Icon Squad 3 Backpack Mil-Spec Yellow 3517-0284

Icon Squad 3 Backpack Mil-Spec Yellow 3517-0284Highly visible. For me, it negates the need to buy a bright colorful jacket or helmet, which isn't really my style.

I commute daily and I've also taken a trip over 400 miles. It sits very well on my back and because it is not a hard shell style, it conforms to your my body's position. I can fit everything I need in it. Laptop/Tablet, lunch, cell phones, remotes, etc. I even use it when I'm not on the bike.

Downside: The shoulder straps aren't adjustable. They seem to be made to fit over a riding jacket so when I ride without one, the straps have play in them and the bag slumps down a few inches. You can adjust the bag around your waist and in the chest area, but you can't tighten up the should straps like a regular backpack. Not a huge deal. I just prefer everything to be snug while I'm riding.

The upside to that downside is that because there is some play in the shoulders, if you're not wearing a jacket, or wearing anything thinner than a biker jacket, the backpack will catch the wind and send it right down your back. It feels SO good on hot day!

Overall, great buy.

When open the box the color and appearance looks spectacular so much epic.

Very recommended for Sport bikes or Water proof travelings

Spiderman 16" Backpack with Detachable Lunch Bag For Boys

Spiderman 16' Backpack with Detachable Lunch Bag For BoysMy 4 year old was so excited to get this backpack, but like the previous review, we have a broken zipper on the lunch bag after almost no use. He has never used the lunch bag, but it has been attached to the backpack. Now the zipper on the lunchbag is missing, and it is therefore useless. Crossing fingers that the backpack zipper hangs in there a little longer. Only used 3 weeks, twice a week. Very disappointing!

I gave this as a gift for an under priveleged kid. I know he lobed it, he is set for school and sleepovers!

I ordered this product well in advance of the first day of school and saved it for my spiderman crazy son until he started preschool. Well, we are one week in (or 2 full days) and BOTH zippers are broken. I can't believe it. They are cheap plastic and they won't hold up to a 4 yr old at all. Also, you can't tell from the image but the whole spiderman image is sparkly.

Sunrise Rolling Backpack Color: Love Black

Sunrise Rolling Backpack Color: Love BlackThis backpack is everything I dreamed of and more. I bought it to use as carry-on luggage. The backpack has plenty of room to store extra clothes (just-in-case), entertainment items (books, electronic devices), and a small purse. I used it as a backpack when I had my suitcase with me, and otherwise as a rolling suitcase. There's a mesh pocket in the back to keep the backpack straps out of the way when not in use. I've only taken it on one trip so far, on Southwest Airlines. I prefer to keep my carry-on under the seat in front of me and this bag fit perfectly (although tall people note, it stuck out the tiniest bit not a problem for a very short person like me). A Dasani water bottle fit in the bottle mesh on the side and did not fall out. There's also a handle at the top that I used walking down the aisle of the airplane. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.

This backpack is a good size, plenty of room for books and supplies, and there is a cushion on the back for comfort when carrying. The color is actually navy blue with accents in white and green, the inside is a light teal. A little over-sized on someone with a small frame. I love the fact that my child can roll it if it is too heavy to carry and she likes it too.

Great quality, durable, good brand my daughter uses it for school and its holding up with the wear and tear. I would recommend this..

The backpack is of decent quality but the main reason for purchasing a rolling backpack is for the quality of the handle and the wheels. Unfortunately, the handle is not good and it gets jammed making this effectively useless since it's too rigid and heavy to be used as a regular backpack.

I used to hate back to school shopping, because backpack choices were either trendy but poorly made or extremely expensive. My son found this backpack at Amazon and liked it for it's "cool" factor. It was only $38 which was still considerably less than I have paid for quality backpacks (Jansport, LL Bean, Swiss Gear). My son has been using it for 6 months and it has not ripped or shown wear at the seams or zippers. He is in 8th grade, so he is carrying a lot of books in this pack. He is also 14, so he throws it around and is not particular about how he treats it. I am happy that this pack will last the entire year and I didn't have to fork out $50 or more for it. With the " cool" factor, he may even be ok with using it next year!

Ogio Newt II Mono Laptop/Tablet Backpack

Ogio Newt II Mono Laptop/Tablet BackpackSling bags are somewhat of an anomaly currently for the techies out there looking to get the best portability combined with strict space requirements to fit their gadgets. I've been hunting for the right sling bag for four years now, having gone through four separate bags and after receiving this Ogio I have to say I might finally be satisfied.

First, I'm a college student. So the best bag for me may not be the best for you. But I need to be able to carry my 15.6" laptop on some days and others I would rather simply take my tablet. This Ogio bag has enough room for me to take both, while I admit with my extended battery and large laptop it is a tight fit, causing the zipper to bulge ever so slightly (we'll see how it holds up long term) I am overall amazed they accommodated my laptop, even if inadvertently.

4/5 due to not having the foresight to slightly extend the bag and make a 15.6" fit comfortably.

Second, I need a bag which can easily be taken on and off frequently, sometimes in the smallest of spaces such as the subway. It can easily pivot on my body and let me open up the front compartments for a pencil, my charger, calculator, etc. It also comes on and off easily with one arm. The back is padded well for comfort and the strap can be adjusted to fit your size easily.

5/5 for portability and comfort.

Finally, I needed something which would not only allow me to store my computer and a single notebook, but more than that. Amazingly, I can fit my laptop, tablet, one textbook (hardcover, 800 pages) and a thin notebook in the two main compartments without hassle. Then I get a third compartment in the front, which is practically unheard of in quality sling bags, that can fit my pens, calculator, chargers and smaller assorted items.

5/5 for storage

Overall I really like this bag so far, moreso than the Belkin sling which I acquired on Amazon or the two other slings I've tried from other stores.

A few notes, it has a key ring, a zippered pouch in the front compartment and a couple small pockets there. It also has a small zippered pocket near the waist that has a headphone port in it, this pocket is lined with what feels like a microfiber material, the same material found in both the laptop and tablet pouches. The back padding is a cheap foam, but relatively thick at probably a quarter inch and the bag material is a weatherproof nylon.

I chose this bag over a powerbag sling bag, specifically due to the lack of space in that bag. Hopefully one day a manufacturer will find that right blend in a sling bag that I've been searching for, until then this Ogio has got me covered..

Oh, and kudos to the supplier AV House for a quick two day delivery for free.

This is a good looking bag to carry your gadgets and paperwork around in. It's a little smaller than I had hoped so there won't be space for much else if you're carrying both a laptop, tablet, chargers and I guess a book or a notebook but that should make it kind of perfect if you're using it for classes. It does have lots of smaller pockets to hold whatever little stuff you might need to store and the pocket which seems perfectly made for a cell phone is a great addition. The strap that adjusts the should strap is kind of ridiculously long; I rolled mine up and secured it with a velcro cable tie. This bag has a really slim profile and great back padding. I just wish it had a little more internal space so it would make a better weekend bag. But it's perfect for school or going to the library or if you have work to do in a coffee shop or something and is probably nice enough looking that you could get away with taking it in to most offices.

Love this bag at the airport! Keeps my phone and wallet tucked undermy arm. Allows me to keep iPad and laptop safely next to by back, not the furthest pocket out. Style and size and weight are the best.

Read Best Reviews of Ogio Newt II Mono Laptop/Tablet Backpack Here

I was previously using an InCase Compact Backpack. I bought this to go to a Sling design and I really thought the pocket on the side would be handy for cell phone and passport retrieval without removing the backpack.

The good: The build on this bag is excellent and very high quality. The styling is nice and the bag looks very professional. The weight distribution is also very good.

The bad: It simply is too small and cramped. I thought my InCase bag was on the smallish side but the pockets on this bag are far from generous and poorly designed. The most sizable pocket, for the laptop and tablet, is very adequate and leaves some room to spare with a 15" laptop but the way it is designed, you cannot put anything in there except your laptop and tablet. The storage pocket was barely able to accomdate the cable and capacitor from my HP laptop, and cables for my phone and tablet plus some minor odds and ends such as international plug adapter, laser pointer, etc. When loaded it bulged significantly which comes to the next problem. The admin pouch is virtually unusable. When the storage pocket is loaded, it puts too much bulging into this area to use it effectively and the zipper design does not allow you to fully access the pocket. It barely zips down on one side which means you will have to fish around with your hand in a very tight pocket to find anything. Even the little side pocket I was so excited about can barely fit a passport and cannot fit both a passport and your cell phone without being too tight to zip.

Conclusion: It might be a good bag if all you were going to carry is a tablet and no laptop. It is very marginal for carrying a laptop and if used for that purpose is useless to carry much of anything else. For Road Warriors or Students that require a bit more space than this bag can provide, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I've been big on sling bags ever since I got an injury to my neck, herniating some cervical discs. It was tough to wear backpacks since the strap would pull down on the part of my neck that hurt a lot, so I ended up getting a single-strap sling backpack that went over my left shoulder. As a righty, I've actually found this configuration to be a lot easier than most other sling bags but much, MUCH harder to find.

When my beloved High Sierra Crush was showing its age and smelling funny beyond Febreze's help, I started looking around and ordered the Newt II Mono from Amazon. I pre-ordered and was quite surprised to get word that it arrived about a month ahead of time back when it was new.

This bag is a wonder of a commuter bag. It's got enough space for the essentials: a 13" ultrabook laptop (but it's held my 15" Dell laptop just fine), power adapter, tablet (any size fits perfect in the faux-fur-lined tablet pouch in the main compartment), and any extra bulky flat cargo in the main part. In the secondary part, you can fit a collapsible umbrella (although I wish there was under-bag straps for it, I can live with it), some multitools and other things, and bulkier cargo. The farthest front pocket fits keys, a checkbook, cables, wireless aircards, and other stuff. There's even a little zipper pouch at the base of the strap I use it for a small digital camera, transit passes, and even bottles of water.

The bag comes off and goes on in zero space, which is great for crowded trains or subways: sit down, unbuckle the clasp, and pull it around. Just loop, swoop, buckle and go for the reverse. Best of all, it's very comfortable to wear even when it gets hot out the padded back has enough room to circulate air well. The grab handle is extremely sturdy as is the main strap.

I really wish there was more external storage for water bottles or umbrellas, and the compression straps were a feature I do miss but I get around without just fine. It's not too heavy on its own, sturdy, easy to clean, and comfortable.

I wish they made more bags like this so I could do a better comparison, but it's so hard to find sling backpacks that are worn on either shoulder these days it's a dying product. The Newt II Mono is among the best in class and is worth the money.

Saddleback Leather Thin Briefcase Large

Saddleback Leather Thin Briefcase Large, Dark Coffee BrownI bought this off the saddleback leather website. This briefcase replaced a Kenneth Cole Reaction leather messenger bag. I have had the bag with me for almost 2 weeks, I'll update this review when I have 6 months with the briefcase.

First the good stuff:

Awesome look and feel. You can perceive that this briefcase was made for the long run. The look is a very "manly" look; the whole thing has more character than some of my coworkers.

Top notch quality. From the leather to the stitching to the rivets to the hardware, these guys spared no expense on making sure you get an outstanding hand-made quality product. I state hand-made because you should not expect perfect alignment or centering of stitches, this is not a product made on a precision machine.

Lots of space. The first thing I noticed when I got the briefcase was that it seems a lot smaller than I had thought it would be, but when I started to fill it with all my stuff, I was able to fit all of it and then have some spare space. This is what I carry in my briefcase:

* Dell latitude E6410 laptop

* Power cord

* 2 pens

* 1 magic marker

* 1 small moleskine notebook

* 1 medium moleskine notebook

* 1 first aid kit (aspirin, alcohol pad, iodine pad, band aids, compressed paper towels, Dayquil caps, salonpas pads...)

* 1 bluetooth mouse

* 1 kensington slide changer/laser pointer

* 1 business card case with business cards

* 1 chapstick

* 1 advil cylinder (with ~12 tablets)

* 1 2gb ironkey

* Trident chewing gum

* 3 bank netkeys

* Inside a Victorinox 4.5x10" pouch I have: Ipod usb cable, earphones, small emergency sewing kit, 2 Shout! Wetpads, Blackberry usb cable, my favorite: a small kit containing micro stapler, micro adhesive tape, staple remover and hole puncher

* 1 moleskine cahier (you can safely assume I love moleskins!)

* A plastic folder to keep papers and printed documents

It's a long list, but this goes to saying that this briefcase can accommodate a lot of stuff!

Flexibility to convert to a backpack. I think this may come in handy when carrying this bag across long distances.

Waterproof. Once you look at the briefcase you just know that rain won't get in your stuff.

No zippers, Velcro or any other non-durable features. If they're saying it has a 100 year warranty, might as well take these features off.

Internal pockets. There are 3 of them, two are for pens and the other is for whatever else. This is just the right amount of pockets for me, more would take space, less wouldn't be practical.

Now the bad stuff and/or things that worry me:

Even though the briefcase is able to stand up by itself, mine stands tilted towards the front. I would prefer for it to stand up straight. I'm not sure if this will happen with time -maybe-.

The closure strap has already taken a beating after closing/opening the briefcase. I'm not sure if this is normal and/or if it will affect the sturdiness of it. Wouldn't want for that strap to break soon. This is something I'll report on after 6 months of use.

I did not feel like the bottom of the laptop compartment had enough cushioning. Saddleback says that the outside stitching helps protect the laptop and that makes sense, but I put some neoprene gasket on the bottom just to be sure.

Strap pads when using as a backpack. I found that when you use the bag as a backpack the O ring can be uncomfortable on your back, but if you place the strap so that it twists, then the O ring gets out of the way, but now you have one strap pad backwards. This is an easy fix though, just unbuckle the strap and flip one of the pads.

This is a heavy briefcase. Yes, it's the heaviest bag I've had and I guess if I walked to work or spent too much time carrying the bag it could become a big problem, but I don't.

Overall, this is the best briefcase/bag I've had. And just so you can compare, I've had a Samsonite roller, a Victorinox Acropolis, a Dell plain laptop bag and the Kenneth Cole I mentioned at the beginning of the review.

UPDATE 02/10: I was robbed and the bad guys took my saddleback bag, so I won't be able to write a review on the 6 month mark. I am saving up to buy an identical bag though, so once I have it with me for 6 months, I'll write about that one.

UPDATE 03/11: I got a new bag! I bought the exact same one and there are things I saw worth noticing:

You can tell these bags don't come from a production line by the differences within the same bag model. It's not that this is radically different, but the "marks" on the grain, the stiching, the way the bag stands up, etc make this new bag seem to have a different personality than the other one. It's like getting to know a pair of twins, they seem the same, but in the details there are things that make each one unique.

The quality still seems top notch.

This bag stands up almost straight. The other one didn't

UPDATE 09/23:

So now I've had the bag for a little over six months and I couldn't have asked for more. The leather has taken some character already and it's much softer than before, although it still maintains its sturdiness.

I've gotten som compliments on the bag, and a neat thing about it is that so far I've traveled to Europe, within Mexico and a couple of times to the States and I haven't seen any bag that can beat this one.

I've started to buy more saddleback products now, some wallets and a kindle pouch. You can see my reviews of some of them, but this goes to say that I'm a big saddleback fan now!

Made of the highest quality materials available and boy does it show. This bag will likely take at least a year to even begin to break-in. The first day I had it I already started receiving compliments. It smells divine. I've never felt a bag that feels so sturdy you can even *hear* how sturdy it is. It's odd to explain but once you get one you will know what I'm talking about.

I got the large size in Chestnut after returning the medium because it was just too small and looked like a woman's satchel on me. This thing is perfect and it is NOT too heavy. Are we men or mice? I am 6'0" and 180 lbs. the bag looks perfect for my frame.

I also own the medium saddleback leather wallet and the card sleeve. All of the highest quality leather. I am amazed at the affordability and can't wait for my next pieces of Saddelback Leather!

P.S. the customer service with this company is hands down some of the best I've ever encountered. Exchange process for the medium to large briefcase was a breeze and the response time is uncanny. I hope this company is around for a VERY long time.

Buy Saddleback Leather Thin Briefcase Large Now

I am an attorney and have owned many briefcases over the years, and I have to say that the quality of the leather and construction of the Saddleback Thin briefcase is the best I've seen. Unfortunately, I didn't accurately estimate the size I needed, and the Large was too big and heavy for me. But after sending an email to Saddleback Leather, they allowed me to return the Large for a full refund with no questions asked. I used the refund to buy the Thin Medium, which was the perfect size to carry a 15" Macbook Pro, iPad 2, Wifi hotspot, 2 power adapters, iPhone charger, 2 pens and some paperwork. I'm completely satisfied with both the product and the customer service.

UPDATE: I've had to downgrade my review to 3 stars due to the fact that the finish stains white or light-colored clothes. The Q&A from Saddleback's Website says that the leather will not stain clothing, but I noticed that whenever I carried the bag on my shoulder while wearing light colored pants, I would end up with a brown line across my hip. I thought that it might just be that I had placed the bag on something dirty and the dirt was coming from the bottom of the bag, but that wasn't the case. I took a white cloth and lightly rubbed it across the side of the bag, and the cloth was stained. This makes the bag very difficult to recommend for business use unless you always plan to wear a dark colored suit.

I purchased this item directly from the vendor's website.

First off, this is a very heavy item. For context, the strap alone is noticeably heavier than my previous laptop bag. Think about that. With my MacBook Pro in it, it slows down my commute (I walk). I will certainly be a stronger fellow by virtue of lugging this around.

The strap is difficult to wear, though I hope that with time the leather breaks in and it becomes more tolerable. For now, I'm taking a break from the strap because it's been breaking me in (I literally have a bruise on my collarbone from carrying the case cross body).

Carrying the case by its handle is somewhat annoying because the large O ring is right under the carry handle and interferes with my hand. Hopefully this will improve with age as the handle stretches away from the body a little.

I have used the case in its backpack configuration. Bottom line: it is uncomfortable. First, the O ring sometimes digs into your back, which is unpleasant. Second, getting it onto my back is somewhat difficult because the O ring does not hold the center strap in place resulting in all the slack being on the wrong side while trying to get my second arm through the straps. There can also be issues with positioning the pad on the side with the buckle, the pad cannot extend over the buckle, so it is not optimally placed.

In terms of appearance, it is handsome. I think over time it will gain more flavor, right now mine is quite new looking.

Access into the main body of the case is slow due to the buckle mechanism combined with the thickness of the leather. When I initially got the briefcase, I almost couldn't open it because the tongue on the buckle is very long and the leather didn't want to bend that far. I really had to yank it.

Regarding the lining, pigskin is not soft. I wasn't aware of that when I ordered it. I will have to get a sleeve for my macbook, you might want to consider doing a custom order and asking for the suede lining.

In the interior there are two pen areas, one on each end. You will probably need to buy new pens if you want to use them because the thickness of the leather is such that the clips on most pens will break from being stretched. I'm clipping my pens to the large interior pocket, which is thinner.

20/22/2010. After using this bag for quite some time, I'm clarifying this review for Saji by docking a star.

Want Saddleback Leather Thin Briefcase Large Discount?

I have the extra-large thin briefcase and I LOVE it. This is one stout leather briefcase. Not many bells and whistles but that is part of its genius (and the 100 year warranty) the simplicity of it all. This thing just FEELS good on my shoulder. I love carrying it in to work each day. I want to hug it as I fall asleep.

The one thing some people may not like is that even though it is somewhat dressy ... it is not as polished a look as you will find in other products. There are around 11 d-rings on the outside of this briefcase ... all made for functionality like tying an unbrella or a tripod to your briefcase ... but for a corporate boardroom look you may find it a bit over the top. As I am not the president of a company I couldn't care less. :)

I am now the owner of three products from SaddleBack Leather and I have my eye on a fourth .... :)

Military Inspired Canvas Crossbody Messenger Bag Bookbag Olive Drab

Military Inspired Canvas Crossbody Messenger Bag Bookbag Olive DrabI was going to review this item with one star but it was shipped really fast and well. However, the bag itself is extremely cheap. I am a college student and I have a mac and I normally bring two folders and two notebooks along with pens and pencils to class. The first time I put all of this stuff in this bag the metal link that holds the strap to the bag bent and broke. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I would not buy this bag if you carry a laptop because it can't handle to weight.

On her last visit she told me she needed a new bag for her books at school. I sent this bag to her and she was thrilled with it. It's easy to carry on the bus and holds everything she needs. She says that it's an upgrade from her traditional backpack.

Timbuk2 Bender Laptop Backpack

Timbuk2 Bender Laptop BackpackI own three Timbuk2 messengers and I am really impressed by the materials used and build-quality overall.

However for the Bender, I was quite disappointed. Firstly, the "light-weight" nylon does not feel as sturdy as my other Timbuk2 bags. The stitches also do not seem to be as good as the ones in the messengers, not sure if its due to the new material or Made-in-P********** or just my imagination...

The bag is very roomy @ 27 litres, but due to the filmsy material it doesn't hold its shape very well. I suppose its the trade-off for using light-weight nylon.

I like the design though, but was just very surprised by the difference in quality between my other messengers and/or even when comparing my Q backpack...

I will still buy Timbuk2 in future, but not without handling it in future...Its a regret I have to rate it a 2-star...Don't get me wrong, Timbuk2 products are generally of 5-star quality.

Owner of 2 laptop messengers, 1 Q backpack, 1 Bi-fold wallet & 1 "light-weight" Bender......

I traveled around SE Asia for 6 weeks using this bag. It has quality craftsmanship and is lightweight. I bought it because it had (i) those straps on the outside that can hold an item outside the bag, and (ii) because it had a little pouch area where you could place a small laptop/ipad without it banging around.

The good:

1It is super lightweight and really can hold a lot. If you are using this as an overnight bag, you will be able to fit much.

2Quality craftsmanship. Whatever this material is, it stands up to everything I threw at it.

The bad:

1If you're using this as a day bag, it's inconvenient. It is missing small interior pockets. It has some, but they are so tight, that you really can't place much inside. The one outside is huge (as long as the bag), and this doesn't allow you to easily get at your sunglasses or ipod or whatever quickly.

2One of the worst parts of the bag is that if you are carrying something using the straps on the outside (in my case I carried a pair of scuba fins), you can't access the outside pocket as the fins (or skateboard or whatever) blocks this pocket.

3There is a small side pocket but it too is super tight and small and doesnt really suffice to hold anything of any size (and this includes a water bottle!). If they could just add a small, but usable, outside pocket, it would make this bag much better.

4The shoulder straps are uncomfortable. Once I had 7-8kg in the bag, they sort of cut into your shoulders. You just have to grin and bear it there is no way to adjust and no padding to assist.

5The straps on the outside are adjustable BUT they do have a limit. And sadly, the limit was reached for my fins. Also, the straps do not stay tight the come loose and require constant re-tightening or whatever you are holding in them falls out.

Its sad really, because this bag had such a great start. But it's like the person who created this bag didn't travel with it. When you add up all the small things, you realize it's not as usable as you'd like.

I'm a full time student. I bought this to replace a Dakine Eve Women's Backpack that I used for a little over 2 years, 6 days a week until the lining starting peeling which almost drove me insane. Immediately I noticed this backpack made a huge difference on my back. It distributes the weight of what I carry (I drink lots of water)in a way that does not hurt my back. It holds everything (school and personal items), easily fitting my 14.1 HP laptop. I can't vouch for the durability since I've only been using it for a few weeks now but it seems well made. I would definitely recommend this product even though I haven't used it for long, I am very happy with this purchase.

My daily bike ride to school is a 20 mile round trip through hot Houston humidity and this backpack has become my favorite companion. It sits perfectly on my back, keeps the sweat on my back to a minimum and easily holds everything I need for my classes and the gym. My favorite part are straps on the back, I use the top one to fasten my helmet securely to the pack and the bottom as a clothes line for my towel and riding gear. This will be my third purchase from Timbuk2 and I've been pleased with them all, the quality is fantastic.

Want Timbuk2 Bender Laptop Backpack Discount?

Overall, I'm satisfied with this. I take in on 15-20 mile bike rides each way to work (~40 mile round trip). Still get back sweat but not as bad as my old backpack, but aside from getting away from using a bag, I realize that will still be an issue.

The bag is a little long, though I'm only 5'6.

I like ithaven't tested it in the rain yet, but hopefully it keeps my stuff dry!

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Quilted Backpack

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Quilted Backpack,Royal Blue,One SizeWithin the first day of use, the zipper came off the track. There is no liner inside this, so there are strings everywhere. Considering it is toddler size, not child, toddlers pull strings and then you have a horrible mess because the quilting all comes undone. The applique is felt, it will not hold up over time, it was balling up within days too. The clasp to hold the bag closed has gotten stuck and now it won't close properly. These are cute but completely unusable and low quality.

This was purchased for my son as a gift from a friend. I had noticed it in several of the boutiques in the area but thought it may fade after a wash, so I never purchased one.

After quite a bit of use I washed it and it looks just as good as it did when we received the gift. The only thing is that the felt part of the train gets knots on it after the wash. I took a fuzz eater and took care of that.

It's a good little back pack for day use or trips to church. It's small but functional!

My three year old son loves trains, so he was very excited when I got him this backpack for preschool. He often tells people, "I have a train backpack" and proudly wears it into school every day. I like that it's not made of plastic or PVC, just good old natural cotton, with cute embroidered details, yet is well built to hold everyday items.

My son received this for his 1st birthday. I immediately started using it as a diaper bag because I didn't need to worry about needing something huge to carry around bottles and all other infant necessities anymore. I LOVE this bag and get compliments all the time. I am actually online right now ordering a "girly" version as a gift and I couldn't resist writing a little review on this one while I was here!

This backpack is gorgeous. The attention to detail, the practicality of the side pockets, which by the way are extremely useful for beverages and small items. It is a durable, attention-grabbing backpack. Kudos to Disney, Princess Tiana in all her magnificent glory!

SpongeBob Squarepants Backpack

SpongeBob Squarepants BackpackI was actually looking for new backpack for my son, when i saw this one here and decided I have to review it!

I bought it for my preschooler in september of 2011 when he just started to watch spongebob and of course fell in love with him right away. Since then he took his "spongebob-on-my-back" to school every day till june of 2012, sometimes kicking it and throwing it around, when I didn't see, treating it like any boy of his age not gently or with care.

Then came 2012-2013 school year and my son still loved this backpack so much and because it was in such a good condition (looked brand new, nothing ripped, nothing fell apart, except got a little dirty on yellow parts of the straps, he kept it as his everyday bag.

Now almost two years later, it's still looks like it was just bought! Incredible quality or I don't know what is it that makes this backpack last so well so long!

It has two very useful mesh (blue color) pockets on the sides; where spongebob's head ends (wavy edge) it's actually extra pocket, then goes medium compartment with zipper which also has 3 or 4 sections for bus or library cards, then there is main regular sized compartment, big enough for my son to put regular pillow folded at half :)

So,it is great backpack, very well made, very pretty and with a good mood!

Port & Company - Cinch Pack, PurpleThis draw-string bag is perfect for shool and gym needs.

It is made of a lightweight heavy duty material perfect for kids and adults.

I bought these for our youth summer camp. The girls used them to carry around manuals, song books, water bottle, etc. We wrote on them using gold & silver Sharpies (black Sharpies didn't show up). Only one backpack didn't make it through the week and that girl was way overpacked! :)

Dakine Campus Backpack

DAKINE Campus Backpack, 33-Liter, NebulaAmple room, sturdy zippers, padded shoulder straps ... all these things are incorporated into this backpack. Many backpacks are flimsy and/or small. Not so this backpack. A little pricey, but if she uses this through college, it was worth it.

I bought this backpack after I noticed my old one was breaking down. I have not used it yet, but I can already tell that this one will last me a long time. It is durable and of great quality. My friend has a backpack of this brand, and it has lasted her for years!

Oneill Men's Epic Backpack

Oneill Men's Epic Backpack, Black, One SizeWe got a great deal on this backpack about twelve dollars for the red LOVE Amazon! I wasn't sure what the quality was going to be like at that price but since it was for my young son who need it for light school use I figured it would be okay (This is however a full adult sized bag). When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It has padding in the shoulder straps and against the back. The bottom has thin rubber-ish coating making it seem more durable but I don't expect to be able to test this any time soon. One of the little front pockets is lined with soft material making it perfect for holding small electronics. This bag will last for years to come!

My grandson saw an Oneill backpack that he wanted but I was not willing to pay the $45. I always go to Amazon to check pricing and my grandson picked this one which was $21.45 vs the normal selling price of around $54. This is actually a much nicer backpack then he oringinally picked out at half the price.

I bought this backpack on clearance from amazon (it was only $25!) and am absolutely thrilled with it. I have owned it for quite some time, and it has held up to every challenge I have put it through. I can easily fit 3 days worth of clothes, my toiletries, and my xbox in this bag, and still have room for other small items. As a daily backpack, this looks very nice, is comfortable to wear, and is very durable.

My only complaint is that the straps are a little loose, and are easily nudged out of place. A very minor complaint for an otherwise perfect bag.

This was purchased to replace a similar bag that was about two years old. Although it is basically the same shape and style as the old bag, this bag is a little smaller, has fewer extra pockets and is not as well made as the old one, which was disappointing. Still, for the money, it is an ok bag and I will be keeping it.

Sanrio Chococat Tartan Laptop Sleeve

Sanrio Chococat Tartan Laptop SleeveI bought this laptop sleeve for school and travel and its so much cuter in person! It has a semi-thick foam and its a snug fit with my computer. You might have to be careful with the zipper because I had to hold the top part so that it won't rip. But other than that its worth every penny.

Lug Sprout Carry-All Laptop Bag

Lug - Sprout Carry-All Bag in Sunset OrangeThis bag is huge! I'm 5'3" and it's about the size of my torso. It seems larger than it's 16"x13" dimensions, I anticipated something bigger than a legal size portfolio but not this large. I don't think it's practical for commuting but as an overnight or weekend bag it would be excellent. Lug bags are overall well-made, well thought out and water-repellant; this one is no different. If you want to carry a laptop, some documents, a change of clothes (or maybe even two) and some toiletries this will be a tremendous asset; you'll finally be able to keep everything in one bag while keeping pocketbook contents in the smaller front and side pockets. If you frequently go on short trips that require you to still be productive consider this bag. For going back and forth everyday it's just too much.

I've tried several cases from Tumi, Samsonite, Lodis, even Filson. This bag offers the convenience of a backpack, messenger or shoulder bag. I love the fact that the outer pockets (except 1) are magnetic closures. The two small outer pockets towards the top are perfect for bus passes and mobile devices. Working in IT I carry my fair share of devices and it handles the weight well.

The quick zip main compartment that holds the laptop(s) is great for travel and I've been able to open completely for airport security checks. I have several co-workers that have purchased the same bag after seeing mine. It's a balanced, well engineered bag.

BBP Hamptons Hybrid Messenger/Backpack Laptop Bag Obsidian Black XL

BBP Hamptons Hybrid Messenger/Backpack Laptop Bag Obsidian Black XLI ordered this bag for my 17" Dell Precision M90. It is a tight fit in the bag, but it does fit. The computer compartment is accessible without opening the main flap, making it very easy to get to the notebook quickly. The nearly velcro-free design is nice, because it's quiet to open and close and doesn't get stuck on things. The storage compartment has an orange lining, making it easier to see what's in the bag.

The main selling point of the BBP bags is the Bak2Pak carrying system, and it's definitely worthwhile. The conversion process only takes a few tries to learn, and from then on it's easy to convert between backpack and messenger carry styles. I'd seen complaints that strap was too long in the messenger style, but I haven't found that to be the case if you clip both d-rings into the strap clips. In backpack mode, I've found that the straps slip a little, so I have to re-adjust them. It's easy to do this while wearing the bag, so it's not a big deal. The backpack mode distributes the weight very well, making it easier to carry over long distances.

I struggled with how to review this bag. On the one hand, I've loved both the size and comfort of it. I'm a college professor that walks/bikes to campus every day, and I needed something that I could use to transport a pretty hefty volume of grading to/from work.

For the first week, everything was great. Then, as I was walking up a flight of steps, the clip that connects the shoulder strap to the back sheared clean off. My case (laptop inside) went tumbling down a flight of stairs. I contacted the company and they were very nice about it and offered to repair/replace the bag. Unfortunately, they needed me to mail it back, and I can't afford to be without a case during the last few weeks of the semester. So, I jury-rigged a temporary fix and haven't sent it in yet.

A couple weeks later, I was crossing a multi-lane highway with my 5-year-old son when the other clip snapped right off, causing the bag to plop right in the middle of the road (again, with my laptop inside). I shudder to think what would have happened if I was riding my bike.

In both instances, the bag was not heavily loaded. I had my laptop, the power cable, some dry erase markers, and a hard cover textbook. Not exactly a monstrous load.

I think there is a serious design flaw with these bags, and I'm not the only one who has noticed. I was talking with a manager at the local Apple store and he mentioned that he's seen a number of people with the same problems that I've had.

Overall, I would not recommend this bag, especially with the price you pay. If you do buy it, go to Lowes and pick up some chain connectors to use when the clips snap off.

Prior to ordering this bag I was using a Marware Sportfolio Deluxe 17" MacBook Pro Case Black and while I really like the quality, size, etc. of the case it was killing my back/shoulder/neck. Once I loaded it with everything I needed it was pulling me out of alignment when I carried it further than down the hall.

So I started looking for a bag that I wanted to meet two criteria. First, I wanted it to be more comfortable and not pull me out of alignment. Second, it needs to fit under the seat of my Yamaha Majesty scooter. The Marware bag fits under the seat with room to spare but the BumBakPak was larger, especially since I needed either the L or XL model in order to fit my 17" laptop. I ended up trying the XL model because the L was out of stock at the time so I figured I would give it a shot.

I am pleased to say several things. First, the bag is incredibly well made and has plenty of room for whatever you need to carry. Second, it is very comfortable and feels completely natural when walking. It does not weigh you down or pull your body in any unnatural directions while you are carrying it. Finally, the XL bag fit under the seat of my Majesty like a glove. When I place it under the seat it looks as though it were made with the intention of fitting under this seat. I know that this part of the review will not matter to most people but if anyone else has a Majesty they will appreciate this information :-)

I'm reserving the right to revise this review later.

After reading some reviews of this bag I decided that it would be perfect for me and my newest laptop, a lightweight with a 15.6" screen. I vacillated a bit as to what size, and settled on the XL figuring I could use the extra room if I needed it...little did I know.

when it arrived and i pulled it out of the box, the first thing i notice was that THIS THING IS HUGE! you could fit a small child in it, with room for lunch. AND wine (none for the kid, he's gotta cop his own). my inner macgyver was impressed by the number of pockets and storage crevices all over the bag (although he'd never buy a bag, he'd make it out of leaves and duct tape, but i digress), not to mention the cool backpack to shoulder strap transformation thingie and the fact that every type of fastener known to man is used somewhere on this bag. you could strip it down and climb a mountain, and you don't need a goat to help you carry anything.

the 'problem' i have with this item is that, while can do so many things so well, it left out one very important thing: protection for a laptop. even my behemoth XPS with its 17" screen swims around in this thing. with the 50' of velcro and nylon straps used in this thing, why couldn't they use another foot or two to secure a laptop? i've been putting mine in the large pocket on the outside, which is hardly safe or secure, but at least it's snug and won't move around. should i have bought a smaller size? that wouldn't solve the issue because then the laptop would fit snugly into a bag with padding only for my @ss (which at my age is padded enough) and none for the investment i'm lugging around.

all in all, it's a very nice and seemingly well-made bag that looks nice and is comfortable to wear. but calling it a laptop bag is a bit of a stretch; it's basically a messenger bag/backpack that will fit a laptop along with a six pack of beer and a couple of buckets of chicken (yes, i am a bit hungry as i write this). while i won't return it, i'm still in the market for a laptop backpack.

Toting around a MacBook Pro 17" , with and extra battery to boot, can really wear down your shoulders. The BBP is, what I consider, to be the most capable way to carry a laptop out there. The backpack setup is very comfortable and takes the strain out of places that get sore quickly, like your shoulders. I don't think it looks that bad either The key point is that it works well and takes an innovative approach to an old problem.

The pockets are abundant, although the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would like to see some larger, more accessible pockets from the outside. The only other item to note is that the magnetic snap on one of the outside pockets is not particularly strong (you don't want strong magnets around computers anyway), so I would not put anything moderately heavy in there, such as a cell phone.

That said, the waterproof zipper on the outside for the laptop makes it a breeze to bring through airport security without having to unpack everything. The orange on the inside makes it really easy to see everything in the pockets. It will hold lots of stuff, in addition to your laptop and the materials it is made from doesn't add much to the overall weight, like a leather bag does. I recommend the L or XL for the MacBook Pro 17", I have the XL and it's more than roomy adn well worth the money.

Tumi Alpha Extra Large 35" Wheeled Duffel 22042

Tumi Alpha Extra Large 35' Wheeled Duffel 022042DH,Black,one sizeTumi Alpha Extra Large 35" Wheeled Duffel 22042I bought 2 Tumi bags on the strength of their no quibble warranty and the supposedly high quality materials and construction: the ballistic nylon is supposed to be tear proof. While walking the UK Coast to Coast trail, a distance of 190 miles the 2 bags were ferried on to the next stopover by a recognised logistics company but 12 days later the handles were broken, the pockets ripped off and the wheels were not rotating properly. Our friends luggage made by less expensive companies proved much more robust. I returned the bags to Tumi and the best they'd offer was a discount off two new full price bags at £695 each. Very disappointing for a top price product at this end of the market. I won't be investing in Tumi again with this poor level of service.

this bag is super light because it has no metal telescopic handle, but there is not enough rubber/plastic trip on the edges of the bag which is close to the maximum dims allowed before approaching oversized (for most airlines).... as a result, when fully loaded this bag is heavy and gets abrasions easily on the edges, especially the bottom edges which should have more plastic trim... After 4 airline trips, getting serious abrasions on the side. I suspect it will need repair within the end of the year at this rate, but only for the edges. Otherwise great bag.

My husband loves this bag, because he is 6'4, and all his giant clothes fit in it. When he pulls it, it moves along smartly and is almost upright. My experience with the bag is a bit less than optimal. I am about 5'5, and the bag is awkward for me to drag along. It's heavy when packed, and stuff kind of sloshes around inside it. And you will mostly have to check it with today's commercial aircraft interiors. I gave it three stars for stellar workmanship it's beautiful and tough mine has been all over the world and still looks new. But, for me, it just isn't that useful. Good duffel for a tall, strong guy who doesn't mind checking his bag, though.

I bought a Tumi Large duffel 5 years ago for a Xmas gift for a close friend and then paid $475 my friend used it for just two trips in those five years and the handle you pull out of the bag to pull broke and is unusable. I told him to take it to Tumi I said surely they will repair or replace it for the amount of money this cost. They offered a small discount on now a $675 bag he told them just to repair it it came back still unrepaired. I was going to buy myself a set of Tumi this year for a big upcoming trip but with the customer service at Tumi being rude and not standing by their very expensive products I am done purchasing Tumi beware if there is a problem with your Tumi luggage, they will not take care of it. Very disappointed.

Booq Boa Flow XL Backpack for 17-Inch Laptops, Black/Red (BFXL-BLR)

Booq Boa Flow XL Backpack for 17-Inch Laptops, Black/RedThings that have broken: Top handle, both of the main zippers, stitching on main seam, neoprene bottle holders. This is a great bag, over engineered in every way but the assembly. I want to love this bag, but mostly, I just want it not to fall apart. I admit, I'm not easy on stuff, but for the price it should at least last through the kind of overstuffing that any college student would put it through. Booq sent me another bag for free, but it's the exact same product. It'll disintegrate soon. We'll see if they send me a third bag. Bought it from Amazon back in December 2011, received it in Jan. First major failure (zipper) was in Feb., followed by the neoprene bottle holders, handle (March) then the main seam. Maybe you'll be luckier than I was, but if you're on the fence, I'd stay away.

A great bag, full of organization. Was big, too cumbersome for daily use. A little too glossy exterior for my tastes, but this is probably a waterproofing. All in all above average.

This was the third Booq backpack I've owned as I thought it was an upgrade from the Booq Boa 3 (I also still own a Booq Python XL). Overall, the design and layout is good, and I especially liked the front camera compartment, but the front organizer pocket is poorly designed (the internal Booq Boa 3 organizer was much better).

My biggest complaint is that several zipper pulls pulled out from the slider. Booq needs to install a zipper pull with a smaller gap between the pull and the slider so that the pull does not separate.

I love my booq bag. This thing has a spot for anything. It is comfortable to wear and holds all my gadgets that i use on a regular basis. It needs a more descriptive info sheet as there are so many pockets. I found a few pockets weeks after i started using it. I carry a sizeable laptop and charger, a tablet a phone or 2 a notebook (paper type)a few flash drives, a portable hard drive, various cables, an ipod, and a camera, or 2, along with pens pencils and sharpies there is a place for everything and many ways to organize and reorganize to fit you perfectly. The thing is comfortable with padded straps and good ventilated back. I was worried about spending so much on a pack but 3 months+of daily use and no signs of wear or damage especially from someone who is notoriously rough on bags makes me feel great about recommending this bag. My booq bag is lovingly called megabag around the house because it holds almost everything. It is like the body of a swiss army knife for your gadgets.
