I recently purchased this back pack to carry my stuff around at Bonnaroo, which is a massive music festival on a farm in the middle of Tennessee in June. Needless to say, it is hotter than hades there that time of year, and carrying water and supplies is essential. I had been looking for the best option, and decided on this back pack after reading reviews on several. I am happy to report that the backpack is large enough to carry all our stuff: Two Helinox folding chairs, a large blanket, several water bottles in a small cooler, a personal fan, a towel and some smaller items. The front pocket carried all the contents I would normally carry in my purse. I am beyond thrilled with this product and will continue to use it for years to come. I will be brinking it camping next weekend and try it out on the river:)

I was looking for a backpack that was different from the norm, yet had a large capacity. This fit the bill perfectly. The construction seems to be durable. I bike a lot and carry all kinds of things, and this bag holds the loads comfortably. Nice attention to details, such as the side pockets closer snap is actually magnetic, useful and simple to use. My only nitpick would be the pockets inside the bag should have a flap or zipper to keep little items from falling out.

This backpack has many roomy pockets with soft, genuine leather straps. It feels very sturdy and would last a long time through any rugged terrains. I unfortunately had to ship mine back as it was a lot larger and heavier than I thought it would be. The shipping weight listed is 3 pounds, and the backpack itself is also 3 pounds so take this into consideration if you plan on carrying a lot. I had purchased it with the intent to use it for school and camping, but it was too large and heavy for everyday, school use.

I travel by air twice a month. Every time through the airport, I had to carry a conventional briefcase type laptop bag and backpack to bring all my belongings and peripherals. The old bag didn't even have room to fit the power cord or trackball. With this new backpack, I can fit everything I had in BOTH my old bags and it is much more organized so cables don't get all tangled either. The laptop section is padded and has a strap to secure the laptop. It fits perfectly (I have a VAIO 15.4" monitor, VGN-NR240E). In the same pocket there is another pouch for carrying bulky items. There is a second large zippered portion with two mesh zippered pockets in it for segregating smaller items. On the outside front there are two external zippered pouches, one with a zippered mesh pouch and one with an elastic mesh pouch for items you need to get quickly. The second external pouch has a slot for for papers it looks like, three pen straps, three business cars or credit card holders, two elastic straps for holding things in place and the keyring caribiner clip. There is padding on the edges where the sides contact your back and it is very comfortable even when just slung over one arm. It has very heavy duty construction and stitching, with reinforcement on high stress areas. All external zippered pouches have two zips, are heavy duty, and have large teeth for easy function. With the way most products are fabricated cheaply nowadays, it was really so much more than I expected. The designers apparently thought this product through and made sure shortcuts weren't taken in design and fabrication. I love mine. If you carry a briefcase style laptop bag and another bag to carry the rest of what you need, you will be impressed by this bag's capability and ease of use! Thanks for reading my review.

AmeriLeather Urban Buckle-Flap Backpack

Let me start off by saying that this is a GREAT backpack. I'm a female professional in my 20's and I wanted a backpack that didn't make it look like I was still in Junior High. I got it in Brown and the color is GORGEOUS! Not too light, not too dark. The actual backpack is a bit heavy by itself because it is made of leather and has three extra pockets. However, I can fit my laptop, waterbottle, a change of clothing, wallet, keys, ipod, and cellphone comfortably. The buckles and snaps work fine for me. The only problem I have with this backpack is the insanely long straps. I'm 5"5 and with the straps in the tightest setting the bottom of the backpack still hit somewhere along my butt. I ended up using a screwdriver to poke my own holes in the belt for the strap. Other than that I love this thing. It's extremely durable and fashionable as well.

The bag cam earlier than expected! Although I didn't know it and wound up waiting until the date it said it would arrive to ask my doorman if it came. The bag is exactly what it looks like and is described as in the picture. I think I've carried it everyday since I got it. I can fit my computer, a change of clothes for the gym, folders for work and misc. items like hand sanitizer and eyes drops in the little pockets. GREAT PURCHASE!

This is a really great and functional bag. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for two problems: first, the shoulder strap is really ineffective. It hurts my shoulder to use it. I love this bag! It's large enough to hold my laptop and files on one side and also hold carry-on items, liquids and my Kindle on the other side. Each side has its own zipper. There are a number of pockets inside so that I can stay organized and the liner is a rose color (bag is black) so I can easily see the contents. There are two outside pockets that can hold boarding passes, ID and passport on one side and car/transport and hotel reservation information on the other side. All easy to reach without having to open the main compartments. The bag has a tab that fits over the handle of my wheeled luggage so I can easily stack it. The tote handles fit comfortably over my shoulder and I don't need (nor use) the cross-body strap.

There are two holders inside for water bottles. It's a great bag. I wish I had found it years ago.

This bag is incredibly exactly what I was looking for. I travel for work weekly and needed a good handbag that would fit my laptop, headphones, ipad, papers, notepad etc. and I did not want a bulky laptop-type bag. This was perfect. It fits everything, looks great and is comfortable to carry (the normal straps, not the longer straps). A few words of warning:

I don't really see anyone using the longer cross-body straps. They're not that comfortable and given that this bag can fit a lot, it tends to get heavy and therefore it's more comfortable to use the normal straps. Also, this bag is a big bag which is great for my purposes but some might find it overwhelming in its size.

Knirps Luggage X1 Umbrella

I bought my first Knirps while in college, in 1967. However, after 45 years of use, it finally gave out.

I bought this little item, which is a little smaller than my original folding Knirps, and it works great! Because it is half the size of my original Knirps folding umbrella, it fits in more places, like the jacket pocket, the sweatshirt kangaroo pocket, etc. Thus, it will go more places!

Hope it lasts 45 years, like my other Knirps did!

There are so many cheap compact umbrellas out there. If you are tired of the waste, buy this one. It's tiny enough to fit in your briefcase or backpack and forget about it until it starts raining and you were an idiot and didn't check the forecast. No, it's not a golf umbrella and you'll still get a little wet but you won't piss off the people next to you. Have been using it for maybe three years and haven't had one break, although I don't live in a climate that gets a ton of rain. I recommend getting a few to have one in each bag to supplement your main umbrella (no, they aren't paying me to say that).

The first one of these I bought lasted five years, and it was still remarkably nice when I lost it. It's the only umbrella its size I've found that can survive downtown San Francisco and Manhattan wind tunnels created by the tall buildings. I didn't hesitate to buy another. The ability to just shake the rain off to completely dry does wear off with age, and I only realized that when I got this new one and was reminded how well my first one shook off rain when I first bought it. Even after years, it just needs to be left out of its case for half an hour after use to let it dry out. But the shake-it-off and put-it-back-in-its-case-immediately niceness sure is welcome when it's new. Hopefully after a few years I'll remember to spray it with scotch guard or something to restore that property.

This umbrella is VERY cheaply made. One of the wires (connecting the ribs) was caught in the fabric and ripped it upon first opening. The framework is SO flimsy. I wouldn't have paid $10 for it, much less $30. Returned it for a refund. Do not bother purchasing this product. Shame on Knirps for manufacturing it, and shame on Amazon for selling it!

I've had this backpack for almost a year, so maybe I shouldn't complain too much, but the strap is slowly becoming detached from the body of the bag which is really a shame because I'm very fond of this bag. It's just poor stitching. Other than that, the bag has held up well, and the design, in both the way it looks and in function, is quite beautiful in its simplicity. There's an open pocket on the inside that's perfect for an iPad too.

Tumi Luggage Voyageur Ascot Convertible Backpack

Light, sturdy attractive bag...perfect for carrying laptop and a few necessities to & from work. This is by far the lightest laptop backpack I've ever owned, which is important to me since I'm not the strongest gal around. Nice zippered internal & external pocket. Also you can carry it like a large clutch. Highly recommended!!

I cannot tell you how many backpacks I have. Everything from airport-friendly check-through bags to your typical book bag, I've bought them all. Spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on these bags only to find one flaw after another in them. Now I can stop looking (and spending) since I found this bag. The Ascot is very well made, fairly lightweight with durable material. The fabric doesn't seem to show stains or wear so far, and it is smooth and attractive. The bag easily holds my ultrabook computer, mouse, hotspot, cords, etc. as well as all my personal items like my wallet, jacket, etc. without becoming a behemoth (It is a perfect size for my 5'3" frame). I really like the versatility of the straps: you can tuck them away and just use the handles on the top, or you can clip both (or one) strap to the opposite side and carry like a sling, or use both straps like a normal backpack. The large compartment opens wide without coming fully open so you don't spill all your contents out. The inside computer compartment is nicely padded and opposite that are pockets for smaller items, as well as a zipper compartment for storing cords so they don't get in your way. I like that it doesn't have too much tiny organizational pockets for stuff -I don't need these because I just drop my wallet in, and that would just needlessly add weight. I used to always look at the Tumi line and wonder why on earth they were so expensive. Was it lined with gold? Was it bigger on the inside like Doctor Who's Tardis? No, but after owning 2 now I understand why. They are durable, well constructed, and extremely well designed. Just the right number of compartments, not too many, not too few. Lightweight, attractive and just the right size. I bought the Tumi Voyageur Brive sling backpack in December and together, these two make a perfect pair for me. This one when I need to carry my computer and the sling bag when I just want to carry my personal stuff without the computer. With my Tumi set, I feel my search is over and although my wallet is considerably lighter because of these two purchases, they are worth it.

This convertible bag for a small laptop or tablet (or both) is the most convenient, easy to carry, and stylish I've ever had. I have been stopped on the street and on trains to be asked about my bag. it's size is manageable. It's lightweight and very easy to carry. i find, however, that I rarely use the handles as they are too short to fit over your arm and the straps are convenient and comfortable. The only odd thing that is missing are pen holders, but that's no big deal.

They're fairly small and won't hold much. Bought these to hold things for Girl Scout outings but ended up not using them because they could barely hold a water bottle and a lightweight kid jacket.

Don't seem at all cheap for the price, def not for very weighty items. Long enough at 15 inches but narrow enough at 9 inches to be used as the favor bag for my daughters 2nd bday party. I don't think that it is ideal to hold anything too sharp.

The hydration pack ready feature was a very pleasant surprise as I missed that in the description. The pack rides high on the back so you can fit a fanny pack under it of you want and is very comfortable to wear. No chafing at all during the hike in/hike out of the hunt.

Thor Motocross Slam Backpack - Spiral

Purchased this backpack to be a general purpose notebook computer backpack.

Pros: Has a cool Thor logo allowing me to subtly display my passion for dirt biking. Light weight, nice handle and straps.

Cons: The strap stiching gave up after 3 months use. Had to switch back to an old bag until I can find a more suitable canidate. I would prefer more storage pockets for organizing. The backpack is somewhat limited for organizational areas but not so much so that I don't use it.
