11.6"" POCKETPRO NETBOOK CASE-PURPLE (COMPUTER ACCESSORIES)

11.6'' POCKETPRO NETBOOK CASE-PURPLEThis case is perfect. I just needed something streamlined to put my 11.6 Acer in, so that I could throw it in my bag without scratches. This case is perfect. It has straps inside and an oyster shell design so that the netbook can be used while in the case (though not for too long bc of overheating possibilities). The outer and inner pockets make the case extremely convenient, and I'm fairly certain this is the only case my netbook will ever need. The neoprene isn't overly thick, but I'm not planning on throwing my computer around recklessly, so I'm not looking for a battle-ready armored case. This case suits my needs exactly.

Great item for price. Fits 11.6 MacBook air almost perfectly and the outside pockets are an added plus. The case was shipped rapidly and received it in 4 days.

I bought this case for my 11.6" Acer Aspire One about a month and a half ago. The case protects my laptop really well, and the pockets are great for the accessories I have. I keep it in my backpack or carry it around for the most part, so I'm not sure if it would protect my laptop if I dropped it, but it's pretty cushioned. The only problem I've had so far is the rubber part of one of the zippers coming off, but I just duct taped it back on, so it's fine.

Have a small HP ENVY and struggled to find a small, but efficient case. This was great, works perfect and love the color !

Want 11.6"" POCKETPRO NETBOOK CASE-PURPLE (COMPUTER ACCESSORIES) Discount?

I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. I only needed a case in order to carry my new Asus 11.7" laptop around. I wanted something cute. I wanted something soft. I wanted something small.

This fit the bill perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased. The quality seems totally up to par. The front pockets look small, but it's neoprene, so they stretch like nylon. The cords, cards, mouse, and styluses fit inside the front pockets easily.

Do not, however, use your laptop while still in this case. It doesn't breathe.

Highly recommend for light use and storage.

Le Donne Leather Multi Pocket Back Pack

Le Donne Leather Multi Pocket Back Pack - TanThis backpack was even better in person. Leather was soft and just beautiful. Straps are sturdy and very well made. There was nothing negative about the bag. I love it!

This is an excellent general purpose backpack for my uses that vary from using it as a carry-on on airline travel to using it for hiking in the forests anywhere. It has many secure pouches and areas to hold passports, currency, etc. It is light in weight, durable and very well constructed. My only problem with this backpack is the fact that the main flap is secured with a magnet and being a male I am not gentle with it and it pops open for me sometimes. This unit replaced one that I've had for over twenty years so it had big shoes to fill ! I would buy the same unit again in a heart beat.

Great leather, pockets, and organization. Perfect for a plane or an excursion. Not bad as a daily bag as well.

Microsoft 15.6" Neoprene Laptop Sleeve

Microsoft 15.6' Neoprene Laptop SleeveI spent quite some time looking for a laptop sleeve that was sturdy enough to use alone and had handles. This is by far the best product I've seen.

It is super lightweight and feels more sturdy than other products (thanks to the "dimples"). It even holds a book with my 15.4" laptop. The orange trim adds a stylish touch.

I highly recommend this product.

I was having a hard time finding a neoprene sleeve that could fit my new Dell Inspiron 1520 15.4" laptop. I tried the Fellowes Body Glove 17" neoprene sleeve, but it wasn't tall enough. (The laptop comes with a thick, black plastic piece that protrudes from the top.) This Microsoft sleeve is a very snug yet perfect fit. It also has very good padding and helpful carrying handles. I'm glad that I finally found a sleeve that fits the laptop, protrusion and all!

This laptop sleeve is perfect for my Dell. It is perfect for business or pleasure. There is plenty of storage for what I use it for and it seems very durable. A more casual sleeve that I use is Laptop Sleeve 14 inch Neoprene Surf Art Style. This one has that great beachy feel and the artwork is very unique. This one turns heads wherever I go.

I got this sleeve for occasional travel with my Toshiba laptop. I passed through security in several airports without having to remove the laptop from the sleeve (which is a real bonus). There is not a lot of padding, so you definitely need to have it in another bag for full protection. It is a snug fit for my Toshiba Satellite 15.4" laptop. Definitely no extra room for anything besides the laptop.

Want Microsoft 15.6" Neoprene Laptop Sleeve Discount?

This just fits my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, which has a 15.6" screeen and dimensions of 14.7" x 9.6" x 1.7" (tapered to 1.0"). That's a relatively wide laptop; if it were any wider, the zipper would probably be strained. I would guess the sleeve could hold a laptop up to 14.7" x 10.4" x 1.8", but that's just an estimate as I haven't tried anything larger than mine. I can even fit my power adapter and laptop mouse in the sleeve, but just barely.

Bottom line: this is a lightweight, attractive, inexpensive, functional sleeve that will reasonably protect your laptop, as long as you don't need to carry anything else significant in it.

20 Inch Adventurer Sling Messenger Shoulder Single Strap Daypack Backpack Bag Navy

20 Inch Adventurer Sling Messenger Shoulder Single Strap Daypack Backpack Bag NavyThis is a very nice pack for a very low price. I needed a pack for day hikes with my dogs. All the gear I shopped was over priced and not what I was looking for. I settled for this pack because of the money. I'm glad I did. Very functional and good quality.

Whoever said that it can fit "Several large books" must really recalibrate their size scale because this backpack, is really small, if you are looking for something that will carry your shorts when you go to the gym then its for you, school stuff? stay away from this.

It feels cheaply make and the zippers came off on both sides (!) when i first pulled them.

Like the title of the product says, it is a daypack. It isn't meant for anything major and it is hardly meant to carry school books but it will do the job if you are just commuting on a bicycle. It has from what I remember 3 pockets on the main body, a small front pocket for your phone/mp3 player, and an expandable pocket for bottled water or an umbrella. There are some loose seams on this that you can just lightly burn closed but aside from that there are few if any complaints that one can make about this product. Considering the quality and price, this sling bag is a good deal.

This backpack is much better than I expected it would be for the low price. Extremely durable, roomy on the inside and a perfect size for my 9 year old son. He is happier with this backpack (which includes a small side pocket for an MP3 player and a hole for headphones) than he has ever been with any other backpack he has owned. I'll buy another one for next year! The manufacturer really thought about the end user on this one! Great buy!!

My son (14 years old) tracked this down on Amazon and I ended up buying through that route after a day shopping around Boston proved fruitless. My son was attracted to it being smaller and more compact than most of these single strap backpacks and over the last three months he has used endlessly including school and vacation. He is now asking me to get a spare for him before they run out of stock!

ful Brooklyn

ful Brooklyn 2-in-1 iPad/Laptop Backpack - BlackBecause I have a number of laptops and electronics I like to carry with me, almost daily, I was looking for a backpack that would allow me to carry my 15" Unibody MacBook Pro as well as my iPad 2. Based on the description of this backpack, I thought I found the perfect product. After receiving the product, I quickly realized that it isn't possible to use this backpack with the 15" MacBook Pro because it isn't large enough. Well, that isn't really the worst thing about this backpack. The other issue is that you aren't able to get as many accessories in the bag that would be considered a minimum requirement for power supply, external USB mouse, and other associated devices. Because I didn't pay as much for the backpack, I'm not totally disappointed but if I had paid full price for it, I would certainly return it.

I used this backpack for a couple of months, then gave it away and bought a Swiss Gear instead. This product has good iPad protection with a handy pocket that zips off to carry it in. I never actually used it. The main problem I had was there was very little storage space and very few pockets which for me is the whole reason to go with a backpack. The other minor flaw I found annoying was how narrow this pack is so that every time you set it down it falls over. I would reccommend this product as an alternative: SwissGear SA9769 Computer Backpack (Black/Light Gray)

I bought the backpack to carry more than just my notebook and iPad. I already have computer cases for that. I needed additional room for a Trapper Keeper notebook and 1-2 textbooks (but pencils, graphics calculators and other 'stuff'). This is a no-go with this backpack. It is simply way too small. You can expect to fit 1 binder and 1 large textbook and that it it. Like another reviewer, I gave it away and bought a larger Swiss Gear which has tons of room for everything.

So far I am liking this backpack. I have a 15.4" lenovo with a screen that measures 17" diagonal and a iPad 2. I could not get the laptop to fit in the spot where it goes. Very frustrating. The. I noticed at the bottom of the computer storage area was an extra padding with Velcro that I pulled out. There was still a padded area on the bottom below this area and the computer fit just barely.

The area where the iPad goes is nice. Keeps it from moving around at all. It just may need a little more padding at the front of that storage compartment. Also would have been nice If that compartment fit magazines. They can go in there but it will not zip closed. So you need to store your magazines in the big compartment.

Water bottle storage on one side is nice. Might be nice to have one on the other side also.

Pouches on the inside of big compartment are not very useful.

The detachable mini bag, while intended for tablets, is a perfect daybag for running around town. I put my Cocoon 'Grid-It' (7.5 inch x 10.5 inch) inside the mini bag, and it holds all my daily essentials wallet, smartphone, sunglasses, keys, hat, etc in place. When I go back to work Monday, I zip the mini bag onto the main backpack and head out the door. The main backback is solid. It holds my laptop plus coffee thermos, lunch containers, work papers, even gym clothes! And with room to spare. Unzip the side pocket for an umbrella holder. My one gripe would be the clear plastic film on the underside of the right arm makes the arm strap stiff and uncomfortable. Easy fix for this just use scissors to snip the plastic film off the arm and it will become flexible again. So, overall a well built bag with two-bags-in-one functionality you just can't beat.

Kelty Tactical Strike 2300 Backpack

Kelty Tactical Strike 2300 BackpackThis is a very well built and useful pack, and may surprise you at just how much it can hold. Based on the reviews I had seen online, I have to say it more than lives up to the positive reputation. I originally was using a Maxpedition Malaga to serve as a small BOB, but as I continued to collect smaller items here and there, I realized that the Malaga was just not suited for what I really had in mindwhich was a more comprehensive and extended-use BOB. The Kelty 2300 took all of the contents which had once maximized the space in my Malaga and still had plenty more room to go. The side pouches were very useful for quick access items and also provide a perfect fit for my Gerber folding shovel. There is a hole at the top to allow direct access to a hydration/water bladder and it comes with a strong support frame which is very comfortable, even with my 40-45 lbs of gear. The only downside from what I can tell is that it lacks the MOLLE attachments you see so often on 'tactical' backpacks these days, however, this did not prevent me from fitting all of my gear inside the pack. There are also lateral 'loops' on the backside of the pack which allow you to put a flashlight or other item for quick use, or attach a detachable small purposes med kit, etc. I don't mean to give a false impression of it's sizerelatively speaking it is probably more in the medium-sized range, but it may surprise you with just how much equipment it can accommodate comfortably.

Great bag for when the SHTF. Tough, well designed and proven.Top notch Kelty suspension system. It is a good 72 hour bag and it does not look particularly tactical (unless you get camo). I've got it packed up as a travel bag as I can get called out of town on short notice. Holds everything I need for a couple days away.

No molle on this bag so if you like to attach a lot of accessories your out of luck; but' if you want a nice tight streamlined bag you can move fast in check out this Kelty.

Osprey Kestrel 28 Mountaineering Backpack

Osprey Kestrel 28 BackpackThe Kestrel series are great packs with clever and useful features. The 28, however, has two problems that led me to exchange it for the new Manta 25 daypack: the Kestrel 28 is really only big enough for a day hike, but it is designed like a multi-day pack. By this I mean it has few access points (the only zippered pouch is behind the top of the pack (i.e., against the back of your head!)and the main compartment is very long and narrow with a drawstring opening that makes it difficult to get things in-and-out (acceptable if you're just hiking from campsite to campsite, but on day hikes I tend to access the pack quite often). The other problem also concerns the length of the pack -it is very long and has no internal support, so it is essentially a big noodle. I have also read reviews indicating a painful fold develops in the lower back region if the pack isn't fully loaded. If you want a good daypack, look at the Manta series first. These have the innovative features of the Kestrel (sto-&-go trekking pole attachments, integrated raincover, hipbelt pockets, hydration)in a more conventional day pack design. The Kestrel does have twin daisy chain attachments vs a single centered daisy on the Manta, if hanging things on the pack is important to you.

I was looking for a daypack, and I have a small frame. I needed something light, super-compressible, yet able to hold a full day's basic gear like extra clothing, food, lighting, and raingear. Throw in a hydration pack, and it's full up.

Highly recommended. It's durable, has a built-in raincover, and the Osprey hydration pack (1.5L) fits perfectly. I'll never want another small bag.

Also, it's fully adjustable. I was unsure about this at first, I didn't trust the funky velcro, but it's proven to be a solid feature.

I get asked about this bag ALL the time, and always recommend it. Be careful with the straps at the airport though, they have a habit of getting caught in the rolly things at the x-ray.

Bottom line: I don't recommend this pack. Read on if you want details.

My favorite day pack finally gave up the ghost. I have an Osprey Talon 11 for mountain biking, which is the best bike pack I've ever owned (I've used a ton of day packs & bike packs over the years). It has good features and (remember this point) it easily accommodates a 100 oz. Camelbak bladder. After research & review I bought a Kestrel 28 for backcountry hiking and peak climbs. Have used it on 10 long day hikes so far (15 20 miles / day, usually above tree line). It's comfortable for long hikes, which is a plus. On balance, though, it has some features that offset the comfort. First, it's tough to get a 100 oz. Camelbak bladder into the hydration pack slot. Yes, I know Osprey sells a specially designed bladder for its packs, but I'm not impressed when a gear company expects you to buy everything from them, instead of making their gear compatible with other widely used components & systems. In order to get the non-Osprey bladder to slide in, I basically have to empty out the pack first a PITA if you are working in the dark or in foul weather. Even then, the fit is tight enough that I have concerns that loading the pack to capacity might produce a seam blowout on the Camelbak bladder. Keep that in mind unless you want to buy a special bladder just for this pack. Second, the Kestrel 28 is a top loader, which is fine, but I prefer top loaders with a top pocket large enough to hold several items so that you don't have to dig into the pack every time you want something. This pack actually has two top pockets-but both are very small and don't add up to much. My work-around is to put all my regular top-pocket items into a smallish stuff sack and carry it in the large compartment of the pack. This works ok, but consumes extra time and is just one more thing to manage on the trail or the climb, and could so easily have been designed better by Osprey. Third, the hip belt is really just another narrow chest strap located around your lower abdomen. It doesn't take weight off your shoulders, but it's worth keeping fastened to keep the pack stable on your back. However, the buckle components are not sewn into place at the strap ends, so they slide around and it's hard to close the buckle just by feel. In the store or when you strut around at home with your new pack this is no problem. If you are trying to fasten the hip belt in the dark, or in hail and snow, maybe with a few layers on including gloves and shell mitts, you will be wishing Osprey had eliminated the yards of extra strap material and other useless features in favor of a decent hip buckle. Overall: For the casual, fair-weather day hiker this pack would be just fine (although a bit expensive for that limited purpose imho). If you are more aggressive in the backcountry and expect your gear to work *for* you, though (instead of the other way around), I think you can do better in this price range.

Ogio Metro Backpack - 711105 Petrol

Ogio Metro Backpack - 711105 PetrolWonderful every day backpack as well as a pack to load up the weekend gear. Many pockets for electronics small and large. There's a place to put files as well as clothes. It even has a lined zippered pocket for an MP3 where an ear bud can feed through, and another lined pocket for jewelry or other valuables.

I recently used it to take a 3 day trip. I had clothes, my IPAD, a few files, a point and shoot camera, all my chargers and my cosmetic bag. There was a compartment for everything and I could find everything easily.

It is sturdy, well made, and easy on the back or shoulder too. My niece pointed this pack out to me. I wished I had discovered it sooner. It is my travel gear of choice now.

They really thought of everything when designing this one. I have storage for all of my peripherals, the pack is comfortable, and priced great.

My first Metro was a black one, and the only difference from this is that the black one was made from ballistic nylon, but it did'n t last very well. This new Metro, (Petrol) is made from a more rugged fabric that i hope is stronger. But for me, these Metro backpacks are the greatest backpacks around today.

It's a lovely companion for my airplane travel along with one carry-on. (A very important cost-saver these days, sigh.) Were I a retailer in luggage, I would put this great bag on my shelf and keep it in stock!

Yens® Fantasybag Vital Children Backpack-Navy/Gray/Orange,CM-550

Yens® Fantasybag Vital Children Backpack-Navy/Gray/Orange,CM-550I ordered this bag for my 2 year old son. Its a tiny bit big on him still, but was one of the smaller ones I could find on amazon (13 inches tall). The fabric is easy to clean and the pockets do hold a lot. The only reason I didn't give that 5th star was because the silver loop on the top was not properly stitched on the top of bag. I just cut it off instead of sending it back.

Sumac Brand Macbook Air Mac 13-inch Carrying Case (Green) + SumacLife TM Wisdom Courage Wristband

Sumac Brand Macbook Air Mac 13-inch Carrying Case + SumacLife TM Wisdom Courage WristbandMy wife decided to go on an online shopping spree this past weekend, she bought a couple of cases for her MacBook Air but she's not the type of person to write reviews on products, but since I've gotten great help from reviews that I have read in the past, I decided to review this case as well as other cases I recently bought.

This sleeve has a very simple but beautiful design, it has two zipper heads that you can split when opening the sleeve, it's super thin and perfectly made for the Mac Air.

The extra stiching (across the front and back of the sleeve) gives it a very different look from other cases I've seen before, it also keeps the padding in place, which gives it a strong feel when holding it with the notebook inside.

One thing I notice was that it is advertised as Sumac brand but I noticed that the zipper heads have the "oO" logo on them which makes this sleeve a KroO brand, in my peronal opinion, that makes this case even better since I'm a big follower of the KroO brand (don't beleive me? check my other reviews)

Now the only problem I see that some people will find with this sleeve is that it has no extra compartments, but like I told my wife, one of the reasons why you bought the Mac Air in the first place was because of the thin design, Why bulk it up with an extra thick case full of compartments that you probably wont even use?

(Notice I used the same review for the other black case my wife bought, same case, different color)

The case fits the new Mac Air 13 inch perfectly. The two zippers go most of the way around allowing opening up of the case entirely for easy in and out. The ribbed padding provides sufficient protection for normal usage. The look is very nice. I could not be happier with the product and recommend it highly.

I ordered this case for my 2010 13" macbook air. The case is stiff, clunky, taskes up a lot of room (why have a macbook air if the case takes up as much room as a regular sized laptop), ill fitting (there is way too much room in the case for a macbook air), and not very protective (there is no padding where the zipper is, so the edges of the computer are completely unprotected). Since this case was such a poor fit for the macbook air, I ended up ordering an "Incase" 2010 macbook air case (zipper-less black neoprene sleeve with white fleece inside). I am very happy with the Incase case (I've reviewed that, too).

SwissGear Computer Backpack

SwissGear Computer BackpackI purchased this Wenger backpack bag over 2 years ago from a local Best Buy, and immediately loved it. The big problem (for me) with previous backpacks is all of the contents rest near the bottom of the bag (gravity in action). This bag however, offers 3 compartments for storing items such as keys, USB sticks, iPods, even heavy power adaptors in pockets "sewn" to the top. This results in a very balanced bag and quick access to items frequently used.

Although this bag is durable and travels well, over time and worldwide travel, the bag started looking a bit tattered. So I purchased a new one on Amazon (through samscause.org) expecting to get the same bag. However, Wenger has made several key additions and upgrades that make this bag even harder to beat.

Now, each compartment is fully lined. The bag now has a stiffer bottom allowing it to sit more upright. They've removed the useless waist belt, freeing up space and the annoying buckle in my lower back. The side zippered pockets are now much larger and more useful. The padded computer compartment offers much better protection and is more form-fitting. In summary, I got much more than I'd anticipated.

Finally, I've read other reviews that stated 15.4 wide-screen laptops don't fit. I have an HP/Compaq nc8230 business 15.4 wide-screen laptop, and it fits perfectly (14.1" x 10.1" x 1").

My only negative (not reflected in my rating) is I wish the bag was available in all black. Perhaps then it would appear a bit more "business-like" which is relatively important in my job. But every laptop backpack I've tried (including the $485 Tumi) doesn't offer near the functionality of this bag. So function wins over appearance in this case.

This is the first review I've ever written on Amazon. That's how impressed I am with this purchase and this backpack bag.

I want to preface this review by saying that prior to purchasing the Swiss Gear Synergy, I owned a Swiss Gear Maxxum pack for about two and a half years (see my review of that pack as well). I wore the Maxxum about 6 days a week, with a consistently very full and heavy load and was extremely satisfied. But, after 2.5 years, the shoulder straps started to show their age, and I decided it was time for a replacement. I knew before I began my search that my next bag would also be a Swiss Gear, and perhaps another Maxxum.

I visited a local store that had 5 models of Swiss Gear packs in stock (but sadly, not a Maxxum) and gave them all a good looking over for features and construction as well as a check for personal fit. I was quickly able to eliminate a few of the smaller models as they simply didn't have the raw storage volume I require for my daily load. The final three in contention were the Cobalt, Pegasus, and Synergy. I next eliminated the Swiss Gear Pegasus (a great looking bag) from consideration, for while it was clearly designed for carrying very large laptops (17"), aside from the computer, this bag was obviously meant to hold generally flat things. While I gladly would have paid the higher price for the Pegasus, it simply would not accept the larger and roughly cube-ish, cylinder-ish or sphere-ish shapes I often need to carry (camera bag, lunch, water, soup thermos and more).

In the end, I selected the Synergy, and I'm VERY glad I did.

DECIDING FACTORS

VOLUME AND SPACE USABILITY Of the bags I was considering, the Synergy has both the largest volume as well as the best configuration of that volume for my real world uses. Additionally, while several of the bags I was looking at had side zip water pockets, only the Synergy's felt generous enough to entirely contain a reasonably sized bottle when completely zipped. The total cubic capacity of this bag seems very similar to that of the Maxxum, but the pack has a more vertical and usable orientation of that volume. While the compartments of the Maxxum get shorter the further you move from the packplane of the pack, the Synergy takes very similarly sized compartments and arranges them such that they are in a taller, more back hugging overall shape. The Maxxum really sticks out quite a way when it's fully loaded, while the Synergy hugs your body more closely. I find this a great improvement.

BACK PAD VENTILATION Having humped the Maxxum around for the better part of three years, I know how well the design of the back pad moves air around your back. The Synergy has the same back pad as the Maxxum, and to me, that's a big plus. I've carried this pack, fully and heavily loaded for very long periods, both standing and walking, and it's always been comfortable, even on warm days.

DURABILITY The Maxxum and Synergy are very similarly constructed, and I can tell you that my Maxxum held up to very rough treatment for the full span of the two and a half years I had it. These are very tough bags, inside and out.

STRAPS while the straps were the first part of the Maxxum to "fail", I have to admit, with the load I put in mine, I fully expected the straps to have given out after about a year ... but they didn't. Not even after two years. Even at two and a half years, they hadn't exactly failed, they were looking pretty rough, and I decided to play it safe. I never weighed my pack full, but those who tried packing it often remarked 'What do you put IN this thing, bricks?' Well, a very heavy laptop + very heavy adapter + very heavy spare battery make up the worst of the load. Add in a camera, voice recorder, notepads, books, wireless mouse, lunch, assorted papers, vitamins, address book, keys, umbrella and more, and the bag gets very heavy. This size bag holds a lot, and if the straps aren't super strong, all that weight would rip them out by the roots (which has happened to me before with lesser bags). But not these straps. They're tough. As for those of you who prefer a waist strap, I've tried packs with them before and didn't like them for myself at all. This pack keeps the load right where I want it and keeps it comfortable for long stretches of time.

POCKETS After volume, durability and fit, it's all about the pockets for me. Like the Maxxum, the Synergy has a truly brilliant combination of pockets for those of us who have to carry a mobile production studio on our back. If all you have is a laptop and some flat notebooks, the Pegasus looks like an awesome pack, but if you need to stuff in gloves, hats, cameras, accessories, food, water and more, the Synergy is the pack to get. How many pockets? Oy ... let's count.

PC COMPARTMENT (closest to your back)

1) Main padded PC pocket(red) with securing Velcro strap. NOTE: When you open the compartment nearest your back, the PC pocket is located away from your back. This provides more buffer between back of pack and the PC ... I like that.)

2) Netted accessories pocket next to PC pocket

3) Open center area within PC compartment for papers or notebooks (against your back, providing potentially more padding)

SIDE COMPARTMENT LEFT

4) Zipper close compartment for water bottle

5) Netted open top stretch pocket, wrapping around zipper pocket

SIDE COMPARTMENT RIGHT

6) Zipper close compartment for water bottle

7) Netted open top stretch pocket, wrapping around zipper pocket (not for nuts ... the squirrels WILL find them and eat through the net :) )

Now, moving to the front of the pack and working our way back toward the PC pocket.

FRONT MOST POCKET

8) Small zip pocket could hold CD/DVD player, wallet, address book, calendar or similar sized object. Good for quick access items.

PERSONAL ACCESSORIES COMPARTMENT (2ND from front)

This area is designed to hold small personal items like pocket cameras, keys, business cards, pocket knife, loose small items, pens, pencils, etc. Red liner makes it easier to find small stuff when in low light.

9) Large zipper "pencil" pouch (a pack of 12 highlighters fits in there well)

10) Elastic Netted "camera" pocket (for pocket camera)

11) Velcro flap cover "Pocket knife" sleeve

12-16) 5 card/cardstack pockets

17) Key ring clip

18) Open area in front of smaller pockets for larger calendar, papers, etc.

SHIELD POCKET COMPARTMENT (3rd from front, with Swiss Gear shield facing front)

19) This single medium/large sized compartment is perfectly sized to hold my winter gloves, sunglasses in case, warm hat, hairbrush and umbrella accessories that I don't always need but REALLY want handy when the weather turns against me. Or in hot weather, this could hold a sun hat, shorts, t-shirt, flip flops etc. This compartment is tall, wide but not very deep, so it wouldn't work for a soup thermos, cubical lunch container, camera bag, etc., but for assorted flatter things 2-3" deep, about 10" wide and over a foot tall, it's perfect.

MAIN HIGH CUBE STORAGE (4th from front)

20)The main storage area within the 4th zip from the front is cavernous. I could easily fit my camera bag, lunch and a bunch of other stuff in here. Over a foot tall, about 4"to6" deep (depending on what you put in adjacent compartments), close to a foot wide, I also use it for spare clothes, jackets, towels or other bulky objects that need some serious room. This compartment allows this pack to be a really usable weekender, as it can hold spare clothes and personal accessories, while other compartments store the PC and tech gear.

21) Zipper net pocket good for small important things you don't want flopping around in this BIG main compartment. Easily holds 5"x7" sized papers/cards, wallet, small notebooks, etc.

22) Folder Pocket along the back plane of this large compartment, against the neighboring PC compartment, is a large open top pocket for papers or folders. If you need to keep something flat and the laptop area is full, this gives you another option.

TOP QUICK ACCESS POCKET RED LINED

23) One of my favorite features of this bag and the Maxxum is the top mounted quick access pocket, lined in bright red, which makes it easier to find small stuff in dim light. Great for small electronics, keys, cables, USB thumb drives, memory cards, or anything small that isn't sharp. The lining of this pocket is softer than some and I wouldn't put anything pointy in there. Keys, pens and mechanical pencils are OK, but nothing sharper.

24) Inner Velcro flapped pocket for MP3 player, cellphone or other small device. This pocket within a pocket keeps delicate electronics both secure and protected from metal items that might scratch them. I think this pocket is just a touch larger than in the Maxxum, probably to accomodate smart phones not just MP3 players.

NOTE: There's a grommet in the side of this pocket that allows headphone/earbud cables to extend out of a specially marked rubberized opening on the top/side of the pack.

That's 24 pockets/pouches/clips in all, which makes this backpack a real workhorse. One note of caution: Filled, this bag can be VERY heavy. The bag can take it, and I find the straps and back pad distribute the load very well and keep it comfortable for me. But I have read where some users were a bit overpowered by the weight this bag can hold. Keep that in mind when loading it up.

BOTTOM PROTECTION FROM WATER I spend a fair amount of time waiting for buses at bus stops in the Pacific Northwest, where the pavement is quite frequently wet. While most Swiss Gear bags do a nice job sitting up by themselves, of the ones I was considering, the Synergy had the best bottom protection against the wet. Some of the bags were only partially rubberized on the bottom, while one can safely place the Synergy on wet pavement and have total peace of mind.

When my wife and I are heading out for a day or weekend of creativity in the field, this kind of pack is a life saver ... PC, adapter, spare battery, 2 cameras, web access, digital voice/music recorder, notepads, markers, cables, snacks, water, cold or warm weather accessories, spare clothes/shoes and lots of small stuff all fit nicely into one pack that really distributes weight well and never digs or rubs in uncomfortable ways. A truly awesome pack I can highly recommend.

I was looking for the perfect bag to carry my books and laptop at college, and this is it! It's got a ton of pockets including room for a 15.4" laptop that straps securely in a padded pocket. Even with the laptop in the bag you can fit books and notebooks with no problem. I also carry around my AC adapter and a car charger with no worries. It's got a hard shell on the bottom of the bag to protect your computer from damage if it's dropped. You couldn't ask for more!

I read a few reviews which stated that there is no way that this bag will properly fit a 15.4" widescreen laptop. I just bought the bag and it fits my Dell Inspiron E1505 (which seems like a "full" sized 15.4" widescreen) easily.

I just wanted to set the record straight for anyone who is looking for a bag but afraid that their 15.4" widescreen won't fit. Unless you have some gigantic machine that I haven't crossed paths with, you'll be happy with this bag.

PS I first bought a OGIO Nyquist from eBags and found it to be a POS... unconfortable, HUGE, and my laptop didn't even fit into its ridiculous side zippered pocket.

I read hundreds of reviews for backpacks for my MacBook Pro 15". I bought this one after a lot of thought and comparison shopping.

I've had it since May of '07. I've used it for two week-long trips on planes and with lots of walking. I've used it for a 12-day conference on Stanford University's beautiful campus where I walked to every class/course and dining halls and events, etc. Typically I was carrying my laptop, a binder of papers, a notebook, pens, laptop charger, a sweater, calculator, ipod, phone, a few books, and some junk I carry around because I think I need to be like a boyscout and always be prepared for everything. Other than that, I've also used it to carry around my son's sports gear during a 2-day tournament along with things I needed to survive the 2-day event.

COMFORT

Incredibly comfortable. I hate carrying stuff around and yes, slung over one shoulder this thing is heavy. It's a big sturdy, well-crafted, back pack. It expands to atleast twice it's depth and holds a ton of stuff. BUT, once you actually put it on your back and fasten it and size it properly, it really doesn't feel heavy at all. I've walked miles and miles comfortably with it stuffed full.

BUILD

Very well built. I don't intend on taking care of it either but it still looks like it'll last years and years. Strong seams. Every place where rubber meets fabric and the zippers sewn in look made to withstand abuse and stress. It also held my laptop in place nicely. The laptop isn't position right against your back or on the outside layer so it has protection just by the nature of the laptop placement in addition to the padding provided.

LOOK

Looks like the pics. :)

FILLABILITY

Pack this thing full! I can put a 3-day weekend's worth of clothes, including extra shoes, and my toiletries (no bigger than 3 oz for flying!), a nice camera, hair dryer, etc. It has nice compartments for little things and bigger things. Has a cool mesh net zipped compartment for cables and such, and a special place for your mp3 player with a notch for your headphones.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Oakley Men's Bathroom Sink

Oakley Bathroom Sink Backpack Dark Red, One SizeThe way it's advertised as the Bathroom Sink misleads you to believe that it is very largs.... it is not. The side entry for the laptop is not so easy to get the computer in and out of. I will use for travel and expect it to last a long time, however I am sure I would not buy another like it as it is over priced for what you are getting.

The Bathroom Sink bag by Oakley is a great bag. As soon as I got it, I packed it up with all the contents that were overflowing my previous bag. Every item fit and is easily accessible

It is very suitable to my need for schooling. Cool looking. But, i thought it a canvas or khaki materials, little different.

I was looking at the Kitchen Sink in Ohare the last time i travelled through. I am really glad that i ordered the bathroom sink. It is already bigger than i need. My Dell XPS 1330 fits right in and is held snug. If i had the larger backpack, i think it would have sloshed around in there due to the larger size. This way it is held snug. There is plenty of room for cords, charges, pens, etc. I am a conservative packer, so i don't carry everything that i own, only what i need. This pack holds it all and then some. I have received nothing but compliments on the looks of the bag. I tell people it is a parachute they get kind of nervous, but it is fun to get some people riled up. Great bag. I highly recommend it.

This bag lasted four months before the stitches started coming out. Oakley is calling it wear and tear and will not warranty their cheap bag. I took it to a seamstress whom had no dog in this fight and she told me it was due to improper sewing of the seams. By the way, I have Walmart 20 dollar bags that have made it longer, so I contend that Oakley knows that this is trash and therefore will not warranty the item.

Condor Outdoor Commuter Pack, Color Olive Drab - 155Although a little small, this bag is perfect to take for a trip or to use as a bug-out bag. It's well padded, it's adjustable and there's tons of space to put things in.

15.6' Laptop Sleeve Neoprene Case Bag with Hidden Handle handbag for 14 15 15.6 14' 15' NotebookReally cute sleeve, but I was very disappointed when one of the handles broke only 24 hours after I started using it. I'm going to reinforce the rest so that I can get some use out of the bag, but buyer beware. I know the bag was inexpensive, but I had hoped to get at least a few months out of it before the handle gave way.

Ogio Cover Shoulder Bag for 13-Inch Tablet/Netbook, Black (111065.53)

Ogio Cover Shoulder Bag for 13-Inch Tablet/Netbook, BlackThis is an AWESOME bag.

Pros

Thin

Small

Properly fits an 11.6 inch laptop (mine is a Sony Duo 11)

Looks AWESOME

Great quality

Great material

Cons

The zippers are a bit HARD to use. They seem to be industrial made, VERY tough, but damn, hard to move the zipper.

LOVE THE BAG. You cannot go wrong with this bag if you have an 11.6 inch ultrabook

My 13 inch mac book fits perfectly in here with enough room in the other pocket for my charger and planner. I love how it looks and how light this bag is. The inside of the laptop compartment is padded to protect your laptop, which is essential. There are places for pencils, pens, etc. in the extra zip up pocket. The strap is comfortable and can be adjusted to whatever height you may need it at.

I'm giving this a five star rating because it does the job well, looks great, is light weight, and seems like it will last for a good while.

ASUS Republic of Gamers Shuttle Backpack for Laptop

ASUS Republic of Gamers Shuttle Backpack for LaptopComfortably carries all of my equipment. Has way more storage space then it appears. The backpack appears sturdy enough though I have only had it a few short weeks. The bag itself is comfortable to carry.

The bag has lovely features, great pockets for all of the gadgets you'd want to have on hand, and a generous main pocket. I have a G75VW-DH72, and the laptop pocket is too small for this laptop. It does fit in the main pocket, but who wants to waste that much functionality?

Also -the zipper for the main pocket is light-duty; the brand new backpack already had a kink around the corner. I wouldn't recommend it for a heavy traveler.

So -great features, but the intended laptop doesn't fit, and it isn't that durable.

I've used this backpack for the last 13 months and am now replacing it with a different brand. I liked it initially because it has a well-padded laptop compartment, two padded side compartments and a padded top pocket. The laptop compartment is spacious, and I fitted an extra layer of protective foam in it. It's also relatively water resistant. So, it provided quite good protection for my gear. However, the zips are small and they come apart. The stitching that holds the zip to the fabric breaks. After only about 8 months, the zip stitching on the main compartment broke and the zip began to pull away from the fabric, causing the zip to jam. I repaired the stitching, only to have another patch pull away. After a total of four repairs, I'm sick of this bag. I was also sick of not being able to fit much in it. I wouldn't recommend this bag since the zips are not durable. After doing much more research, I've ordered a Case Logic RBP-117 17.3-Inch MacBook Pro/Laptop Backpack with iPad/Tablet Pocket (Black) to replace this bag, which I hope will be better quality.
