I have been using my son's icky high school backpack for about 12 years and decided I needed to upgrade for an upcoming trip. I looked at a lot of backpacks online and I think I picked the best. My favorite thing is all the compartments. And, particularly, the one that has a place for pens, my phone and some dollars bills for tipping. It's a good size and that's what I wanted. I love the molded straps and the chest clip that helps it stay in place. I wouldn't have minded a waist strap, too, but could live without it. It fit perfectly in the overhead bin of the airplane. I had to pack extra shoes and an outfit as I was heading straight to a party from the airport. I used it the whole weekend and it was nice to have everything I needed which would never have fit in a purse. The other thing I love is the compartment for sunglasses. Very nice and accessible. I didn't use the lined food part, but it was nice to have for future outings. I did use both side holders for water and juice. The only thing I would have added is an outside compartment against my back to hold thin documents that I could just grab. But it was just opening one zipper (I'll have to learn which zipper opens which compartment!) and there they were.

A really nice bag for a really good price. Even paying its MSRP of $55, it's still a bargain. I'm sure Dakine could've gotten away with charging in the $70+ range for it, but I'm glad they pass the deal onto us. I didn't think I would use the cooler pocket, but I've used it nearly every day. I can't say enough about this bag it's big, roomy, perfectly priced, well designed, pretty, fits my 14" Lenovo perfectly including books and above all, it's comfortable to wear. I've also found myself using the chest strap, it really comes in handy.

I'm more than pleased with this bag, I just wish I ordered something a little fancier than black, maybe the gray or the green one, but it's still gorgeous. May order a second one for some variety.

Got this to replace an older one for my high school student. Apparently, Pokemon is somewhat timeless in terms of its cool factor, so this was high on his Christmas list. Good colors and layout, but probably too small for a high school backback. Bummer, but probably should have shopped harder.

My son loves his backpack but it's a bit small. I don't think medium is the right description for it. I purposely bought it because it said medium. Targus CityGear 16" Commuter Backpack

This backpack got enought compartments for you to organize your material. I use it for work so I carry with the laptop, different types of cables and adapters (several) set in one compartment with charger and bluetooth mouse. Another compartment I got with diagrams and other documentation, You may have a binder inside with no problems. One of the side pockets is for the noise canceling folding headphones when I take a plane. Another compartment for all my documentation when traveling with easy access and also a real practical hook where I latch my keys so I do not worry about the metal detector.

Now you have to be aware that all this space means the more you put in it, the more weight you will have to carry that is just physics. I carry a lot of weight, the backpack have really good cushioning so it does not hurt you but the weight will affect your back if you carry it for long time.

Also I have to say the cushioning is good but I plan to reinforce it, because as I said before is one of my working tools.

I carry allot off stuff with me daily, and this bag can build out all! Very organized compartments. Best non leather I've had.

and its shown no sign of weakness or lapse in reliability. it looks great, holds everything i need it to as a lazy highschool student, and never clashes with anything (i bought the dark blue one). the surface of the leather straps have started to wear which i lovethey've softened up a lot since i first got it. i'm immensely impressed with the durability of this backpackit has no holes anywhere, even on the bottom where all my previous more conventional backpacks have really taken a beating (i treat my stuff rather roughly). i love it, i really doand the warranty will let me enjoy it for as long as i like.

I bought this for my sister, BIG NightmareBeforeChristmas fan. She was in awe and really really happy for it. Takes it to school everyday and even though we wash it every two weeks colors haven't fade. It's very spacious and her school supplies are well distributed within it.

Dickies Venice Backpack

I can't believe that I got this backpack for the price that I did! It was very cheap, but the backpack isn't! Like most Dickies products, the backpack is very durable and well-made. I bought it for a first grade child and it is the perfect size. It isn't too small and it isn't too big. It fits her well. I fully expect that it will hold up over an entire school year and most likely, even longer. The bottom portion of the backpack is thick, which is nice, because a lot of backpacks tend to tear or rip at the bottom. The zipper is great. It is really smooth and doesn't stick easily. This backpack is definitely worth my money!

I needed a backpack that could provide in TE way my previous bag had (a bag I'd owned for over 12 years). This bag is good: lightweight, one large pocket and two small ones not complicated. My only concern is that the material seems thin so I wonder how it will hold up. It's been a month and a half so far and I have no complaints.

I was a little apprehensive about the camo, it appeared to be a little gaudy in the photo but at the price I figured it was worth it.

Wow, am I glad I ordered the Camo, the colors are much more muted than the picture and are also more coordinated than it appears in the photo. It is no longer pictured but had a lot of greens and browns. In the photo it appeared to have patches of bright yellow that were very gaudy but it turns out the yellows were more of a light brown or dark cream in person.

My only regret is that I didn't order more.

I love this laptop case. It's stylish with a nice design without it being too girly. It is a soft case so don't expect much protection for your laptop. If you do a lot of traveling, do not buy this case. It is basically a sleeve with handles and a shoulder strap. I use it as a way of protecting my laptop from dust and for extremely light traveling. It does the trick for me and the price was right. I also appreciate the side pocket in the front for my mouse and wires.

This is the second bag I get for my 15.6"acer...the first from a local store was too small althoug it stated it was for 15" range laptops. I'm not quite sure why I'm only giving this item 4 starts... maybe bc it looks a little cheap. However, the zippers work great, and it's exactly what I needed to protect and carry my 17" + laptop. One of the ONLY bags out there to fit the bigger ones. It also has a good bit of stretch, so my chunky power cords, etc. fit in the 2nd pocket just fine. I could fit the power cords and a mouse and I'm sure I could have shoved more stuff in there, bc the bag is stretchy.

The North Face Router Backpack

Before the north face router daypack I used the north face surge (the old version) I have been a backpacker for many years and I have worked in designing combat gear for the army. This is my opinion on the router pack after a little more than a month of use.

The router backpack is nearly identical to the new surge backpack with the main difference being the increase in size, from around 30L to 40L. The materials that went into this backpack are excellent and the newer generation seems to be lighter and stronger than the previous. In particular I would like to mention the shoulder straps which are very comfortable and make bearing heavy loads (+20lbs) much more comfortable. The waist strap in my opinion is not really a useful feature, I never used it and in my old back pack the buckle caused the backpack to erode at the base.

The new top carrying strap is smaller, lighter and better located than in previous models as is the zipper design. By having a bi directional zipper that can be closed not directly at the top the bag ensures that the zipper won't open itself from the weight of the content of the bag. The bag is now equipped with a semi hard lining in the bag designed for back support. While it does do its job, this is not a hiking pack. It will no supply the support if you place heavy hard irregular shaped object close to the back of the bag. The tablet pouch is very nice, I would prefer a more elastic material that could accommodate an ipad with a case, but for me that wasn't a make or break feature anyway. What is a make or break feature however is the loss of the second side (bottle) pocket. In the older models this pocket was a dual layer fabric which could be accessed one from the top and one from the side. A beautiful innovation. The new pocket is a single and only on one side of the bag. On the other side is a pouch designed for a laptop charger or other small items. In older north face bags this was located in a zippered pocket under the bottom of the bag, thus keeping both side pockets. The side pockets are important because usually I used one for a water bottle and one for an umbrella when it was raining. If your water bottle is narrow enough you can have both on one side but this also takes away from the ability to balance the load of the bag equally across both shoulders. A good feature of the Router bag is the abundance of small zippered pockets, different from the older model but whether you like it or not is just a matter of taste. I do. A new innovation of the bag is a tapered bottom. This is designed to bring the weight closer to your back which it does well but it has a downside in that the bag can no longer be balanced standing up. Its default position is face down, which is very annoying if you want to access your things/ keep it clean

Lastly I would like to address the size of the bag a major issue. The bag is very big, but the extra size isn't necessarily an advantage for school. I needed the extra space for textbooks, but the way the bag is designed, all the extra volume comes from having a taller/deeper compartment. This means that having books lined next to each other results in the same carrying capacity with more space on the top. Placing books on top of each other like that will likely result in damaging of the books. The added depth makes the bag seem useful for trekking or as an overnight pack, but when you take into account the flimsy back panel and lack of hydration pouch, it is really only ideal for an overnight bag or for traveling. It is my opinion that you should buy this bag for that and try the surge (which is significantly cheaper) if you want to use it for school/college.

I bought this primarily for the cover which I have to say fits perfectly on my chromebook. The other items i have not really used much. The HDMI cable included is not compatible. The chromebook has a full HDMI port and the cable in this kit is mini HDMI HDMI so it won't work. the Earphone is really good as well as the USB cable. I would have given it a 5 star if the HDMI cable would be compatible.

The laptop sleeve fits my Samsung Chrome just fine!

The headphones aren't really good with loud music, but it has a mic (for phone calls.)

The chargers [2] (For phones, CD players, etc. are cool too. They fits most phones, except iPhones.)

I don't really like the Fish-bone wrapper? I'm just use to bundling my headphones in my pocket...

Tumi Vapor Extended Trip Packing Case

The first time I used this luggage it looked like it had been through a cage full of gorillas. It dents and scars badly, I have used it 3 times and it appears to be 15 years old. Would NOT recommend this product.

The suite case is very light and nice the look is good but after 2 times of use it is full of scratches which makes it look like used for a long time.

Sanrio Mosaic Hello Kitty Messenger Bag

This year, for 3rd grade, my daughter(8 y/o) wanted a shoulder bag like the bigger kids. This bag (unlike most messenger bags) was perfect for her size. It's roomy enough inside to hold the textbooks but it's overall size is compact, so she doesn't look like she's carrying mom's bag. Only problem, so far, is that the front zipper pocket lining has come undone at the bottom seam. It's just the thin lining that covers the (thicker) outside canvas, so the pocket hasn't, technically, lost it's function. I'm sure I could buy some fabric tape and fix it up myself but, it happened within the first week of use!! This tells me that the bag is not durable and it may need more "fixes" in the near future. Someone might say that perhaps the item is not authentic Sanrio product, but in reality I've had problems like this before with Sanrio items. With something like this, you're not buying quality, you're buying a name (with a super cute character on the front).

Badlands Superday Pack

Its by far the most comfortable pack I have ever worn. Before you buy a pack off the shelf from some sporting goods store that will fall apart in 5 years, Do your self a favor spend a few more dollars now and have a pack for the rest of your life. I bought this pack about 6 months ago, and rather than review it when the tags were still on it like 90% of folks do, I wanted to put it through the ringer before I put any reviews out. I am extremely hard on my gear, and have found that buying cheaper things has only ended up costing me more in the long run. Because of that I am always a little skeptical with the gear I buy.

I put this pack up next to the blacks creek line, eberlestocks, and a few other smaller systems out there, and decided this would be the best fit for me. The amount of space in this pack feels greater than it is because the design allows you to manipulate your gear and other items in a way that is not only convenient, but practical. The material is great quality, and I have not been able to rip or tear it yet (not that I've tried, it has just been what has happened to me with every other pack I've used). Zippers, at least on mine, were stiff at first. This is something I viewed as a good thing because it felt like that stiffness came along with sturdiness. They have smoothened out over time, and are still sturdy.

I have carried everything from weapons, to optics, to clothing in and on this pack, and have been able to load it down with a good amount of weight. That being said, the ergonomics are very sound. It rides very nice, and if you adjust it to fit properly then the weight you are actually carrying will feel much lighter.

One thing that may help some, I have very broad shoulders and alot of packs I have used in the past are narrow, and the straps really dug into my neck. This pack does not have this issue. I am able to rest it right at the top of my lats, and carry in comfort.

I would recommend this pack to anyone, but I would say make sure you try the other big names to make sure you find the right fit.
