be hauled around very much simply because it is so large, I have a 15" laptop for trips, but I did still need a carry case.
The Everki Advance is nothing fancy to look at. Rather plain in fact, but you really don't want to advertise that you are carrying an expensive computer in what could easily pass as a canvas briefcase.
The laptop compartment is top loading. The case does NOT open up clam shell style. The opening is sufficiently wide enough that it is easy to access. Unless you laptop is grossly thick, there is also room in that compartment for papers or folders but there is not a separator such as a nylon barrier that would keep any additional items from rubbing against your laptop. The zipper is high quality with adequately sized metal sliders with built in locking loop. This compartment is sufficienty padded, but I wish computer bag makers would put double padding across the bottom and the near bottom sides of bags. Come on, that's where the impact will most likely happen. I will probably find some dense foam and create my own extra layer of bottom cushion.
One side of the case has a zip open storage compartment that has five pockets for organizing small items as well as two pen slots. This compartment could be used for USB drives, external storage devices, power brick, etc. It opens up very wide, not access problems at all.
Then on the front side of the storage compartment there is a scoop slot pouch with a partial velcro closure that would be used for rapid access items. Perhaps a cell phone, car keys, passport, plane ticket, etc. The opening alone for this pocket is 9-1/2 inches wide, but the usable interior dimensions of this slot pocket are 12 inches deep and 15 inches wide. Everki did not waste space with this Advance Laptop Bag.
The interior and compartments are lined with an orangish nylon. It's not neon orange, but rather a brick-orange. I don't find this annoying, rather in dim lighting the orange coloring helps me find thinks that otherwise might be difficult like trying to find a small black USB drive in the bottom of an all black lined compartment.
The carry handles are a soft point. While they are strongly attached, the bridge of the handles are too soft and flexible. A more rigid design would actually be more comfortable to hand carry.
But when fully loaded, few people I would think will actually hand carry a heavy 18.+ laptop and all their gear. Thus the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap anchor points on the bag itself are strongly anchored, in fact rivited, and the fixtures are solid metal NOT plastic. Thank you Everki for the metal parts. The shoulder strap clips and hardware are also solid metal with a great feel and they don't appear as if they would accidentally be unclipped when attached. Not difficult to operate, but certainly secure. The strap is wide enough to match the bag and be able to carry the load and across the shoulder area itself is a curved ergonomic shoulder pad, another nice touch. I loaded up the bag and walked around for half an hour and yes it was heavy, but not uncomfortable.
Lastly, on the back side of the bag, opposite the accessory compartments, Everki has cleverly installed a sturdy 1-1/2 strip of straping with a 10 inch gap centered. That gap is for sliding the handle of wheeled luggage through. When not is use, the gap strap is held down with a 2 inch piece of velcro. Nice touch! Fits perfect on top of my American Tourister rolling carryon.
Overall, I am glad I found this bag. I set high standards and I like to project a quality image about myself, and this bag does nothing to reduce my image even as it really is pretty much simple and utilitarian. If you're in the 18.+ screen laptop arena, you're choices of bags are currently limited. I can recommend this one with no reservations.

This bag is GREAT! Great value for the money. The strap connections and zippers are great. The material looks great and seems very durable. The shoulder pad is actually padded, which is great. The orange interior makes finding things easy (which is great), especially compared to finding things in black-lined bags. And, the volume inside this bag is great. My 17.3" laptop has always seemed to stretch the corners of whatever bag I was using. I was always concerned about minor bumps against objects damaging the case. This bag is roomy enough to carry 2 computers, and the padding is excellent. No worries.
I will consider giving Everki bags as gifts to my friends and family.

I had a hard time finding a bag large enough for my giant sized laptop(Asus G74s). This one does the trick, and it's easy to access the laptop quickly. Plenty of room for power cord and small accessories. Amazon makes it a worry free purchase since the return method is so easy, but I will not be returning this item. I like it.
