My sons love it. Just ordered another one like this. Spacious and bright and of great quality. I highly recommend it.This bag was purchased for my 8 year old 3rd grader, who has used it daily for the last 6 months. Then, while his bag was closed, the zipper came off. All of his things were trapped inside. So I tore the seam open with my hands. My point being, I am not strong, and tearing the bag open was not difficult, suggesting it is not a sturdy product. The Mario details are bright and colorful, and I suppose 6 months used by an active boy is a decent amount of time for the price paid. The Mario Backpack is great. my grandson loves it. It is holding up well and he is Happy to have it.Mariokart Wii Large Backpack

-A wetsuit pocket that is located on the side that touches your back. Unfortunately my work does not require that i have a wetsuit, but this pocket has worked out well for me to store all of my work documents/notebooks. It's a very spacious pocket that extends throughout the whole backside of the backpack.
-The main compartment pocket works as a perfect place for my laptop and iPad to sit, with plenty of space to spare.
-There's an accessory pocket which is great for storing any items you would normally carry in your pocket and/or a great pocket to store your sunglasses.
-Front top pocket is a great place to store my pens/pencils, thumb drives, etc. and has plenty of room items.
-The front bottom pouch is one of my favorites which is the cooler pocket where you can stash about 2-3 12oz cans along with some ice and not have to worry about the rest of your backpack getting soaked from it, due to its waterproof interior lining.
-There are also two side pockets which are great for storing whatever you'd like, but I'd suggest two more drinks (1 in each pocket) to refill your cooler pocket with when needed.
This backpack is a great multi-purpose backpack. I would recommend it to anyone needing a spacious backpack for school, work, or travel. This backpack seems very durable and not only does it have plenty of space, but it also looks awesome, too.The item has some great useful features especially for those who surf however I was disappointed to the wet/dry section the material lining was not stitch into the seam. Actually, this backpack is really nice. As far as I can say (without ever having used it), the material is nice and it looks like it will survive over time (like I said, I never used it, so I can't say, if in reality, that is true).Besides the look and the material, I liked both, the backpack is really tall. So not really made for short people. Also it is rather thin, so if I really want to use the complete room, I would have to stack the stuff on top of each other...which would annoy me, since I would have to dig for the stuff I put in first. Additional to that already thin backpack, all "outside" pockets actually take the room inside the backpack. So if you put something in the cooler pocket, you already used space of the main department. Same goes for the department on the back of the backpack. I find that really unhandy since it already has not that much space, unless you like stacking.
So overall, it looks like it could be a nice backpack, but since I am rather short and not a fan of stacking stuff in my backpack, it was not for me.It is a great bag for us to shove things in for a quick beach trip or short hiking day.
AmeriLeather Traditional Leather Backpack
As far as service goes service was great, no complaints
Areas where the product description is worng:
1) The backpack straps are NOT detachable. They are the standard strap style that you will find on any backpack. I was disappointed in this, because my backpacks are typically ruined when the straps rip out (AKA I load my backpacks up with heavy books and most standard straps rip their stitching out). I was really looking forward to recieving a backpack that had re-enforced attachments for the straps.
2) There are NO side pockets; however, there are plenty of pockets in the front.
3) This backpack has a total of 5 compartment. Other then the main compartment you have one that is capable of a text book. The remaining 3 are appropiate size for pens and office supplies.
4) The U-zipper on this backpack goes almost all the way to the bottom of the bag. It stops about an inch and a half up from the base. This is a wonderful over the standard backpack design as it allows you easily stack your books in the backpack. My previous backpack I had to stand the books up in. I would say that this U-zipper design by itself makes the backpack worth owning.
The one thing that is expressed in the product description very well is the dimensions. This is a very deep backpack, with a base that is 5" wide. If you are like me and typically carry the majority of your college books in your backpack then you will love this. I just started nursing school and was very pleased to find out that ALL of my books for the semester can be carried inside this backpack.
I would recommend this backpack to a friend, in fact I intend to. As I stated before the only thing I am wary about is having the standard style of backpack straps. This is a larger backpack and it is absolutely wonderful. I use it every day on my way to work on the scooter. The leather is very soft and doesn't smell. A great product and will buy one for my husband.

This is a hefty backpack and its quite durable, it's just not the most fitting to your back. The main pocket it really large and that males my books fit strange and for some reason it doesn't fit in my back very well. But it is an overall good backpackThese backpacks are an amazing product for the price. I purchased two, for my husband and for me, mainly for airline travel that way these roomy packs can be in lieu of a purse or bag, and with the allowed carry-ons, we can avoid checking luggage. They are handsome and very functional. There is plenty of room for travel essentials, a change of clothes, and I include a small handbag to use once we are at our destination. The backpack costs less than a quality handbag and is way more versatile. I couldn't be happier with this product!ALPS Mountaineering Solitude Plus 3100 Cubic Inches Day Pack (Blue)
However, something about the design or production results in zippers that have ripples requiring one to hold the 2 sides of the zipper in finicky positions in order to zip them fully closed. They zip smoothly on the mostly straight vertical sides, but as you try to zip them around the curved upper part of their tracks, they don't zip easily, as the 2 sides of the zipper seem to be sewn just a tiny bit out of sync with each other. You can get them to work, it just requires extra time & effort. I have owned many backpacks, suitcases, etc. where zippers were sewn on a curve, and never had this problem before.
The only other issue is the way that the top carry handle is designed & constructed. It is cut & sewn so that it is parallel to the sloped top of the pack. The result of this is that the flat handle itself slopes down quite significantly (across its width.) When you pick the pack up by the handle, the entire weight of the pack is thus borne by the thin lower edge of the handle, rather than by its flat padded width, and it digs into your hand very uncomfortably. All they would have had to do was to cut & sew the ends of the handle at an angle, so that the flat of the handle is horizontal when the pack is being carried, rather than parallel to the sloped pack top.
It is hard to find a pack with such large capacity that has a multi-compartment design suitable for commuting, traveling, or book-bag use, as opposed to a single, cavernous, backpacking-only design. So I am willing to put up with it its flaws. If Alps can remedy those, this pack would be near-perfect for its size.Size and weight were perfect for the 3 day outing. Size will also work on the discount European Airlines (just watch your weight).

the screen printing on the neoprene though, makes the outside of the case a strange scratchy texture.
no performance problems, just a little odd to carry and hold for long periods of time, occasionally screen printed design feels sticky. The case is just as pretty as it looked in the picture. I like that it has a zipper flap to protect my computer from the zipper. It is slightly padded and that's all I wanted, just something to protect it from scratches and spills. The only "problems" I have is the hint of "new" smell but a dryer sheet should fix that. Also, it is slightly too large for my Macbook pro 13" but nothing of major concern.
All in all I am happy. =)This looks as good as it appears in the picture, if not better :) And the quality is good too, really a good protection for my macbook. Recommanded.

Angry Birds Large Rolling Backpack
DO NOT BUY THIS BACKPACK.I ordered the Angry Birds large Rolling backpack for my grandson who is starting 3rd grade. He loves Angry Birds so was thrilled when he saw it. He has a lot of homework every night so it is helpful for him to have a backpack with wheels. It is large enough for him to have room for his books and his lunch box. It seems to be sturdy enough to last the whole year. We are happy with the product.

I never got the backpack. It was delivered to a wrong address and after weeks waiting the company told me that USPS changes the address automatically. I think the company in this case should've written the address manually and not through the computer. But I just got a full refund, which shows it is a responsible company but not too effective. My son really wanted that backpack. I got it from another company with no problems with my shipping address. Lipault Paris Weekend Bag
A REALLY great purchase.I'm giving this lovely bag the full 5 stars because it doesn't seem right to penalize the bag for Amazon't amazingly poor service. The bag has a lovely assortment of pockets and pouches, and the purple color is rich. My bag arrived without the shoulder strap that is shown in Amazon't main photograph. When I contacted Amazon's customer service this morning the rep who called me back gave me a giant, uninformed run-around, and said "It don't come with a strap" (his poor grammar, not mine!), when I asked him how he knew that so quickly, he said "I researched it." I asked how he did that and he said he looked at the item listing and since it shows three other photos without the strap that it "don't come with it".
I contacted the manufacturer, Lipault, and received a very prompt and helpful reply saying the strap does indeed come with the bag and should have been in an inside zipper pocked, and that since it was not there that they would send one out to me right away. Up to now Amazon has shown me such good customer service, but today's experience has truly shaken my confidence in the company. Highest marks for Lipault, and a total black eye for AMAZON!!!

I was looking for a somewhat small but still roomy carry-on bag and after reading the reviews here decided on ordering the Lipault Weekend bag in red. Here are my comments, in no particular order:PROs:
Well-made bag, I expect this one to last a long time
Quality hardware: The hooks for attaching the shoulder strap are made out of metal and swivel. The zipper pulls are nice and big (non-metal)
Plenty of exterior and interior pockets. I especially like the long exterior zip pockets on both the front and the back of the bag. These are ideal for quick access items such as tickets and passports. The two "cubes" in the front not only have the visible flat pockets under the flaps but also zip open on top to two quite spacious compartments
The bag can slide over the handle of a wheeled bag or suitcase for ease of transport
It is made of nylon but constructed with a rigid bottom panel that prevents it from sagging when fully loaded
Compact format: While the bag is as long as many other carry on bags, it is slightly less high and deep. This is hardly noticeable when packing but definitely makes a difference in bulk.
The color is a nice, shimmery red, very much like depicted.
CONs (minor but want to mention them anyway):
Not as light-weight as I thought this to be. I assume that much of it comes from the metal hardware and ultimately that is fine with me I much rather have good quality hardware than a very lightweight bag made with inferior materials. I just wanted to mention that this is not an ultra-lightweight bag, if that's what one were looking for.
The zip pockets under the flaps in the front are a bit hard to access due to these flaps. Probably good for smaller items one needs to keep safe and doesn't access all the time.
The interior pockets do not hold much usefulness for me personally, except for the large zippered pocket along the backside. In the interior front is a small pocket with a Velcro'd flap, just big enough for a small phone or something similar, then 4 pen slots, and finally another small open stash pocket the same size as the phone pocket; it has a plastic swivel hook for a key attached to it on a short strap.
The shoulder strap is not padded.
The logo patch as well as the handle grips are made of some pretty cheap-looking plastic material. I was really surprised at how cheap this looks, considering the price tag. This could and should definitely look a lot nicer, as far as I am concerned because it does interfere with the otherwise quality look and feel of the bag.
Another thing I would have liked to see at this price point is some kind of protective feet on the bottom of the bag.
SUMMARY:
I really like this bag for its compact format. In this day and age travelling by air has become more and more of a challenge due to weight and space restrictions, so the need for a small but functioning bag that can easily go underneath the seat is becoming more important. The Lipault Weekend bag delivers beautifully on this requirement. It still can hold everything one would need to bring, even on an intercontinental flight. I expect this to be my go-to bag for many international trips.
That said, I do believe that this bag is slightly overpriced. At this price I expect a perfect bag, especially when it comes to the details, and while the Lipault Weekend is a very good bag, I still think it could be better in the details. Since I got the red bag at a close-out price, I am OK with it, but I think the full retail price is too high, despite the nice general quality of this bag.I bought this bag to go with my 26" roll on Lipault bag. It is the perfect size, has lots of outside compartments, and the best feature is that ,not only does it have a slot to slide over the handle of the larger bag, but there is Velcro to keep it attached. I am thrilled with the luggage because it is so light and so much easier for me to lift and handle.I purchased the weekender to compliment my 22" rolling carry-on, which I love. Both fold flat, and the weekender fits in the protective bag that came with the carry-on. Together they take up very little space in my closet. I was really on the fence about the color when I purchased my carry-on, but the first time I travelled with it, I was able to find it immediately in the sea of black bags on the cart when I checked it at the gate. The weekender is a great size not too large, not too small, and nicely organized.

I was raised in Germany and used a German made Knirps Umbrella all my life. I'm 70 yrs. old now.
I was shocked the Umbrella is now made in China.
-Irene WilliamsHad thought for the price I would get a quality product and a decent-sized folding umbrella. It is okay, but definitely not the high quality I anticipated. The size is extremely small, too. May be okay for a child, but who the heck would purchase an umbrella at this price for a child?

After quite a bit of use I washed it and it looks just as good as it did when we received the gift. The only thing is that the felt part of the train gets knots on it after the wash. I took a fuzz eater and took care of that.

I looked around quite a bit for a backpack that would fit my 7 year old. This one works perfectly. Big enough for full size school books and folders, but not so large that it overpowers him. Good quality and it has held up well so far after 6 months of kid abuse.Jourdan Lightweight 3-Piece Expandable Upright Spinner Luggage Set
But the Jourdan luggage is pretty, the outer material is of good quality, as is the stitching, wheels, frame; and the picture here in Amazon, is accurate. I will keep it, and am generally happy with the purchase.
I just bought this on Amazon to replace other luggage I purchased here (see my luggage reviews from April). This review will try to cover what the product information page, leaves out.
COLOR for the 'red', is a true school crimson, very attractive. The picture is too bright, compared to the reality.
The OUTER POCKET LINING lining is cheap vinyl plastic. The inside of the case is fabric-lined, with a center zipper, rather than an all-around zipper.
OUTER CASING AND ZIPPERS, etc. are all good quality; the FABRIC reminds one of Cordura nylon. The WHEELS are doubled, excellent, could repair them, and they seem removable (the bolt has an arrow for direction, implying you can remove the bolt).
That bad cheap outer-pocket LINING is a real minus. I don't expect $200 luggage sets to have cheap vinyl lining. Then again, who cares if it gets ripped? Vinyl lining can be repaired with tape; fabric lining would be harder to repair. So maybe it's not a minus, and I am wrong to disparage it.
Overall, this luggage would LAST FIVE YEARS of regular use (flying, say, five-six times a year). Maybe less, if you travel often to places famous for banging up luggage. It's slightly tapered at the top. I'm not a fan of that design, but it's a minor quibble. It is more 'sophisticated', if looks are important.
HANDLES are better than average. The suitcase handles are two, one on top and the other on the side, so you'd carry it in landscape mode. There is no handle underneath with the wheels, nor any on the other side of the case. The handles are stitched and then riveted in UNDER the fabric, which offers a bit more protection, than if only rivets. However, the only viewable rivet, is one per side. (Maybe it's riveted underneath the fabric, as well.) This matters, as the fabric is backed by cardboard, or what seems like cardboard. The FRAME appears to be heavy plastic.
So too, for the BUMPER GUARDS AND WHEELS, though the wheels are the best feature of this bag. The wheels do not have a 'cover' over them. That matters a bunch, for in luggage sets with covers, the wheels REQUIRE the covers, in order to turn. Granted, the thought behind covering the wheels was to protect them from damage; but when you mold the wheels as part of the cover (same problem with office chairs), when the wheel breaks, it breaks due to the cover. Duct tape then is a must, but it won't survive much movement, after that. (I just had to duct-tape my office chair wheel three days ago, and every time I roll it around, the wheel falls out again.)
Plus side, you have four wheels per bag. So you could make do, if one or even two wheels fall off, depending on how the bag rolls. Here, you have more options: if the wheel only falls off while you have it, you can put in a stick so it will still roll. I've asked Jourdan if we can buy replacement bolts, and will put the answer here when I get it. Wheel plastic is relatively hard, yet higher-quality than the cheap wheels so common in store-bought luggage. (Rubberized wheels are ideal, but this set doesn't have them.) These are also hubbed, not the typical small hard black wheel. They are a tad larger than the typical small hard black wheel on cheap luggage.
There are no ADD-A-BAG straps on the top of the cases (when standing). But in my experience you don't need or want those. Better, to buy an add-a-bag strap here at Amazon, then attach the strap to the top of the telescoping handle, to gain more space for the second bag you're lugging -or, for the small 'personal item' bag to sit on top of the carry-on. I just traveled like that, and it was far better than using the add-on strap I had with that other carry-on.
My big concern with these modern bags, was the TELESCOPING HANDLE. This one is aluminum mixed with plastic (not much aluminum, must have been melted then molded in that mix) -on each case. What would normally be called 'bearings' which stick out when reaching the predrilled hole (so the handle telescopes reliably at certain heights) -these are flat, rather than round-top, so they're more like the posts you use for bookshelves, rather than ball-bearing style. The latter is a real problem, not at all reliable. So I'm glad THIS set has the post-style, rather than rounded tops.
However, they don't stick out much. Even so, you could always take a luggage or briefcase strap to the top handle, if you lost the telescoping pole. On the other hand, I tried to remove the handle, but couldn't. That's a good sign. There is a locking button atop the handle you must push for the handle to come up or down. It seems sturdy.
LIGHTWEIGHT is the claim on these bags. They are not. Weight is about the same as my old bags.
The label on the bags say there is a 3-year WARRANTY. Terms are weird. First, it literally says that the warranty is 'unconditional', but then says that abuse isn't covered. What constitutes abuse? And by whom? Also says that normal wear and tear is covered, but not damage by an airline. So then it's unconditionally conditional? KEEP THE LABEL, because this wording is very bad, legally. You might be able to make claims, if you needed to (assuming you're not trying to cheat the company).
I can't tell WHERE the luggage was MADE. Label says suggested retail is $500 for the set, what a joke. This set is worth maybe what I paid for it, $210. (I paid $70 for my two-piece set, and it's better-made; though the wheels and handles are not better.)
As was expected, the listed SIZE is not the same as the actual sizes. The carry-on is 22" high (measured from the ground, including the wheels), by 8.5" deep (if flat, allow more space if you fill the pockets and top half), and 14.5" wide, measured across top or bottom. So it will fit in most overheads; but on the shorter regional flights might have to be checked.
Next, the mid-size bag is 26.5" tall (measured from the floor to top, standing) x 17" widest, by 9" deep (if flat).
Largest bag is 30.5" tall (standing, again measured from the ground, up), by 19.5" wide, by 9" deep (if flat). So it might be OVERSIZED for airplane travel. Watch how you pack it, because this bag can easily weigh 80+ pounds, when fully packed.
Expansion for each piece is almost 2", zippered out. Inside each main trunk, there is 1" less space than these width measures fit. In short, if the width of what you want to put in the mid-size bag is 16", it still might not fit. However, there is a lot of 'give'. I was able to put my 17" x 16" computer tower in the mid-size bag. It fit very snugly.
Innerside of each case is a middle-grey mesh pocket which is zipped in landscape mode, all across the top underside. That's a big plus. So when you get to your destination (or are in TSA) and you must open the bag like a box, the top inner side is easy to see at a glance. Lining pattern is an ugly gray with 1960's rounded squares' pattern in lighter gray. Definitely a bad fashion statement. But I didn't buy this, for fashion compliance.
The elastic tie-downs inside each case are light grey, cheap. They will soon become useless.
Air out the luggage when you get it, because the new-vinyl smell is strong. At least, to me. It's not a bad smell, but is noticeable. Febreze or put fabric softener sheets in it. Good news is, the manufacturer and seller (Sale Mom) care very much about helping to solve this problem. I get prompt response from them; first, they suggested the airing out; they also suggest baking soda (you know, like you'd do in a refrigerator, top open). The warmer the temperature, the stronger the smell. So a third option, is to load the luggage with packing bags or packing paper, so it will absorb the smell. Not sure which one will work the best.
Even so, I want to keep the luggage. Here are my DESIGN reasons for purchase, because I spent 20+ hours searching through nearly ALL the wheeled luggage offered here at Amazon, before settling on this set.
Two big reasons for purchase: wider design, and the two-pocket front design. Wider design means a) more stability, and b) better packing. Second big reason are the two front pockets: very easy to dump into them or have TSA examine them. I put the gels and liquids in the top pocket (in that one-quart bag), and my other questionable things in the lower pocket. Very easy to dump into the bins, or send through the scanner.
Another advantage to this design: the second (lower and bigger) pocket, can be stuffed the entire height and width of the case. Since it has a 2" expansion, you can cram a lot of stuff in there, even a big laptop (which I don't recommend, but others like it). The carryon alone could accommodate 10 rolled T-shirts or sweatshirts of the XXL size. The height of the just that pocket on the carry-on, is 18"; 21", on the middle case, and 26" on the largest case. Width is the same as the case. Subtract 1-2" each from the width and height, for the depth of what you're packing.
Finally, post-travel life, is a third reason. You just know the luggage will get banged up within a few years. Then it can still be used, to transport computer towers. Yes, the luggage is that strong. The outer fabric is thick enough to withstand drops and bangs. Wrap a computer tower in camp foam, and you've got a good method of safe transport, including all the related cords and most peripherals.
Here, the lining question remains dual-sided. On the one hand, vinyl lining restricts breatheability, though air would still come through the zippers, even when closed. On the other hand, less damage would ensue if transporting the computers in the rain, for the vinyl would stop any seepage the outside encountered when moving. So it's a toss up, huh.
I've used luggage for 'computer' transport; it's quite handy. Your average tower is about 18" or more often 17" high by 16" deep and maybe 6"-8" wide. So these pieces can accommodate the towers, as well as 386 or 486 computer chassis from 30 years ago. The carry-on piece will hold an SFF computer tower (i.e., Dell 5100 or Optiplex 780 SFF), which generally run 12" x 12" or 13" x 13".
They can also carry groceries well, and of course can store anything else, when idle.
In sum, for the same price, quality and features, I can't find any spinner sets in Amazon which compare favorably to this one. The lining might be a blessing in disguise, since plastic is easier to clean and repair.

I ordered this to take on a trip. Thank goodness I did not order the larger one too when it was smaller than i expected it to be. It was fine to take on a car trip, but when it came off the baggage machine on the other side, it fell open when I picked it up. The zipper had broken during the trip. Luckily, the contents were mostly still in it, but it is completely worthless now and will have to buy another bag while on vacation to make the return flight.Want Kiva Luggage Packing Genius 21" Upright Light Discount?
I've taken this suitcase on both local and international trips. It holds more than other 21 inchers I've owned. It has a light colored interior and things don't get lost in the recesses as they did in black interior suitcases...a must have. I had to return the first one to the manufacturer because a zipper pull popped off. They were helpful and fast about replacing. And I would love to this 5 stars because it is so well designed... HOWEVER on my just completed internationl trip some tears have appeared on the front fabric--something I've never ever had happen in other luggage. Maybe the light weight comes at a cost of weaker fabric. What do I do now? Doubt the manufacturer will consider this something they need to cover under warranty. Sigh!

although my only little nit-picky issues were that it came in a plastic bag sort of packaging.
No real problem there other than it got wrinkled, nothing a bit of an ironing could help though.
if it were packaged in a box, I guess the wrinkling wouldn't be a big problem.
&there were some lose threads clinging around the bag and rabbit.
again, no real problem, just seemed messy.
