Incipio MacBook 11-inch feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case - Matte Iridescent Teal

I got this cover 3 days ago. I did a lot of research on it, the speck satin shell, and the incase perforated. I chose against the speck because it did not have vents in the bottom and I was really concerned about a case causing my new macbook air to overheat which is apparently a common complaint. I think the incase design is a good bet, but in the end the fact it is ugly, has a lot of holes for dust, a $60 price tag, and several unprotected spots led me to choose the incipio feather.

I did this in spite of countless reviews complaining about fingerprints being a big detractor. Well, my only complaint with the incipio is, low and behold, the fingerprint problem. I didn't think it would be that bad, but it is really, really bad. In addition to fingerprints, it also collects dust which doesn't wipe away very easily.

However, in the end I'm still pretty happy with it. If you have a macbook air you pretty much have to get a hardshell case and there aren't that many good options yet. If it weren't for the overheating problem the speck would have probably been the better bet, but with a major investment like the air I'd much rather have a fingerprint issue than an overheating issue.

I am really pleased with the way this case fits the MacBook Air 11.6 (latest model). If you orient the pieces correctly when you put them on the first time they fit right on the computer with a slight snap, granted, they can be a chore to get off but it can be done if done carefully without forcing the corners. I wanted to avoid carrying the computer around without a cover because the metal case feels very slick in my large hands and I was afraid of dropping the computer. The MacBook Air has the same slick metallic feel without the cover as my iPad 1 and 2. I had to buy covers for them also but nothing as light weight as this cover.This beautifully designed form fitting, light weight case adds just the right amount of "grab" for my big paws without adding bulk and unwanted weight to the MacBook Air. I recommend it for the above reasons, just don't think you are going to take it off three times a day and not damage it. The surface is durable and can collect fingerprints, especially if your hands are greasy. The surface wipes cleanly without much effort. All in all a very well designed cover that adds very little weight to an already lightweight Apple computer. Highly recommended.

This is a very good case and great, unique color. Snaps on easy and stays on. Only gave it a 4 out of 5 because it's a fingerprint magnet and kind of hard to clean. It has a matte, sort of rubbery-ish feel which makes it very easy to hold onto without fear of slipping out of your hands. Overall, good buy. And FYI description says it comes with a micro-suede pouch, but it doesn't.

It has been very difficult to find protection for my MacBook Air ... the only cases with shoulder straps were big and bulky, and none of the sleeves had shoulder straps (come on, manufacturers, would it be so difficult to put a couple of D-rings on a sleeve so we could add a shoulder strap if we want one?). While this obviously doesn't have a shoulder strap, it is sleek enough (no added bulk) that I just drop the Air in my purse and I'm on my way. I like the slightly textured feel, and love that it is available in some fun colors.

I finally came on the Surge 2. It has ample room with lots of pockets here and there to put all you needs. I do not think I will use the lap top compartment but you can fit some clothes in there.

I got this book at a steal of 83 and 91 total with tax. It was delivered in 24 hours.

If you want a bag that is nice and big and has a lot of compartment space then I would recommend you get this one.

Case Logic 16" Laptop Sleeve

I had bought this item for my 17" widescreen HP DV9000Z. I was concerned about it fitting because this item is listed multiple times under different names and each has a different size. I had read in one review that it didn't stretch at all so I was really concerned. For the price I thought I would try it and return it if I had to. In reality it fits perfect and the material does infact stretch a good amount. Not only does it fit my notebook perfectly I was confused on the pictures that there was two small pockets on the front because of the two zippers. It is one large pocket enought of fit my power supply, 2 cords, mouse, and more. It streches around anything you put in there. I had bought it so I can keep everything together at home around the house and then easily slip it into my briefcase. I am so glad I had gotten this 15" eventhough alot of description says its for a 15.4 inch screen. If I had that size screen it would be too large. So make sure you measure your laptop and not assume the 15" means 15 inch screen.

This is a well made quality case. It won't provide the full protection you would get from a laptop bag, obviously, but it does protect your laptop from scratches and it keeps all your computer bits together, while traveling. It fit my Toshiba Satellite perfectly.

I purchased it seeing the 16" size in the description and was not sure if this was meant for a 15.4". But, when you receive the package and pull the sleeve out of the box the packaging surrounding the sleeve says 15.4". I almost turned to a friend and gave it to him thinking it just might not fit my new Toshiba. I had an old sleeve that fit like a glove on my old 15.4, but wouldn't fit my new 16". This new sleeve fits the sides snugly, but I have about a one inch gap at the top when the zipper is closed. I use this gap space for just cords and cables. The pocket on the side (on the top if laying flat) are pass-through. You open both sides of the pocket (zippered) and you can put your whole arm through the opening. The pocket has enough room for my power cord, external hdd, and ext wireless mouse. Hope this review helps.

I do believe that the whole purpose of a laptop sleeve is so that the laptop inside would not slide so much. Once I received this sleeve, I immediately put my Macbook Pro in and it left a good 2"-3" space near the top. [Also, the Case Logic label sewn inside the side of the sleeve seem like it can potentially leave small scratches on the surface of the laptop].So I returned it and placed another order for a Case Logic laptop sleeve that is especially sized for the 15.4" Macbook Pro [Case Logic 15.4" Macbook Pro Shuttle]. Zeroshock III 14-inch Notebook Case

I've looked around for a lot of cases to fit my Lenovo T410 w\ 9 cell battery and found most to either be too big or too tight (because the 9 cell battery sticks out of the back). I checked out the Zeroshock III based on recommendations from Lenovo forums and discovered that this case fits the laptop perfectly! The padding on the inside is memory foam very dense and very protective. The outside of the case is rubber-like; I didn't like it at first but now I realize that it's semi-waterproof perfect for keeping the laptop safe if you accidentally spill something on it or have to carry the case in the rain so I can live with it. Although it's not advertised as such, I've sent the case (with laptop inside) through airport scanners and TSA didn't have a problem with it.

I wanted something that'll fit in my backpack so I can carry my laptop around and this was the perfect product for me. Its padded nicely on the inside and easy to open and close. I would purchase this again if I had to.

This case fits my Lenovo Y480 perfectly (with the wireless antenna), and it opens fully/flat, which is more convenient than a slide-in sleeve. The egg-crate padding is thick enough to protect the laptop but is still light weight. I'm quite satisfied.

Osprey Kode 38 Pack

Let me start by saying that I really love this backpack. It has a large capacity, but can be compressed if you aren't using all the space. The pack is separated into two main sections: a dry section and a wet section. One thing I don't exactly like is that as you shove more things in the dry part, the space you have in the wet part decreases, and vice versa, so you don't have as much space as you think you do.

The wet section is pretty simple. It has a small reinforced metal hole at the bottom to allow for drainage. Inside there are two sleeves, designed to store a probe and shovel handle, and a mesh pocket that could house a beacon or something of similar size. The top closure is a pull string, not zipper, so you can really cram a lot of stuff into this pocket even if you don't exactly have the room for it.

The dry section is large and accessible via a zipper on top (under the top compartment) or via zippers that run along the entire front side of the pack (the side touching your back). Inside is a zipper mesh pouch with a clip for your keys. Other than that this compartment is wide open. One thing I don't like about this compartment/pack is that the top is wider than the bottom. This may not be a problem for most, but I found that my heavy items (which are supposed to be at the bottom of the pack) were also my bigger, more bulky, items, and so they didn't fit as well as I would have desired. This is really my biggest problem with the bag, but I imagine that other people don't have this issue. I avoid it by simply padding the bottom with clothes in order to push the bulky stuff further up to where the pack is wider.

Inside the dry compartment is a long zipper that gives access to the hydration pocket. This pocket has a reinforced metal drainage hole at the bottom of it. There isn't much to say here except that this pocket can easily handle the 100oz camelback hydration pouches.

The top compartment is designed to store a helmet and goggles. The bottom of the top part has a zipper pouch that could store a few small things. I have some tools in mine. Opening the main zipper of this top part will give way to the helmet storage and a soft pouch with a Velcro closure that stores your goggles. This whole compartment also has a zipper that allows you to expand it in order to accommodate larger helmets, or whatever you want to put in it.

On the outside there are straps for skis, a snowboard, snowshoes, or pretty much anything you can think of. What I love about these straps is that they aren't all over the place. There are few straps and they aren't overly long or made for obscure scenarios. One thing that I can see people may have trouble with is strapping a snowboard to the pack if it is fully loaded. One can stuff a lot in the pack, but that will decrease the amount of space you have to work with the limited length of the straps. Overall, I don't think fitting a snowboard on would be a problem even if the pack was very full. One could probably fit skis and a snowboard on it if they had the desire and strength to carry it all.

Bottom line I think this is an excellent pack. I would recommend it to anyone who does snow sports and needs a little extra cargo capacity. If you're going to go on a backcountry expedition this is probably the pack you will want to take. You can fit the avalanche gear you need as well as spare clothing and food for a few days.

The only issue is the color, it's actually not Black but kind of dark grey / foliage. Anyway it looks fine like this.

Swiss Gear MYTHOS Computer Backpack Blue

I think this is probably the first or second review I've ever written for any product. I felt compelled to do this because this backpack as saved my valuables countless times. I've had it for about 2 years and it is still in excellent shape. I just got back from a marching band rehearsal and I left my backpack (with laptop in it) on the field where it got drenched with rain, I mean heavy rain. Got back and although things at the bottom of the pockets got a little wet, my laptop was absolutely dry. This thing is a tank.

This backpack has sturdy material that will endure. Unlike other backpacks that we've had, there are no threads or fabric for the zippers to get caught on! The compartments work well for us, separating books from a lunch box and a smaller part for pens, etc. It's our second backpack by Swiss Army and the brand, not surprisingly, impresses.

Although I have only had this backpack for about a month, I feel confident in writing a preliminary review (something I rarely do). Over the years I have used many different backpacks and each one has had some major flaw that led to their demise. This backpack though is able to surmount almost all of these flaws in such grace that one may never even recognize how much of an accomplishment this design truly has become.

Pros:

The separate laptop compartment is extremely useful and leaves plenty of room without feeling loose.

The Velcro strap that comes over the top of the laptop carrier portion is very useful for securing my charger set (more on that later).

In the main compartment, there is a flap that goes down which allows the backpack to stand up. Not only is this useful for helping to keep the backpack upright, but this is extremely beneficial so that sharp objects (like the corner of a binder) does not begin cutting through the bottom of the backpack. This was a major problem in the last two backpacks I have purchased from other companies.

There are additional smaller compartments that allow for easy organization of items that would not work as well in the large, main compartment.

Cons:

My charger set does not fit well in the compartment that I assume it was meant for. Probably because of the size of textbooks I carry (which I consider the traditional 8x11 or slightly bigger size). However, I remedy this by using the space I have at the top of my laptop space and Velcro the charger secure there.

Space, especially in the main compartment, is not a lot. I can get 2-3 textbooks in there but hardly anything else. Also the size is not adjustable like I had with previous backpacks. But if you aren't a Sherpa or overloaded hours student, you are probably going to be okay.

If the quality suddenly deteriorates or there are any issues that are not already specified, I will add them later. This is a great product and I highly recommend it!

High Peak Trango 65 Backpack

I bought this item from a company called Camping Maxx and soon after purchase, discovered a flaw in the construction. The response from the retailer via the manufacture reps from High Peak was "put a piece of tape over it because they are all like that because it's a new line." Not exactly the response I was looking for as a new customer of the retailer and of High Peak items!! I just said "thank you" and considered it a valuable lesson learned. I've since stopped looking at items from both retailer and High Peak though I don't really know yet whether it is a minor or a major flaw. Regardless, it was enough for a newbie like me to discover so I seriously question the quality control on any future items. QC and the response are enough for me to steer clear though I do like the lightweight bag. I've been told by more experienced backpackers that the shoulder straps are not thick enough so that may be another thing. I've managed to keep my pack weight under 22 pounds and am not doing thru hiking yet so, so far, it has been fine hence the generous three stars.

I like this bag size and look, but it is NOT the advertized dimensions, which I was able to guess from pictures, so I took a chance on ordering it; it is LARGER -at least 12x16x8. I have a 3 week old and so far I love this bag. It has a lot of room for everything I need and I like the way it looks as well. The only thing that seems to be wrong with it is the plastic case for the wipes seems to pop open all the time so the wipes will dry out. I have fixed the problem by turning the plastic case around, however, the wipes are not as easy to access. Other than that I have no complaints. I would recommend this bag to any of my friends.

I just received this bag a few days ago, but I already love it! I was torn between the backpack model of this bag, but I am so glad I went for the bag instead. From the frontal view, there is a pocket on the right left side where I can fit two bottles. The front left pocket fits diapers, I fit my wallet on the front right, and the side left is obviously for wipes. I just use one of the refill packs that you can buy that has the re-closable flap with it, and it fits perfectly, I even fit a travel-size hand-sanitizer behind the wipes in the same pocket. My baby doesn't use a pacifier anymore, so I just use the paci pocket for my chapstick. It has a large zipper pocket on the front part of the outside, very roomy as well. On the back outside part of the bag there is also another flap pocket, the length of the bag. The inside is super roomy, it has a zippered pocket, several pockets on the inside as well, and then the main compartment is very spacious. I fit enough for a 3-year-old and a 2-month-old, and still have space left, but it's not so big that it looks like a piece of luggage. The bag itself is not heavy, and it looks nice, it even received the stamp of approval from my very fashion-conscious tween.

Multi Pattern Owl Canvas Backpack

I've had this bag for only two weeks and already the stitching holding the straps together at the top has torn. I fixed that, and then my strap also tore at the bottom. Unbelievable I spent this much on it for two weeks of use. It's so nice looking but I wish I could use it more.

Bag came early and in good quality. The picture shows bright fabric used, my bag came with dull browns and blues and no bright colors at all. It also had an ugly brown interior. I like the bag but wish it was brighter.
