It's sturdy, made of great materialsall canvas with leather accentslooks great in person. Large but not obscenely largeplenty of pockets and compartments. I really love this bag. This backpack has many roomy pockets with soft, genuine leather straps. It feels very sturdy and would last a long time through any rugged terrains. I unfortunately had to ship mine back as it was a lot larger and heavier than I thought it would be. The shipping weight listed is 3 pounds, and the backpack itself is also 3 pounds so take this into consideration if you plan on carrying a lot. I had purchased it with the intent to use it for school and camping, but it was too large and heavy for everyday, school use.Want BROWN Canvas Military Style Backpack School Bag Camping Bag Large Size Classic Look Discount?
I bought this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas and she loved it. She's in the military and also travels a lot for fun.The bag has plenty of room for a weekend trip or just to carry your stuff! She made the comment that not only was
it practical, had plenty of room and even though it is advertised as military style, it was also pretty enough for a girl!
It is also made very well too. The leather accents are great and it is very versatile. She should get years of service out
of the bag.I have received the bag today( June 12th 2013) and it was as described on the Website! I love it! Everything is perfect and I would recommend it to anyone looking for School Bag or Camping bag! I really love it! It is well designed! Thanks to the seller (Jam_closet)

Very Cute! Larger than I expected. Holds a good amount of items. Great for toddlers. Great for travel. Very cute.16.5" Signature Fanny Pack
If you measure the back of this pack from the (back) zipper to the bottom of the pack it is 8 inches.
It is well made, has huge compartments, provides a plastic boat (quick release) clip with a stainless steel ring for keys.
The strap is 1-1/4" wide. Unlike some straps, the termination at the belt buckle has the end sewn-hemmed, preventing a loose strap from slipping through the tension buckle and becoming separated.
The tension buckle used for adjusting strap length appears to be excellent at restricting movement.
The zippers are solid metal with 1-3/4" long tabs. There are three zippers on the top as shown; two in front and one at the back. When the top is flattened (similar to pack being filled completely) it is 5" at the widest point. As advertised, it is 16.5" from the edge of the straps (where sewn in) to the pack portion.
Based on a phone call to Everest, all of their Adult fanny packs have maximum strap length of 42". Thus, I like their length for shoulder carry, vice waist use.THIS TRAVEL PACK IS USED ON THE STEERING ASSEMBLY OF MY HANDICAPPED SCOOTER. SINCE THERE IS NO FRONT BASKET, MY WALLET, CHANGE, POCKET KNIFE, ETC ARE SECURELY AND CONVIENTLY AVAILABLE WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF LOSS. I USED MY PREVIOUS PACK UNTIL IT WORE OUT. We bought this backpack for our 3 year old son who just started preschool. The teachers asked that the kids bring a full-size backpack so they can easily send home 8.5x11 papers, projects, etc. I was worried that he may be too small to handle a full-size backpack, but he LOVES it! He can easily zip and unzip all compartments, get things in and out, including juice cups in the side pockets, and can easily carry it, even when fully loaded with "Treasures". It seems solidly built and has survived, unscathed, 2 airplane rides and 4 months of preschool so far! *LOL* Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to friends! My son started preschool this year and he was so excited to get his "Buzz Lightyear" backpack. The bag is very sturdy and has held up very well as it's been dragged across our gravel driveway, parking lots, and the classroom. And my son is very happy to show off his backpack to anyone that asks.Want Disney's Toy Story Backpack - Buzz & Woody School Backpack ( We Are Andy's Toys ) Discount?

As an older woman returning to college I did not really want to carry a backpack. This bag is large enough to carry my laptop when needed, three or four large paperback text books and a binder. There is a small, mesh pocket inside that holds my large graphing calculator and pencils. If you have back problems this may not be the bag for you because it doesn't distribute weight across your back like a regular backpack. I do not have to carry my books very far so it works well for me.Read Best Reviews of JanSport Classic 9-Track Backpack Here
Bought this for my 9 year old that didn't want the character back pack but the teen ones were too "cookie cutter".We found this one after searching for a week. It's perfect and she loves it. Very well made but the fabric is light weight enough for the 9 year old to sport around every day. This is a good deal for a pretty decent quality laptop bag. I had previously bought another one double the price of this which I retuned in favor of this bag. Lots of little pockets it's great. Bought it for my teenage daughter.

Checkout this video to see all the pockets inside: http://youtu.be/bwcfkZ84S80I've had my ECBC Poseidon Messenger Bag for about 6 months and love it! It looks stylish in an understated way and I get tons of compliments on it. I discovered it by reading a great review online that convinced me to get one.
The quality of material is excellent and I can tell you from personal experience that it is water resistant, as promised. The interior design was really well thought through. It's big enough to hold up to a 13" MacBook Pro, and is well padded on both sides to keep my investment protected. The bottom of the compartment holds an inch-thick modular padded insert that's removable if you're using a 13" MacBook Pro, but stays in there if you have a smaller laptop like an 11" MacBook Air. It has enough room to hold my iPad (in addition to my laptop), and there are A LOT of other pockets to hold more stuff like power cords, etc. It also slides securely over my rolling luggage handle when traveling and fits easily under airplane seats.

I bought this based on pictures alone. Unfortunately, the bag is way to small to fit anything in it. A couple of pencils and small pieces of paper will be the limit. The compartments on the inside of the bag are so tight that you cannot fit anything that is wide or has some depth to it. If all you need is your laptop and some pens and pencils, this bag is for you. If you need more space for files, this isn't for you.I purchased a Skooba v.3 Mini after trying this bag out, and that bag is actually smaller than this messenger bag, but is constructed much better and allows for more storage. So if you need to fit more thicker items and papers into a bag, check out Skooba. Otherwise, this bag is good for carrying a laptop, a cell phone, and some pens.

I have had this bag for a couple of years. Some of the other reviewers noted quality issues, the only thing I have noticed was that the bungees stretched out and gave up faster than I would have liked. I have pulled them tight and cut off the excess one or two times. The rest of the bag looks brand new, since the material seems impervious to stains and tears. Here is how I use this bag, and I love it.
#1) Airplane travel.
There is no better bag that I have found for airplane travel with kids. I don't use the changing pad that comes with the bag, since it is a bit big and bulky. I use a thinner more flexible one and slide it in the front open section of the bag along with our boarding passes. In the "laptop sleeve", I can fit either my 15" work laptop (I have to stretch it a bit to do this), or I will store my iPad, one or two magazines, a coloring book, and some paperback kids books.
I use the bottom insulated compartment for a kids change of clothes, snacks, and the airplane harness.
The top portion of the bag holds my wallet, diapers, wipes, my camera. iPad can also fit here if I am carrying the laptop.
The side pockets hold smaller treats (lollipops, stickers) for coaxing my kid to get in the seat and stay there. The other one holds my cell phone. One of the small pockets on the side has a string with a clip for keys, so I always know where they are.
The bungees can hold a kids jacket and blankie or lovey.
Then I still have the mesh pocket for a drink.
I also use a carabiner to clip on bags of food or airport purchases, there are handy plastic rings on the bag for this purpose. You can really load up and live up to the sherpa name.
Even with all this, it still fits under the seat. With this bag I feel confident to fly alone with my kid, with both hands free and an organized bag filled with kid necessities.
#2) The beach or hiking
For a day trip to the beach, I fill the insulated compartment with a frozen water bottle and snacks or a small picnic lunch. The top portion still holds diapers and also sunscreen, and magazines in the laptop sleeve. I have to carry another large tote for the tent, towels and sand toys. I use the bag as a pillow while lying on the beach. The bag will get hot in the sun, so I would only bring it if you have a tent or shade.
The handle on top makes it easy to move around once fully loaded. The straps are well padded, so I have never been uncomfortable wearing it. The back of the bag is a nice mesh fabric so I don't have a sweaty back.
I love the bag for these types of trips/outings. I think it is bit of overkill for an everyday diaper bag (except for an infant who needs formula). I don't take it shopping or to little trips around town. But it is a killer carry-on bag, and definitely beats carrying a diaper bag + cooler for picnics.

We received several diaper bags from our baby showers cheap and expensive ones. This one is by far our favorite. We love the laptop sleeve so we don't have to carry extra computer bags. The cooler in the bottom is a must-have when traveling with breastmilk or formula. Plus, it's easy to carry through an airport you can't beat that.
Want Baby Sherpa Alpha Sherpa - Black Discount?
I've had the Alpha Sherpa backpack for just over a year. I really like the cooler compartment in the bottom: it allows me to keep food items, messy bibs or other wet items separate from the rest of the bag. The side bottle compartment and mesh side water bottle holder are nice as well (I have a toddler and a baby, so it's great to have easily accessible outer pockets for each of their cups). The top compartment is rather small for 2 kids' stuff so I tend to overpack it, which may be why the zipper has split. The bungees on the front have also snapped in one place, so not all of them are useful now. The chest strap that holds the shoulder straps in place started to rip right away, so it's not very sturdy either.I like having a backpack so my hands are free: it's hard to manage a toddler and a baby when I'm worrying about a diaper bag swinging off my shoulder to whack a kid, so this design solves that issue. The shoulder straps are nicely padded so they're pretty comfortable and make it easier to carry a heavy load than with a messenger bag.
I agree with the other review that points out that you can either use the laptop sleeve as a laptop case or a changing pad carrier there isn't a way to do both. We just haven't used it for a laptop sleeve. Also, the pad that came with the bag was too small and didn't seem like it would be easy to clean, so we replaced it with the JJ Cole pad we had from our Method bag.
Overall, I'm disappointed with the quality for the price ($90) of this bag. I knew there was only a 30 day warranty when I bought it, which made me suspect that the quality wasn't outstanding but I did hope it would last more than a year. I wouldn't recommend this bag to someone using it everyday; maybe only for occassional outings.
Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel/Backpack Diaper Bag
In Summary....
Pros:
-Perfect size and style for daily use
-Thick material, durable, quality made
-Roomy, fits quite a bit for its size
-Lots of pockets
-Price, One of the few large PPB bags for under $120
-Beautiful patterns to choose from
Cons:
-Can only be spot cleaned (No dry cleaning or machine washable)Both bag & diaper changing pad
-Exterior side pockets could be a tad deeper so bottles would stay in place
-Exterior back pocket has an awkward seam, constricting its usability.
-Due to the style (a tapered top), the opening narrows causing some constriction in getting things in and out...but it is minimal and does not cause a problem for me.
-One seam on the interior pocket has started to unravel, but this easily fixable.I recently ordered three diaper bags, hoping one would work. Unfortunately (fortunately?) this bag was knocked out after only the briefest look.
** PROS **
1. It's cute.
2. I like the strap options.
** CONS **
1. It's too deep, and the side zippers don't open all the way so it's hard to reach the stuff inside the bag once you stuff it in.
2. It has very few pockets. The pockets it does have are decent, but I need WAY more organization on the inside of the bag.
3. The "four bottle pockets" are laughable--they are opposite each other on the sides/end so that if you put a bottle in one (say in the outside pocket) there's NO WAY you're getting a bottle on the inside pocket. You might be able to slip a phone in there or a packet of Kleenex but that's it. I even had to struggle to get a sippy cup in the pocket--no thank you.
When I figured out CON #3, I knew this bag was going back. Especially when combined with how deep it is and the cost.

I have this bag and have been using it for 2 months now. It has its pro's and cons:Pros:
Great organic cotton
doesn't Look like a diaper bag
Has lots of organizational pockets inside and outside of main zipper compartment
comes with wipes case and changing pad
Cons:
For me the backpack straps are ugly and useless and just are in the way. you can tuck them into the back of the bag though.
I wish the zipper was wider. I often find myself searching to try to find something at the bottom of the bag and have to take several items out to get to it because it doesn't open up very wide.
it is too wide at the base to comfortably fit under the bugaboo cameleon stroller. You have to really stuff it in there and tug it out.
I suggest also order the PPB stroller clips with this bag because it makes carrying it around with your stroller much easier.

My son is 13 months old, and this is my 4th diaper bag. It has been so hard to find the perfect bag, and this one comes about as close as it gets!We cloth diaper and do not eat fast foods, so a bag that is functional and large enough to hold a day's worth of diapers and food was essential. I ordered the bag in the Moonlight print ant it is fabulous. It is a very classy grey with deep yellow accents. I like the fact that it is very understated and does not come off as flashy or 'busy'. It also doesn't scream "diaper bag". I could easily wear this to a client meeting, and no one would be wiser. The backpack straps are a huge plus now that my son is walking. When I bend to pick him up or chase after him, the bag does not fall off of my shoulders and smack him in the head. I also love that the straps can be tucked away when not in use.
So far, I have 2 cloth diapers, wet bag, cover, change of clothes (including a jacket), sippy, medium food pocket carryon, assorted trucks and toys, changing pad, A&A blanket, wipes case, bug spray, suntan lotion, mommy lotion, hair brush, wallet, my personal items (lip gloss etc) and I still have TONS of room left in this bag for the added things you tend to accumulate when out with a toddler for the day.
The bag is canvas and has already accumulated some dog hair, which I expected. I wish that it wasn't spot clean only, but it will have to do. The outside bottle pockets barely fit my son's sippy and do NOT hold the insulated thermos sippy that he has; which is a shame. I'm not sure I like the look of a sippy on the outside anyway, so I might just use that for cell phone or smaller toys.
It is not obvious to me how to attach this to my stroller with stroller clips; perhaps I have to order the PPB clips and not the universal ones that I have now. Other than the sippy cup pockets and the stroller clips, I love this bag!
Oh, and I am 5'2" and I can hold the bag just by the shoulder straps and have it not touch the ground... awesome. This bag is worth every penny!

I researched several bags before registering for this Petunia. I knew I wanted a backpack style bag, as it would more evenly distribute the weight & leave my hands free. This bag is comfortable enough for that, and the adjustable straps on the backpack are easy to use. I don't really like that the other handles "pop out" when you are using the backpack carry it looks a bit tacky. The size of this diaper bag is great. When I first had LO I thought it was going to be a bit small, however as I have gotten more savvy with what I actually need to take with me when out and about (i.e. I realized I don't need 15+ diapers, 4 burp cloths, 5 changes of clothes, etc...) the bag has room to spare. I usually pack around 7 diapers, a full bag of wipes (70+ wipes), 3 changes of clothes, 2 burp cloths, food, pacifier, a small "mommy supply" clutch, 2 toys, a pacifier and 1-2 mommy snacks, and STILL have room to add more.
So for a LITTLE while I thought this bag was great the only minor flaw being the way the straps pop out as I mentioned above. Plus, my friends have them, my family has them and the bag is cute. So...why 2 stars?
Well, one bright and sunny day my LO and I were out exploring the world and something got spilled ALL OVER the bag. These bags are spot clean only. Since it had gotten all over, I threw caution into the wind and tossed it into the washing machine. I figured it was ruined if I didn't anyway, and could it REALLY be that bad? Well, yes. It came out with the colors all distorted, some yellowing, and not the polished, pretty bag you want to have as the accessory to you and your darling LO.
If I would have used common sense, I NEVER would have registered for this bag. Ummmm, hello? Having kids = TONS of things spilling, dirt = fun, sometimes fun is measured by the amount of mess that has been made, etc. I need a diaper bag that can handle life, and never have to worry that I might soil it, or that it might pick up dirt from being on the ground, etc. So, I will move on to my next diaper bag adventure.
14 inch Brilliant Butterfly Escape White Floral DOUBLE Sided Print Dual Compartment Laptop Carrying
Case Logic ZLCS-117 Check Point Friendly 17-Inch Laptop Case (Black)
Another thing i noticed (which was kind of annoying) is that the same zip that splits the bag in half keeps opening up a little when its on one shoulder. I think it should have some kind of hook or something in the new design (if it's going to have one obviously)
On a lighter note it looks professional and neat without all those straps hanging everywhere like other brands. It feels durable when you hold it but it didn't get a long usage test yet.
Hope this helps..... Oh yes... I like this! But let's first put it into perspective, this isn't a magician's case. You're not going to get more than a day's worth of wearing apparel (and it had better be business casual apparel as well) inside along with your laptop and other techie stuff. But for a single overnight trip, this is by far the best marriage of utilitarian design with style that I've seen. The size of this even makes it a suitable option for those flights where fate (or traffic) has put you in the very last boarding group and "under the seat" is the only option for a carryon.
I won't get into the discussion with regards to the accuracy of TSA-friendly etc., as it's always been my experience that the TSA folks can be just as picky as they want. But it is convenient enough to pull the computer out and place it back in after passing the x-ray.
Actually, I can see a lot of people just using this as something of a mega-briefcase. You know the ones; the sales people with loads of brochures, the lawyers with tons of papers and the office jocks that have to tote along their softball or gym clothes.
Only time will tell as to the durability of the Caselogic 17 incher, but my inspection can't find any noticeable flaws or cut corners. I suspect this will last me for some time to come.

I had purchased this for Dennis, so I had him help me do the review. Here is a Video Review explaing every detail of this item. I hope it helps.
From what I seen, personally.. The item felt very sturdy, strong, and it was a nice size. It had a lovely laptop case that fit perfectly inside, also had tons of zippers in the front. He explains a lot in the video. He used the item a couple times. One time he flew with the item, when he went to Texas. The airport did ask him to take the laptop out of the slot, but he didn't have to open the bag that the laptop was in. You understand? (he explained this to me since I question him about these things, so I can review them)

I work at a university and need to transport various papers and sometimes bulky textbooks. I wanted a backpack to replace what I used to carry: a Land's End briefcase and a separate laptop bag. In buying a backpack, my criteria were:1) My 13-inch MacBook must fit. It does, no problem. It can hold a substantially larger laptop, but I'm not sure how large. There's a lot of space around my laptop though. The padding is substantial and seems to be adequate.
2) I wanted the backpack to look neat without a lot of straps and stuff hanging loose and no open external pouches. I wanted it to be as streamlined as possible. This one is. About the only thing hanging loose are the zipper pulls, but they're really quite inconspicuous. I like the velcro thingies that keep the excess shoulder strap wrapped up and out of the way. I think I would rather carry a briefcase in a more formal business situation, but this could work in a more casual business setting.
3) I wanted a backpack that could carry all my stuff. It has a fair amount of carrying space for stuff besides the laptop. A lot of pockets in a few compartments. In the main compartment, I carry some folders, maybe a textbook or two, some small stuff and my lunch. One thing that I would have liked different would be one or two more small interior pockets at different heights. As it is, the small stuff tends to all drop to the bottom of the backpack. If the small stuff were spread out more, the backpack could be a little flatter and stuff would be more accessible. That's just a minor preference though and not a major complaint. This backpack can't carry ALL of the stuff that I used to carry in my briefcase and laptop bag, mostly because my lunch would take a beating, but I probably hauled around too much stuff before anyway. This backpack has a lot of space in it though and it really is well-designed.
4) I wanted it to be well made. Overall, the backpack is well constructed. The zippers are sturdy and stay closed. I don't see any apparent weak spots in the construction. The shoulder straps are nicely padded and comfortable. The material seems to be very strong. The single carrying handle on top is adequately padded and appears to be sturdily attached.
I have not flown with this yet so I have not tried out the butterfly feature that supposedly lets you run it through security without taking out your laptop, but the mechanism is nicely designed and quick to use and it would be extremely convenient if the security people let you do it. It would be easy enough to remove the laptop if necessary, so it's not a big deal. A couple of the smaller compartments are very easy to access and would be nice for grabbing boarding passes quickly when whipping through the airport. The flap that lets you slip the backpack over the pull handle of a carry-on bag is nice too. This backpack would be great to travel with. I would use a regular carry-on bag for clothes and all to be stuffed in the overhead bin, and this backpack would be the bag I keep with me and stow under the seat.
When I was shopping for this backpack, the only reviews I found appeared to be for a very different bag, so many of the comments do not apply to this backpack. I am not sure, but I suspect that this is the next generation of the CLBS-116. Some of the comments about that backpack do not apply to this one. For example, I have never had the side zippers for the butterfly feature creep open inadvertently. Someone complained that the CLBS-116 has no opening for headphones to fit through. The ZLBS-116 has no dedicated headphone opening either, which is fine with me. I'm sure I could run the wire through one of the zippered openings if I really wanted to.
Overall, I'm very happy with this backpack. I would buy it again and I recommend it.
UPDATE: I flew from Minneapolis to Orlando and back in early January, 2012. At both airports, I was able to use the butterfly feature and leave my laptop in the backpack when I put it in the scanner. That was nice. Unfortunately, I was so distracted by whether they would gripe about the laptop that I forgot to take out my liquids, so they pulled me aside and searched my suitcase. But not my backpack, so that worked. The backpack is still holding up very nicely. No wear or tear, other than some minor loose fuzzies on the outer edges where it sometimes rubs against things. But that is a cosmetic issue that can be easily remedied and it doesn't affect the structure or function of the backpack. I would still buy this backpack again and I still recommend it.

The true test of this roller was taking it to India, loaded with my laptop, documents, clothes, and shaving set. It took a beating, and it never failed. With the numerous escalators, steps, customs, security checks, rough environmental conditions at my destination, etc., it came back looking good as new and held everything together in a compact manner after such a rough round-trip. The handle stayed sturdy even after being expanded/collapsed many times. I was surprised with the roller's capacity, and loved the laptop sleeve WHICH I NEVER REMOVED when my laptop went through security checks in the USA, Europe, and India. It was a great investment.
