I had an OGIO before. It took me through 4 years of rough usage. I bought this for my wife and she likes it.
I got this bag for my husband. He was hoping to find one that he could carry around his camera and other misc stuff, but also his smaller laptop (15") for work. In the product description it states the large pocket is 19" not including the strap... This is a flat out lie.. I have NO IDEA how they managed to come up with that number. The largest pocket is only 13.5" and the zipper opening for access to said pocket is only 8"! Basically, the largest pocket is all but useless; you couldn't even fit a average size hardcover book inside the opening without risking damage to the book.

This backpack would be good for pre-school use. Not intended for school books. The arm straps ripped first day of use. This back pack is good for a change of clothes and naptime blanket. Roomy enough for books/folders but the construction will not hold up. Daughter was very disappointed.

I have been using my son's icky high school backpack for about 12 years and decided I needed to upgrade for an upcoming trip. I looked at a lot of backpacks online and I think I picked the best. My favorite thing is all the compartments. And, particularly, the one that has a place for pens, my phone and some dollars bills for tipping. It's a good size and that's what I wanted. I love the molded straps and the chest clip that helps it stay in place. I wouldn't have minded a waist strap, too, but could live without it. It fit perfectly in the overhead bin of the airplane. I had to pack extra shoes and an outfit as I was heading straight to a party from the airport. I used it the whole weekend and it was nice to have everything I needed which would never have fit in a purse. The other thing I love is the compartment for sunglasses. Very nice and accessible. I didn't use the lined food part, but it was nice to have for future outings. I did use both side holders for water and juice. The only thing I would have added is an outside compartment against my back to hold thin documents that I could just grab. A really nice bag for a really good price. Even paying its MSRP of $55, it's still a bargain. I'm sure Dakine could've gotten away with charging in the $70+ range for it, but I'm glad they pass the deal onto us. I didn't think I would use the cooler pocket, but I've used it nearly every day. I can't say enough about this bag it's big, roomy, perfectly priced, well designed, pretty, fits my 14" Lenovo perfectly including books and above all, it's comfortable to wear. I've also found myself using the chest strap, it really comes in handy.
Great Price! Good Thick Quality! Large size bags, can fit 2 pairs of womans or mans flat sandals. or one pair of bulky platform heels. I would of given it 5 stars, only wish it came in all colors. Happy with this purchase. I will probably purchase more. They can serve as toiletry bags or for misc.

I purchased this backpack for my nephew who is 14 years old. I actually let him choose the color scheme from the ones that were available online and he really liked the blue/navy/gray one. It's a nice pack with comfortable straps and a good amount of room. It doesn't have a TON of space but I would say you could fit 3-4 classes worth of books in it at a time. I'd say it's a medium sized bag. When I was in high school I would have needed a slightly bigger bag but depending on your course load and if you have a locker where you can drop some stuff off between classes this pack would be adequate. My nephew loved the look when it arrived. It also seems durable, not cheep, like it would last a few years.

This is designed well enough and the zipper worked properly. I returned it because it is not what it seems to be according to the description. I stumped upon this when I was looking for those plastic compression bags for travel. From the description I thought that this was a compression bag covered with netting type fabric. I confess that perhaps it is my own ignorance, as I am an infrequent traveler, but this bag has no compression type ability at all, if we are talking about compression like the space bags. It is merely a container made of netting with a zipper attached. This makes luggage about as compressible as when I sit on it. If you are looking for a net container, this is it and I would rate it 4 or 5 stars for that. However, I think the description is misleading, I was disappointed, and had to go through the aggravation of returning it.

I love these bags and have bought 8 total not all at once. I have noticed that the bags have gotten smaller in the last six months. Not a problem for me but if space is critical you should know that I have experienced considerable ( 1.25 inch) narrowing. The zipper downgrade was disappointing but these are still good bags. I think many products lose consistencies as they are outsourced to variety of makers.

Jansport continues to make great quality products. I have a 17.3in laptop and it fits perfectly. My laptop is snug and secure. There is plenty of room for my binder and two other textbooks. There is a nice compartment in the front to hold plenty of smaller items. The shoulder straps are well made and comfortable and the zippers are sturdy. My son got this last year to take to Illinois for Christmas. The water bottle was used in the van for the drive from Texas to Illinois, as a water bottle by his bed and at meals as well. I've used this as my daily-use backpack/laptop carrier for almost 2 1/2 years. It still looks nice it's aged well. I get compliments and people asking me where I got it frequently.
It's just okay. It's an alright product for the price. It fits will on the sides, but is much to long. I suppose you could use the extra fabric to carry it, but the extra space is a little awkward. It's pretty thin, but thick enough to feel slightly protective. It would be a bargain at 5 dollars and a fair price at 10. Although not a deciding purchasing factor, I would like to mention that the mouse pad is this insane giant grey felt and there is no wristband. I would've purchased a different sleeve, but this is one of the better cheaper-end sleeves. My advice: If you want a top quality sleeve, you'll have to pay top dollar. This case will suffice if you don't have the cash, but don't expect to much more than what you paid for.
The former bag I was using sounded like a freight train coming through. This bag is quiet as a mouse and roomy enough for all my belongings too. Very pleased with my purchase.
When I first saw the sleeve it looked so small. But it fit like a glove and offers a nice buffer for little bumps. It gives just the right protection for putting my laptop in my purse with ALL my other stuff.
Have an HP Elitebook with the 17" screen and the huge brick power supply. This was the second backpack I ordered the first one was another brand 'fits most 17" ' did not include MY laptop. My laptop fits in this one, it will hold some files and the power supply, has a pocket for my tablet, a zipper pocket for pens/pencils, more pockets in the front for pens, pencils, thumb drives, a mouse, etc. The front pocket is really deep and goes down to the bottom of the bag. I'm 5'6 and visit different plant sites for work. The laptop and power supply are heavy, and a shoulder bag made me list to the side like a disabled war ship. This backpack fits well, holds what I need, and looks to be well made with heave stitching, heavy duty zipper, good heavy materials. I will update after a few months about durability, but after trying it for a couple of weeks, I am happy with this purchase.
