We bought the backpack to house my daughter's brand new Dell Inspiron laptop. She does a lot of graphics and needed a 17 inch laptop. It was impossible to find an off-the-shelf laptop bag for the 17". We looked online and finally found this bag. It is a wonderful bag with places to tuck all of the extra equipment that comes with the laptop. The thing that really sold her visually on this bag was the special place to hold her Skullcandy Headphones. I looked for the padding on the bottom of the bag and the organizational aspects of the bag for wires, usb ports, etc. We are very pleased with the bag. Just wish it came in some fun colors.

Kensington BTS Back To School - Saddlebag Bundle K33380
On the picture, I though it would be larger than the first Kensington bag (K64079) that I got 10 years ago and still using it. But when I received it on time. The size is exactly the same, only the arrangement of the pouches is different a bit. I don't mind since I like the first one a lot. Surprisingly, the option that let you access the inside compartment through the zipper opening is very useful. I guess some customer had notified this to Kensington. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and delivery.
This one is even better. It is much tougher and much more durable.
There are plenty of pockets and the pading for the laptop is great.
the backpack straps are very comfortable.

I just received this bag and I love its size. I am pretty short so most backpacks overwhelm me. We travel a lot and I do not like to carry a purse while we are walking around. I tried carrying my big backpack around but that has not been convenient either. I knocked things down in stores.I already tested this bag for what items I can fit. A small laptop, a small camera, 4 books, sunglasses, a wallet, and a phone. There is still some room left for carrying a small bag of toiletries. I was initially testing how many books I can fit just for the fun of it. With only one travel guide book you can also fit your raincoat in it. Again, this is probably only true for a petit woman. The front pouch is convenient for your wallet and your keys. The straps are very long considering the size of this bag but it did not change my mind about it.
The first Timbuk2 bag I owned was 15 years ago and sadly I don't have that one anymore. Now I'm taking exams for a professional license and was looking for a small backpack to carry a 13in laptop or ipad, a thick study material book, notebooks, and my necessities without doing the one-shoulder-ouch-this-is-kind-of-heavy walk to a cafe. This backpack really is as great as the previous reviewers say. I'm about 5 feet tall and other backpacks are overwhelmingly large, have too much excess padding, and too heavy. I don't want to carry a bag that's heavier then the stuff I put in it.
There's a thin amount of padding all along the shoulder straps and a good thin cushy layer at the back. Just 3 zippers on the outside: 2 to open the main bag for your books and 1 to open a smaller opening in the front. When you use the zippers to close up the backpack, you barely see the glossy metal teeth bc of a built in layer of fabric, nice detailing! The small front opening is a surprisingly nifty compartment that is the full width and height of the bag. The main compartment is 3 inches deep and has a built-in sleeve and organizer pockets. The 7 organizer pockets easily fit necessities like pens, a smart phone, gum and the 1 small zipped compartment for toiletries. The red sleeve fits a 13 inch Mac Book Pro super snug like a sleeve; it will not move around once its in. Just wish the sleeve was a tad higher so that the laptop would not be exposed to scratches in the backpack itself. But I like the peekaboo red tricot fabric and for smaller devices this would not be a problem. I like the minimal logo placements, the clean rectangular shape, and the black color with grey and red accents. This is a quirk but I also like to occasionally wash my bags and this is small enough, with just the right amount of padding, that I think I can throw it into the washing machine too (that's a star for me). Even though it's small, it has a great solid feel to it like any other larger Timbuk2 product (I'd be asking too much if I wanted a water bottle pocket on one side and an umbrella pocket on the other :P) I'm very happy with this purchase!!This backpack is the perfect size and exactly what I was looking for when scoping a bag that would carry everything I needed for a day commute to school. I can fit several notepads, a school book, my IPad, cosmetic kit, sci calc, small wallet, ample pens, snacks...everything fits into a deceptively tiny pack that won't break your back on long public transit commutes. I may have bought two of these backpacks, a black one for my work laptop (a 13" Macbook Air) and a cool patterned one for my personal computer (also a 13" MBA). The MBA fits perfectly in the padded slip pocket, and the bag is surprisingly roomy and well organized. I can fit the MBA, a kindle, an iPad and accessories, phone, wallet, and assorted girlie things (in a makeup bag) and a small bottle of water (think camelbak 0.5L). The bag is comfy even when loaded down, and because it has a really narrow profile, I don't have to worry about whacking people when I turn around on the bus/train or whatnot.My only con is that the front slip pocket runs the whole length of the bag, and stuff tends to slide to the bottom of both the bag and slip pocket, so whatever you have in the front pocket will bulge slightly (and make the bag look less streamlined). This is a small point.
The zippers do go almost all the way down, so be careful when opening. There is a velcro tab that holds your MBA in place, however, so I'm not worried about the computer falling out when the bag opens, just everything else.

I got this for my 13" Macbook Air and it just fits. The black color is understated and perfectly professional. It's the perfect size for work! It holds the MBA, my kindle, wallet, phone (giant phone!), and necessities for the day.The only drawbacks are: the zippers on the side go almost to the bottom of the bag (so it unzips almost completely on 3 sides) which means that it is prone to falling open, and it doesn't have an exterior water bottle sleeve (which would make it absolutely perfect).
Alas, it is so so close to perfect, I'm still giving it 5 stars. :)

ShedRain Windjammer Umbrella - Solid Colors
I keep this umbrella in a side pouch of my briefcase and carry with me all the time. The auto open/close works great. I've only needed to use the umbrella once so far, and it worked great in a light rain. Haven't had a chance to test the windproof value of it yet. I worry about how engineered the umbrella is and the effect this may have on how long it lasts before breaking. Seems to be very well constructed so it isn't a huge worry. All-in-all, the best travel umbrella I've owned to date.
Alps Big Bear Pack
After wanting to upgrade my pack from last year, I decided on the ALPZ Big Bear pack. This pack has exceeded all my expectations for what a hunting pack should be. The load bearing straps make it really easy to adjust for heavy loads. I needed a pack that can hang low enough during bow season to accomodate carrying my tree stand. This is the only pack on the market that does so. It can also convert into a day pack with ease. For a true one man backwoods bow hunter like myself. I needed a system that is versatile and easy enough to use for the different types of hunting days I have. During bow season, I have to carry water, calls, release, scent destroyer, food, emergency kit, phone, and my tree stand. WIth it in "fanny pack" mode I have more than enough space to do all of this, while letting it hang low enough to not interfere with the stand on my back. In scouting mode. I undo the fold out backpack and have a TON of room for trail cameras, one-two gallons of deer liquid attractant. Leftover sub sandwich, neighbor kid, dog, or whatever! I highly reccomend this pack if you need a system that will change with the hunting conditions, and is quality made to last a lifetime.

Beverly Hills Country Club Malibu Three-Piece Hardside Spinner Set
I bought this luggage for the bright pretty color and the fact that it is a 3-piece set. As the other reviewer stated, it's not the lightest luggage out there, but it does seem to be sturdy and the wheels seem stronger than other rolling luggage I've had in the past. I actually wanted the hardshell "shiny" suitcases you see everywhere. This is not like that. It has an embossed woven cloth texture stamped onto it, and is more of a dull finish. I took it recently on a flight from Portland, OR to Washington DC, and try as they might, the luggage handlers couldn't crush the sides of the big suitcase. It arrived on both ends of the trip intact. It does have light grey trim, zippers and wheels, however, which are already scuffed with black marks from going through the baggage service. I would have preferred it was a darker color to hide dirt better. The luggage comes with a 5-year warranty, so I feel confident taking it on business trips. The "spinning" action works well, and it's easy to drag the suitcases either standing straight up, or leaning over to roll along like regular wheeled luggage.
A footpad came off one bag, but I always stand it on the wheels so no problem. There are gouges and many scuffs. The bag takes the beating and my contents arrive in great condition. 200+ flights later and the bags are holding up fine if looking worse for wear. Remember, you're buying something to keep your valuables safe for travel. Don't worry about how the bag itself looks.
I've never been overweight when checking in at the airport. Usually below 40 pounds (50 pounds is allowed on Delta). They fit nicely inside one another. Nice for storing while in a hotel room because of limited space.
The spinning wheels have worked fine. The handles have worked fine. The siding is durable. The colors stand out and I find my bags easily. NICE!!!!
When the foot came off, I unzipped the liner to remove the remaining screw (which was sticking out!) and discovered the ugly underside of its construction. I'm sure you'll find the same if you open a wall in your house. Perhaps a can or two? So, don't be upset if you see "how the sausage is made". Just appreciate that the bag works for what it was designed to do. Carry your stuff from one place to the next.

Just for reference. The two big suitcases alone weigh more than 22 lbs as per my handheld luggage balance. All three put to gether 27-28 lbs. I only used this set once since it's purchase. All three pieces traveled on four flights. No problems with the casters as I had read about in other reviews. When they arrived they did have a chemical smell that others reviews mentioned. We placed dryer sheets in them and closed them up until we started packing for vacation. This seemed to work fine. The only upset occurred on the first day of use. Each piece has a D-ring on top and comes with a strap to hook two pieces back to back. I hook the smallest piece onto the largest piece. The smaller piece had no more than 10 pounds in it. After a few trips from the parking lot to the hotel room and back, the D-ring broke from the smaller luggage. It's like a rivot holding the ring in. It just snapped from the hard case. It was disappointing, but nothing to ruin the trip over. Once home I thought about contacting for a replacement, but it seemed like more work than anything. Overall happy with the purchase.
Timbuk2 Candybar Laptop Backpack (Black/Black/Black, Medium)
The photos for this backpack show it has a printed liner. I actually almost didn't order it because I wasn't sure that liner was "me". However, my backpack arrived with a gray liner, which is perfect. But Amazon should probably update the photos because it isn't really representative of the item.This is a smaller backpack I'm 5"2 and have a hard time finding a bag that doesn't overwhelm me. I need a bag to carry to and from work lunch & snacks, computer and papers, and all those little things that make life easier when you are away from home. Another reviewer described this as an "urban backpack" and I think that's spot on.
Even though it is small, it is very roomy. It is advertised to hold an iPad, but in reality, my 13" Mac Powerbook fits in the computer compartment perfectly. That, plus my lunch and a few zippered bags that contain my essentials don't even come close to filling the bag halfway. I'm planning on taking it on a weekend trip soon and I'm sure I can pack a pair of jeans and shirt and a second pair of shoes along with what's normally there.
I only have two complaints about the bag: 1) Because of the design of the organizer compartment, the bag tends to fall over instead of standing up (my wallet in the organizer pocket is heavier than the bag when the computer isn't in it. 2) The organizer pockets are short, meaning a fork and/or toothbrush can't sit in it (they do fit in my Small Timbuk2 Messenger bag).
This bag fits my 15" Dell Latitude Laptop, lunch and small pouch for personal items and plenty of room for the cord but luckily I don't need to carry the cord with me. Plently of room for a small umbrella or sweater too. There is cushion to protect the laptop but not for throwing the packpack around/being rough with it, just enough to keep it protected while moving around from place to place.
The flap is vlecro so if someone were to try to take something out of your bag, you would be well aware. The straps are curved which allows for a very comfortable fit. The outside zipper compartment is great for keeping small items handy pen/phone, etc. And there is a section that could easily fit a water bottle that is not in the same section as the main storage section where you would put a laptop. The "water bottle section" also has slots for cards but I would not use it for that since you could slip a hand in there pretty easily and grab a card or it could fall out so I wouldn't use that feature. There is also another zipper section within the "water bottle section" as well. Lots of places to put things and keep them well organized.
I would especially recommend this for women for the small size.

This back pack is just the right size for my 4 yr old. He can strap it on (insists on it) and it is a simple bag with mostly just one big compartment which has room for his folder for the teacher to send home. It is VERY sturdy and hopefully will last for years and years. Great color and it says 'JET' on it so I tell my son to get his 'JET pack' and he loves it.

We got this backpack for our 8 year old to use for a week at camp. It sits well on her and it's roomy enough for her things. It's held up well thus far and I think it will down the road. This is a nice sized backpack for a smallish woman or child. The only reason I returned it was because I need a backpack with some organization details. This is basically one pouch with only a small zippered pocket on the outside. Was disappointed it didn't work for me because the size was perfect not too big and not too small.

My daughter really likes this suitcase, which is the most important thing, but it feels like poor quality. The zipper is a little stiff and hard to zip. The handle is a little flimsy and feels like it might break off. It's made of cheap plastic. For a suitcase that is this expensive, it should be of better quality, but you pay for the Hello Kitty name.With that said, my 4 year old loves it and drags it around the house. Wasn't sure but bought this so we could carry our IPAD, instead of a travel book. It fit perfectly and still had pockets for phone and cables. A man bag that doesn't look feminine with it's across the shoulder strap. Love it!
Other than those 2 things the bag fits the macbook perfectly and gives it a lot of support. The strap is comfortable and the bag looks well made.

This is a fantastic bag for the Macbook Air 11". Very compact and trim (and well built in that respect), but with enough extra capacity in the outside pockets to carry a bit extra and/or the power adapter. In other words, you can fit just enough in with this bag alone to go work at a coffee shop or library. Carrying strap is very high quality with fully rotating attachments (so the strap doesn't get twisted) and very clever spring-loaded clips. The strap hardware remains with the strap, so, if you are like me and don't use the carrying strap, the bag itself is not bogged down with annoying hardware and clips and so forth. Given how many crazy expensive bags and sleeves are out there (like, in the $50-100 range), this STM bag is a crazy deal in the $30 range!The only negative I can think of here: my bag has a bit of a chemical odor that hasn't gone away as quickly as I'd like. But that might just my particular one.

Love the look, feel, and utility of this sleeve (fits the MBA11 perfectly), but the accessory pocket for stashing the AC adapter is far too thin. Recommendations: Do not wrap the cable around the hooks on your Apple charger, instead, loosely coil the cord and this will give you an extra mm of space when in the sleeve with the MBA. But even as such, the manufacturer/designer should build an extra 1/2" of lateral give in the outside pocket for space. If that were the case, this would be a 5-star product. Incase CL57483 Nylon Sling Sleeve 15-Inch - Black
The original Incase product I wanted I saw at the apple store, and thought I was getting a good deal finding it here on Amazon for a price cut down to $35. I even checked Incase's website to make sure I was getting the right product, and that this was the appropriate case for my MacBook Pro 15" RETINA DISPLAY. This was the only product listed on the Incase website from what I could see, so I ordered it.The case itself seems fine (and I'm sure it's a terrific case for the older MacBook Pro), but I guess it was my fault for not noticing that the apple store sells the DELUXE version of this bag. The Deluxe version is more custom made for the thinner retina display MacBook Pro, it has an extra zipper so you can charge the MacBook pro while it's in the case, and it has an extra pocket inside to hold your iPad. They look "almost" identical, so this is really my own mistake for not noticing I was getting the wrong bag. I also discovered the deluxe version is ONLY being sold to the Apple store, from Apple (in store or online from apple.com). I couldn't find the deluxe version of this bag on Amazon.
As I said, I'm sure this is a fine bag (I eventually just threw down the extra money and got the deluxe version, and it's a really great bag so far), and the mistake is entirely my own fault, but I'm writing this review just to help stop others from making the same mistake I made. Will this bag still carry the MacBook Pro retina display? Of course, just like any other laptop bag will. Just expect it to have a bit more "wiggle room" for the thinner retina display item.

In summary: This is the second Incase Sling Sleeve I've purchased, but only because I love the purple/orange color combination so decided to splurge. And I'm happier with the second than I was with the first.I have two laptop bags: this and the Timbuk2 laptop messenger bag. Yes, this is much more 'minimalist', but that's why I like it. My Timbuk2 bag is perfect for when I have to lug more stuff around (and is great for flying as it still counts as a "personal" item), but is HEAVY and bulky when loaded down. The Incase bag is perfect when all I need is my computer and a few papers. I also have one of the first versions of this bag that has the same features, but the front exterior pocket is velcro. The zipper on the latest version is an improvement as the velcro often stuck to the short handles and they're now pretty frayed. Also, the darker colors available in the new version will hide stains and dirt from general use better than my lighter color. I'd recommend this to anyone that is looking for a streamlined, minimalist bag. I've had mine for 4 years now and besides some minor stains it's in basically the same condition as when I bought it.
FYI: I have a a Lenovo (ThinkPad) Z61t, which is a 14" widescreen laptop. It fits with room. If you're wondering whether or not your laptop will fit, try eBags' "Does this bag fit my laptop?" tool on their website located near the product information of most bags. I bought this case because I had the same case for the Apple Macbook Pro 13" and loved it. However, I did return this case because it was NOT fitted to the Macbook Pro 15" as snug as the 13" case was fitted. Also, I did NOT like the fact that Incase modified the external pockets with a zipper on top of the pockets instead of the flap. The flap offered much better/easier access to the pockets. For what it's worth, I contacted Incase and expressed to them my comments/observations as well... I wound up buying the Brenthaven ProStyle(tm) Lite Expandable SC. *Zippered and velcro outer compartments; gives you the options to zip something up safely (wallet), or just tuck it in for fast access (phone).
*Lightweight.
What's not so good:
*Not much room. You put in your laptop and a folder, and it's full. Bulkier items can be squeezed in, but they will distort the profile of this bag. Even adding the power cord (although it will fit) makes the bag bulge. Could have used a little more room!
Giving this bag 4 stars because it's very nice-looking, and I do use it daily. But it would be greatly improved by more carrying space.
