Shedrain WindPro Auto Open & Close Umbrella

ShedRain Umbrellas Luggage Windpro Vented Auto Open and Close Umbrella, Navy, One SizeMy son, who lives in Chicago, wanted a wind-resistant umbrella as a Christmas gift. I looked at several on different sites and read all of the reviews. Those for this product looked the best and they were right! The umbrella is great for the Windy City Weather and the auto open-close feature is a valuable plus.

This is a very nice umbrella. Very strong against the wind, however the mechanism that handles the auto open/close is not very well-engineered. The mechanism broke after about three or four days of use. Now the umbrella stays open and I can't fix it.

It is really convenient that it both opens and closes automatically. It holds up well in a strong wind. It has the coverage of a full-size umbella but closes to a small more storable size. The mesh carrying case allows allows for evaparation when wet and is a handay way to sling it over your shoulder for toting around when not in use.

I liked this umbrella, it was great for walking in the rain in windy conditions, but the auto open & close mechanism stopped working after a little over one winter of use and now it is useless.

Wonderful umbrella: Just the right size. Seems sturdy. Opens and closes with the touch of a button. The strap on the carry case is little more than a string. I imagine it will break if it gets caught in a door or in bags of groceries that I am carrying

Puppy Backpack

Puppy BackpackMy 4 year old niece is really into puppies. She LOVED this gift. It is so cute! The puppy head is the size of a dog's head, so it is not too big, but big enough to hold the books that are included in the box or any little treasures that preschool kids love to tote around. This would be a good gift for a 3-5 year old girl or boy. And the price is right!

Military Patrol Tactical Assault MOLLE Backpack Black

Military Patrol Tactical Assault MOLLE Backpack BlackOur soon to graduate son has put this back through it's paces, and it is holding up admirably. Everyday he tosses it, crushes it, shoves it in a locker, rips it out, and God knows what else, yet there it is, taking everything he can throw at it. I am glad to have finally found a decently priced backpack that will hold up to the rigors of high school life. Wish I had found this years ago and maybe I would've purchased only 1 vice the 2 a year we had been averaging.

Great product.

Kiva Luggage Compress-It Compressible Packing Cubes Set

Kiva Luggage Compress-It Compressible Packing Cubes Set, Black, One SizeI like these bags a lot. They do compress but the best thing about them is that they hold your items snugly and keep them from shifting around and getting wrinkled. They also remain pliable compared to the plastic compression bags which become rigid and are difficult to pack around. I did not over pack my case but the fabric around the zipper on the large pack frayed and came un-stitched. I simply sewed it back which reduced the overall capacity by a tiny amount but it is holding well. I had read reviews on other websites that the bags came un-stitched so was not surprised when it happened to me. Even with that, I would choose to purchase the item again. If you would be bothered by having to re-sew a bag, based on my experience and what I had read in other places, I would purchase a different bag. However, if you are fine with restitching a 2-4 inch section where the zippers come together, I would highly recommend this product. The method I used was hand sewing, rolling the fabric up against the zipper which provided more "bite" for the stress where the zippers came together. It took me 10-15 minutes and was very simple.

these are great compressable packing cubes. ive read reviews on other sites that complain about the quality of the zippers, but i haven't enountered a problem. the large cube is the most versitle...it can hold about 8 t shirts with no problems. the medium cubes are too small for shirts, but could be good for undergarments, socks, bathing suits, etc. i wish kiva would offer different configurations of this item. i would love to have at least 3 of the large cubes for my packing needs. kiva, if you are reading this, please offer a set of just the large cubes!

We used these on a recent trip to France. It has a zipper system to do the compression for space saving. They are small, socks, underwear, maybe t-shirts, & similar will fit. Mostly, I found the one I used to help with containment, as in keeping the stuff I stored in it neatly collected in one place. Plan to use again.

I own a set of 3 Rick Steves Packing Cubes which are very nicely sized and function well. I needed an additional set of packing cubes for my wife, however, and was attracted to the idea that the Kiva cubes had compression capabilities. And while the Kiva cubes function great as packing cubes, the compression capabilities are lacking.

The Kiva cubes are well constructed with solid sides and bottoms, along with mesh tops for viewing contents. The Kiva cubes dimensions are slightly smaller than the the Rick Steves version, but sizable enough to fit the desired amount of clothing. The cubes contain an additional zipper that wraps around the cube, which is designed to compress the cubes when closed. I found, however, that when the cubes are fully loaded, the zipper compression does not adequately compress the cube, and most of the time the compression zipper can't even close completely without fear of it breaking due to the strain. In the end, I didn't even bother with the compression zipper, and instead just treated the cubes like standard packing cubes.

I think Kiva should revisit their design if they want to create a compressible packing cube. Small side compression straps would function much better than the zipper system. I originally gave the product 4 stars because the packing cubes perform their main function well, but I removed a star because the compression system seems more gimmicky than useful. Given the higher cost and slightly smaller dimensions over the Rick Steves Packing Cubes, I would just as soon choose them over the Kiva Compression Cubes.

The compressible bag works well for sweaters, scarves, gloves and knit hats. The small size is perfect to throw into a purse or bag because it keeps the items together, prevents them from getting caught in keys, and makes it is easy to find when you need it. The compressible bag works less well for lycra items since those are already somewhat compressed by their nature. I found this particular pair of compressible bags a bit of a challenge with the zipper---I have a different set with a smoother zipper, but for some reason, the zipper on these snags. I needed to put my finger between the bag and zipper to get it working.

Toy Story Bakcpack Set - Toy Story Backpack Aliens sET

Toy Story Bakcpack Set - Toy Story Backpack Aliens sETWow, it's tiny. But if it's "too tiny" that is entirely my fault because the product demensions are on the item page. I even measured it out before purchasing, but when you see it in person, it's a little smaller than you think. I wanted small because my 2 1/2 year old son is quite little for his age and I thought other toddler sized backpacks would absolutely swallow him. While I can't completely speak of the durability because we just got it, It seems like its durability will be comparable to the 5-8 dollar toddler bacpacks at major department stores. I am thoroughly disappointed at the backpack for the price. It's only worth about half the price I paid for it. (I paid 15.) I only bought it because my son loves Toy Story and I couldn't find a small Toy Story backpack anywhere. Turns out, this one may be too small and I paid way too much. The backpack has a detachable case with it, good for pencils and such. The velcro that attaches the case to the backpack seems very strong. I don't think we will have to worry about the case becoming lost due to the velcro not holding. But, the case arrived with some sort of yellow stain/discoloration on it. Not at all happy about that. Overall, I would not make this purchase again.

Tommy Bahama Luggage South Island 20 Inch Duffle Bag

Tommy Bahama Luggage South Island 20 Inch Duffle Bag, Olive, One SizeSpacious, well made and functional. Heavy nylon outer fabric, with a fabric liner on the inside, bottom of main chamber is a web material with a plastic barrier. This makes it see thru, so you can tell what is in the bottom compartment.

The trim and straps are NOT leather, its a vinyl product that looks like leather. This brings up my main concern with the bag, durability.

I will put it to the test no doubt.

The bottom compartment is a nice feature, although, not the easiest to access if you have the upper loaded as well.

All said I think I overpaid for this bag, it was listed at $89, had this been in a retail setting, I would have thought that was overpriced. As a bag of similar build and materials, should be about $50.

Nice size. Looks Great. Great Quality.

Useful separate pocket on the bottom of the bag.

I liked this bag so much I bought a second one.

Kelty Captain Backpack

Kelty Captain BackpackHere are things that can be hard to tell before you actually get it in your hands:

Construction quality is top-notch. The type you would have found in a boutique company USA made pack from 20-30 years ago. This one is made in the Phillipines.

The zippers are YKK. The smoothest & best.

The front pocket is hard to figure in photos but basically it is a pleated, huge pocket that zips on the right and gracefully carries a ton of stuff. Awesome. Better than expected :-)

The shoulder straps have fantastic padding. Super comfortable. Best I've had.

The inside "slab" pocket is like a file divider. It is best for documents, like it says. A bit snug for a 15" laptop. Not to worry as the main compartment is huge and accommodating for the size of this pack. I think it could handle 3 laptops if needed w/ no problems! Again, very pleasantly surprised by the great capacity.

The orange color is pretty bright and a tad shinier than I anticipated, but it's bold and cool, especially for SF Giants fans like *me*!

Carry handle is nicely padded.

Sunglasses can fit in top pocket (hard to see in photos) but not bigger or wider glasses. Certainly great for phone or keys or iPod though.

So far I love this pack and it appears that it should last for quite a while. Appears to be a very good value.

Recommended! Buy with confidence.

UPDATED: Decided to order both other colors due to some more conservative business needs. Both nice, but the blue is *stunning* and a total keeper. Orange is a lot of fun, but too bright for biz use in my opinion (keeping it though because it is really cool looking and will use for lots of other stuff).

I own several other type of Kelty backpacks for hiking/back country and have thus been very satisfied with their backpacks, specially the prices compared to Osprey and North Face.

Main reason for purchasing this backpack is for school purposes.

Pros:

Very sturdy and durable both from the outside and inside, including the stitching and zippers. Internal compartments for pencils, calculator, etc and laptop/notebook, which is great. Shoulder straps are comfortable and offer plenty of length to make adjustments. And looks and feels great, too.

Cons:

I don't like the chest and waist straps. They kind of get in the way, but I am sure you can cut them off and it would take care of this problem. Other than that, it is a great backpack.

I can see this backpack lasting for many years to come under regular use. Definitely worth the $70 to $80 investment.

Tenba Messenger Photo/Laptop Bag - Small

Tenba 638-224 Small MessengerThe small is actually only 1.5" less is width and 1" less in height and the same 6.5" depth as the "large" version. I opted for the small as it was less conspicuous by a hair and this was why I was buying a messenger style bag in the first place. It looks like a briefcase or satchel and not at all like a camera bag helpful when dealing with potential thieves and airline gate people.

The 6.5" depth is not a true measurement as there are two internal padded sections to provide for a laptop and this reduces the interior depth for a camera to 5.5" at best. Not a problem with a small DSLR like a Canon 50D or a Nikon D90 but very tight for a full size pro DSLR (which needs a full 6.5 inches).

The small holds a full size DSLR with a medium lens attached (135mm or less) and there is room for one full size lens like a 24-120 or 24-70 lens and one side section that will hold a standard flash or a small lens (50mm prime for example). The interior is well padded and comes in two different colors, a dark gray and a very light gray. The lighter inside makes it a lot easier to find camera items which tend to be black. The large bag is 1" taller and so will do a better job with a 70-200mm lens but on the whole it will not hold much more than the "small" one as it is only 1.5" wider and the same depth.

The bag has a large flap with a lot of Velcro to secure it along with the two buckles. There is a top zipper so you can access the inside of the bag without unbuckling it but it is not going to work with a full size DSLR. The strap is well made and has an offset section that is well padded and "grippy" so it will not slip of the shoulder. As you cannot put more than about 9 lbs. of gear inside for a total weight of 12 lbs. in total these shoulder is quite adequate.

There are several aspects of the bags design that are less than optimum. First is the lack of any exterior pockets large enough for a flash or similarly sized piece of gear. When I want to add a flash to a shot I don't want to have to unfasten the two buckles and open up the bag to get to the inside each time to retrieve it and again to put it back for the moment. It is a waste of time and it provides more opportunities for dust and dirt to get into the bag and into the camera and lenses.

Another drawback is the lack of any provision for a waist or security strap. A waist strap can help shoulder the load, keeps the bag close to your body which helps in both outdoor and urban settings, and a waist or security strap makes it very hard for a thief to grab the bag off your shoulder and run off with it. This is a common oversight and even LowePro will provide waist straps for its junior bags for small cameras but leave them off its Stealth Reporter bags intended for use by pros carrying 15 lbs. or more of very expensive gear.

The satchel has a small amount of material that can be folded in before securing the flap to help keep out dust and dirt and windblown water but it is not going to be all that effective. This is a good city bag but not a bag to protect your camera gear in hostile conditions. Too bad because adding a side section to the cover flap would make a big difference but this is a detail that Tenba overlooked. If you intend to go ahead and get this bag and use it in possibly dusty or dirty conditions it would be worth the expense and effort to have someone sew on the side flaps to the bag using a little coated nylon fabric.

Recommend adding a small flat see-through pouch for all the small items you may want to get to quickly (like a cable shutter release or lens cleaning supplies, filters, etc.) as this bag has none and the exterior pockets are not even big enough for most cell phones.

I looked at a dozen different camera satchel bags by Promaster, LowePro, Tenba, and others and the Tenba was the best, not great but a lot better than the others. I have 4 LowePro bags and the Tenba is as well made as any of them and more reasonably priced.

Be wary of the colors as they are lot brighter than appear in the pictures, especially the "olive" green which is more of a metallic green, and the orange which is also a metallic orange.

There really isn't much to say here because there isn't much to complain about. As with any bag, there are places I might want a pocket and places I wouldn't, but Tenba is so phenomenal at providing an excellent number of different kinds of pockets that I might only move some of them. But then I might not. This bag can hold everything I need to bring, plus all the extra nonsense I don't need but think I do to be prepared, while still staying compact and comfortable.

The bag comes in a number of colors. I chose the olive green. Had Amazon sold the gray I'd probably have gone that route, but you do have options. I would assume Tenba is not exactly weighing aesthetic high on their list of priorities, so I'm not exactly sure why they offer so many color options, but they do exist. This is not to say the bag is ugly, but it's not shockingly good looking either. When comparing it to other camera bags, however, it's often preferable in the looks department.

More importantly, the functionality of the bag is absolutely phenomenal. Amazon has a nice little video from Tenba on the page, and though their videos try to do the Apple product presentation kind of thing and are pretty much missing the mark, the video is very informative and gets all the high points of the bag across that you will want to know about. Two of my favorites are the waterproof bottom of the bag--I shouldn't have to explain why that is such a wonderful thing--and the extremely tough hooks that hold the strap to the bag.

Speaking of the strap, let's talk about comfort. I'd always been under the impression that every strap was uncomfortable when the bag was made heavy from being overpacked by a neurotic individual (me). I was nervous about Tenba's messenger because there is no padding on the strap. For whatever reason, even when this bag is packed heavier than a chiropractor would approve, the strap is still comfortable. In fact, even if the bag is weighing me down it is still comfortable. The padding on the inside is wonderful. It is another great feature of the bag, as it isn't just soft to make you feel good but uses very breathable fabric to avoid overheating its point of contact.

Everywhere on the bag there are pockets galore. You won't believe how much you can fit into this bag. I have a Lowe Pro bag for my video camera, which also is designed to hold a 15" (or smaller) laptop plus everything the Tenba is designed to hold yet it is twice the size. It is an enormous bag. If I were to use the Lowe Pro bag for my still camera, like I do with the Tenba, I could fit the same amount of stuff in both but the Tenba would be half the size and far more organized. I'm still wowed by it.

Another wonderful feature is the removable photo insert. If you're buying this bag you're buying it to take a laptop and a camera with you, most likely. However, you may not always want to take the camera. That's fine. You can just remove the entire camera section, without disturbing the organization of the bag, and put it elsewhere. Alternatively, if you want to only take the camera equipment and leave the bag (which I just did recently), you can pack just the photo insert in your suitcase and have your equipment well-protected. The bag is designed for the camera, a couple of lenses and a flash. Though I only have one zoom lens (the rest are primes), I'm able to fit six lenses, the camera and a microphone. That's only in the camera insert (which, by the way, can be easily accessed from a top zipper so you don't have to completely open the bag to access your camera). That doesn't account for the laptop sleeve and the amazing number of pockets you have available for hard drives, card readers, cables, etc. With every other bag I needed to make sacrifices in what I brought with me. I do not ever have to do that with the Tenba Messenger.

There are many more things I could say in its praise and probably a few minor things I could complain about, but hopefully my point is well taken: this is an amazing bag--buy it. It's probably also worth mentioning that a bag with these capabilities generally is about twice the cost. If you were to buy an equivalent from Crumpler or Lowe Pro you'd be paying more. I am just floored by what his bag can do at any cost, but for it to be pretty much the cheapest in its class is just incredible.

After perusing probably hundreds of bags to carry for my final year of undergraduate work, I finally came to the conclusion that this was the bag for me. I am extremely particular about what bags and gadgets I use, and the demo video for this bag in particular is what won me over. It seemed perfect. Since the reviews are quite numerous for this bag, I'm going to just stick with my first impressions and the bag's capacity for my review.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

When I received my Amazon box, my first thought was that the bag must be folded up inside the box or otherwise just mushed in very tightly. When I opened the box, the bag was indeed flattened, but not at all folded or crammed in. The bag is admittedly smaller than I expected, but only by a fraction. If I had to guess, I thought it to be about 15-20% larger judging by the product photos. I'm above average in size (5'11" and 220lbs.) so maybe it was just my perspective playing tricks on me. Regardless, its size did not turn out to be an issue at all. In fact, it's a strength of the bag.

CAPACITY:

I have a lot of crap. Seriously, when I'm older I might wind up being diagnosed as a gadget hoarder. I prefer to think of myself as a sentimental early adopter...or an electro-connoisseur, if you will. Everyday I carry all of these items to school in this TENBA bag (and this bag alone):

~ 10" Netbook (ASUS Eee PC 1015PN-PU17-WT 10.1-Inch Netbook (White))

~ 10" Tablet (ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet Computer (Tablet Only))

-~with leather case (VIPERTEK Multi-Angle Leather Folio Case Cover for Asus Eee Pad Transformer 10.1-Inch TF101 Android Tablet Wi-Fi (Black))

~ DSLR Camera with TWO lenses(Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens)

~ Point-and-Shoot Camera (the large faux-SLR style Casio Exilim EX-FH20 9.1 MP Digital Camera with 20x Optical Zoom and 3-Inch LCD (Black))

~ iPod Touch (Apple iPod touch 32 GB (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL)

~ Nintendo 3DS (NEW Nintendo 3DS Aqua Blue (Videogame Hardware))

~ Nintendo DSi (Nintendo DSi Matte Blue)

~ Flip-style video camera (B-Stock Creative Vado HD Pocket Video Camera 8GB + Accessories Pack (Red))

~ Smartphone (Motorola Atrix 4G Android Phone (AT&T))

~ Headphones in carrying case (Bose® IE2 audio headphones)

~ Large 3DS case w/23 games cartridges plus accessories inside (Nintendo 3DS Pull and Go Folio Blue)

~ A leather billfold-style wallet

~ A small case with spare SD cards

~ 2 laser pens

~ A few ink pens

~ And one very fat over-sized glasses case for when I switch between my nerd glasses and aviator sunglasses

ALL of this fits in the case simultaneously, and without issue. I should warn you that if you plan to pack any more than what I've listed into the bag, you'll start having issues. As it stands, I am using none of the three large flat pockets on/in the bag. I have the front straps completely loosened and the bag is *just* accommodating all of my technojunk as it is. I might be able to fit in a spiral notebook or two, or maybe something small like some more laser pens, but anything big enough to fill one of the large pockets would be seriously compromised by the bag's bulge unless it were flexible (like a spiral notebook.)

All in all, it feels like the end user is given options when it comes to the pockets. I doubt all of them can be used effectively at the same time (unless nothing too large were put in the bag), but I don't thin they were necessarily meant to be. I can definitely see re-purposing this bag in many different ways for trips, new classes at school, taking to work, and so on. I've found the arrangement that works best for me, and it just doesn't happen to take advantage of all of the bag's pockets. Other users might end up using a completely different set of pockets than I have. Who knows?

OVERALL:

This is the best cargo bag I have ever owned. I was tentative at first because of its size, but that wasn't a problem. I considered buying Tenba's backpack instead, as a messenger bag weight down with ll of this junk would put quite a strain on just one shoulder. It turned out that the bag itself was so light, the material so breathable, the frame so rigid (yet flexible), and the padding SO incredibly plush that it isn't at all uncomfortable to lug across campus for me. I am somewhat of a big guy and I am by no means a weakling (quite the opposite, in fact) so my strength is working in my favor, but that's not the point.

Pound-for-pound, everything I put in this bag FEELS much lighter than it does in another bag of equivalent capacity. I'd say that this bag, between all of its features, FEELS 1/3rd as heavy as my Canon camera bag filled with the same amount of electronics and goodies, which is very significant considering that the weight of all my gadgets plus the bag is around 20 pounds on a scale.

If you're unsure about this bag, but are as much a gadget-fiend as I am, get this bag. It really won't do you wrong. Just take caution and DON'T OVERFILL IT....as much as you (and I) may want to. ;)

UPDATE 6 WEEKS LATER: I have added a video to really show off the holding capacity of the bag. There have been some substitutions over the last 2 months, as well. The tablet now has the keyboard dock rather than the leather case (just as thick either way), there is an extra lens on my DSLR (the large lens), there are some extra little bits, and the Point & Shoot camera I listed above was used to shoot the video. Also, the video shows off how well the bag has held up for 6 weeks of heavy use. It has zero flaws other than a few stains so far.

I am a professional photographer and have been looking for a "small" bag that would easily carry/organize several lenses and my laptop.

I bought this bag and recently put it to the test on an engagement shoot I fit: 580EX II Flash, 16-35mm f2.8, 135 f2, 70-200 f2.8IS, + 2 radio poppers + my 13" macbook pro in the bag easily.

I decided to try to test this bags limits and just put my old 15" laptop + 70-200w/hood + 24-70w/hood +85 1.8 w/hood +35 1.4 w/hood in the bag and I'd say the bag is full but not stuffed. Keep in mind this is with the lens hoods on in shooting position, I'm sure if I turned the hoods back I could get a bit more gear in and I could probably slip a flash in the side as well if needed.

It does not hold a full size camera with battery grip "nicely" but it does fit and you can close the bag and secure it, w/o a battery grip you'd have no problem.

I love all the pockets, love the styling, love the functionality, if I had any complaints maybe it would be that theres too much padding when the insert is in? But that's probably a good thing!

I also love this bag for on the go meetings, I can slip the lens padding out and fit 2-3 wedding albums + laptop into the bag.

Want Tenba Messenger Photo/Laptop Bag - Small Discount?

But I bought the wrong size. I chose the small because my laptop was 15.4in. Which fits great, but when I got home from my trip to Hawaii and bought a battery grip, my Canon 300d started to be a tight fit when packaged with the laptop. That being said it does still all fit even with the battery grip, but the depth could be increased by an inch, and I would be happy.

So moral of the story, I guess one size doesn't fit all, and subsequently why they have more than one size. I love the bag regardless, everything does fit, but its abit to cozy for some of my most delicate electronics. This is not there fault so my star rating is independent of that.

The cover itself is bright and beautiful as far as the design goes and the pattern is on both sides. There is a side pocket for carrying the charger in and the zippers are smooth and seem to be sewn in well. I especially like the detachable adjustable shoulder strap, though it also has handles for carrying it as well. My HP laptop fits in it perfectly and I expect to carry this case for a long time. I understand that it's not leather and not meant to last a lifetime, but I think it's worth the money O spent on it. The price was right and I won't have to worry about scratching up my laptop. The inside is smooth and it appears to be well made. I am very happy with this purchase and it suits my needs. I would recommend this very pretty laptop bag for anyone wanting a well constructed case with the features mentioned above.

This is a fun and stylish bag! It has pretty good padding, and the front pocket is pretty big. You can't put a ton of stuff in the pocket, but the mouse, some papers, and smaller stuff fit great.

These neoprene bags are terrific for carrying and storing computers. This is my third bag similar to this one. Others were for a 10" netbook and a 17" laptop. They hold all the items I need to carry with me when needed, and keep everything stored together. This was a little larger than I needed for my 11.6" netbook, but works just fine.

I just received this bag. Super fast shipping. The bag fits my new 13.3" Sony laptop like a glove. Side pocket has zipper, which is a nice surprise since I couldn't make that out in the pictures. Product seems sturdly built, but haven't used it yet to be able to say for sure. Overall, very happy with it.

Targus C4 Backpack for Laptops up to 16-Inch TSB70903US(Red/Gray)

Targus C4 Backpack for Laptops up to 16-Inch TSB70903US(Red/Gray)I have been using Targus computer backpacks for years and am a big fan -Targus products in my experience show high quality in both design and build. This backpack is considerably smaller and lighter-duty than my favorite bag so far, the Targus CVR600 15.4" Groove Notebook Backpack.

The design is good and practical -basically an updated but stripped-down version of the CVR600. For example, instead of side pockets that zipper closed, there are net pockets only that are basically good for water bottles and the like. The material is lighter and the padding on the shoulder straps skimpier.

And that brings me to the issue that caused me to go back to the CVR600 after using this backpack for a month and a half. I was getting some very bad shoulder pain -or more precisely, with this bag my shoulder was not recovering from strain I put it under doing something else. In fact, the pain was just getting worse. After switching back to the CVR600, the pain has begun subsiding dramatically.

I am 6'3" and over 250 lbs, so unless you are a similar size I wouldn't worry much. The geometry of how this hangs on my back will probably be very different than yours. But if you are a big guy, this bag *could* mean some physical discomfort as it has in my case.

Recommended if you are smaller than me and like the idea of a nice, lightweight but protective laptop backpack. It's a winning product, just not for me.

I have a variety of sizes of laptops from the larger Thinkpad to the smaller HP Elitebook. This backpack fits both of these beautifullytogether or separately. I can also put my Kindle in its case in another pocket, my cell phone, glasses case, and a few books too.

There are places for pencils and even bottled water a smaller bottle. I love the front pocket which makes it easy to access things I need to access quickly on days when I can not carry them in my pockets or coats. The straps are comfortable and don't hurt my shoulders like some of them do.

If you are carrying a huge load of books and supplies to class or other places, this might not be a bag for you. It is primarily for a smaller loads of books and supplies as well as the laptop, ipad or other tablets. This is not for the long day of carrying all of your books with you everywhere, like I have done in the past.

I have brought this with me on quite a few trips and found it really handy, but I only had a few books with me. I have also used it for other things like shopping trips at fiber festivals, and craft fairs too. It was helpful as I needed to have my laptop for later in the day so I could carry it with me, protected and separated from my other stuff.

This is not waterproof, but resistant, so if you have to walk a long way, you might want to put your electronic components and books in plastic bags inside the backpack, just to be extra careful.

All in all, I love this backpack because it is not over-sized and is perfect for those times when I want to carry my laptop and smaller other things, and don't need a large backpack for larger loads. It is handy and well divided for convenience. For larger all day loadsI suggest a larger backpack.

I received this backpack through the Amazon Vine program, and just in time for a cross-Atlantic trip. I don't have an iPad or other tablet, but I do have a laptop that can become a pain to carry, especially once you include the separate mouse, keyboard, and various wires.

The backpack has a nice pocket in the main compartment for a laptop, and you can fit some more books or notebooks in the compartment too. The front pocket is where you would store the tablets or wires, and I found it quite useful too. And there is a smaller bottom pocket I haven't used yet.

To be honest, I don't see a lot of functionality that is specific to laptop carrying. There isn't, for example, a dedicated mouse holder or wire hook or whatever. It's a backpack with pockets. But as a backpack, it's quite nice. It's sturdy, comfortable, and generally thin in design, so particularly good for stowing under airplane seats. I expect I will use it quite a bit, for both long-distance travel and everyday use.

The Targus products in general are good quality and practical, and this is no exception. This is one that I reach for when I only need to take a laptop or a tablet and a few cords and maybe a spare battery and external drive and other small items with me. It works well with a variety of different devices, that's probably it's biggest strength. This is a very versatile backpack. Don't rely on it to protect from heavy weather or heavy impacts though, this is a lightweight, versatile carry bag for electronics.

This backpack by Targus is an excellent bag for carrying one's personal electronics. Instead of a laptop I had a 10" Android tablet with about the same thickness and weight as a netbook, so I had space a-plenty in the designated laptop sleeve. The extra sleeve in front of the laptop sleeve was perfect for my bluetooth keyboard and a few miscellaneous connectors, and the extra space in that compartment (the farthest back one) was more than enough for a notebook and two books. The middle compartment was useful for storing my anti-glare glasses and a few other extremedies, and I could put away my charging cable in the front compartment with, again, plenty of room to spare. The straps are comfortable and easily adjustable. Not a single complaint about this backpack: I've had others that had too many spaces, or straps that dug into my shoulders. Good job Targus!

Rothco Flexipack Molle Tactical Shoulder Bag - Coyote

Rothco Flexipack Molle Tactical Shoulder Bag - CoyoteI bought this for my patrol belt (aka battle belt) which I where when I hike. It has a roomy main pouch with a drawstring closure to keep the contents dry, a zipper closure mid-pocket that is decent size, and an outer open top pocket that is narrow but is also inside the buckled closure. It does come with the shoulder strap in the picture but I've never used it, I just stuffed it in the slit pocket all the way on the back.

It has the MOLLE attachement straps and they are a little difficult but you get a decent attachment to whatever platform you are hooking up to. I was wearing it on my patrol belt over the summer when I went hiking and though it was a little bulkly it carried my Frog Togg poncho, a Datrex package, my binoculars, a Poptart, matches, bug spray, wet ones, etc. Yeah you can stuff this thing. Also I now have it attached to my Fox Advanced Mountaineering Pack. It makes for great external storage so I don't have to dig through my ruck to get frequently used items.

I highly recommend this bag.

it has plenty of room for all of your needs, separate pockets keeps your valuables safe and secure, its easy to carry by strap or conviente hand on top

Not bad for the price and shipping (Go Commando Gear). More than enough room for an EDC item. I also have the UTG multi-functional bag. This bag is slightly less identifiable as the "Look! I carry a gun!" bag. If you need an EDC bag, this is one is great for shorter term (time wise). If you're going to be carrying a bag on a hike, you may be interested in the one I mentioned above, from UTG, since it has more padding and a place to carry a water bottle. Either bag is great to own.

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Boy's Quilted Backpack

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Boy's Quilted Backpack, Sports, One SizeMy son got this backpack as a gift for his first birthday. He is now 4-years old and we have used it every week for the last 3 years. It's excellent quality, the fabric is still in great condition. Yes it's true the color does fade a bit but I think that's very normal of fabric material in general. My son LOVES his backpack especially since he has his name embroidered on it. Having his name on it helped him to learn the letters in his name! I am now looking to order one for my second child who also loves his big brother's backpack ;)

I highly recommend this product and have given it as gifts as well!

This backpack is perfect for my 2yr boy twins.. It was the perfect size for them. It is great size to pack for 2 blankies and stuff toy and snAck pack for their preschool.. I would recommend this to all my friends.. We also got alot of compliments..

The straps have only two button holes, you can't make the straps smaller for a small kid.

Also the size of the backpack has no proportion. It is more wide than long.

We love our stephen Joseph back pack we bought for our 20 month old son. it is big enough to hold his cloth diapers change of clothes, water bottle and snacks on days out. We plan on using it for travel purposes to keep his toys and items for the car and I think it will be perfect.,

The only downfall I have is the day we received it, I went to adjust the straps to a smaller size for my son and one of the buttons fell right off. But it was an easy fix.
