Manhattan Portage Manhattan Laptop Bag

Very nice small bag, I bought it for short day trips, especially when travelling. When travelling, I nest this bag inside of my Tom Bihn Aeronaught, and it works quite well. (I am a fan of the Tom Bihn bags and this one is of similar size to their cafe bag, but they don't offer one with a built in laptop compartment.)

The padded compartment is quite nice and works well for either my 13" macbook pro or my ipad. The velcro strap that keeps your laptop in place is quite nice and sturdy. I like the structure of the bag it's well made and keeps the shape. It has a nice amount of pockets, including the main compartment, laptop pouch, and a bonus slot behind the laptop pouch, as well as a snap pocket on the front, magazine slot on back, and zipper pocket on flap. I'm using the zipper flap to store business cards and it's nice to always have one at the ready when attending conferences.

Two things I would change or love to see on this bag:

1. Pen holders/slots there are none and I wish there were. I'm carrying my pens loose in the bottom of the bag, which is not the handiest to locate.

2. I dislike the aesthetic of the plastic latch on the flap. To my eye, it looks cheap and like an afterthought. I would love to see it more integrated into the design.

With that being said, these points are relatively minor, and I do like the bag a lot and will continue to use it. I think that it's a good value for the price point and expect that it will last a long time.

DAKINE Valet Laptop Tote

I like this bag a great dealit is just big enough to fit my laptop, some notebooks, my lunch and all other necessities (computer charger, pens/pencils, water bottle other odds and ends...) without feeling too bulky or getting too heavy. I don't like using it to travel, however. The latch on the front pocket turns quite easily and if the bag is not upright, whatever is in that pocket is in danger of falling out. It is a fairly big pocket so I use it for more than just papers (I can fit a travel size umbrella and other such items inside). I don't like taking it on an airplane since I am afraid of anything in that pocket coming out. Other than that pocket, no complaintseasy to store, zips up nicely, good space in the bag.

Likes:

Good size (not too big or too small)

Fits all you need for the day

Cute!

Dislikes:

Front pocket unlatches too easily/items dump out

Bottom Line:

This bag is definitely a great laptop/work bag. If, like me you tend to put odd shaped/potentially rolling or sliding objects in your bag it may not be the best bag for travel as the front pocket tends to pop open on its own. Still a great buy!

I purcahsed this bag as an all purpose travel bag...and I LOVE IT. I have a two year old, and when we travel, I wanted to have a bag that I could use for my wallet and travel documents (the outside pocket) and a bigger space for my camera and toys. The outside pocket is big enough for my bill fold, FLIP recorder and documents and pens. It would probably hold a little more but that is what I used it for. Once I placed my camera in the main compartment, I was still able to put in several coloring books, toys and my daughter's DVD player and books. I was even able to store a few snacks in there for her. I am not sure what the outside flap is for, but I used it to carry my daughter's blanket that must travel with us wherever we go. I love this bag and have used it on three airline trips this year so far...and several road trips. I would definitely recommend this bag. My one small complaint is that when the bag is full, I sometimes have an issue with the outside pocket staying closed.

This bag is perfect as a carry-on. Not only did it fit easily beneath the seat, but held an amazing amount of stuff and remained lightweight. Even has a a padded pocket for a laptop; this inside padded pocket does not have a zipper, but that's how I prefer it. Outside pockets perfect for slipping ID and airline ticket into for easy access. I think I may now start to use it as my gym bag.

There is only one negative to this super cute laptop carrying case it smells to high heaven when you first take it out of the plastic. It smells like burnt rubber tires. I had to hang it outside for about three weeks so I could rid the smell from the bag, I also put a fabric softener sheet inside the bag to help. I imagine it's the neoprene itself, and then stored inside a plastic bag for some period of time. But once you get the smell out, it's very handy and cute! I love using it for my laptop! :)

I am in love with these bags, I ordered the 20" and 24" bags and they are both perfect. There are extra pockets and a lot of space for all the things I'll need to pack on my upcoming trips. I was able to fit a full three day vacation (including running shoes and another pair) in the bag along with makeup etc. I think an added bonus are the plastic "goodie bag" that are included and snap onto the side of the bag if wanted. I'm not sure how long they will hold up but for small items (like cords) it's an awesome addition. The only con is the expandable handle, when extended to it's full length it seems a little wobbly but the other length is quite sturdy. I can't wait to order the larger 28" size so I can have the full set!

It's red, snakeskin, and I can guarantee you won't have any trouble picking yours out of the other bags at the airport. I love this bag. It's the perfect bag for me and I wish everything I owned was red snakeskin.

Dora's Backpack Adventure (2002)

My son is a huge fan of Dora, and the material is great. Unfortunately the quantity of advertising at the beginning of this video is outrageous. I know that Ads at the start of a video are the standard, but over 10 minutes before the video starts on a child's video is outrageous. To wade through this much advertising to see the content they should give the video away for free. Yes, you can use the fast forward button every time your child watches, or you can record episodes easily direct from your own T.V. As this tape only contains two twenty minute episodes you won't have to work to hard to make your own comparable tape.

My 3 year old son is a diehard Dora fan. Recently he really started to pick up on the few Spanish words they have on the English DVDs and the television show. He was very excited to watch this video. I think it holds his attention even more than the others and his Spanish is skyrocketing. I wish the character's voices weren't so high pitched (seems to always happen in Spanish speaking programs all of the children have high voices) and that they spoke a little slower. But if your child watches Dora over and over, why not add a little Spanish?

We didn't realize how much our daughter liked Dora until our local cable company dropped "Nick Jr." programming, when she was 8 mo. old. At age 15mo. she saw Dora's picture at a bookstore, and thereafter would ask us, "D-D-D-Dora". Anything an 8 mo. baby remembers that long must be good.

So we got the Prince video, and the only problem is our tolerance for r-r-r-repeat showings.

We really like the clear language used, the repitition, the sort of "normal" fantasies (as opposed to sensory overload action/sound), and the Spanish inclusion. If they'd do the same stories with Chinese inclusions (or French, etc., etc.,) that would be great.

Our great objection is the 7 minutes of senseless advertisements at the beginning of the tape. When will Americans wake up and object forcefully to the invasive carcinoma that is excessive commercialization of society?

This is a sturdy bag for your laptop. It was advertised for a 16 inch laptop but my 17 inch fits in just fine. It has excellent construction and padding to protect the laptop. Unfortuantely it has room for little else, just the wires to connect to a electricity source. You cant put much else in there at all.

i accidently bought two of these and gave one to my highschooler. he absolutely loved it. I took the other on a international trip and loved its slim size yet you could stuff it full with laptop, charger, etc. Excellent purchase.

It feels much more durable than just canvas. Zippers are nice. And it's the perfect size for a toddler, but still big enough to pack some toys, books, maybe pj's for a night at the grandparents.

This is not a full size back pack. Bought it for school use only to find out it will just be used for toys. Had to get different one.

My son loved that this was a pokemon backback, and liked the picture, but it didn't last even halfway through the school year. First, the front plastic picture ripped, so I had to tape that together. Bought this for my 5 yr old son and I was sent a Sonic luggage roller bag instead of a backpack! Unfortunately I cannot send it back as I had it forwarded to me in the caribbean. The only negative I can see is that Brenthaven has gone away from the heavier cordura nylon and big beefy zippers. My last brenthaven bag was purchased 10 years ago and is still in use. I don't see this one lasting that long but time will tell.

I've had this backpack for a month or two now and I use it for commuting to work either by car or by bicycle. I have a pretty large Lenovo laptop in there and it fits with not much extra room in the laptop sleeve. The tablet sleeve fits my iPad with smart cover with no problems and there's still plenty of extra room in that area if I wanted. The other compartment has plenty of different types of pockets to hold pens, chargers, phones, cables, ipods, etc. I still haven't filled all of them. On the sides there is an area for a water bottle and also a zippered pocket for whatever other small things.

The backpack has reflective strips on the front straps and on the back to keep you visible at night when riding a bike, which is a nice touch. The zippers and material are all very high quality and don't seem like they will break. The handle on the top of the bag does seem smaller and weak compared to the rest of the bag, but it hasn't broken or even seemed strained even with heavy loads, so I might just be crazy. Overall, the build quality is very good, which is what I'd expect from Brenthaven.

I'm not sure how it would be for different laptops, but for mine, the top of it sticks up above the sleeve inside the bag a little bit. If something dropped onto the top of my laptop or if it fell upside down, the laptop is not protected. The sleeve is otherwise padded all around. I'm really not getting into very many dangerous circumstances with my laptop, so it's not a big deal, but if you're looking for maximum laptop protection, you may want to find another bag or put your laptop in a different sleeve before putting it in here.

This bag holds my 15.6" Toshiba laptop and my iPad in a hard case with bluetooth keyboard with no problems. The padding is very nice but not overwhelming. It has a nylon strap that fits over the laptop and iPad to hold both or either one in place while in the bag. The side pouch holds a water bottle or energy drink safely and easily. The outside "pouch" fits several different things and has elastic straps to snug things down. It has a few smaller pockets inside that will hold an iPod or a phone. It has one pocket that has the same style nylon strap to hold down a small point and shoot camera as well. The shoulder straps are padded and comfortable and it has a sternum strap that is nice if you want to balance the weight a bit more. I use it while riding my scooter back and forth to work and everything is in place when I get to work or home. I definitely recommend this bag.

I've been using this backpack for a few months now. It's incredibly sturdy, as it should be, being made out of canvas. The gold zippers are a really nice and subtle decorative touch. Perhaps the only complaint I have on this product is the fact that when heavy things like notebooks are placed in it, it sags a bit in the middle. To solve this issue, I simply placed a sheet of thick plastic that doesn't bend. It works perfectly! This backpack is wonderful, and I recommend it to anyone looking into buying one.

High Sierra A.T. Ultimate Access Wheeled Duffel with Backpack Straps Blue Yonder/Tungsten/Black

My boyfriend was traveling to Greece this summer and needed a bag. I searched high and low for one with all the features I was looking for... Wheels, backpack straps, and a handle. This bag was the one with everything and it was the most economically priced. He loved it and I'm really glad I ot it! It arrived when the seller said it would and was in excellent condition.

I spent a significant amount of time researching bags that would be suitable for 1 week trips or thereabouts and this bag was the winner. It holds about 67 litres which is a reasonable size for a bag with these dimensions. According to High Sierra the bag weighs about 3.5 kilograms but I am not sure if this is correct as it's actually pretty light and I consider that it competes with the Antler travel bags as this is what I was initially considering. It has two large end pockets plus a front small to medium size pocket. The end pockets could be used for storing shoes as they are quite large.

The front pocket is ideal for smaller things that aren't breakable. The zippers and zips are of excellent workmanship and are some of the strongest I have seen and consider they will last for a long time with proper care. The actual zippers are made from some type of strong metal that is designed with hard wear and tear in mind and I really liked this as when you inspect the bag you can tell there has been high attention to detail. All the zippers can be locked and being so strong and well-designed I consider they would deter most would be thieves if locked securely with proper travel locks.

The material is very light weight yet durable and the colour looks really good. The material will cope with all types of weather conditions and could be easily cleaned if needed. The main compartment is made with durable material that should last a while if cared for correctly. The wheels are strong and the back straps are well designed and I think it would be easy to carry a heavy load. The telescopic handle feels solid and I don't see them breaking though in comparison to Paklite bags the telescopic handle isn't as solid and I think High Sierra could do have done better but this isn't a major issue.

The duffle carry straps are made from sturdy velcro material and grip well/easily together and I think the velcro should wear well. Overall I chose this bag because it is quality and that is simply put. When you compare this bag to an Antler duffle bag you may think it doesn't compete but it does for sure. This bag comes with a 5 year warranty and the Antler includes a 5 or 10 year warranty but to buy an Antler would cost about $130.00 or more Australian dollars so I think they compare well.

I also compared this bag to a Paklite wheeled duffle (origin and adventure) that included about 70 litres of space but that bag had pieces of material/webbing on the outside I think would get easily damaged in flight and the frame was also narrower. I consider if you travelled with the High Sierra AT2500 26" Wheeled Duffle with Backstraps you wouldn't have any problems.

I got this bag because I was traveling a lot with the whole Wounded Warrior thing, and do not get around like I used to. This has provided me with a bag large enough to hold all my clothes and other items that I was living with while hospitalized. When I traveled in the airport, this allowed me to easily roll along for great distance with my limited mobility. I have had the bag for four months, and would like to say, "it does everything it is supposed to and does it very well." If you need a durable, versatile, and well made duffle bag then this is a good choice.

Dakine Girls Hip Pack

Wanted a fanny pack for Disney World but didn't wanna look tacky. Dakine usually targets the younger generation and this fanny pack is totally hip. Great size. Fit my iPhone, camera pack, and sunglasses. I recommend this.

This was for my 9 yr old daughter. She loves it. The colors are beautiful and the quality is extremely good. The pack is a good size for her--not too big, not too small--but looks like it will also continue to be a good size as she grows. We had to cinch the waistband down a lot, but the way it is designed we can at least do it, unlike some other pack that only tighten so far. She's able to do the clasp herself but it is plenty sturdy. Overall, very happy with this!
