7000 Cubic Inch Alpine Trekking/ Hiking/ Climbing/ Camping Backpack

7000 Cubic Inch Red Alpine Trekking/ Hiking/ Climbing/ Camping BackpackI used this backpack for the Sierra Club Wilderness Basics Course and I was pleased with the height but the pack is very narrow. I really struggled to get a sleeping bag and a tent in it without breaking a seam/ zipper. Also, the upper side pockets are almost useless when the pack is loaded up. The top of the pockets are flush with the side of the pack so they really can't expand out as you put things into them. The lower side "bottle holders" are also kind of tiny. My final problem with this pack was the cheap plastic buckles. I broke three of them during the course of the class (Two shoulder buckles and one on the bottom of the pack. I was able to tie off the straps and continue but having equipment hold together while you are out in the desert is extremely important. Overall the pack was usable and the other features are great but it needs some girth, better plastic, and better pockets.

This pack is handy....

I bought this pack a few months ago and really didn't have the time to try it out...until last week.

Two of my buddies and I decided to go on a four day back-country hike in the Red River Gorge. I had been on a few of these before but nothing as long and as rugged as this one, and for four days the 7,000 cubic inch space came in quite handy.

I was able to fit: two pairs of pants, two pairs of shorts, a pair of swimming trunks, a hooded sweat shirt, a pair of shoes, a first aid kit, 4 pairs of socks, 3 t-shirts, a flashlight, three 1.5 liter water bottles, two rolls of toilet paper, a two person tent and a .45 handgun in the main compartment. On the upper compartment: toothbrush, deodorant, flint striker and fire starters. Lower compartment I used for food such as canned tuna, beef jerky, soups, ect....

Strapped to the lower half was a thick sleeping pad and a thick sleeping bag. The two side compartments each easily held 1.5 liter bottles snuggly strapped in.

In all it weighed in at around 90 lbs. Which is where the comfort of this pack comes in. Sure it was heavy but it fit great, had well balance and pretty good shoulder padding. With the chest strap and the padded waist strap it made a very heavy haul as easy as it could be.

I was planning to go camping in Yosemite for the weekend and needed to shop for a backpack after I found out my old mainstay had a big hole in the rough-hide leather bottom. Many thanks to Fluffy for that... Anyway, I wanted something quick and cheap when I came across these bags. Holy cow, this camping backpack is a bargain. It is HUGE and has got all the trappings of a fully spec-ed out camping backpack. There are more than enough compartments, straps, and buckles to hold just about any standard gear you'd care to take and it looks I could have catered a New year's bash in this bag. The shoulder, hip, and belt straps are all nicely padded and adjustable. I don't know much about the material and stuff but it came back from my trip in one piece and now I have a real backpack for my next trip. Definitely recommend it for its price.

hello

i have been using this pack for a few weeks

the materials, like the circular ball closingsand blue string, used for tighttening up the top pack are cheapely made, as well as the straps... if you put this up againt a north face, jansport or lowe pack for starters, it does not hold a candle. the ergonimic needs for good hiking are lacking in this the design of this pack

one problem is the hip buckle adjustment is not adjustable on the spot, as it is cheaply made. 90 percent of the bodies weight comes onto the hips in movement and a well designed hip pad is imperative. also the 7,000 cu inch measurement statement is including all openings, which is misleading. the basic top to bottom opening does not shore up to even nearly that

in my view this kind of advertising is deplorable

yes, it was an inexpensive pack, but this is no excuse for bad

design.

sincerely

This pack will do the job of lugging a lot of gear... but it isn't 7000 CI. I can fit my 2 person tent, 4.5 liters of water, enough food for 3 days, 2 days of clean clothing, my glock 19 handgun, stove, sleeping bag and pad. That being said if they would reinforce the cheap plastic buckles and design the side pockets to expand larger this could be a great bag on a budget! It isn't that comfortable but for under $70 buxs compared to over $300 for an Osprey I can deal with that. I have a 3 day trip and 2 day trip on Mt.Baldy and Ice House Saddle Trail on this pack as long as the cheap plastic buckles hold up I am happy with my purchase.

Rockland Luggage Rolling 22" Duffle Bag

Rockland Luggage 22 inch Rolling Duffle Bag, Pink Leopard, MediumI bought this bag for my daughter to take on a week long trip. I was surprised at how easy the wheels rolled and the construction of the bag for the price. It was very roomy and able to fit a lot of stuff. I also bought another one of a different color for myself. I loved the bag. It made it through 2 international flights and a lot of hauling around.

Now that I have had this bag for an adquate amount of time, I can truly say it is AMAZING and an incredible value. Similar bags cost a lot more and I doubt if they can perform better. I have taken this bag to Nigeria and on countless domestic trips packed to the GILLS to avoid having to check and it has held up very well. I love all the pockets and the zippers are VERY strong. It does get a little wobbly roll going on when I have it really stuffed, but that's to be expected. It usually stands up by itself if I pack it right, and the outside straps enable me to attach things (pillow, jacket, etc.) to the outside. I have packed up to 2 weeks worth of clothes into this bag and, best of all, even when totally stuffed, it has always fit into overhead bins, even on fairly small planes.

This bag is beautiful! Great quality and actually much bigger than I expected. I'm expecting a baby in about 3 months, and got this so that I can get my hospital bag ready, and I'm very pleased with the quality and size of this bag. It also rolls very smoothly. It also arrived at my house 5 days earlier than the expected delivery date, so that was an additional plus.

As of April 2012, this bag does not qualify as a carry-on with Delta. I tried wheeling it past the gate guard at Atlanta and Boston and got stopped both times. It does not fit in the carry-on measurement guide and I had to check it. Empty it's 23" x 11" x 13." The extra inch in the height doesn't matter but that extra " in length does. Because I've already used the bag, I can't return it. Bummer.

Shimano Tsunkist Backpack - 20L - EBGDPCSLW

Shimano Tsunkist Backpack - 20L - EBGDPCSLWI commute 10 miles to work Monday through Friday and was tired of using a backpack that was not user friendly for a road bike. I used a Tumi, Riptide, Burton and Oakley. I became frustrated with the imbalance I was experiencing with these Knapsacks. I explored the net for bike specific backpacks without a hydration system. I needed to transport my 13 inch pc tablet, mail and papers and clothes. I first purchased the Osprey Metron and Momentum. The back of the pack feel like a wasboard and balances like one on your back. I sent them back. The other Ospreys are flimsy. I finally found the Shimano. Great backpack. The front clasp adjusts up and down. The waist belt is not flimsy. the back of the pack is padded and meshed and let my back breathe in recent 85 degree temperature. The laptop compartment in padded and protected. There is a top padded compartment that I use for spare sunglasses. The front of the pack has reflective designs and hooks for lights. The middle compartment expands to fit clothes and food. The pack does not weigh me down and cinched does not move when cornering. The shoulder straps are form fitting across the length of my shoulders and are comfortable. There are other pockets for pens, paper, and bike tools. Side pockets for extra bottles. Great product!

Comfortable pack but would have preferred the waist strap to be wider. I bought this pack to use for my running commute home from work. It would be more stable with a wider waist belt.

Rothco Canvas Teardrop Laptop Backpack

Rothco Canvas Teardrop Laptop BackpackIf you like to have lots of things in your backpack, then look further. This item is not for you. I have 4 notebooks, 1 1" binder, a small textbook, a medium textbook, and a large textbook. And after a few minutes the inside started to rip. But it was also my fault as I should of been more careful of what I buy.

I was looking for a simplistic design, because I wanted to do some of my own graphic art on the front. The canvas material was great for this. Also I have been using my new backpack all semester and haven't had any issues what so ever. I also have plenty of room for all my book and binders, and none of the inseams are breaking (I read this before for this backpack). I feel that it will last many years to come!

I really like the look and comfort of this backpack, and the cell phone pocket is really convenient, but two immediate concerns upon unpacking.

1) The built-in laptop sleeve doesn't seem to fit a 15 inch macbook pro its own padded sleeve case. The backpack's sleeve probably provides enough protection for the computer, but when inserted by itself into the backpack sleeve by itself, the macbook flops around against my back, which is really really annoying. I'm going to see if I can rig a makeshift solution to make it work and will report back.

2) The lining material seems pretty flimsy and I can imagine it ripping if any sharp-ish object is placed in the backpack. In addition, there are already some minor signs of wear in the material near the top zipper and on the straps.

Time will tell if these prove to be problems, and I'll update with what I find out...

J World Sunset

JWorld 17' Kids's Rolling BackpackMy daughter was thrilled to receive this backpack. She loves the colors and the "cool" factor as using a rolling pack. I love that the bottom is reinforced so it won't fray and that the handle is easy to open and close. It rolls smoothly and the handle locks in place. My only complain (and it's small) is that the interior of the large pocket isn't as roomy as I would have thought. The handle mechanism takes up quite a bit of space. But I am very happy with this purchase and expect the bag to last for more than one school year.

Better than what you find in stores. Handle is a little sticky and loose. Let's see how long it will last in my boy's hands.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Mud Box

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Mud Box, Black, MediumI bought this product to put my Teva Men's Churn Performance Water Shoes in after they're wet, to avoid getting anything else wet and/or muddy as the case may be. The Mud Box works well for this function, and when zipped closed it holds the moisture inside. It is lined with a "tough hydro-tech TPU material" to keep water and mud inside and resist it leaking through, and the top has a "link-seal mesh." Essentially the top is plastic on the inside and netting on the outside. I don't know what purpose the outside netting serves, but regardless the Mud Box keeps water and mud inside of it. The handle on top makes it easy to grab and carry, making it simple for me to carry my shoes without having to hold them separately. For comparison purposes, I have found that the small Mud Box is exactly the right length and width for my size 13 water shoes to be packed comfortably in it. They are not loose and bouncing around and they are not hard to put in. There is about a 1.5-inch depth left with the shoes in it. If you are using this for your clothes or gear then that should give you an idea of the capacity of it. Because the Mud Box is lightweight, it essentially weighs as much as what you put in it as you carry it around. Overall if you need an easy-to-carry container that won't leak for your wet, muddy, or dirty clothes or gear when you're in the field, the Eagle Creek Pack-It Mud Box is a good item to try out. Please check the photo I submitted for an even better idea of what the Mud Box is like.

I traveled to a family reunion with an elderly relative. Had packed my mud box to store my shoes in my pack. My relative had an episode of incontinence, and had brought a baggie for underwear, but not for the set of clothes that got wet. The mud box turned a potentially devastating situation into an easy fix! The small box held all of the wet clothes, and my relative was able to just put it in her suitcase, until she could get home to do the laundry! This would be great for a day at the beach with wet swimsuits, towels that you dont want to mix in with dry beach gear! this was a fantastic idea!

I purchased this mud box for my boyfriend. He plays softball and they normally will play in the rain, so his cleats will get very muddy. They are about a men's size 10 1/2-11, and they fit with plenty of room. He currently has his cleats, mitt, batting glove, and a softball in the mud box, with room to spare. I noticed some reviews stating it is small. I'm not sure what they were trying to pack in it but for my use it definitely isn't.

The only downside, which is why I rated it 4 out of 5 stars, is it doesn't have any additional storage. From the picture I thought there was another pocket to add items so you aren't just packing everything on top of one another, but there isn't. It isn't a huge downside; it would have been convenient to keep it a little bit more organized.

These are great to keep the smell and filth of your shoes inside this bag rather than making a smelly mess of your other close inside your luggage.

Seal Line 5-Litre Cirrus Sack

Seal Line 5-Litre Cirrus Sack, BlueberryThese bags are great. I have used Seal Line bags for years now and I've always been happy with their quality and performance. These are a very thin light weight version compared to others I have used. I've used this bag several times outdoors and it's always kept its contents perfectly dry. However, I read a review on another site that criticized this bag for leaking badly. So, I decided to test it. I turned it inside out and and filled it with about a half a gallon of water and hung it up over my kitchen sink overnight with some dry paper underneath. In the morning there was not even a slight leak. This 5 liter version is great for storing clothing items inside a backpack without worrying about them getting wet. I've been so pleased with this bag that I got a 2.5 liter and a 10 liter bag to go with it. I will definitely trust these bags to keep my clothes and other gear dry on camping and hiking trips.

*New Spring 2011* Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack - Black Currant

*New Spring 2011* Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack - Black CurrantI fell in love with PPB bags and set my heart on this one while creating my registry. This bag is extremely stylish and equally practical as it is extremely roomy, with great compartments/pockets. I love the built in changing station (has been a life saver in quite a few situations where I find a clean changing table) and the best feature is the back pack. I fit so many things into this bag over the past 4months use but have never felt it to be too heavy or had the straps pinching my shoulders.

My only complaint is that I (wrongly) assumed all PPB bags have a wipe-able exterior. This bag is made of a beautiful soft chenille and though I've not yet had any accidents I know that its just a matter of when not if. Given that PPB has such an amazing collection of beautiful bags, I'd check their website (free shipping on orders above $75)and choose a bag with a wipeable exterior.

Also, if you are looking for a bag during their outlet salegrab a few!!!! Totally worth it

My daughter registered this very pricey diaper bag, so we pooled some resources and got it for her. I thought there was really no way a bag could be worth that much $$. But. My daughter uses it all the time and just loves it! The backpack feature is wonderful and when there's no longer a need for a diaper bag, she'll use it for a handbag. The changing "station" feature is brilliant. It's wearing well (showing no wear so far) and was a satisfying purchase.

Single Handle Rolling College Laptop Computer Backpack (Red)

Single Handle Rolling College Laptop Computer BackpackI bought this as a computer case for my work laptop. The handle is padded (a LOT), which makes it easy to carry when I'm not rolling it on the wheels. It was inexpensive yet rugged. While I wouldn't use it in an overhead bin, it is great for traveling between home and office.

18" Padded Back Panel Hiking Daypack Student Backpack School Kids Bookbag

18 Inch Red Sturdy Dual Compartment Padded Back Panel Hiking Day Pack Climbing Backpack School Bookbag With Daisy Chain and Modified D-RingBackpack ran a size smaller than I thought. The space inside is tight. I can only see a child using this back for school. Secondly it isn't very strong. The first day I used it the little silver circular handles for the zip popped right off, because the rings attached to the zips are loose.

The handles are great too and can be hidden inside if you don't want them to catch on something when not in use. The padding is not excessive though so you still need to careful when putting it down with the laptop inside. I would highly recommend this item

Cons:

1. No Straps (had to order separate)

2. The part where you connect the strap, rips off easy, I have to sow it back together.

3. The material is cheap, feels like soft material, if you drop it with your laptop in it, then your laptop is good as broken.

4. No separate compartment for laptop charger or wireless mouse.

Dakine 13-Litre Grom Pack

Dakine 13-Litre Grom PackReally great backpack. Perfect size for a day trip. Worked great at Lollapalooza this year. Very comfortable and feels very durable.

I happened to see a guy at the race track and I noticed his backpack was like the perfect size. No too big and not a little kid size. So I asked him what it was and where he purchased it and I immediately went home and looked it up and placed my order. It came very fast and I absolutely love it!!!! Perfect size with more than enough room for all the things I like to carry,. I totally recommend it to everyone that is looking for a little smaller than the normal huge backpack. Sturdy yet small enough to carry around comfortably.

Buy Dakine 13-Litre Grom Pack Now

Buying a backpack online is tough and unfortunately I could have done better. Specifically, I wanted a backpack for day trips/hikes in a jungle location. Having past good experiences with Dakine (and their large selection) I focused in on them. When I received the backpack it looked sturdy and well-made but very, very small. This didn't turn me off completely as I wanted it small, but I had to let out almost all the slack to get it on my back (5-11, 165, slim build with athletic shoulders). I tested it out on a mile walk to the market. Even empty I noticed it on my back the whole way. The straps are very narrow and rubbed against my neck. Once at the market I was surprised by how much this little thing held (2 jars of salsa, bottle of juice, 2 plastic bottles of coke, a box of aspirin and 4 bananas). When I put it on loaded up it sat better and kept the straps off my neck. However, once loaded I felt the thin shoulder straps more. Im hoping with some use it softens up, and I think it will, but if I had a chance to do over (and more time) I probably wouldn't buy this.

Molle Tactical Sling BAG Backpack --Acu, Tan, Black, Od Green

Condor Ambidextrous Sling BagBought this pack about 2 1/2 years ago while in university, and have yet to find a messenger bag/backpack that I like better. The shoulder strap can clip into a quick-clip on either side allowing for very, very easy mount and dismount of a heavy pack while wearing something bulky, like a motorcycle jacket, and the other clip serves to stabilize the shoulder strap perfectly (my pack does not shift what so ever, kinda important when weaving through traffic).

More so, the primary pocket also has an inner elastic pocket that I found quite useful for stowing my laptop (about 14 inch screen) and still had plenty of room for the accessories, plus textbooks, folders, and notebooks. The webbing complies with the military MOLLE standard, which allows you to attach all sorts of accessories to the available spaces on the inside and outside (hint: triple M-4 mag pouches also work really well for carrying water bottles or beer!) and one more little feature: There is space and a pass through for a hydration system.

As far as durability? Give one to your high school freshman and he'll graduate with it.

Simply put: Awesome pack, you'll save money over having to purchase other bags, it (black) looks cool, it's versatile, and it's quite comfy to carry about (hiked the grand canyon!)

I've had the black version of this pack for over six months now. It has exceeded my expectations which were pretty high to begin with.

My briefcase-style laptop case prior to this was killing my back and I needed something replace it that was big enough to fit a laptop and accessories in, but not ridiculously huge. Oh, and it needed to not kill my back with daily use.

This thing is the perfect size for pretty much everything I've used it for, although I would think it's a little small for a long camping trip unless you're going in commando or survivalist mode. And it pretty much has every feature imaginable. You could strap steaks to it and put this thing into a T-Rex cage and it would come out intact with all your stuff still neatly stowed away. Even if it was swallowed whole.

As someone already mentioned, there is an insulated pouch inside the main compartment to hold a water bladder, not included, (it also has built in elastic keepers and appropriate holes for the straw/hose thing to lace through and attach on the shoulder strap) that is also the perfect size for a laptop. I was pleasantly surprised by that because it wasn't mentioned in the description. Since it's a pretty elastic compartment, you could fit various sizes of electronics or water bladders in it and they will stay in place and be protected and insulated. The main pocket also has a full zippered mesh compartment in it as well on the back side of the middle compartment separator. You can have the main compartment completely unzipped but still closed thanks to the way the compression straps are placed. Very helpful for carrying oddly-shaped things or wet clothes. (There are drain holes in the bottom as well.)

There are two more zippered compartments and all three compartments have water resistant panels between them as another added bonus. The middle compartment has an array of zippered mesh pockets that you can put all kinds of junk in. My initial impression was that the mesh pockets wouldn't hold up since they're very light weight but they've been very durable and the zippers are all very sturdy. The front zippered pocket has a short divider with some pockets and a clip (usually clip my flash drives on it, but is also sturdy enough for keys, etc.) There are also the two hidden pockets as well which are way bigger than they look in the picture and not obvious at all on the black model. All the outside zippers are the heavy duty, covered, no-snag zippers and I've had no issues with them at all. Stitching is heavy duty as well. The top handle has a removable velcro strap cushion.

Overall, this pack has enough room for a huge laptop in a hard case, files, notebooks, recording interface, etc. in the main compartment, power cords, adapters, ipod, mouse, laptop lock, firewire cords, random notebooks, etc. in the middle compartment, and several flash drives, pens, post-it notes, glasses case, etc. in the front pocket. And that's about half full with the compression straps tightened. I've also used it for day-long biking trips (stayed well in place with the stabilizer strap clipped on), hiking, as a gym bag and an overnight bag. Plenty of space and pockets. Very versatile and is hardly showing any wear even though it is usually filled with my "mobile office/recording studio" on a daily basis and I've been really trying to beat the crap out of it.

The shoulder strap took a little getting used to for me because, although well padded, it's the hard condura fabric that can be unforgiving and it's pretty wide. Figured it would dig into my neck and I'd end up taking a blow torch to it. However, I've come to really like it and when you cinch the shoulder strap and cross strap up tight, this thing does not move. I don't use the stabilizer strap very often, but you can tuck that away (mostly) under the back pad. The hip pad part still sticks out, but it keeps the strap out of the way.

This thing is covered in molle compatible straps, inside and out. If you need add-ons, there are plenty of configurations to choose from. I thought it would look a little extreme using it everyday since I work in an office, but on the contrary, I've been asked several times where I bought it and gotten complements on how comfortable it looks from people who are searching for a similar sling-style bag for their laptop. I would also put money down that this will outlast a majority of the trendy bags my fellow hikers and bikers had as well.

Durable, comfortable, versatile, lots of room and compartments that will compress if you don't need them, stays in place and has a very high coolness factor for both features and look. Oh, my back feels much better after switching to this pack. It's worth the money, for sure.

I needed a new backpack for my everyday carry. The backpack I was using was a laptop backpack. It was boxy, it was hell on my back, and it was bulky. I am sure its a good backpack if your a business person or yuppy.

The Molle Tactical sling bag is awesome. Its made out of tough fabric, it has multiple pockets and compartments. Its very comfortable on the back. It fits my body well, though I look like a dork wearing it (I look like a dork anyway.) It has a secondary attachment so the backpack isn't sliding around. A compartment and opening for a water bladder. That compartment can easily hold a tablet pc, a netbook and maybe even a laptop. Buy a neoprene case if you really want to be on the safe side, and yes that will fit into the compartment. I use the zipper compartments for my hand sanitizer, acid reflux, and hand lotion. I have so much extra room in the bad to add stuff for my edc.

Great backpack overall. You can beat the crap out of this pack. Its tough stuff. I love this backpack.

pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The CCW pockets are perfect (for me). Got the universal holster that is velcro'd in. Strongly built and many pockets for much storage. Will be my daily carry bag. Also got the American Flag velro attachment to put on the front of the bag.

I didn't really want a backpack, as I already had one. But I did want one I could grab, sling over my shoulder quickly and go. This bag fit the bill nicely. I haven't used it as a 'sling', but for the little I do carry it, I have no problems. Any of the positive reviews above I will vouch for. This bag is TOUGH!!! All the connectors are as good as some military grade stuff I've seen at work, and the hardware is very heavy duty. The addition of MOLLE pouches will allow you to fix this up any way you see fit, and it is incredibly configurable. The water bladder section is more than ample, and I imagine you might be able to fit a couple of smaller ones in that area.

All considered, I don't have anything negative to say about this bag. If you need a tough 'grab and go' bag that can hold up to a beating, this is the one.

Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel/Backpack Diaper Bag

Petunia Pickle Bottom Organic Cotton Convertible Sashay Satchel Diaper Bag : Calming Cosmos - Can Use As a Shoulder Bag or BackpackThis satchel style diaper bag is amazing! It is one of the more affordable PPB bags..and still superb quality. I own 4 PPB bags and this is the one I use the most. The Daisy Dewdrops pattern is bright and cheery. It actually goes well with a variety of outfits and not as limiting as I thought it might be. It functions well as my daily bag as it looks more like a purse. It fits my essential needs for baby (diapers, wipes, 2 bottles, toy, diaper cream, change of clothes, burp cloth, and receiving blanket) plus my wallet, cell phone, and sunglasses. I can easily fit my Dr. Brown's bottles in the outer side pockets, but the pocket is a bit more shallow than the pockets on my boxy backpack which just means the bottles fall out a little easier when the purse tips over. The diaper changing cover is the perfect size, but it can only be spot cleaned and NOT thrown in the wash. The bag itself is made of thick, durable cotton. You can tell its quality made, but the cotton fabric can pose a problem with dirt as it can only be spot wiped clean (no dry cleaning or machine washing). The base of the purse is made of a leather-type material making it easy to wipe clean when needed. One issue I have encountered, the inside pocket seam that divides the two pockets, has started to unravel in my bag after 3 months of use. The opening of the bag is narrower, because of its shape, which can be a little constricting. However, I haven't found that to be too much of a problem for me. The front exterior pocket fully opens and stays closed with a magnetic tab. The exterior back pocket has a seam, dividing it in two. I wish it did not have the seam and could open fully. That seam makes the pocket less useful for me, but I use it to store my extra straps I'm not using. I do wish there was a matching wallet in this pattern. But, overall I LOVE this bag and will continue to use it daily.

In Summary....

Pros:

-Perfect size and style for daily use

-Thick material, durable, quality made

-Roomy, fits quite a bit for its size

-Lots of pockets

-Price, One of the few large PPB bags for under $120

-Beautiful patterns to choose from

Cons:

-Can only be spot cleaned (No dry cleaning or machine washable)Both bag & diaper changing pad

-Exterior side pockets could be a tad deeper so bottles would stay in place

-Exterior back pocket has an awkward seam, constricting its usability.

-Due to the style (a tapered top), the opening narrows causing some constriction in getting things in and out...but it is minimal and does not cause a problem for me.

-One seam on the interior pocket has started to unravel, but this easily fixable.

I recently ordered three diaper bags, hoping one would work. Unfortunately (fortunately?) this bag was knocked out after only the briefest look.

** PROS **

1. It's cute.

2. I like the strap options.

** CONS **

1. It's too deep, and the side zippers don't open all the way so it's hard to reach the stuff inside the bag once you stuff it in.

2. It has very few pockets. The pockets it does have are decent, but I need WAY more organization on the inside of the bag.

3. The "four bottle pockets" are laughable--they are opposite each other on the sides/end so that if you put a bottle in one (say in the outside pocket) there's NO WAY you're getting a bottle on the inside pocket. You might be able to slip a phone in there or a packet of Kleenex but that's it. I even had to struggle to get a sippy cup in the pocket--no thank you.

When I figured out CON #3, I knew this bag was going back. Especially when combined with how deep it is and the cost.

I have this bag and have been using it for 2 months now. It has its pro's and cons:

Pros:

Great organic cotton

doesn't Look like a diaper bag

Has lots of organizational pockets inside and outside of main zipper compartment

comes with wipes case and changing pad

Cons:

For me the backpack straps are ugly and useless and just are in the way. you can tuck them into the back of the bag though.

I wish the zipper was wider. I often find myself searching to try to find something at the bottom of the bag and have to take several items out to get to it because it doesn't open up very wide.

it is too wide at the base to comfortably fit under the bugaboo cameleon stroller. You have to really stuff it in there and tug it out.

I suggest also order the PPB stroller clips with this bag because it makes carrying it around with your stroller much easier.

My son is 13 months old, and this is my 4th diaper bag. It has been so hard to find the perfect bag, and this one comes about as close as it gets!

We cloth diaper and do not eat fast foods, so a bag that is functional and large enough to hold a day's worth of diapers and food was essential. I ordered the bag in the Moonlight print ant it is fabulous. It is a very classy grey with deep yellow accents. I like the fact that it is very understated and does not come off as flashy or 'busy'. It also doesn't scream "diaper bag". I could easily wear this to a client meeting, and no one would be wiser. The backpack straps are a huge plus now that my son is walking. When I bend to pick him up or chase after him, the bag does not fall off of my shoulders and smack him in the head. I also love that the straps can be tucked away when not in use.

So far, I have 2 cloth diapers, wet bag, cover, change of clothes (including a jacket), sippy, medium food pocket carryon, assorted trucks and toys, changing pad, A&A blanket, wipes case, bug spray, suntan lotion, mommy lotion, hair brush, wallet, my personal items (lip gloss etc) and I still have TONS of room left in this bag for the added things you tend to accumulate when out with a toddler for the day.

The bag is canvas and has already accumulated some dog hair, which I expected. I wish that it wasn't spot clean only, but it will have to do. The outside bottle pockets barely fit my son's sippy and do NOT hold the insulated thermos sippy that he has; which is a shame. I'm not sure I like the look of a sippy on the outside anyway, so I might just use that for cell phone or smaller toys.

It is not obvious to me how to attach this to my stroller with stroller clips; perhaps I have to order the PPB clips and not the universal ones that I have now. Other than the sippy cup pockets and the stroller clips, I love this bag!

Oh, and I am 5'2" and I can hold the bag just by the shoulder straps and have it not touch the ground... awesome. This bag is worth every penny!

I researched several bags before registering for this Petunia. I knew I wanted a backpack style bag, as it would more evenly distribute the weight & leave my hands free. This bag is comfortable enough for that, and the adjustable straps on the backpack are easy to use. I don't really like that the other handles "pop out" when you are using the backpack carry it looks a bit tacky.

The size of this diaper bag is great. When I first had LO I thought it was going to be a bit small, however as I have gotten more savvy with what I actually need to take with me when out and about (i.e. I realized I don't need 15+ diapers, 4 burp cloths, 5 changes of clothes, etc...) the bag has room to spare. I usually pack around 7 diapers, a full bag of wipes (70+ wipes), 3 changes of clothes, 2 burp cloths, food, pacifier, a small "mommy supply" clutch, 2 toys, a pacifier and 1-2 mommy snacks, and STILL have room to add more.

So for a LITTLE while I thought this bag was great the only minor flaw being the way the straps pop out as I mentioned above. Plus, my friends have them, my family has them and the bag is cute. So...why 2 stars?

Well, one bright and sunny day my LO and I were out exploring the world and something got spilled ALL OVER the bag. These bags are spot clean only. Since it had gotten all over, I threw caution into the wind and tossed it into the washing machine. I figured it was ruined if I didn't anyway, and could it REALLY be that bad? Well, yes. It came out with the colors all distorted, some yellowing, and not the polished, pretty bag you want to have as the accessory to you and your darling LO.

If I would have used common sense, I NEVER would have registered for this bag. Ummmm, hello? Having kids = TONS of things spilling, dirt = fun, sometimes fun is measured by the amount of mess that has been made, etc. I need a diaper bag that can handle life, and never have to worry that I might soil it, or that it might pick up dirt from being on the ground, etc. So, I will move on to my next diaper bag adventure.

K-Cliffs Navy Outdoor Daypack Biking Backpack Crossbody Messenger Shoulder Bag

K-Cliffs Navy Outdoor Daypack Biking Backpack Crossbody Messenger Shoulder BagHigh quality lightweight day pack. Comfortable to use. Most loose edges are taped or heat sealed. This will ensure this product has long life. I don't often see this, even on backpacks costing much more. If you're looking for an over-the-shoulder day pack, grab this one now.

I bought this, planning on using it as a workout bag to take to the gym.. After putting my shoes in the bag, there really isnt much space left even for a shirt... This would be a good school bag, with all the extra pockets and all. Other than that the bag is made of good quality. But look elsewhere if you plan on carrying more than a armload of things.

This backpack is the perfect size for carrying things for a day's trip out of the house. It would probably not be big enough to be used as a school bag though. I use it for bike riding and for hanging around town. It fits easily and comfortabily over the shoulder.

This a nice looking and perfect sized little bag. However, the interior coating peals off and flakes like little grey snowflakes almost immediately after buying the bag. It will get all over whatever you put in the bag. Not worth buying!!!!

It is light and have enough capacity for bike commute if you are not carrying a laptop. But, it slips from back to side quite often and therefor not suitable for relatively long and serious bike commuting.
