When I read the review left before me, I was a bit scared to place the order, but it looked good online, so I thought I would give it a shot. I received it in a very timely manner and was pleased to see that it is all that the picture shows it as. I bought it as a Christmas present for my boyfriend and he loved it even more than I did. This is a great bag! Loved it.:)Read Best Reviews of Classic Military Inspired Canvas Messenger Bag Laptop Bookbag Black Here
While i like the look of the bag, it has a few problems. The strap is very cheap looking and shiny. The metal loop holding the strap in place bent within a day of normal use (My laptop is heavy, but not THAT heavy), making the strap useless. The laptop sleeve is also not padded at all. I was very disappointed in this, and am returning it.Want Classic Military Inspired Canvas Messenger Bag Laptop Bookbag Black Discount?
I ordered this bag to carry my laptop and tablet. It had a great look and definitely enough room to accomodate my 15" laptop and Nexus 7 tablet and a wireless mouse. The color and material of the bag when it arrived are what I had expected. It had a long enough strap and I enjoyed it while it lasted. It lasted a little less than a year, and with light use, not an every day use. The stitching on the bag where the shoulder strap connected tore. While the bag was fairly inexpensive, I expected it to last a couple years with light use. I had a different every day work bag for my laptop. I used this one as a carry on while I traveled or visited friends.

Pros:
Rigid structure, ridiculous amount of pockets, water proof covering, comfortable straps/backpadding, and well balanced.
Cons:
Bulky, lack of functional flexibility, loses some comfort when both Laptop compartment and Tablet compartment are in use.
All in all, it's an amazing product if you're looking for a dedicated photography backpack.

The internal organizer compartments are perfectly sized, so when you open the bag up you can access everything easily, and it all stays in place while you travel. I usually travel for at least 2-4 weeks at a time, and space is not a problem. Because the bottom is a hard shell I will usually stick in a bottle of good California wine, and nothing has broken yet. To top it off, the design is so eye catching I will never ever again lose sight of my bag at baggage claim! The quality is phenomenal, after 5 years of baggage handling there isn't so much as a scratch on this thing.
Oh, and those pesky European cars? We can fit 3 of these in the back of one now!I bought this bag (the large size) in anticipation for a 10 day trip traveling through 4 different towns in France. My friend has several pieces of similar luggage and raves about them so I thought it was a good investment.
I love the bag. It is aesthetically pleasing, easy to keep organized on a long trip, and quite durable. My only complaint would be that it is so big that it is really easy to overpack... and get slammed with overweight baggage fees. I easily fit 75 lbs in mine. Despite being so heavy, it maneuvered well and the extra handles were great for lifting it up.
I would highly recommend this bag to anyone looking for an all around great suitcasebut remember to weigh your bag before you fly!

This is an incredible product! My wife and I first discovered this bag while traveling through the South Pacific with a friend who owned one. From that moment we knew we wanted to get one. Delivery was fast, and the product was exactly as described! VERY HAPPYI have just received my bag and was so impressed with the bag and how quickly I received it. I love it and can,t wait till I receive the matching 3 bag set which I have also orderedI love this suitcase, the inside features a large compartment with a removable interior and mesh covering. The other side has three compartments also with mesh covering. The outside of the bag has an additional two compartments. Finally I can fit everything I need into one bag with room for more, and I don't have to worry about everything getting tangled up. I love the style of the suitcase as well, and it seems to be well constructed. However the zipper did start to separate at the top of the bag after only one use, although it is easy to fix it makes me slightly apprehensive about how the rest of the bag will hold up to wear and tear. Only other compliant is that the suitcase smelled absolutely terrible when it arrived. It took several times cleaning it with fabric cleanser and using fabric freshener to get the smell out.Travelon RFID Blocking Passport Case
The Travelon passport case really does keep your RFID passport safe. It has plenty of room for credit cards, train tickets and admission tickets. The current (2009) Japan Rail Pass also slides easily into the pocket alongside your passport. The ballistic nylon material with (faux?) leather accent is low key, and won't draw the attention that a home made aluminum foil envelope or Prada wallet would. Perfect for any traveler with an RFID passport who doesn't want their identity stolen.
Details -
RFID passports have a serious defect they can be read and possibly altered remotely. While this is difficult and expensive to do with today's technology, it can easily be done by people with sufficient motivation. In five year's time it will only be easier.
The correct way to defend against radio manipulation of your passport is with a Faraday Cage. An ideal Faraday cage completely encloses the object you want to protect, leaving no gaps.
I was concerned that this wallet would only pancake the RF read zone of my passport. When I arrived at NRT in Tokyo, the passport control officer was completely unable to read my passport without taking it completely out of my Travelon case. Future RFID sensors may still be able to snoop a passport in this case, but I'll be comfortable keeping my passport safely stored in its travelon case for the next few years.
Look up Bruce Schneier's blog for a deeper technical analysis on the pros and cons of the new RFID passports. The Travelon RFID BLocking Passport Case is a well-made, attractive case and, unfortunately, in today's world where unscrupulous individuals have devices to read RFID documents and steal personal information, a real necessity. This case is constructed of ballistic nylon and leather; all edges are encased by leather trim piping. This should provide protection from wear and tear on the corners which normally wear faster than other areas of similarly shaped items. Further, the corners are mitered which reduced bulk at those points. Additionally, this is a sign of quality construction since mitering takes more time and effort if the manufacturer wants to produce clean corners. The case's stitching is even and smooth; I noticed no loose threads or thread ends projecting to prick one when reaching for this case.
I liked the way one could slip the front and back covers of a passport into pockets on each side of the case. This holds the passport securely without having any pages contained so the passport must be removed for inspection. A ribbon marker in the center of the case can be used to "bookmark" the page containing the traveler's picture so that one does not have to page through the passport in order to locate the picture.
If one does not put credit cards into the case, along with a passport, the case is about 3/8" thick when closed; the actual passport is about 1/8" thick, so the case adds about 1/4" of bulk. In researching RFID blocking passport cases, the Travelon seemed to be the least bulky of those offered by trusted manufacturers and sellers. Personally, I do not like the idea of having my credit cards, driver's license, etc. in the same case as my passport and will probably purchase a second case in a different color to hold these items should the necessity arise.
I ordered my Travelon RFID Blocking Passport Case on a Tuesday night, selecting super-saver shipping, and received the case on Friday. Amazon's superior service is always something I can count on.

My passport could be read with the case closed it it was touching the reader. I also tried it on my RFID card at work I had to hold it closer than usual but it still read it from about 4 inches away. There didn't seem to be any damage to the wallet so I'm not sure why it didn't block the RFID scanner.Outside of that the wallet is fine holds your passport and some credit cards. I'm returning mine since I really wanted the RFID blocking feature.

Room for several credit cards or business cards.

Bought this for my brand new passport, which passport boldly states on the last page inside "This document contains sensitive electronics. Do not bend..." Figures, as it's impossible to get the front and back covers of the passport inside this holder without bending the passport. The holder has a 3/4" wide strip of clear plastic along the inside left cover of the holder, into which the front cover and the first page of the passport (your picture) are supposed to be inserted. The back cover of your passport, which has a barcode on it (meaning that it's meant to be read by a bar scanner) inserts under the holder's right inside sleeve for credit cards. To get whichever cover of your passport you last insert into the holder, you have to bend your passport. And as another reviewer has noted, if someone has to then read the barcode, you have to take the passport completely out, and then put it back in, bending the passport a couple more times to remove it and put it back.
Moreover, once you've got the passport in, and you close the holder and lay it on a flat surface, whichever cover is up doesn't close flat, but springs upright at about a 30 degree angle. Annoying.
The quality of the material of this thing looks good, but I fear for how long my passport will hold up inside this thing. I'll use it for my upcoming Thanksgiving travel abroad, and see how it goes, since for $13 and change it's not worth sending back. In short, a good product idea, and decent material, but not a great design.
Columbia Elite One Technical Daypack
There are only two things I found that bug me. One is that the bottom of the backpack is rounded so it has to be set against the wall or laid on the floor because it will not stand up on its own. The other is that Compass Blue is much brighter than it appears in the picture. That isn't the fault of the backpack or of Columbia it just is what it is. Bright blueI ride a bike to work and use this backpack for my work clothes, shoes, towel etc. and often my laptop too.
My commute is usually less than 20min and the weather sealing keeps all moisture out. There is plenty of space, the laptop compartment is neat and really inconspicuous . The shoulder straps are good and although I don't usually use the waist belt it's nice to have it for when I take the backpack on hikes. (It's not padded but I wouldn't want a padded belt on my commute pack anyway)
All in all it's a quality bag, I haven't found any fault with it and you can tell some thought went into making it.

This is a first rate backpack, Columbia makes very good products and they stand behind them. First off is is a little on the larger size but I wanted an intermediate bag for hiking, school and work. This has a padded section for a laptop and numerous pockets for pens, glasses, iPod, folders, notepads. It is more oriented towards school and work since it's layout is very much like a vertical briefcase. On the other hand it has a section that will hold a large amount of cargo for hiking and traveling. The vented shoulder straps are very good with a waist strap and chest strap, I like this since you don't want the pack to bounce around. It also has a top cover, and helmet store. If you are looking for something a little smaller the Manifest II may be the choice. Look at the dimensions and compare to others for the price.Read Best Reviews of Columbia Elite One Technical Daypack Here
The pack is bigger than I expected, but it's great for safely transporting my laptop through rough terrain. The laptop pouch is separate from all the other pouches of which there are manyand it is well padded. Also, the backpack itself is quite comfortable and well-built for outdoor adventures. This is a beautiful, well made bag. It was extremely too big for me. Had to return it. I would buy a smaller version if available.Marmot Crampon / Skin Pocket

Pros: --Good material, --Waterproof definitely, --cool logos comes with stickers, --speakers sound good however dont expect too much bass, --inner design is cool too,--Big front pocket, --Great lil carry around bag honestly, Cant wait to take it to the beach and look like the cooolest guy u ever seen. Rockaway Beach 116 Holla!.
Cons: --flimsy wires (the cables inside that connect to the Double-A battery pack seperates into two wires one for each speaker like a headphone jack, its kinda faulty and one side may go out from time to time, may have to replace wires with newer more durable ones maybe buy a rechargeable battery pack) awesome idea for a backpack still.
--too small, im (Male) 5'11 190lbs and this felt more for a person of about 5'4 150lbs, Still if u need something small such as me its awesome, NYC crowded trains are not ideal for huge duffels.

CA state law says you can't listen to headphones while bike riding unless you use only one ear bud. That just didn't fly with me so I bought this backpack. I chose this backpack because it's the only one that has 2 speakers. Music has been recorded in stereo (2 channels) since the 1960's so I don't understand why they make so many one-speaker devices. I guess most people don't care. Anyways, I'm very happy with my purchase. The backpack itself is nice and compact, perfect for bike riding, but it surprisingly fits a lot of stuff. I rode to the store and I was able to fit a loaf of bread, a half gallon of almond milk, a bag salad, and a half dozen eggs no problem (glad i didn't crash with the eggs). As far as the audio, this thing sounds pretty good for what it is. It will really bump when you're inside. When I'm outside cycling I have to turn my ipod up a little more due to road noise. You control the volume using your own mp3 player, there is no volume control on the backpack amp, it's defaulted at full volume which I like (who wants to mess with 2 volume controls when you're out having fun?) The little amp is in the small pocket and it looks like a little cd player. It's powered by 4 AA's and it shines a blue LED when powered on. An LED on the outside would've been nice since I never remember to turn it off. The batteries do last a while but as they drain the sound quality gets worse and worse. The amp is just not pumping out enough wattage to drive those speakers resulting in a floppy muddy sound. So whatever you do, always remember to turn the amp off when you're finished using it or you'll be cursing on your way to the battery store. I'm able to get 2-3 hours of loud listening in before this happens though but I NEVER remember to turn it off so it might even get more. I recommend this backpack for sure.Read Best Reviews of Fi-Hi Creamsicle Black Speaker Backpack Here

Timbuk2 Wingman Suitcase
I ordered both the small and medium to inspect them in person and compare the sizes. I came to the following conclusion:
Medium: May fit under the seat if it is not fully loaded, but when fully loaded will likely only fit in the overhead bin.
Small: Will easily fit under the seat, even when full loaded.
I decided to go with the small based on this observation and returned the medium. The small will fit a decent amount of folded clothes in the main compartment and I can even squeeze a pair of shoes in there (men's size 11), but this reduces the amount of space available in the side pockets. The laptop compartment is fairly large, even on the small, and I'm able to fit a 14" Dell Latitude with extended battery (13.9" x 10.3" x 1.3") easily.
I can only really find two cons, which aren't a big deal to me, but may be for others:
As other reviews have mentioned, the laptop compartment is hard to zip if the cinch straps inside the main compartment are pulled tight. This problem is worse when there are very few clothes, since the strap will be cinched tighter. When I have it loaded with a large amount of clothes, it's not really a problem.
There is no water bottle holder. One could easily fit on the side opposite the main zippers (and I'm considering adding one), so I don't see why it wasn't included.
Overall, this a very quality bag and will last a very long time. I was able to purchase it on sale and I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay full price, but if you can find it discounted I think it's worth it.I took this on a 3-week trip to Italy and carried it on airplanes, boats, and trains, as my only luggage. It held up really well and fit all of my stuff (although I did laundry during the trip), including shoes and souveniers. I mostly carried it backpack-style. If you want to travel light, this backpack is very lightweight and pretty roomy. I definitely recommend it.

I fly twice a week for work, and frequently find myself stuck on the smaller regional jets that some airlines have fallen in love with. The overhead bins on many of these planes will not accommodate even a smaller "rollaboard" suitcase. My Eagle Creek rollaboard JUST MISSES fitting into a CRJ900 overhead by 3/4" because of its lower rigid frame, so I'm forced to gate-check it. The Timbuk2 Wingman (Medium) has the same length-by-width footprint as my rollaboard (21" by 14"), and fits into the small overhead bins! No need to gate-check my bag and wait 10-15 minutes in the jetway for the bag to be unloaded and brought up!I was also very pleased to find that if you use the Eagle Creek Pack-It Cubes (which I do) to organize your packing, the Wingman nicely fits a pair of the full sized Cubes as a layer. So, it can easily hold 4 full Pack It Cubes (2 per layer) or 2 Cubes and the larger Eagle Creek Folder (I have the 18" folder but the 20" should fit as well) with some room to spare.
For me, the backpack straps complete the package. I had to stand in customs lines on my first trip with this bag, and never experienced any fatigue, where I'm sure I would have wanted to set the bag down if I'd used the included shoulder strap.
The computer pocket is huge, but I have to admit I won't put my Macbook Pro 13" in there without the additional protection of a sleeve. I'm using the Timbuk2 Quickie. It fits in the pocket, and I just pull it out before tossing the Wingman bag into the overhead.
Time and travel will tell how durable this bag is. My wife has owned some other Timbuk2 bags that she carries 20 pounds of books and paperwork in. With a lifetime guarantee, I'm certainly willing to see how well this bag stands up to life on tho road.

This is a very lightweight, portable option to a wheel aboard carry on. I wish it was an inch or two thicker to be closer to the max carry on size but it serves my purposes well. The first time I used this was on a 12 day trip to Europe where we were taking trains from city to city and I didn't want to be dragging my luggage on the subway. This was my only bag in addition to a small shoulder bag. I fit 6 days worth of clothes in here plus my toiletries and a few miscellaneous items. The bottom pocket is great for a spare pair of shoes or dirty laundry since it has a flexible divider. The top pocket is great for your 3-1-1 liquids bag for quick access going through security. The small front pocket is great for stashing boarding passes or a thin guide book or a stocking cap and gloves. The back pocket which is designed for a laptop is also great for all your important paperwork for your trip since if you wear this as a backpack that side is inaccessible to pickpockets. The mesh pocket in the flap when you open the main compartment is good for small items like socks and underwear. The straps in the main compartment help keep everything from sliding around when cinched tight.
I have only carried this as a backpack and my one suggestion is to add a sternum strap for comfort which you can buy on Amazon or elsewhere from the manufacturer. Using a packing folder organizer in it helps add structure but isn't necessary. I removed the shoulder strap for carrying it as a messenger bag and use that on a different bag. I have used this on a half dozen trips and its great for anywhere from a weekend to a week if you're a light packer. I even fit it under the seat on a smaller plane that didn't have dividers between the underseat area in front of my husband and I. The small size would probably be better for that purpose but I don't really need two of these.
For trips where a roller bag is inconvenient or too big, this is my go to bag now. This bag was great for a trip with the kids. As a Dad I'm always carrying something besides my stuff. Being able to use this as a backpack while still having the organizational features of luggage was great. I always had 2 hands available and the bag didn't flop around like a messenger bag would have. This is not a real backpack however. If your thinking about hiking the appalachian trail with this thing you'll be sorry. Its comfortable enough to get you through the airport but its not a super long distance hauler. To be fair I don't think it could be. Most real backpacks of this size have some sort of frame and weigh twice as much which would not be an advantage on a plane. I normally travel very light. I don't bring more than 4 days of clothing as I always find a way to clean them. Having said that this bag swallowed this easily. I didn't bring a suit or a change of shoes which would have filled more of this bag. The suit also would have needed some protection or at least the dry cleaning bag as it might wrinkle. I found the internal straps very helpful in keeping the clothes compact and less lumpy. I also got the packing cube which is helpful. The bag fit very easily on all the planes and the messenger strap did double duty replacing a cheap strap on a soft sided cooler during the trip. All and all if you travel light and need both hands to manage other stuff and want to get through airports quickly this bag is perfect. If I still traveled a lot for business I might use this bag. I always found the wheeled bags would fall over or be difficult to get around in a crowd. It was nice not to be trailing a rolling bag. I just don't know if it would wrinkle your suit.

Very DISAPPOINTED in this product!
Purchased a month ago. The zipper is broken on both sides.
Very DISAPPOINTED in this product!i love this bag! it is beautiful! i love butterflies and this bag is awesome! thanks for having a great product for me to carry my computer around in.my laptop fit great in here and i wasent expecting it to have the dring so i could clip on a shoulder stap but it did so that just made it even better. absolutely love my laptop sleeveI am throughtly enjoying these laptop cases. I bought a sleeve in a 15 inch to place inside of the 17 inch so I could have space between the cases for cords, mouse and other items. So far it has held up wonderfully.
Yes I would recommendthese to a friend.
Incase CL57483 Nylon Sling Sleeve 15-Inch - Black
The case itself seems fine (and I'm sure it's a terrific case for the older MacBook Pro), but I guess it was my fault for not noticing that the apple store sells the DELUXE version of this bag. The Deluxe version is more custom made for the thinner retina display MacBook Pro, it has an extra zipper so you can charge the MacBook pro while it's in the case, and it has an extra pocket inside to hold your iPad. They look "almost" identical, so this is really my own mistake for not noticing I was getting the wrong bag. I also discovered the deluxe version is ONLY being sold to the Apple store, from Apple (in store or online from apple.com). I couldn't find the deluxe version of this bag on Amazon.
As I said, I'm sure this is a fine bag (I eventually just threw down the extra money and got the deluxe version, and it's a really great bag so far), and the mistake is entirely my own fault, but I'm writing this review just to help stop others from making the same mistake I made. Will this bag still carry the MacBook Pro retina display? Of course, just like any other laptop bag will. Just expect it to have a bit more "wiggle room" for the thinner retina display item. This bag was designed for and is a perfect fit for a 15" Macbook Pro. I can see why they sell it for $59.95 at the Apple Store. Like the Macbook Pro, this bag is itself a masterpiece of design excellence. The bag is very protective of my Mac and wonderfully versatile. The satchel handles hide themselves in their own little pockets and are strong and padded. The shoulder strap clips on and off with secure clips and loops and is well padded and stores in the velcro-closing rear pocket, which is also great for files or thinner books. Even the zipper pulls are well constructed and attractive. There are inner pockets in the outer pockets for pens, phone/ipod etc. and the outer pockets easily fit the charger and lots of other gear. So the bag works as a shoulder bag, a satchel bag, or a bulky sleeve. As you can tell, I am very impressed with the design and workmanship of this bag. Kudos to Incase for their thoughtfulness.

In summary: This is the second Incase Sling Sleeve I've purchased, but only because I love the purple/orange color combination so decided to splurge. And I'm happier with the second than I was with the first.I have two laptop bags: this and the Timbuk2 laptop messenger bag. Yes, this is much more 'minimalist', but that's why I like it. My Timbuk2 bag is perfect for when I have to lug more stuff around (and is great for flying as it still counts as a "personal" item), but is HEAVY and bulky when loaded down. The Incase bag is perfect when all I need is my computer and a few papers. I also have one of the first versions of this bag that has the same features, but the front exterior pocket is velcro. The zipper on the latest version is an improvement as the velcro often stuck to the short handles and they're now pretty frayed. Also, the darker colors available in the new version will hide stains and dirt from general use better than my lighter color. I'd recommend this to anyone that is looking for a streamlined, minimalist bag. I've had mine for 4 years now and besides some minor stains it's in basically the same condition as when I bought it.
FYI: I have a a Lenovo (ThinkPad) Z61t, which is a 14" widescreen laptop. It fits with room. If you're wondering whether or not your laptop will fit, try eBags' "Does this bag fit my laptop?" tool on their website located near the product information of most bags. I bought this case because I had the same case for the Apple Macbook Pro 13" and loved it. However, I did return this case because it was NOT fitted to the Macbook Pro 15" as snug as the 13" case was fitted. Also, I did NOT like the fact that Incase modified the external pockets with a zipper on top of the pockets instead of the flap. The flap offered much better/easier access to the pockets. For what it's worth, I contacted Incase and expressed to them my comments/observations as well... I wound up buying the Brenthaven ProStyle(tm) Lite Expandable SC. For my use (personal and business travel) the Brenthaven is by FAR the BEST and MOST VERSATILE case I ever owned/used while toting around a notebook pc for the past 20 years.Want Incase CL57483 Nylon Sling Sleeve 15-Inch - Black Discount?
What's good:*Sleek and stylish. Looks modern yet understated. Goes with everything.
*Adequately protective: A soft, almost furry lining to protect your machine. (But not much padding, so don't toss this around.)
*Zippered and velcro outer compartments; gives you the options to zip something up safely (wallet), or just tuck it in for fast access (phone).
*Lightweight.
What's not so good:
*Not much room. You put in your laptop and a folder, and it's full. Bulkier items can be squeezed in, but they will distort the profile of this bag. Even adding the power cord (although it will fit) makes the bag bulge. Could have used a little more room!
Giving this bag 4 stars because it's very nice-looking, and I do use it daily. But it would be greatly improved by more carrying space.
